Medela Seamless Softcup Nursing Bra - Basic Colorsx
    (11 reviews)
Medela's seamless bra is a very nice nursing bra and one of our best sellers. It provides a smooth, natural line under everyday tee shirts or an elegant blouse. The molded stretch cup made of a cotton/lycra blend features a delicate lacy pattern woven right into the fabric. It is this unique fabric that is key to how the bra comfortably accommodates fluctuating breast size, while maintaining cool comfort and flexibility. The specially designed two-piece cup features a unique one-hand outer cup release that opens easily to breastfeed baby.

Best nursing bra around! By A1BHP5ON65R582 on 2005-07-01
After trying tons of different nursing bras and almost giving up hope of finding something comfortable, supportive and easy to use, I found this bra (and now own 8 of them). As a breastfeeding counselor, I always suggest to moms that they look for something without underwire (can cause plugged ducts for some moms, esp. in the beginning). This bra gives the support without sacrificing shape or comfort. Some comfy nursing bras (Bravado and sleep bras) give you a "uniboob" look-not flattering under close-fitting shirts. This one looks awesome on. This bra is also very forgiving of size changes, as the cups are stretchy to allow for growth (and, later, shrinking). To find the best fit, go to a boutique and let them size you. Then order the right size online. [...]
not supportive for larger sizes By A1NVQF9ASM276J on 2006-01-12
I was looking forward to this being a great nursing bra - I loved the cotton, one-hand closures, and the lack of underwires. It felt and looked great when I tried it on, but after a few hours of wearing, it had the classic problem of riding up in the back. Eventually I gave up wearing it at all. I bought mine in a boutique where I was professionally fitted, so I had the right size (34F). I'd recommend a Bravada bra for larger sizes, they consistently fit great and stay put.
THE BEST BRA EVER! By A2VF5SECXI83BO on 2005-07-20
After reading the previous review, I ordered one on ebay and just got it yesterday. OMG! WOW WOW WOW!
It is NOT worth it to keep on buying your favorite cheap bra, then after 2-3 washes it comes apart, then you buy it again. You just need to buy 1 good bra like this one and it will STAY!
This has SUPPORT with out the annoying wires that get you down when nursing, easy drop down cup, SO SOFT, SO COMFY!
When you put it on you feel GREAT, SO LIGHT WEIGHT and it doesn't make any fat pop out on the sizes.
WOW WOW AND WOW!
Must have nursing bra -- best one out there and worth the price By AWJBO5XGIW8ZS on 2008-03-21
Simply put, this is a great bra. I have to admit, I haven't tried dozens of them, because after a couple early misses, my lactation consultant turned me on to this one, and I have never looked back.
I started of with some cheap bras from Target, thinking a bra is a bra, right? But here's the thing ... especially for moms with newborns, I can't imagine who thinks is was a clever idea to design nursing bras with a big seam that runs right down the center of sore and sensitive nipples! The "seamless" part of the Medela bra is where the brilliance lies.
Also, the fabric is soft, stretchy and comfortable, and works well with a nursing pad or without because the cup has some flexibility. While the plastic clip closures took a few days to get the hang of after using hook and eye closures, I think it is so much easier once I got used to it.
The Medela Seamless also does a good job at not creating pressure points on the breast which can lead to plugged ducts. I had big problems with this with my earlier, cheaper bras, and one case of mastitis I had was directly resulting from a badly designed bra.
The bra is well-structured with a fabric under-frame that goes all the way around, not just on the bottom and outside like some cheaper bras. The cup is thin enough to be comfortable, but thick enough to absorb a bit of milk and to smooth out protruding nursing nipples. Sometimes they seem a bit "bunchy" under tighter shirts when you first put them on fresh from the wash, but if you pull them a little bit taught with your hands, the wrinkles disappear and stay out the rest of the day. You also may want to smooth the inner fabric on the bottom for a more comfortable fit as it can curl up a little bit.
The best part is the durability. I used these for about 16 months with my first daughter, and then pulled them right back out with my second and haven't even been tempted to buy new ones. I own three, so that I always have one at the ready. I wash them with my regular clothes, at regular temperature and put them in the dryer, and have never had a problem. They clean up well, and don't look gross or stained because the cup has multiple layers. I do wash them in a lingerie bag to keep that straps from getting tangled and stretched on other clothes, and to keep the hooks on the back closure from getting mangled.
They do come in white, nude and black in many sizes, although I only own white, and that's always been fine. The pattern is cute, not super sexy, but not ugly and matronly either. Even if you buy them online, I strongly recommend getting sized (if you are still pregnant, do it in your eighth month) at a boutique specializing in bras if there is one near you, as wrong-sized nursing bras are often not returnable due to health codes.
I have absolutely no reservation about recommending this wonderful bra. I generally rely on Medela as a go-to company for quality products, and this bra is no exception.
My Favorite! By A2PGJ6XD5T5300 on 2006-06-26
I have tried MANY nursing bras. This one is the ONLY ONE for me. I am a size 36C, and it gives great support. It gives plenty of room for when your bbs are at their fullest. Prone to clogged milk ducts, and having had no luck with other bras, I was hesitant to waste my money again. This bra has given me no problems whatsoever. It's like the miracle helper that no one tells you about. Don't wait, GET IT!!!
- Like the Bravado better
     By A1BB4AJPBI4CEQ on 2007-05-07
I bought this bra and the Bravado plus. I perfer the bravado plus as it has more coverage and is more comfortable to wear. I'm a 40C (and yes I have been professionally fit) and felt this bra provided adequate cup support but it bunches up and creates the dreaded "back fat". The fabric is soft and it is of good quality construction. I would advise buying several nursing bra until you find your favorite.
- Great Bra
     By A1CUVFQMSQBCJ4 on 2007-09-03
I wear these and the Bravado bras for nursing. This is a great bra - it washes well and has help up well. The hooks are very easy to get off which is key for a hungry baby. It's also comfortable and has enough support through the straps and back latch. It's not an under-wire, but those aren't the best - esp. for mom's in their first 3-4 mos of breastfeeding. If you are a new nursing mom and trying to pick a bra - this is a good bet.
- Overall a good bra
     By A1HT2KBEKR1OYC on 2008-06-06
Overall this is a good bra, but I find that after wearing it most of the day the strap adjusters slip and my breasts begin to sag. I own the underwire version and prefer it as far as support. Straps aside, it is very comfortable. I have slept in it and I had no issues. I own it in nude and my nursing pads do not show through my shirts. The cup material is stretchy and they fit well both before and after a nursing session.(No third boob, YEA!) Cups are easy to unhook with one hand, but I needed two hands to hook the cups back until I got the hang of it. I plan on ordering a few more of both this bra and the Medela Underwire Seamless bra.
- The support is good but this was itchy and irritated me
     By A2RMD12V8QKV1E on 2007-10-01
From the mom: I bought this at the maternity bouitque of my hospital. I got fitted. It looked great. The next day I wore it at work (I am in my 3rd trimester) and the inside seams were so itchy that I just counted the minutes until I could go home and take it off. got stuck with a useless 37 dollar bra. I do not recommend this product
