IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP ON. By A3KKYNEYUICKX2 on 2006-06-25
Before I start bashing this product, I want to say that it looks and feels very sturdy and of good quality materials.
Now for the bad...
The darn divets or rivets or whatever you call them make it impossible to sleep comfortably on these beds without waking up at night or next morning with pain due to impeded blood flow to your extremities (e.g. legs). The divets (or bumps on the top of the bed) apply pressure to your body unevenly and that's what makes it dangerous in terms of affecting blood flow in your lower body.
I had 3 people in my family sleep on this mattress for one night. All of them said that it was uncomfortable due to the uneven sleep surface (divets/bumps in design of top side). One said that she woke up with numbing in one of her legs.
I would recommend you stay away from all of these Aero mattresses. Maybe their new "Memory Foam" model can fix this significant fault, however, there are no reviews about them yet. It's ridiculous how they provided the fix to us in the form of expensive ($$$) "Memory Foam" instead of just evening out the surfaces on all of their mattresses. It doesn't take much engineering or materials, and definitely doesn't require $100 more in fancy shmancy foam.
I am going to buy one of those extremely over priced memory foam mattresses this week and make sure to let you know how it works out.
over and out.
Good product By A3QE6J4T3VAQDQ on 2006-03-26
We found this product very useful. It works as a spare bed for overnight guests. Also the inflation and deflation are a breeze with the wired remote control.
We have to hold the remote buttons manually for the desired level of inflation, which is a little uncomfortable because you have to hold the button down for atleast 2-3 minutes.Small issue anc can be overlooked considering the quality and the space it saves.
Outstanding product By AXIRIZLKFYRP0 on 2007-01-09
This is the third AeroBed I've purchased, and all three have been delightfully comfortable and easy to use. The Premier Classic has every feature needed for quick, user-friendly custom comfort, in either a temporary or more extended application.
Comfortable Sleeping on Air By A3M46K67OMMMD1 on 2007-04-02
This mattress inflates with an electric control. You shouldn't stand on this as it may decrease in air volume, however, I've had it for about four weeks and found I only have to reinflate every week or so.
Leave the plug in. By A17BOZVUU4WWHQ on 2007-09-10
If you're like me and prefer a firm mattress, leave the plug in for about 5 minutes after it inflates. Believe me, you'll notice the difference.
- Very Comfortable
     By A102OEE5JCTH6C on 2006-07-14
The Premier Classic AeroBed is very comfortable. I bought it as a temporary solution when I needed to buy a new bed, and ended up using it for about a month. I would recommend it for nightly use!
- Excellent support from this AeroBed
     By A16C3R0LJ8HC2G on 2007-07-12
I love my new AeroBed Premier Classic with comfort zone coils. I sleep on it every night. It is placed on top of my side of our King sized bed. The coils are perfect as they support my back more, (I have back problems) and my feet less, (so they aren't up in the air like they would be on an average air mattress). It also arrived much sooner than I expected and packaging was more than adequate.
- Deployed to Iraq
     By A3M30U3KYB618H on 2008-04-19
I have been deployed to Iraq for over a year. I ordered my Aerobed Classic with Comfort Zone Coils within a month of arrival. The beds and mattresses in our quarters were not comfortable and I woke up with an aching back nearly every day.
The Aerobed was delivered promptly. I have used it every day for a year and have been very pleased. It is extremely comfortable, because you are able to adjust the inflation with the touch of a button. If I ever felt uncomfortable, I could make the mattress firmer or softer in seconds. I found that the mattress held air very consistently and I rarely had to re-inflate it.
After using the mattress every day for a year, it finally developed a slow leak. Also the internal baffles in one section separated from the outer skin and formed a bulge. This occured within about three weeks of the warranty expiration. I contacted customer service and they promptly sent me a replacement.
I am exceptionally pleased with the product and with the customer service. I would certainly recommend this product and this manufacturer to anyone looking for a quality air bed. This product helped me get a significantly better night's sleep each day so that I could focus more clearly on my job during my deployment to Iraq with the Army.
- AeroBed 11813 Premier Classic
     By AS5DZQYQW28T9 on 2007-03-29
So far this bed is a huge step up from the air mattress it replaced.
It is even across the whole surface and it inflates enough to offer a firm surface.
It looses very little air over time, it is something hard to gauge, but I have added air maybe every 7 days, just a little, which seems really good for this type of system, and certainly it doesn't change appreciably over the course of a night.
I use this bed as my everyday bed, with a memory foam top on it.
- Recommended for occasional use
     By A90YOQS98V66C on 2008-05-29
I bought this Aerobed because of previous positive experience with a similar model (which now lives at my son's house for our occasional week-long visits) and in spite of a negative experience with the Pillow-top version (the pillow-top doesn't expand as wide as the bottom does on inflation, so it tends to become something of a pillow-tub). Unfortunately, this "Premier Classic" appears to have a slow leak-- it starts out firm and fine, but over night, it becomes softer and bouncier-- when my wife rolls over, I bounce around some, and vice-versa. The other queen-size "Classic" that I have stays firm and non-bouncy all night with no problem. (It is evidently a previous model, because the plug-in air pump is external to the mattress and strapped onto the end.) This newer (?) version has all the pump stuff inside a rigid plastic plate, and requires plug-in power for inflation AND deflation, unlike the other model which deflates all by itself when a valve is opened and the mattress is compressed. I also own a camper version with a rechargeable attached air pump, and it performs quite well-- no leaks so far. I do vastly prefer the internal support structure of Aerobeds over the cheaper competition, and they are much sturdier, so on balance I would buy another.
- Very good construction.
     By A2MJ788T8J5GO8 on 2007-08-14
I use this aerobed when I have guest over. Inflates quickly and easy to deflates within minutes. This is my 3rd aerobed and this one exceeds the others in quality and appearance.
- Very comfy
     By AD4VXB0QQAY1S on 2007-08-20
I just slept on this bed for 2 weeks and it is very comfortable- the inflate and deflate button make it so easy to adjust for the perfect sleep surface. It came with a nice fleece matress pad too, which kept the noise level of the plastic down when you move. They just keep making these better and easier to use. This is a good value for the money.
- Love it!
     By AYA1R9KDPBMYT on 2007-12-17
I've been sleeping on this bed now for 2 weeks and I cannot say enough good things about it. I bought it as my mattress on my bed was shot and I don't have the money right now to replace it. I do have a bed that is about 4 ft off the ground now, so I can't fall out without injury, but I sleep wonderfully! I highly recommend this product!
- Very disappointed in the bed and Aerobed Customer Service.
     By AI2PFU3E9OMDY on 2008-06-02
I purchased this bed because of the rave reviews, but mine arrived with a leak, and even though the instructions told me to CALL AEROBED, DO NOT RETURN TO PLACE OF PURCHASE, but rather than replace the bed, they told me to spray the bed thoroughly with a spray bottle filled with water and a drop of soap, and still I could not find a leak, even though I spent 45 intimate minutes with this bed, trying to find the leak. A subsequent phone call to Aerobed resulted in their insistance I return the product to the place of purchase. After all that, I still had to package the bed back up and take it to the post office, to return it to Amazon. I feel I have spent too much time on this bed and resent all this extra nonsense. The bed was to be for a weekend guest, so it was a huge problem that it arrived and wouldn't stay inflated. The guest slept on the couch.
- Sleeping like a baby...
     By A3EPHBMU07LZ50 on 2008-06-08
I purchased this bed and have slept on it for the past week. I believe in trying things out to make sure my guests won't suffer from backaches, etc.
The Aerobed provides a comfortable night's rest. I have slept like a baby after trying this air mattress out. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
- Great Bed!
     By A2JFCIWCJT9195 on 2007-11-02
The Aero Bed is an amazing bed. Works as described. You can put two twin beds together and use a queen sheet set and its just like one bed. I love the deflate and inflate to make the bed exactly like you prefer. Would recommend this bed to anyone. Bought them for my mom and dad when they came to visit and they were so comfortable and sleep great!
- Recessed pump????
     By A3S939J6Z9AR59 on 2006-10-27
I have owned several of these mattresses, and found them to be very comfortable. I have trouble with pressure points and this is the only type mattress I can sleep on. I now need a new one and can not find the words RECESSED PUMP in the description! I can't order it if this is not so, because it will not fit the bed!
Can anyone tell me if this model has a recessed pump? I called amazon and they can't give me any more info than what's on the website.
Thanks
- Great for Guests
     By AYJMUWR3FTZ5G on 2007-08-01
This is great to have around for guests. I live in a one bedroom apartment and when friends come visit for a weekend I just push the coffee table to the side and set this up in the livingroom. When not in use I keep in the the bottom of my linen closet where it does not take up much space. For a few nights it fine, but I dont think I would want to sleep on it full time, the soft cover is nice!
- Wonderfully comfortable
     By A378MCBY2QJZLP on 2008-02-15
I bought this after reading a number of reviews on different makes/models of air beds. This was definitely the best choice. We put an eggcrate foam pad on top of the mattress. It is so comfortable, I would take it any day over my traditional mattress. Works well on platform bed frames as well.
- Good price for a great product
     By A1TSVEYSGH29R4 on 2008-02-25
I purchased the Aerobed through Amazon that was priced a third higher from other sources.
- arrived cracked
     By A3QXM3IK09981P on 2007-08-27
When we tried to inflate the bed we saw the reason it couldn't inflate - a 1" stress crack right near the motor. I had purchased an aerobed before as a gift and it was perfect. This is disappointing but I hope to receive a replacement shortly.
- glad i bought it
     By A2YTH51SYQIXGP on 2007-12-17
inflates quickly. doesn't deflate via pump though. otherwise, really happy with this purchase, as i dont have a guest bed but i do have many guests.
- Good buy!
     By A31CXX4ATX55IW on 2008-04-11
Bought this bed to use for a short period of time when I was working shift. No problems. Quick to set up and take down. Not quite the bed at home...but great for the road!
- Best Matress Ever
     By AVMIDVQQJQLOV on 2007-11-02
The product was just as described. Even better, I would say. It remained inflated for 7 days, the cover is soft, the air pump is discreet and the one touch button makes it perfect for anyone. Just love it.
- AeroBed Premier Classic - Twin
     By A2N1NWJAG7KP0C on 2007-12-22
We bought two of these to use as a temporary king size bed. This mattress is very comfortable. Two of these almost seem bigger than our king size mattress and more comfortable.
- Very comfortable.
     By A2JNDBDNBZE2CI on 2008-01-29
I have 14 year old son over every weekend. He has been sleeping on sofa / futon for months. He always complained how uncomfortable it was. I bought a cheapo blow up camping mattress for 39.00. Then had to buy blow up motor on top of that. It was very uncomfortable and I even tried for a night. Back to the futon for him.
Checked around and heard good things about this mattress. WOW, what a great deal. My son loves it. I put sleeping bag on top of mattress and it feels like real bed. Built in blower motoer is just topping on this product.
Pleasant surprice, it actually fits in carry bag.
- Easy to inflate/deflate and comfortable
     By A2TY1QWCGINUPV on 2008-04-20
This is my first AeroBed purchase and I was not disappointed. My brother-in-law (whose quite tall) slept comfortably on it for a few nights. It was very easy to inflate and deflate (a matter of seconds), it fits nicely in it's carrying bag, and we inflated it 10 hours before he actually slept on it and it didn't lose any air in the interim. I am an AeroBed believer!
- AeroBed Premier Classic
     By AK3H3M5DT3WEH on 2008-04-29
I purchased the AeroBed Premier Classic with Comfort Zone Coils in the twin size for my daughter (13) to use while we were visiting relatives... She loved it.. she said it was very comfortable. It was no trouble to set up or take down and was delivered days before I was expecting it.
- Very good product
     By A2GXRNRUA7ETBG on 2008-05-02
I like the product a lot. It is light. My 10 year old son can carry it with ease. It comes with a bag and a bed cover. The pump that comes with it works really well. The bed is very air tight. It is my back up bed now. I would highly recommend it.
- Better than a conventional mattress!
     By A34G7O2TBKODJ4 on 2008-06-02
My husband has back problems, and his previous self-adjusting mattress was shot after only 6 years! Late in 2007 we threw that one out, and used another aerobed that we had for guests. We put that on top of his box spring, and added a feather mattress on top of the aerobed. That works well for him. When I saw this newer style aerobed with a recessed motor, we bought it and put the other one back in storage for guests. This one is so much better because of the hidden motor/pump feature. We can now put that end of the mattress against the wall, without any bulky motor or wires showing. I would highly recommend this even as a replacement for a conventional mattress, if one person is sleeping on it. Since it's adjustable, 2 people couldn't find a happy medium with the inflation, but for 1 person this is the way to go for my husband.
