  • Serves its purpose

    By A3TPHWX6JOMS9H on 2007-02-06
I needed a beach blanket, and I wanted a large one. I keep the blanket in my daughter's stroller so that we can have impromptu picnics at the park, beach, and play ground. It works. This blanket serves its purpose with an added bonus - it fits into its own pocket, so no folding is needed. The blanket is easily washable, and its very light weight. This convience comes at a cost, comfort. Because the blanket is so lightweight and compact it does not have any padding. Thus it feels even less substantial then a bed sheet. Which, would be a cheaper and possibly a more comfortable alternative. I actually received the blanket at a super discount (only 7.00 versus 30.00), and I have to say I feel that it is worth the price I paid for it, but I would not pay 30.00 for it.

  • Could be better...

I bought this beach blanket to take to Florida on our last family beach vacation. I was so excited about this product but was a little disappointed. The size is okay (for a few people), but the pockets that can be filled with sand to make sure it doesn't blow away, are kind of silly. What is the point of putting sand on the blanket to hold it down when the whole point is to keep sand off of the blanket? The downside is that if you don't use something to hold the blanket down it will blow away because the material is quite lightweight. We tried to use our beach bags, towels etc, but it didn't really work. When one of the bags moved, the entire blanket wanted to fly away. We ordered this product a few days before we left so we weren't aware that we needed to bring something else with us to use as anchors. But, if you could find something that didn't have to be moved, it would work a lot better.

I loved how it folded up and was very compact. Also, the material was thin so you don't get too hot laying on it, and it does clean off very easily when sand or water gets on it.

Overall, it worked fine and there wasn't anything wrong with it, but it just wasn't what I had in mind.

  • Great Beach Blanket

There are no complaints about this product. It does exactly what it was described to do. The blanket is pretty large and can accommodate two people rather well (it could probably do three or four). The sand is easy to clean off and the towel dries fast. The towel is also very comfortable to lay on.

  • Great for travellers

If your traveling to a beach area by plane, you don't want to take a bulky traditional beach blanket and hotel bath towels are either not allowed or too small for use on the beach. The ParaSheet is perfect. It takes up very little space in a backpack and cleans up in an instant. The corners have flaps that can be held down with sand, rocks, or even footwear. It makes a nice combination with the McNett microfiber travel towel for a compact beach set. While traveling around Nova Scotia and PEI, I kept both in my backpack for impromptu beach or picnic sessions. It worked out great.

  • Perfect For The Beach

We purchased this right before we left for our Christmas vacation. I was a little concerned about one review that states that the pouches were not adequate, good thing that was not true, we put up with high winds (thats the islands for you) for an entire week and not once had a problem. We loved the ease of packing and unpacking the blanket and how it never got to hot while laying on it. My favorite aspect of the blanket though is how easy it was to clean and remove sand, this is especially true when you have a 2 year old. We recommend this blanket for anyone that is looking for a easy to use, compact, versatile beach blanket. My only concern would be if there was a fourth person, but then I guess we would just have to buy another one.
