Rated Power Too Low! By A1MQQEM7W77L62 on 2005-12-27
This is the kind of power rating (2200 mah) that would be pretty good for a AA battery, but way to low for a D cell. At all-battery.com you get two 9000 mah batteries for 12.99. Rayovac is a good old name, and these aren't bad batteries. But, you'll get longer use with a higher rated battery.
2200 mAh is very low for D cell By AI6WI29UYVVR4 on 2006-01-01
for that power rating I would rather use AA cells rated higher with some old snap in D cell converters I have from an old NiCad set.
2200 is very low for a d-cell
These are AA batteries in a D sized case By A3I0JZ6ESA5361 on 2006-02-11
Don't get fooled like I did. It turns out that a real D NiMH cell should store 7500-10000 mAh.
Very low power. By A3NG6EEA7OFNRO on 2006-01-19
The AA that you can get have a mah rating of 2500. The D battery should have at least 3 times that much. These are old and while they may be good batteries, they won't give you power very long.
Not good for boom boxes By A2CZ0KS8G33TKS on 2006-01-13
I bought these batteries to use with my Sirius boombox and they will power the unit for only about an hour or so before the unit shuts off.
- Don't Be Fooled
     By AWFBP49IVMK4X on 2006-09-08
This is a AA battery in a D size case. It will last less than half the time of a "real" D size NiMH cell. The power available from a battery is indicated by the mAH rating, with more being better. The price of this item looks good until you realize you are paying for a D cell and getting AA performance.
- 2200 mAh
     By A3TPBI1ODHC16N on 2005-12-11
Here is the missing important info, these batteries are 2200 mAh. That will give you plenty stored power, 2200 mAh is great!
- BabyToys
     By A37VF4MNTSE1T5 on 2006-06-11
The batteries were packed well and received quickly.
These are great to use on baby toys (as well as your big kid toys)... just buy an extra set so you can always have a set charging while the other is in the toy.
The only reason I mention that is because the batteries do run down kind of quickly, and take up to 8 hours to fully charge.
But I'm not complaining... while there is an initial investment, think of the money you'll save on buying new batteries all the time. And you'll be doing a small part for the environment by not throwing out batteries all the time.
- You Get What You Pay For
     By A9CWZQEXS5DGP on 2007-03-11
These batteries only lasted in the baby's swing for 2 days. I bought some good rechargeables that last a couple of weeks at a time and use these only to hold me over while the good ones are charging.
