  These four-size headed pens are fabulous for detail work on acrylic or oil paintings. I use them for portraits. The only thing you need to remember is to buy a larger set. I started with a 24 and a 48, because larger sets were out of stock. Today, I finally got a 144-color set and now I can hardly wait for the weekend to use them. The wider heads make what is almost like a water-color wash over large areas, while the fine point is wonderful for details.

  I got these for an artist friend of mine, and she was absolutely thrilled. I still have yet to see any of the drawings that she's done using them, though. Still, the fact that she seems to love them quite a bit is a good sign. She seemed to like the sketchbook I got with them more even though it was cheaper! I guess a blank sheet of paper is sometimes worth more than the ability to draw with nothing to draw on.

  I found my experience positive. It was a colorful. I recommend others to purchase and use these markers. As a teacher I have used them for several years. This is the third time purchasing this item. they are very useful for teacher or student projects.
