Better than the first movies By on 2005-02-18
Even though I hate Pokemon, this movie wasn't that bad. It was about this Pokemon that came from outer space. The movie was first showed at Kids WB. If you go there, you can watch a sneak peek. Also, the movie has more fighting than the other Pokemon movies. So, Pokemon fans should watch this movie. It also gives you a free card if you buy the dvd. So watch this movie and have a blast!

Yo! This is an awesome movie! This time Ash and his friends, Pikachu, May, Max and Brock are ready to.....save High Tech (Larousse) City? Four years ago a meteor containing a mysterious Pokemon (Deoxys) crashes on the North Pole. Prof. Lund, Yuko and Tory watch as the legendary Rayquaza fights Deoxys. Once the battle is over, Deoxys slowly regenerates....... In the present Deoxys and
Rayquaza fight again but while they fight, Rayquaza accidently causes a block party (It's a bad thing). Now it's up to Ash, Pikachu and Tory to save Larousse City from this block party.
From an Older Pokemon Fan By A3PA356FVFKJDY on 2005-02-17
So I watched "Destiny Deoxys" tonight, and was plesantly (well, not surprised, but yes, surprised at the same time!) I found it to seem much more serious than any of the other Pokemon movies, which I liked. Not to say I couldn't take the others seriously, but there was something in particular about this one. The only thing that might seem a little boring about this movie is the long battles scenes between Rayquaza and Deoxys. Overall, the movie was very refreshing - the animation was simply beautiful and certainly eye-candy. I found Tory/To'oi to be a particularly likeable character, but aside from him, most of the supporting characters which were created specifically for the movie were not given much screen time. Definately worth seeing! :D
CENSURED PIECE OF USA GARBAGE YOU MUST GET THE JP VERSION By AWZ0TVJM90ZNO on 2005-02-20
I have the original japanese dvd from this movie ( with it even in 1:85:1 ) it is pretty censured,i only looked half of both version to make comparisons, 4 full scenes has been censured, even more poor cgi then the JP version, and re-drawed things, i am really surprised that they let the original OST on here, not like on at least the first 3 movies.
This is not the best Pocket Monsters movie but if u wanna see it u must getthe japanese version or don't bother.
P.S - if u just want to know the time spec from both version
JP version - 1 hour 39 mins 34 secs
USA/Europe version - 1 hour 26 min 08 secs
[...]
USA and Europe Anime industry will never learn to just pick up the JP versions and limit themselves to transate te script,no they MUST put theyr time on it to destroy everything they just can.
P.S-2 I am very very afraid how Naruto will come out. ( another great anime re-made for little kiddies ) very sad
That is why i am giving the USA version 1 star ( i would give it 0 if i could )

Dude! This movie is awesome! On a new journey, Ash and friends get to Lacrosse City and meet Tory, a kid who is scared of Poke'mon. She is "friends" with a light that ends up being- well- something it isn't. Rayquaza and this "thing" face off in a stunning conclusion!
- Pokemon the Movie 7: Visitor From The Space Fissure
     By A4D7ITMQQ2DUP on 2006-11-06
(Just as a note, that's the Japanese title)
There's something about this movie that I've always liked. I'm not sure what it is, but being a Pokemon fan, of course I like it. The movie have always been great, and this one has something that I really like about it.
The movie starts out in the North Pole, with a scientist named Dr. Lund, his friend Yuko, and his son, Tory. There is suddenly an explosion, and Tory is trampled by a frightened pack of Walrein. And, as they say, after that, all heck broke looks.
A meteor is the reason for the explosion, and the creature inside the meteor is more than your average Pokemon. Deoxys, a rare Pokemon from another planet (woah, more than one Poke-Planet? Niiice.) The strange creature, carrying a rock with a gem inside, is suddenly attacked by the large, dragon-esque Rayquaza, a frequenter of the Ozone Layer. So, what the heck is he here for?
Ah, So Rayquaza feels threatened by Deoxys, and so, both pokemon break out in a rather spectacular pokemon battle. (With some pretty cool background music, might I add.) So, professor Lund flees with his colleages, and son.
Four years later, a young Pokemon trainer named Ash Ketchum, along with some friends, enter the high tech city of La Rousse, and as fate would have it, Tory's hometown. And, well, I won't spoil it from there. The plot is good, and Deoxys' 'destructive' intentions are less cruel than one would think. Don't worry, folks, no angsty Mewtwo-copy here.
Also, Rayquaza brings some nice battles into the movie. His fights against Deoxys are totally awesome. The soundtrack is also great. I really love the music played during The opening scenes of the movie, and the fights between Rayquaza and Deoxys. The animation is very spiffy, shiny bright and new :P.
I haven't had the pleasure of watching the original Japanese version of the movie, but when I do, I'll tell you all about it, 'kay?
Well, I guess that pretty much wraps things up. Oh yes, Tory's afraid of pokemon, due to the whole 'get attacked by a herd of walrein' thing. Heh. Okay then, Sayanora, faithful readers!
- un des films pokémons que j'aime
     By A7DD4OVUBNDOX on 2005-05-13

It's So Awesome. I Saw The Movie On "Cartoon Network" Last Saturday And Sunday. And I Was Just Blown Away By It. It's So Cool. And At The Start Of The Movie You Get To See All Of The Pokemon Such As, Volpix, Evee, Ryhorn, Onyx, Geodude, And All The Others. And The Very Best Part Of The Movie Is That The New Pokemon Deoxys Doesn't Talk. And It Can Also Double It's Ownself. And It Also Has A Twin Too. So I Would Like Everyone To Buy This Moive. It's A Must Have For Any Pokemon Fan.

- THE best PKMN movie
     By on 2005-01-27
I saw this movie on January 22, the WB Promo, and I swear it was THE best! A Lot more graphics and the story was better too. It also showed a new pokemon, Gonbe, dubbed into Munchlax. It was almost as good as the 1st one, way better than the 6th one. You must get it the day it comes out. Very interesting.
- Excellent!

Pokémon: Destiny Deoxys is a movie about the arrival of Deoxys to earth in a meteorite. Ash, May, Brock, and Max travel to a LaRousse City, where the Battle Tower is located. There they meet Tory, a boy who is afraid of Pokémon because of a psychological trauma formed when Sealeo ran over him because of Deoxys' arrival.
The movie was released in North America on January 22, 2005 and will premiere on Disney DVD and Video on February 15, 2005.

A far letdown from the genius of the Celebi film.
Team Rocket appears for all of 2 minutes. Bummer!
Pokemon needs to get back to its roots.
- Great Movie/Action Packed
     By A1P2C9QYVJQI75 on 2005-03-21
This movie is amazing compared to any of the previous movies. The authors seemed to have used more advanced animation equipment and software to make the movie stunning in its storyline brilliance and its animation. If you are looking for a great movie to watch, this is worth a look at. Yes, it may be a little more expensive than the other movies, but its a great value. As another reviewer has said, "You only live once, don't pass this deal up, and buy Pokemon : Destiny Deoxys."
- DESTINY DEOXYS....Hmmmm....
     By A2TYI07XVELX2M on 2005-08-16
Well, the story line wasn't all that great. Quite basic and just dragged on a bit. Unlike the other pokemon movies which had something cool or special or unique, this movie had nothing new that wasn't already in the other pokemon movies. Just new Poke'mon. Overall I give this movie a 2.5 out of 5.
- Good for a pokemon fan but I'd just rent it.
     By A1YB9JNX56PA0I on 2005-11-01
Like all the other pokemon movies and the series this is pretty gay. but this movie actually has some cool pokemon clashes in it! This means it's a little more violent then the others. The clashes between Deoxy and Rayquayza were epic and made me jump out of my seat once during a pokemon movie/episode. I'd just watch this for the action. But yoy shoul see the part where Rayquaza (The dragon) Created a Huge energy ball like Dragonball Z and fired it at Deoxys. you just gotta see this for yourself, but alot of this movie is boring stuff and once again you gotta see a few more team rocket moments which are the boringest.
- Wow
