  The table is the perfect size for little ones, it easily fits six pre-schoolers. I bought this item for my two children (2 and 3 yrs old) and they absolutely LOVE it. We have the matching sand-box, which I also highly recommend.
  
  The table surface is a rough, simulated-wood finish, but wipes clean easily. The table is very sturdy, the benches can support an adult, and the umbrella fabric is much better quality than I expected.
  
  Assembly took about 10 minutes and is easier with two adults, one to hold the table in place, and one to install the (12) screws. I installed all the screws without pre-drilling any holes and used a manual screwdriver. It was not excessively difficult, although assembly would definitely have been easier had the batteries for my cordless drill been charged. I would not recommend attempting to assemble the table by yourself, although it can be done.
  
  This is a great product for little ones and I would recommend it to anyone with a pre-schooler.

  I just bought this for my kiddos and WE love it. As far as coloring goes and getting food or what not off the surface it really doesnt seem like a big deal to me. The groves arent so deep that you cant clean it off. Besides if the child is coloring from a coloring book i dont see an issue. Even if it where one page there are always ways....**rolls eyes at other comment**
  The umbrella is an awesome size, i thought it was going to be the really small cheap fabric flimsy kind...its really good quality.

  This is the best kids table I've ever seen. The plastic won't give splinters like a wood table would. It is heavy duty so it won't tip over. The umbrella is tall and wide. This picnic-style table is perfect for small kids because there are not individual chairs for them to have to pull in and out and fumble over. They can easily step in and sit down without tripping or falling. It is comfortable seating for 4 small kids. But by the time they turn 6 years old, they will be too tall for this table. Buy it for your small ones. I'm extremely happy with ours!

  I recently bought this table online for my 2 year old daughter. The picture of it is quite deceiving because I noticed when I took it out of the box that the top of the table is not smooth like most children's pick nick tables are. I bought it for the purpose of coloring and play dough, however with the real wood affect it wood not be good for coloring because of all of the raised edges. It would also be very difficult to clean the play dough and food out of all of the groves. I was very disappointed.

  I was happy with this purchase. I have been looking for a picnic table to use outside for quite awhile. I love the color and the fact it holds more children. The umbrella is cute but may not last outside in the bad weather. We keep it seperate in the garage when not using that part. The table is sturdy and fits six kids ages 2-3yrs in my preschool. This is the best one I have seen and not a bad price.

  I am a home daycare provider. I LOVE this table. It is much better built than the other brands. It was very easy to put together. Only to about 10 mins. The kids love it. The umbrella is great. I do bring it in every night. We eat our snacks on it, play doh and do arts in crafts on it. The only thing is the color. It get very hot in this Texas sun and it's only April. I didn't think about that when I bought and I bought quite a few of the Naturally Playful outdoor toys. But that is my only complaint.

  I've owned this along with the teeter totter and sand/water table for about 2 years. All are holding up great. They haven't been weathered at all, with the exception of the umbrella which I am purchasing a replacement from the Step2 website for a very small fee. We mainly use it for eating and play-dough. Much bigger than others on the market. My kids are 6 and 3. Great line of products!

  I am a mother of a 17 month old who just loves this little table! We got it to have something she could sit on while playing outside. Now she wants to eat outside too; which we both love doing. It has a great umbrella that really shades the whole table and the table size its self is just perfect. When we have play group at our house all the kids can sit on it too. It seats 6 children but I wouldn't put any heavy children on it as there is a weight limit. If you do, the child could end up bending the seat because it is made of only plastic and is hollow on the inside. It was easy to put up too, but if I didn't have an electric screw gun it would have been harder to do by hand. Overall I still give it a five star since the main thing is that my child loves it!
  
  
• The Perfect Picnic Table!!!!!!!

  We just got this picnic table for my daughter's 2nd birthday and she loves it!! And so do her brother (almost 6 y.o.) and sister (3 y.o.) It was very easy to assemble - took me (Mom) less than 20 minutes. Very sturdy table. And I love how it looks - it goes well with our "adult" furniture. We also have the sand box from Step 2 and it matches our new table perfectly. My kids are loving it. I love that it's durable and will not give them the splinters that a wooden table might give. It can be easily cleaned too. I can see us getting lots of use from this table!

  Love it. Our Boys age 2 and 4 use it almost every day in the summer. Would buy it again in a heartbeat. Umbrella lasted only one season in direct sunlight but even without the umbrella it's 5 stars.

  My 2 sons love this table. When it is a nice day out, they want to eat lunch on their picnic table. It can seat 6 kids, although there is a weight limit. Has a cute little umbrella to block the sun which easily opens and closes...my kids do it themselves. This unit is pretty sturdy, I have sat on it with my kids too. I didnt really fit, but my younger one kept asking me to sit with him. Easliy wipes clean b/c of the plastic material or you can hose it down.Didn't take very long to put it together, maybe about 10-15 minutes. I like this one better than the Littel Tykes table, plus the umbrella comes with it. I think the umbrella with the LT was an extra cost. The neutral colors are great for either gender and looks nice outside blending in with nature.

  This table is on the pricier side of outdoor tables however, the durability of both the table and the umbrella compared to others make it well worth the money. It has endured rainy windy weather for months now and shows no signs of wear or tear. IT can seat 4 kids with ease and 6 kids comfortably, it has been used with all ages includiong adults. We use this table for everything from eating to arts and crafts. I will address the table top only b/c prior comments have addressed this. The table top does have a natural wood grain effect, which does not give the table top a perfectly smooth feel but can still be cleaned easily. Playdough may get stuck in the grooves as opposed to a flat surface , but can easily be cleaned. If you are coloring on a single sheet of paper you may have raised spots when coloring, but can also be a cool texurizing effect( my son liked it). Regardless neither of these minor issues would effect my opinion of rebuying this item.

  The table arrived when it was promised. My little grand-daughter loves the umbrella part. She spins it. I like how the table is secured with screws so I do not have to worry about it falling apart. It looked the way it does in the picture.

  THIS PICNIC TABLE WAS A WONDERFUL BUY. I PUT IT IN THE BACKYARD AROUND THE PLAY GROUND AREA, WHEN WE HAVE GUEST OVER FOR A PICNIC ALL THE CHILDREN SIT AT THE TABLE UNDER THE UMBRELLA. THEY ALL LOVE IT AND ENJOY. MY 2 KIDS ARE SMALL AND WE CAN FIT 4 MORE CHILDREN AROUND THE TABLE. THE BEST AND MOST DORABLE PICNIC TABLE OUT THERE. I HAVE GOTTEN ALOT OF COMPLIMENTS ON IT.   Purchased this item for my granddaughter's 4th birthday. She (and the neighborhood children) love it and use it all the time. Adults who have seen it are impressed with the stability and overall quality of the product. Would highly recommend it to anyone with little children.   I bought this for my boy for his 2 yr. b-day. He loves to sit and eat on it. Even just to take a break from hard play to rest and rehydrate! It's easy to move. It's not easy for a kid to move! Easy to clean, I just spray water on the table pull up the umbrella and let the sun dry it. I just love that it has an umbrella to protect the kids from the sun. It is easy for Adults to remove the umbrella to put away. A tree shade may do the trick but you can't always leave it under the tree b/c you have to watch out for the bird poo... I have had no ant problems yet.... Once you put the table together the kids can't take it apart. It's some pretty tough plastic plus recyclable. should last for years on end!!!

• Flimsy and tough to assemble

  This table is adorable and less expensive than the competition, so overall it's a good buy. However, it required 2 people to assemble because the large legs must be folded and held tight while screws are inserted. There were no pilot holes for the screws, and the plastic got extremely hot in the time it took to assemble the table outdoors. Furthermore, the bench noticeably sags when my 2 year old sits in the middle seat. I don't think it will support his weight by next summer (and he is an average weight for his age).

  I just bought this table and I love it. I mean, my kids love it. This table is durable enough for climbing on and will not tip over if two kids are on one side. My boys are 4 and 15 months going on 3 years and there is still plenty of room for someone else's kids to sit down too. The umbrella is a big hit and is easy to adjust the height and to remove altogether. I would recommend a power drill to put in the screws but other than that it is another quality product from Step2.

  This product is very well made, and will last a lifetime! I bought a toy box from Step2 for my first granddaughter 13 years ago and we are using it for my second granddaughter now who is 2 1/2 years old. I expect this picnic table to last just as long.The design is very unique from other tables, that is what caught my eye.They are a great company!

  My 18 month old daughter received this as a gift and has been using it for the last two months. We love it. The "natural" look and colors are pleasing. We keep this in her playroom and she can easily get on and off of the bench by herself and play with her toys on the table. The size of the table is small enough not to take up too much room, and it would easily hold 6 kids as advertised. It was quick to put together with a drill.
  This table is made for kids only, adults cannot easily sit at this table and it is not strong enough to hold an adult's weight.

• WONDERFUL & DURABLE

  I have had this table for 3 years now and it looks just as good as the first day we set it up outside. It accommodates children of all ages and is very study. I have, however, replaced the umbrella twice (in the three years.) Once due to us forgetting to bring it inside during a bad storm and the other time because our children decided to make a boat out of it! The replacement was easy to find on the STEP 2 website and under 20 bucks. And we have learned to bring down the umbrella after each use :) Overall, this has been a wonderful picnic table. It sits next to ours and the kids (now 5 &6) enjoy juice and hotdogs on a sunny day!

  My husband and I are very happy with this table. We purchased it for our son's 2nd birthday party. Six toddlers fit comfortably at the table. As with any plastic sitting in the sun, it does get a bit hot. Overall, I would recommend this picnic table!
