  • Suitable for DVDs not easily expandable/organizable

    By A11VE57S981395 on 2005-08-28
This case is great for dvd's. It is easy to slip the covers (fold in half) into the slot. Also, holds 2 disks, which makes it convenient for the dvd extras disk. Unfortunately, it is the prosleeve style, which makes it difficult to move around the sheets. I have decided to order more and just type a titles and volume page to more easily locate the dvd's in each case.

  • DVD Space Saver

    By A2UTNU5YER5AI1 on 2006-08-13
I really love the space savings of this storage system, although the 140 disc capacity can be misleading. The 140 capacity includes 16 slots on the inside surface of the cover (billed for 'easy access' to favorite discs, but also handy for storing a multi-disc set or two). Each of the 31 pages of Pro-sleeve storage has two storage pockets on one side (easily holding a DVD case insert or 2, or with folding, a DVD box liner). On the other side of each page, there are 4 slots to store discs. The design works well for keeping a DVD and bonus disc together with its package insert on each half page, with capacity for 62 DVD 2-disc sets using this arrangement.
The soft rubbery material of the pages hold the discs snugly. The two slots on each half-page are of different depths, with one covering most of the disc's surface and the other covering about half. The shallower pockets allow some of the disc label to show, making it easier to see which disc is in which pocket.
The binder system allows individual pages to be removed and re-inserted, but the design makes the process cumbersome. Plastic straps pass through two slots in each page and lock into the binder. Removal or insertion of a page involves unlocking the system (unsnapping a heavy snap - a potential breakdown area with repeated use) and withdrawing the straps from all of the pages between the lock and the desired page, then reinserting the straps through all of the other pages before locking the system again. Extra pages are available for purchase in sets of 10, making it a little easier to re-organize contents. Even though I have packed some of the pockets with layers of inserts, there seems to be room for several more pages in each case.
An older version of this case had a space in the handle for a label (allowing multiple storage cases to be marked for range of contents, for example), but the current ones do not.
All in all, the system allows for compression of DVDs and packaging in about one fifth of the space.

  • This product poorly/inaccurately described!!

    By ALYG9ISSEWAHL on 2006-04-10
Having bought this I am disappointed to say that IT IS NOT 3 RING. It has the 2 straps as shown in the photo. It is not "a snap" to add pages and alphabetize your collection. I would buy another for the rest of our collection if it wasn't for that. Adding and removing pages is a HUGE hassle. Given it's size I like the carrying handle and the slots in the inside front cover for putting away discs quickly if you or more likely a lazy child does not want to search through the pages to put it back into its correct slot. Because of the zip closure you can also keep booklets that will not fit in the sleeves, in the binder without them falling out.

  • Great Storage Poor Operation

    By AE4LM372FHW32 on 2006-10-15
We collect a lot of DVD's! I was quite excited to file them in this system. We have a smaller version that DOES have the three rings. Huge mistake in changing that. It is extremely difficult to file in DVD's in this storage system (the smaller one is great). Also, to ensure the movie is protected we like to place the whole sleeve on top of the player and then refile after viewing. Can't do that with this system. Buy the pages individually and put them in your own three ring binder.

  • This is a good case for DVD collections

    By AZL2YLQ4SI57S on 2006-06-05
This is the best I have found for DVD collections. If your disk collection is starting to look like a video store, then this is the way to go. You keep the cover image for browsing and can put the bonus disk in (or you know that little picture insert you often see inside the case? well now you can use it. One thing to keep in mind is that thought it does hold 140 dvds, it is by pairs (film and 1 bonus) So it will hold about 70 movies (and if you have a lord of the rings box it will take a full page of four disks so it counts like 2 movies. Plus if you have tv episodes, this will widdle things down further). All in all it is great to recycle of all those cases (or through them in storage to use for lending disks or for when you burn your home movies etc. and need to keep them somewhere).

It is a good system, but the binder set up needs some work, I think the classic 3 ring metal is better. The pro sleeves are good, but be careful of when you pull them out next to the zipper! Besides that the little flap at the top of the sleeve entrance seems to get in the way and bent. Also though this is marketed as expandable in some places, I really do not see how more would fit. Once it is full of disks I do not think that you could squeeze much more in. And for the price of extra sleeves, by the time you by three packs of 10 you have paid for this whole book of 35 pages and a case.

Lastly if you want to make a table of contents there is good software out there for cataloging and printing a coffee table like book. I use DVD profiler by Intervocative software, there new beta is amazing. You can make notes on the list of where (which book) it is in easily, I have 5 now. (But hey it is my business...)

  • Would be a 5 if the holding system was better
    By ALYG9ISSEWAHL on 2006-11-01
I like this binder. It's great for organizing all our DVDs and it cuts down on the amount of space taken up by my kids' DVDs. I generaly get two DVD titles per sheet and have fitted many more refill sheets into the binder. My main problem with it is once organized (mine are in alphabetical order)it is difficult to reorganize because of the annoying straps as described by others below. I much prefer the 3 ring binder format, which I have in the smaller, single title per sheet binder.
The Amazon descriptions are very misleading because in some of the large double sheet binders, they show both the straps and 3 rings so you don't know what you'll be getting.

  • DVD Wallet is a great idea
    By A36W14MKZMVCML on 2007-10-17
Choosing a DVD to view used to be a hassel - crouching down to view DVD cases in a storage cabinet then sorting through the titles in various fonts and graphics to make choices. Invariably, my beloved spouse would nix the ones chosen, so back to the fetal postion to replace the DVDs alphabetically...
The CASE LOGIC DVD WALLET is a dream come true! After some time with a scissors to trim some of the jackets to enable a good fit in the jacket holder, I now have an organized collection which enables a quick perusal of all the choices. Be aware that each page only has two jacket holders, but space for four DVDs. If you wish to keep the jackets, plan on a capacity of 70 DVDs.

  • Wish it was like the old style-this one's terrible
    By ALNJ5EQCJVABY on 2006-11-04
I have two previous versions of Case Logic large capacity DVD wallets. This new one is almost twice as big with only a very slightly larger capacity, plus the zipper gets stuck in the folds and is hard to get out. There's just no reason for the dramatic increase in size.

Case Logic must have also redesigned the pages because now they're horrible. I cannot keep the discs in to save my life. It also has their new binder system that is extremely inconvenient--you have to go through *all* the pages before the page you're accessing--so if you want to rearrange pages, forget it. I am *so* sorry I bought this book, but there aren't any other options if you have a lot of DVDs.

My advice--find something else. This thing is a joke!

  • Perfectly fits all DVDs in little space
    By A3A2FF0ZF3W5WB on 2007-04-17
I was at first hesitant to buy this because I have shelves full of DVDs, but my sister has one and told me I would fall in love with this case and its true. I bought two. If you want to watch a good movie and dont want to carry 10 DVDs in your hand to show your friends/family, this case is easier, because you just carry this and you have all your DVDs available.

Its heavy, but come on, who said DVDs are light! Its absolutely perfect.
I highly recommend this product to anyone that wants to downsize their walls of DVD...At first its hard to part with the cases, but in the end, if you end up moving, you dont have to box up over 50 boxes, only a big book.It takes little space and is very sturdy. Even has extra space for more DVDs if you have extras to place.

I only bought two cases, but plan on buying more for more movies that I end up buying.

Enjoy your new DVD case, you will love it!

  • Good Product
    By A3QN19MACOIO53 on 2006-03-20
This is a good product. It has a great look with the off-set color stitching and has plenty of room for movies galore.

  • Easy to organize my DVD's
    By A1BPK093ND6TI4 on 2006-07-09
Now I know what DVD's I own. This wallet allowed me to get rid of a lot of clutter. The wallet has the capacity of 140, but the way it is set up only about 50 actual DVD title's are accomodated.

  • Excellent space-saver
    By A27WE8YJF75DZM on 2007-01-03
After moving into a new home, I realized I just didn't have the space anymore to display all my DVDs; I would have had to eat up precious wall space with a separate bookshelf for them. So I bought three of these wallets, and now my entire collection is stowed neatly away on one single shelf, next to the TV. I love it. The wallets are compact and stylish enough to look good in the room, and they allow me to find specific movies easily. They also seem pretty durable. If your collection is getting too big for your living space, this is a great way to go.

  • Good, but a bit big
    By A1NO669XXIR8FM on 2007-05-17
I like that there is space for the booklets and 2 DVDs per booklet. I just didn't anticipate the binder being as physically big as it was. (Guess I should pay attention to the dimension information). So it is a little unwieldly for my preschooler. Otherwise a good organization tool.

  • perfect for DVD's
    By A3BF3BC8OA1IG1 on 2007-07-12
I have bought this earlier and now again since it is very durable and keeps my DVD's very well organised. Only small complaint for the product - 2 DVD's are fully covered and 2 DVD's are 2/3 covered - case logic should change design to cover them fully as well.

  • Great Item
    By A34HMK2F47OYLJ on 2007-07-21
It's a bit "large" and takes up some space on the shelf...looks a bit monsterous, but it is great to have all the DVDs in just a couple of these books.

  • Case Logic Classic DVD Wallet 140 Capacity
    By A3EUCO8JK9CPLQ on 2007-09-17
It's very useful because it has the pockets to put the dvd cover or dvd sheet they provide inside the dvd sometimes. Helps alot when identifying the DVD inside the particular pocket. Without the dvd cover pocket, I would have a hard time finding which DVD Title I was passing through. Very helpful for organizing and collecting!

  • Great case
    By AD33TO9S0QC2W on 2007-12-21
This case was just what I expected. it was well made and very functional. The ability to store both discs of a DVD was a nice touch. I have no complaints other than the zipper being a little difficult to use for the first time. Highly recommended.

  • Awful design, shop elsewhere
    By A3I3KWYO46VDSS on 2008-05-07
I bought this product when my old 3-ring single-DVD cases were unbearably overflowing. I actually bought it for video games, because it's the same thing as DVDs with thicker books, and the books are more relevant. As soon as I unzipped the case after taking it out of the Amazon box I knew this thing was designed by a complete failure. Seriously, anyone involved in the design of this product is likely a major contributor to global warming, human trafficking and whatever other evils you can think of, and needs to be locked away.

First of all, the openings for both DVDs and DVD inserts is on the outer edge of the sleeve, so by flipping a page or two your DVDs and inserts slip out with little effort on almost every page flip. The slots are a little oversized, so there's no friction holding your stuff in place. This flaw alone renders the product completely useless.

'What's inside survives' ... what exactly? A page flip? Not even.

Let's not talk about this two-strap business inside either, what a joke. These flimsy pieces of plastic hold the pages in, and if you want to reorganize them from time to time, well, go screw yourself because it will be a 2 hour long ordeal. And the casing, oh the casing must be the finest, flimsiest cardboard around, certainly tempered to keep your DVDs safe from... well, from ping pong balls and light gusts of wind.

If Amazon has a return policy this will be the first time I'll ever use it. This product is a giant sham, and Case Logic ought to simply fold up shop and call it a day because they can't seem to get anything right within the last few years.

If you're looking for a good binder for your DVDs and find one, please let me know, as I still have my DVDs in the OLD Case Logic binders that had three rings, overflowing... but surviving.

  • Comment on binding system
    By A2JM7BXGYD1K6M on 2008-05-28
I've recently been putting my library in these Case Logic albums, and couldn't recommend them more. Specifically, however, I'd like to address comments below on difficulties with organization.

Yes, you do have to come up with a system by which the DVDs are organized: it is not as simple to rearrange these as it is to rearrange individual DVD cases on a shelf. But it is not as difficult as people might be led to believe from other comments. Yes, you can't open the binder at any point an insert a leaf. But on the other side, but this is a minor sacrifice considering the solidity of the binding mechanism. Especially in that it is very easy to put pages back in (you can easily put them back on the straps 5-8 at a time).

When I first purchased these, I saw comments like below and considered it a sacrifice I would have to make. But now that I have the albums in hand and are using them, it is a trivial sacrifice. It's actually quite easy to insert pages. Don't let those comments scare you off. This a great product.

  • Bangin' DVD storage system
    By A1K31NF81TS0CO on 2006-09-07
Everyone talks about DVD storage, I assume that everyone is talking about DVD movies. But what about those damn PS2 demos we gamers get every month, in our Official Playstation magazines? They don't come with their own DVD case.

I found the best solution is to use one of these portable DVD holders. For one thing, you can carry your demos in one easy to carry package now, great for long trips with the kids!

    Bangin'!

This product is excellent. Keeps all of my DVD's in one, organized space. I would recommend this to others.

  • Best DVD Case/Refills on the market and LEAST EXPENSIVE!
    By A3U4ETBVEN6FL8 on 2007-01-10
After much research I settled on the Case Logic DVD Wallet (140 Capacity) and refill pages to add to the capacity. The price was way less expensive then any others on the market and I am thrilled with the quality and ease of use (it even stands up to my 2 year old's flipping through)...I highly recommend this line for anyone looking to organize and/or save space with their DVD collection.

  • Bigger than I expected...
    By AKY8OUBDLVPN3 on 2007-08-06
Hard to tell from the picture, but this binder is 5 1/2 inches wide at the spine. It still fits on my shelf, fortunately. I am wary of the band-style binding system, it doesn't seem as sturdy as the 3-ring, but no problems so far. The pages are high-quality so even at this price it's half as cheap to buy this binder with 31 pages than to buy the refill pages separately.

  • Great DVD storage case
    By A168ZGT0TNZOYN on 2007-11-10
I bought this case in order to reduce the storage space required for my DVD's. It works great. I literally emptied a couple boxes of DVD's and now they're neatly organized in an easy to use case. The only thing I would have changed is the material of the case...it seems strudy enough, but I would have preferred a nylon material like the CD storage cases are made of. Again, the material works great so far, just a personal preference issue. I'll be buying another one shortly to store all my VHS tapes when I transfer them to DVD's. HTH

  • Nice case, don't buy refills
    By AC01YFC06R55Q on 2007-11-30
This is a nice case. I store all my movies in these.

Don't buy the refill pages, they're way more expensive per page. It's cheaper to buy a whole new case than the same number of loose pages without a case.

  • ok but a little tricky
    By A3R8PJ4QVOGUKJ on 2008-03-31
The wallet works great and sure cut all the clutter that my DVD collection was making. However I just wish that when you wanted to take a page out that you didn't have to take every page that precedes it out too. That can get to be a little bit of a pain. Other than that the wallet is alright and eliminates the need to keep the DVD case.
