  This is a very fun game requiring a bit of thinking along with a small amount of luck. The small board size practically ensures that alliances will be fluid and without combat it is next to impossible to win the game. You never feel like you have enough resources to buy a killer army to take out your opponents, plus the way resources are gathered works well. Only the 3 smaller, less combat ready units can actually mine the resources, the tougher 3 units excel at combat and have more powerful special abilities, but cannot mine the resources. Add to this mix the random maps revealed as you explore them and the central hex which gives resource cards and you have a game which works well and can be played in a very short period of time, the games I played ran about 50 minutes for the first one (where we had to learn the rules) and about 40 minutes for game number two. I am very pleased with this game and the online price!

  Nexus ops is a game that has proven itself over and over again in our house and gaming group as beign a game that is easy for the whole group to get into and learn in a comfortable amnmount of time. If you are looking for a game that is a good step up from Risk and does not take years to play look no further. Nexus ops will full fill that niche you have been looking to fill. Great game.
