• Disappointing cheap quality

  My wife has been looking for one of these for a while so when it showed up on The Friday Sale she bought it for about $23.
  
  Two of the glasses were cracked on arrival and all the parts reak of cheapness. The cooler area for food is incredibly small and is likely to crush whatever food you put in there. The pocket is located between your back and all of the picnic stuff, so your actually squeezing your food any time you wear it.
  
  And worst of all, the straps are the worst design I have ever worn. The design of the attachment of the top of the straps to the bag is so backwards it actually hurts to carry it with any weight. And the straps are so short, only a child or small woman can easily get their arms through the openings. So any normal sized person is putting so much pressure on the food pocket that it crushes everything.
  
  I like the detachable insulated wine bag so I give it a 2 instead of a zero.

  This is a nice little backpack that does everything it says. It's not the best designed backpack, the straps are too small and awkwardly shaped. The pack design does not match what's pictured, it's more square-ish. However, all that aside, for the price, this is perfect. It's fully functional, has everything you need, and makes a fun gift. No, it's not equivalent to the $90 bags of similar style found at high end stores. The napkins are worthless. But as a basic picnic backpack, you just can't beat this one for the price!

  This backpack is perfect. I bought one as a gift for my sister, and liked it so much, I had to get another for myself. The quality is great and the price is outstanding. I highly recommend it!!

  Charming picnic set and quite practical. I bought it for a gift so I was a little disappointed in the plastic of the plates and the tiny, rough feeling napkins. Was not quite as elegant as the photo appeared. Excellent value for $24.

  The actual backpack was different from the photo and its description. It was missing the extra handle on top of the backpack that could be used as an alternate way to carry it. The salt and pepper shakers were chipped. I haven't used it yet, but it seems like it will be awkward to use with a bottle of wine in it as the weight is not equally distributed on both sides. Overall, somewhat disappointed so I am glad I got it on sale.
  
  
• Bought this as a wedding gift...

  and also for my wife. Perfect. Wedding couple says they loved it. Has everything you would want: - wine glasses, cutting board, knife, corkscrew, plates, and all the utensils you could want. Love it. It's my new default wedding/birthday gift for young couples...well, as long as the price doesn't go up.

• Great idea, design flaws

  I really have to say, it's a great idea, but with a couple of design flaws. The wine "glasses" had two chipped - so I will have to return it - but it's more cost efficient to go to the party place and get more. The price is so cheap, it's not an issue, but it IS an annoyance. The rest is true, the food should be on the outside, not the inside, it can and will if stuffed - get crushed. The wine is only one sided, so it can be awkward. In all, this is less than the cost of a couple of movie tickets, why complain?

  I purchased this product as a birthday gift for my fiance. Overall, I would rate this as a good product. The bag is well made and held up to the two of us as well as our three dogs picnic-ing. The plastic glasses are a little cheaply made and one was cracked when I received the backpack. Replace the napkins that come with the backpack with some of your own.

  This picnic backpack was literally almost as good as others that were several times the price. One that was only slightly nicer was $99.00.

  I bought this as a gift for my husband's best friend and his wife. I didn't open it prior to giving it to them. When they opened it and went thru all of the stuff thats in the pack I sat there kicking myself because I should have bought one for us too.

  The bag itself is nice and has everything velroed in nice and compactly. The glasses seem a little flimsy (one was broken already when I first got this item shipped to me, but Amazon replaced it right away). The only thing I'm not yet sure of is where I'll put the food!

  This particular item looks cute enough, but if you look closely at the attached tag you will see that the bottom states "contains items that have been known to cause cancer/birth defects". Not a pretty warning for dishware.

  I purchased this item for my wife. We like to day hike and thought this would be a perfect carrier for a light lunch, cheese, wine. The problem is that after only a few uses, the zipper on the backpack jammed. The wine "glasses" are made of cheap lightweight plastic. This backpack is cute but not functional.

  Not bad for an inexpensive pack. I only expect a couple of years out of it (I use it at least once a week) and that is about the quality I got. Servicable and inexpensive, just what I expected.

  I was so disappointed when the backpack arrived. The poor quality is not evident in the picture. The napkins are cheaply made, the plastic glasses are ugly and the breadboard is like scrap wood. I believe this was the first item I've ever returned to Amazon and I'm a frequent shopper.

  I'd say it was an ok value for the $20 sale, but no way would it be worth the sticker price that they optimistically attached on a tag to the backpack and what was listed on Amazon as normal price.
  
  Beware that the picture makes the kit look higher quality than it is. The backpack construction is pretty good - fabric is lighter weight and thinner than I'd prefer, but stitching, etc. are well done. The plates, glasses utinsils, etc., well... let's just say you won't mind if one gets broken or lost, and can replace it with a high end disposable plate, or something from the dollar store. They are plastic and reminiscent of kid's play sets. As a positive, because of all the plastic and light construction, it is in fact quite light which is nice when doing more than carrying from the car. Be real though - how many times would you actually hike and carry something like this vs. much more space/weight efficient trail food.
  
  I'd be mad if I got this after paying $75. After paying $20 though, I'm happy with the purchase and mostly amused by it's cheapness.

  The bag is very well put together. The storage space, or "cooler" area is a bit small and you can't fit much more than a few sandwiches in it. If you are not going far, you can fill up the other section with your stuff. The utensils are universal and will last if you take care of them. This bag really gets the job done, and for $20, you can't find a better deal out there.
