  Works fine. I think that fittings are not gold plated but so what.
  
  Cable is less flexible than the more expensive one that I replaced and doesn't lay as well but who cares.

  It's hard to believe that this product is a better quality than those found at Radio Shack, for about 25% of the price. A friend who is "up" on electronics recommended these, and they are awesome.

  what ever you do don't waste your money at any electronic store for an hdmi cable. when i bought my plasma, i also purchased a 12 foot hdmi cable for over an 100 dollars. i bought the startech for my playstation 3 and there is no difference between the two cables.

  Hey folks...don't get into the hype that Monster (or your AV guy) wants to feed you. Gold-plated yada yada is just marketing. You are transmitting 1111s and 0000s, not a analog signal. So go cheaper and be wowed!!!

  I connected this from my PS3 to my vizio 32" and it works straight out of the box. I am not sure if the cable supports full 1080p? Anyone knows? Waiting to try it on my Panasonic AE1000U projector.

  Great cable. Works. Cheap. Using this as the primary link to a Pioneer Elite Pro-110FD 50" 1080p plasma from a Pioneer Elite VSX-94TXH receiver. Other components connected to the receiver use various HDMI cables - all are non-name brand HDMI cables. System works great - no issues at all. 1080p @ 24p Blu-ray looks awesome. Sounds great. NO NEED TO PURCHASE EXPENSIVE CABLES!!! Cable is routed around numerous power cords, coax, etc. - no interference of any type. Have the 25' version of this cable connected to a Sharp 1080p LCD and they work great as well.

  Plugged the cable into my cable box and Samsung 40" LCD, and got nothing but crackling and popping noises, along with the video cutting in and out. I replaced the cable with another HDMI cable, and the problem went away. No doubt it was the cable. The price was right, but the quality was not.

  The StarTech HDMI cables are great and relay perfect picture and sound. The problem here is with Amazon and the Amazon Marketplace. I have three Startech HDMI cables in my home theater setup. I recently order a fourth, or so I thought. If you order from one of Amazon's Marketplace vendors, you are not guaranteed to get an actual StarTech HDMI RoHS compliant cable. In fact, you'll get pot luck of whatever 15ft (in the case of my order) HDMI cable the vendor has in stock. Obviously it costs more, but make sure your StarTech cable is sold by and shipped from Amazon to guarantee you are getting the HDMI cable you intend to purchase.

  I am using this cable between my Samsung DVD player and my new Samsung LCD 46" TV Set and with it we can see the movies and the audio as we were in the cinema. Besides the quantity of cables to be plug in the back side of the TV Set was reduced in quantity and in weight which is important in my case because I placed it on upper front wall of my bed room.

  This cable performs great on my 50" Vizio with HD cable. I only wish it didn't have the bulky end pieces. I like this cable so much, I will be buying another when I upgrade my DVD player to HD.

  I wanted to avoid having to pay over 50 for an HDMI cable. My plan was to purchase these cable at a significantly reduced price expecting them to perform on par with the overpriced cables. My logic (not that it isn't without its flaws at times), HDMI cables are inherently superior, given they must adhere to certain specs. Ultimately, to call it an HDMI cable, it must perform at a certain level. I wasn't too worried, as it wasn't an expensive risk.

  This HDMI cable works just as well as any much more expensive cable you can find. I am very happy with the purchase. I bought two cables. One for my PS3 and one for my cable box. Both cables work exactly as intended. Picture and sound quality is the same HD quality as any other HD cable. Do not be tricked by snake-speak from salesmen. HDMI cables are created equal. You do not need to spend a fortune on one. This cable is all you need.

  I can't understand why people pay so much to buy HDMI cables at retail electronics stores like Best Buy,Circuit City or Radio Shack. The StarTech 15 foot HDMI cable is every bit as good as the Monster cables sold at those places for a tiny fraction of their costs. These cables transmit digital data so it really doesn't matter how thick they are as long as the wires transmit the digital data correctly. The StarTech cable I purchased from Amazon is performing flawlessly with my 1080p HD LCD TV.

  I ordered this cable to hook up my LG 1080p LCD TV up to the digital cable. Cable worked fine for a couple of weeks and then just stopped working. There was no damage done to the cable. I hooked up another cable and it worked fine, confirming the problem was with the cable, not the TV or box. Not worth the money to ship back so now I'm out $15 and have a useless cable. Thanks.

  I am a consumer who was initially dooped into paying a "monster" price for my first set of HDMI Cables. Big mistake. A TV relocate required longer HDMI cables. After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase 2 15ft cables from Amazon/Startech. I should have checked Amazon first!
  
  Wow! There is absolutely no perceavable difference in image quality between the old cables and the new less expense cables. Absolutely a fantastic buy! And superfast delivery to boot!

  I did a little research before paying the big retailer $50 for a 6 foot cable. I needed two HDMI cables to be long enough to snake in the wall and not be seen with my new wall mounted LCD television. These worked perfectly. From what I have read, HDMI transfers digital data, so all the expensive gimics like gold connectors aren't really needed. Either the data is getting there or it is not. My PS 3 is sending perfect 1080p signals and my HD Tivo is sending perfect 1080i signals (that is what HD cable broadcasts). Why pay more for?? No problems from the seller either. Fast shipping.

  No complaints so far! Very glad I didn't spend tons of money on name brand cables. The cable works great and because its digital, there is no video quality difference between this cable and a two hundred dollar cable. I'm using this cable to connect my blu-ray player to my HD home theater projector and it looks amazing.

  Your choice- a cheaply priced, off-brand cord that works great (this one), or one that costs 10x as much and works no better.
