  This is a great blanket! The back is a water-resistant material so you don't get wet when sitting on damp grass. The top is a soft cotton type material. The blanket is lightly padded to keep you comfortable from hard ground and small pebbles. It's machine washable. It folds up easily to fit back in the matching tote bag that it comes packed in. It's large enough to hold two adults, a baby and all of the baby's play things. I'm so glad I purchased this and I look forward to many years of use.

  This is an excellent purchase! I was given one as a gift and took it to an outdoor concert with my husband and newborn and our friends who have toddlers loved it so much we bought them one for a holiday gift. It is terrific because the grass does not stick to it so you can shake it off and the backside is water resistant for that recently watered grass that everyone hates to put blankets on! Funny thing is, even wet grass does not stick to it that much! I love how I can fold it up into a carrying case and put sunscreen, etc into the side pocket. It also washes perfectly! I will be giving this as a gift for every new family!

  There are so many new and practical baby items today. I have been looking for a water resistant blanket to take my daughter to the park and beach. I had been using an old blanket around the house and it wasn't holding up well. After seeing this product on-line I was ready to buy it. Then I went to Target, and guess what? They had the same idea (not the exact same blanket) for $15. It zips up into a bag, too. I would have loved to have had the Hawaiian print instead, but for the price difference I'm happy with what I got at Target.

  I bought this thinking like the rest of you - yay! A waterproof blanket. Just what I was looking for me and my two year old. But, this past week we had an Easter Egg hunt...unfortunately it rained off and on that morning, so the grass was wet. When we sat down on the blanket, our behinds got all wet. I was VERY disappointed on this $40 dollar purchase!!

  Got it and loved it!!!!
  Must have, you can keep it in the car, in the stroller and use it wherever you go.

  After visiting with 2 other mommies that had Tuffos, I decided to purchase one for our burgeoning family---Supercool! Lightweight, waterproof, many choices with pattern, love the carry strap thing. Kind of wish the straps were part of the blanket itself, but I understand that it would compromise the waterproof backing. Be careful when pulling off the mfc tag, can tear the stiches!

  I got one of these Tuffo blankets as a gift and I can't believe how much I love it. It is so practical and looks great too! I use it all the time. It's the largest outdoor blanket I've seen out there, the waterproof backing is the best for damp grass at the park and the sand doesn't stick to it at the beach. The carrying bag is super for carrying waterbottles or my keys and even after washing it many times after soccer games, etc it still looks great. It's perfect for younger kids at parks, older kids at games and the whole family having a picnic or at the beach. It's my new 'must-have' product. All my friends are getting them as gifts!!!!

  the colors are great, the water-proof back was tested at an outdoor music theater just hours after the rain had stopped that night, and the soft cotton top stayed dry! It was much larger than originally thought it would be (which is outstanding). And so easy to carry! It has two pockets on the outside holder, perfect for our daughter's milk sippy cup and a bottle of wine for us! we were the envy of all of our friends with older cotton-only blankets...

  This blanket is HUGE in size, which accomodates our family of 3 and several friends' kids without crowding. It's made of very durable material so I know we'll get lots of use out of it. I also love the carry pouch that easily stores the blanket keeping it organized so we can just tuck it in a corner of our vehicle and it's not in the way. All in all, this is a great buy and I highly recommend it if you have an active, outdoors family like I do!!

  i was disappointed with the size and the thickness, especially considering the price. the size is rectangle shaped so it doesn't fit well under the playyard and it is too thin so you can feel every little pebble or twig underneath it.
  
  
• Cheap fabric and annoying carrying sling

  I've bought $20 blankets at Target that kick this one to the curb. The fabric is cheap and it is not very travel friendly (the case is really a sling and cumbersome to carry). Save your cash and buy one of the emergency blankets at Target/ K-Mart that zip up nicely and are water resistant as well.

  The size is perfect for a lot of kids and adults. but it's not sturdy. I could feel the bumps on the grass & sand. Not very comfortable. and the hem is getting undone. I have to re-sew it.

  I looked at several different water resistant blankets before going with this one. It's a little more expensive than most, but is durable, machine washable, and large in size. We have used it at the park, the beach and even in our backyard! I do wish it could fold up a little smaller.

  I LOVE this blanket. It is great for the beach and park. The colors are awesome. Best thing about this blanket is it's HUGE! I mean my husband, 2 kids and I can fit comfortably on it. I only gave it 4 stars because it's a pain to fold it up perfectly so that it fits back into the bag. Other than that it's a GREAT investment!

  My wife and I went to beach last weekend. We used this blanket there. This blanket is perfect for two people on grass or beach.

  My wife and I bought this blanket for picnics in Central Park. It works very well for that. The "up" side is fairly comfortable although I think it sacrifices a little plushness for ruggedness. The "down" side is a nylon-type material that is water resistant.
  
  It all folds up into a carrying case. I guess if I had to ask for something, I would ask for it to fold down into a smaller package for portability, but it works fine.
  
  We actually used this for warmth on night camping when it got a little cooler than expected. Worked well!

  This blanket really protects against wet ground and is a great size for two adults and a kid. The padding is pretty thin but provide some comfort against rocks and roots. Too much more padding would make it bulkier to carry. Also, some of the threading along the trim is already coming out. It is a bit akward to put back into its bag but for the cost, I'm completely satisfied and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to spend a ton.

  Other people were not exaggerating when they said this blanket was too thin. It was ok for use on the grass, but it really could be padded more for a cushier picnic. Also, for how thin it is, I was surprised at how big it is supposed to be folded into the storage bag. I actually folded it smaller so it would fit easier into my car for storage and just have the straps that hold it together hanging from the bag. I'm going to cut the straps and pin or stitch them together because the bag really is too big and not practical. Besides these two issues, I am happy with the purchase and would buy it again and/or recommend it. It was a good purchase for the price and size of the blanket.

• Slip and fall hazard

  Took this out and layed it on the carpeted living room floor to test it. My 1 yr old took one step and her foot shot forward so fast she landed on the back of her head. Thank goodness we were on the soft floor. The top padded cloth portion of this blanket is not connected to the bottom water resistant portion except on the sides. This means the top slips and slides with the slightest touch over the bottom. And it slides fast! Not safe for small children, as they usually step on blankets before sitting down. My 4 yr old slipped, but didn't fall down. Why chance it? Took it outside to see if being on grass made any difference, but no. It still slipped all over the place, therefore also causing the blanket to not stay flat if you plan to move at all while you are on it. I don't know why other reviewers like this blanket so much. Mine's going back. Too dangerous.

  This blanket is easy to fold in the carry pouch. I recommend washing it first because it is not soft when you first get it. I do NOT recommend for hills - the nylon bottom will act as a bobsled on anything other than a flat surface. Stitching is strong and the colors didn't fade at all when I washed it.

  My girlfriend had this blanket in the blue daisy and I loved it so I bought the multi striped one. For an end of year gift for the soccer coach we bought her the hawaiian printed one. It's big enough for a family of 5 or 6-8 kids. It's colorful, easy to carry, and washes great. This is a wonderful gift idea for someone that goes to picnics or sporting events. It's a must have!!

  This is a good blanket. I haven't really put the water resistant quality to the test, but in a mild dew it seems to work. I think it is just a layer of tightly woven polyester. No hi-tech Gor-tex here. I wish they built more padding into the blanket itself. It looks so comfy in all the photos, but when I received it, it feels paper thin. It was pretty cheap so I guess you get what you pay for?

  I have had this blanket for years and I love it. We just went to Jazz Fest in New Orleans where it was muddy and the blanket saved us. If you go to the park or like outdoor concerts this blanket is great! It washes really easily in the laundry machine and is durable.

  We use this blanket out on the deck and on picnics with our 10mo. old twins. It is great when the ground is wet because of the waterproof backing. It's not quite as thick as I was hoping for, but it folds up great and I can carry it over my shoulder like a bag.

  Wonderful blanket! Blanket is heavy duty and folds very easily! I used this blanket for a class picnic with my students! This blanket fit 6 students and 1 adult...very strong and sturdy! I love the blanket and am thinking about buying a another one but different color!
