Simichrome Metal Polish (Restorers) By A2LCWBH5NHL1EP on 2007-01-03
I bought this item because I have a significant amount of brass hardware to clean in my house. The product works well, but requires a great deal of rubbing to get the brass to shine. Not a product for those who are looking for somethin to chemically "peel" the tarnish away. It will clean. But you need tons and tons of "elbow grease" to accomplish the task.
Awesome product! By A1O4M7XK2TR6BM on 2007-10-22
This item is an old standby product that I keep in my cupboard all the time. It cleans and polishes silver, jewelry, anything. It does not require a great deal of rubbing, just enough to get it off and buff to a shine. If you put too much on, that will take some effort. You use it "sparingly". I use the plate system to clean my silver, then, I polish and buff with Simichrome. It definitey slows down the tarnishing. Just go online and find all the wonderful uses and reviews for this product. It is one no kitchen should be without.
Excellent for cleaning and finishing polished wood By A302MDQ3B2L172 on 2008-04-21
In addition to using Simichrome on metals (would advise, incidentally, against using it on silver plate or regularly on sterling, unless they are very heavily tarnished, since it is very abrasive) I use it to clean and restore the finish on antique, French polished furniture. It does a superb job of removing wax build up and will bring or restore a sound shellac finish to a mirror finish. Also works on polyurathane (sp?) finishes. Do not use on wood finishes if the underlying wood is exposed.
Simichrome Metal Polish review By A3723R3VGR6WYF on 2007-12-30
I had used this product before, and found it to be all that it was described to be for polishing brass, gold, or any other type of metal. I was pleased with the product and the service involved in the purchase and delivery.
Simply the Best Metal Polish By AAU4E6YTI0ZEU on 2008-03-11
This is by far the best metal polish I have ever used! I make jewelry and I use Silver solder in the process. I use the Simichrome polish to bring my silver items up to a fantastic shine! I reccomend it to all of my customers as a way to keep their items looking like new. It is not the easiest polish to find but it is worth the hunt when you do find it. I found it easier to order from Amazon.com than to run all over town trying to find it.
- Simichrome is the Beest
     By A2YU7NDA2ERNUY on 2008-06-21
Years ago, when we lived in Philadelphia, we had a large brass door knocker. Each weekend, I'd go out with a can of Brasso and try to polish the brass. It was tough work. A medical student saw my plight and let me borrow his tube os Simichrome. I've never used another polish since. My Army brass never looked so good!
- Best Of Its Kind
     By A1BD4T41QJZBHB on 2008-07-26
I agree that this is a fine polish.I use Simichrome on all type of metals (including heavy silver plate) and also to restore most hard plastics. It will do a very nice job of polishing the plastic and metal surfaces of iPods, for example, with just about no chance of scratching. In the universe of polishes, it is in fact very mildly abrasive. (An example of a very abrasive metal polish would be Brasso.) Fine metal works and makers of metal housewares private label Simichrome as their own recommended polish. An excellent product with a wide range of uses.
- Simichrome
     By A1HZ3174NTPDQ1 on 2008-08-27
As a metal artist, I've tried many products on the market for polishing metal. I find Simichrome and MAAS metal polish to be some of the best. It will even polish lucite or plexiglas, since I make brass salad servers with Lucite handles, and the metal polish is the only thing that gets both materials nicely polished. I find tarnish to be less a problem and the metal retains it's showroom finish longer, which is a plus when I do trade shows. Yes, there is a lot of elbow grease required to get a nice finish, but handpolishing metal on a buffing machine also takes a long time. I find the metal polish to work well on the areas I couldn't mechanically buff smooth. Metal in general is always going to require cleaning and polishing to keep it's luster and I'm thoroughly sick of working in copper now.

- The Perfect Harley Davidson Chrome Polish
     By A36X2IJNTCHVCZ on 2008-10-03
If your looking for the ultimate shine on your Harley chrome, this is the biggest trick in the book... Wipe it on with a suede rag, let it sit (not in the sun) for a few minutes and polish it off with a suede rag (yeah I know it'll is still wet, not dry). Do not let it dry or get on painted engine parts. This tube should last you up to a year depending on the amount of chrome... When it rains you just take a rag and wipe over any water spots that did not fall off and your done. Usually a couple of swipes... leaves the chrome feeling extremely smooth... Just a note, for your paint use the S100 WAX.
If you live anywhere in the DFW Metroplex and need it today, visit American Eagle Harley Davidson in Corinth, Texas. They have it in stock and I paid the same price that is here on Amazon. AEHOG has a sister location in Dallas, Texas as well...
One last note I use the Dr. Clean Autodry (thats right!) to clean my bike and give it that initial shine, that alone will give you a great shine with no spots... I also use an air compressor to dry my bikes as much as possible, but you can use a leaf blower... this is an easy way to remove potential water spots...
Another note, if you get this on your engine parts and it dries, you'll have a heck of a time getting it off... Here is a secret, use peanut butter to remove it from those areas where you goofed...
Okay you have all my cleaning secrets now...
