Price for one battery makes no sence

This single battery for a 14.4volt Black and Decker drill is listed at $44.95, which is only $4.00 less than the cost of the entire drill kit that contained:
(1) Firewstorm 14.4 volt drill
(2) B&D 14.4 volt batteries
(1) 14.4 battery charger
(1) set of drill bits
(1) case assembly to store all of the above

Battery Magic

I just bought this battery to replace the two original batteries, so I'm really reviewing the originals. They held up for four years with moderate (read "homeowner") use. I think that's exceptional, since I've read that getting just two years out of these batteries is good. Although I've had some trouble with Black & Decker battery chargers, the batteries themselves have performed better than expected. If the one I just bought does as well I'll be thrilled.

The battery arrived fine, but unfortunately, would not hold a charge. I had to have it replaced under warranty.

Need more run time

They should offer these units with NiMH type of batteries. Which has more than twice the run time and can be charged anytime.

I am glad that this product has accessories still available. I have had my B & A drill for several years, and just recently the charger and batteries quit working. I found a replacement charger on a different site, but I know [...] has it also. The replacement battery was priced right, and the shipping was fast. Now my cordless drill works better than before.

I've owned the Firestorm products with this battery pack and found it took years for one to finally die. Good, long pack life.

I have purchased these batteries before, and are pleased with them. They do not last forever, but for the price, they do the job!

Amazon had a great price on this battery, about 1/2 the price of retail. Finally I wore out a battery without having to buy a new drill. Usually the price of the battery is about the same as buying a whole new kit, drill, battery, charger, etc. Goes against the grain to have to replace a perfectly good drill just because the OEM batteries are so expensive. I may just buy another! Shipping was free too!
