  This is exactly what I was looking for. Ignore the other reviews. They look like they were posted by children who don't know what they're talking about. I bought my PSP in Japan almost a year ago in the standard value pack so it came with one of these pouches. My wife got hers from China, and it came with a game instead of a pouch, so we hunted high and low in the U.S. for a store that carried the pouch and none did because they all wrongly assume that everyone in the world bought theirs in the U.S. and got a pouch.
  
  The reviewer who complained that the pouch doesn't "secure" the PSP doens't know what he's talking about. It's not supposed to secure the machine, it's just supposed to protect it. The inside is nice and soft and does a great job of keeping the screen clean. A number of people where I work have PSPs and shelled out big bucks for huge, bulky hard plastic screen protectors. But whenever I bring my machine to work they still always comment on how clean and perfect my screen looks compared to theirs even though I use my PSP daily, it's six months older than theirs, and I only use the Sony pouch.
  
  And I don't know what that guy was talking about who thought the case might prevent overheating. No case will do that, and why should it? The PSP doesn't overheat. This isn't some souped-up homebrew PC clone. It's a handheld game machine. That's like saying that the folders I keep my magazines in don't do a very good job of keeping them from overheating. It makes no sense.

  Simple case , nothing fancy. It's a padded sleeve from which you can effortlessly extract the PSP. It really doesn't add any bulk to the unit. I put it in my coat packet and it really doesn't add any bulk. The strap is very secure and will not break. When using my PSP I always wrap the strap around my wrists to prevent dropping it. The strap is very important so do not dimiss it as just a tacked on addon. IMO there is no point to a good case without a good strap.

  I bought a psp slim and this was the only case that fit it. Its really nice for carrying arround in your pocket and gives enough security for just carrying it around. hopefully someone like logitech makes a new case for the slim, but for now this one is great.
  
  

• Perfect for someone who doesnt like protective filters for their screens

  I love this pouch. I dont care for the big bulky cases such as the Sony or Logitech cases. I actually got a slim case for mine (check my other reviews since it wont let me insert the product link), and it fits perfectly inside this case. It leaves room for the strap that also comes with it to be hooked to the PSP. I dont actually use it since I think it's a little fruity. The pouch is soft and padded. If you just want to keep your screen from getting scratched up without having to worry about screen covers, this is perfect for you.
  
  If you are afraid that you might bump hard into something with your screen or something might fall on your screen..then this might not be for you. Yes it's padded, but it's not THAT padded. It's still succeptible to damage if hit hard. Also it's not 100% safe from flying out of the pouch. There is no little strap to button or zipper to zip to keep it in. It does stay in pretty darn well though as long as you don't go spinnin the thing around like its the Gravitron at the carnival.
  
  Also the only gripe I really have for it is that I dont think the price is right for this. I think it's a TAD bit much. I think it should be more around 10 dollars or even 12. Not 15 bucks. At least it's cheaper than 20 dollars now though.
  
  
  
  

• Decent Pouch

  I choose a soft pouch over the hard cases for two reasons, bulk, and to have something to wipe the screen with. It makes good on both of these and it is an effective case for protection against scratches and minor drops. The wrist strap is a good and a bad, its white, flashy, and attracts attention. It's also WAY too big, bigger than your PSP, who wants to swing around their PSP? It also can get in the way easily. But most importantly, it can prevents falls.
  
  I don't see why it says how 'fun' this pouch is in the star ranking. The pouch itself is not fun, sorry.

  This PSP accessory is horrible! It doesn't even secure your PSP, and you don't want to risk the chance of your PSP falling out and getting broken, do you? There is one good thing though, about the case, is that you will not have to worry about your screen getting scratched, because it is very soft. Take my review into consideration.
  
  
  
• Good for the careful PSP owner

  For some reason, I was under the impression that the pouch had a zipper to secure the PSP when in the pouch.
  
  NB: There is no zipper.
  
  The PSP fits snugly into the pouch and it's up to you to make sure that you don't carry it open-end-down and end up turning your PSP into a brick. I have tried holding it as such and my slim PSP doesn't slide out, so you'll probably not have to worry about it slipping out if you own a fat one.
  
  I have a silver pouch from Japan, so I'm assuming that the only difference with the one sold from Amazon is the colour. The wrist strap hangs out of the pouch when the PSP is secured. The strap is a tad long and I found it to be not very useful as I wouldn't want my PSP swinging from my wrist, or any other extremity for that matter.
  
  The material is very soft and does not scratch the screen. It sort of doubles as something to wipe the screen (I squeeze the pouch a little bit on removal and insertion of the PSP to give the screen a nice, soft wipe before and after use).
  
  I found that if you are charging the PSP, you can insert the wrist strap end into the pouch and have the power cable end on the outside. Storage and charging in one!

  $20!!!! No way dont buy this. The case is nice , the wrist band I think is writhless. But still $20 is a rip. mabey $10 or $15. You can buy a nicer one for $5 or $10.

  Not much else to say about this product, other than it does what it is designed to do. Fits the PSP perfectly and protects it pretty well for a sleeve type protector. I mainly use this just to store my PSP in it when I am not using it. The product is made well.

  I didn't actually purchase one of these, but if the image is right, its the exact same one that comes with the PSP. Why you'd want another one I don't know. It is a good product though. Extremely soft and holds the PSP very securely. I did have a little trouble setting my PSP in the case with the strap attached. Not a problem for me since that strap just gets in the way tho.

  This item is not a game, but used for the PSP system. This is somewhat of a good deal, but I would not pay more than $12 for it. The wrist strap is rarely used by PSP gamers, but I happen to be one who does like to use it. I bought this item off of Amazon. The black case should be used for headphones, or UMD's, It is not very good for PSP storage, but it will protect it if you have to carry briefly in a side pocket of your jacket.
  
  This item is representative of the items missing from the core packet. You can also pick up official Sony headphones from this site too, also included in the PSP Value packet, and missing from the core packet.

• a bit redundant

  I got the psp "value pack" - the only psp available in my local store in NYC - and it already came with the soft case and strap offered in this item. I know because I bought this item the same day - not realising I already had it in the psp box.
  
  That said, the wrist strap is kinda kewl to look at but I got annoyed with it pretty quickly. The psp is just too big to go swinging it around on one's wrist - then again, if you have a tendency to drop things, it might come in handy some day. the soft case stays on nicely and keeps the screen protected from dust. the cover also stays on when the psp is suspended from the wrist strap. One problem is the strap is hard to get off the system once it's attached (a pair of scissors would fix that nicely, but also ruin the strap.)
  
  If you just cant stand the big hard cases on offer for the psp this might be the perfect accessory. Dont pay the full 20 clams for it tho - I didnt pay that much in the store, so I dont understand why it should cost that much online.

  The Pouch is very soft protect the screen against dust and rayons and I always put the wrist strap every time I use it, it can protect a little bit if fall for some inches but not secure just don't prove it!!!! I recommend it. would wish the wrist strap to be black but is ok I have it for my SLIM one and fit very well!!!

  It works for what it is designed to do. The only problem is I wish you could charge it in the case but it's not the cases fault. The part you put the lanyard on is opposite the power plug.

  The pouch is a really good protective device for the PSP much better than a bulky plastic case, no doubt at all, that was the only reason to buy this item because the strap feels really cheap, it only comes in white, and mostly all the PSP on the markett are Piano Black. So if you lose your original PSP carry pouch then this is a good replacement to protect your device.PSP Pouch and Wrist Strap

  Happy to find a game suitable for our ten year old Grandson. Most games are rated for teens or adults. It has turned out to be a great game for him. Glad to have made the purchase. Price was under most retail stores. Also purchased the pouch and wrist strap which is a valuable item to own.
  
  
• A Basic PSP Protector

  Slightly over priced, this protector will serve its purpose as a basic holder for the PSP when travelling. It will help prevent scratches and light bumps but don't attempt to throw it around. Would have preferred if the strap is not a stiff leather material as it makes it a hinderance when you're playing on the PSP.
  
  I discarded the strap.
  
  Overall a nice buy if you are gentle with your electronics.

  I ultimately chose a pouch over other cases because no other cases seemed to really be ideal, especially for the PSP Slim. I got a separate UMD holder so really all I needed was for something that protected the PSP itself while traveling. This case certainly does the job well. At first I was disappointed because I somehow thought this had a zipper on it, and it doesn't - it's just a sleeve. However, the PSP Slim fits snugly in the sleeve and doesn't slide out. I had it packed unsecurely in a suitcase on vacation and the unit stayed in the sleeve no problem. Since that's exactly what I needed it to do, I'm pleased with the case. Still would have liked a zipper though.
  
  
• The Perfect PSP Case

  The perfect PSP case, IMO. Well, the "perfect" case...of the ones that are on the market. I would have designed some type of closure on the opening, maybe Velcro? However, that's a minor criticism because the unit fits very snugly into the pouch and will not accidentally slide out. I even attached the wrist strap to the PSP, dangled it around, and the pouch did not budge. But when you are ready to play, this case is fast and easy! (My PSP is the slim silver edition. See my photos above)
  
  This case adds as little bulk as possible while still protecting the unit. It is a soft case. I mostly use my PSP at home and by the pool. In this case it fits easily in my pocket and backpack. For extended traveling or tougher environments you might want a hard shell.
  
  I got mine here at Amazon but I've seen them for less at a couple other video game stores, just FYI. Seventeen dollars here (currently) is a bit spendy for a piece of fabric covered foam LOL. But it's the only option I have found for someone who wants a slim form factor case.
  
  ps. Before getting this case I was keeping my silver PSP in a stocking cap or Smartwool sock. Worked just as well :)

  don't be decieved by the seller. this is not same as the photo. the strap is kinda okay but the pouch looks so crappy. this is totally different from the sony one. be careful.
