• It works great for what it is designed for!

  If you want to blow up low pressure items (toys, beach balls, mattresses, small pools, etc.), this pump works great and VERY fast. It can also be used to deflate these items quickly and completely. However, if you want to pump up bike or car tires or hard balls like basketballs or footballs, look elsewhere. It doesn't have the oompf or the adapter to do those things. Why the previous reviewer thought it worked on bike tires, I can't imagine, since you can see from the picture that it doesn't come with the appropriate adapter. Plus, it is really just a fan, not a compressor. If you need portability, buy the 12V rechargeable one. This one needs 120 VAC current.

  Functionally-
  This thing inflates AND deflates low pressure things (stuff you could blow up with lung effort) in a -snap-. Filled a double- height queen bed in about 4 minutes and deflated it in about the same. This will _not_ pump anything like car/bike tires or basketballs or footballs. Comes with nozzles to adapt to most anything you might find around the pool.
  Acoustically-
  It is incredibly loud. It's most like tipping your vacuum cleaner back and putting your head beside it. Yes, it's that loud. My kids left the room while it was in use.
  Structurally-
  The bearings on it suck eggs. After using it a few times it kind of sounded buzzy and emitted the occasional screech.

  I read the review beore the purchase. I planned to use the unit for pumping up the bicycle. But turned out the adaptor doesn't fit for a bicycle. So it has been sitting in my garage since.

  Great at filling all kinds of inflatables and works very quickly. The only problem is that it is VERY loud.
  
  

• HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - STAY AWAY FROM COLEMAN!

  I purchased a Coleman rechargeable quick pump along with a Coleman inflatable air mattress for use when guests visit. Normally I would only review the product under the relevant Amazon page, but I feel this review is relevant to all Coleman products as it relates to their customer service policies.
  
  After using the Coleman rechargeable pump two times, it died. It won't recharge; it won't even turn-on.
  
  When I called Coleman to ask about warranty information for the pump, they responded with "We don't actually make that pump, we just put our name on it so we can't help you," and then they hung-up the phone!
  I called them back right away, and got them to give me the number of the company that does manufacture the pump and when I called it, it was a disconnected phone number! Coleman does not appear to care at all about the quality of their products or the concept of customer service. I will NEVER buy another Coleman product again. I understand that products break from time to time and that can be forgiven, but no company should treat their customers this way.
  
  I urge everybody who is considering the purchase of any Coleman products to boycott this horrible firm. By their own admission, they don't even make the products, they just pass them off to consumers. You deserve better than Coleman!!!

  This is the perfect pump to buy with the Coleman Quickbeds. The electric pump, as opposed to the 4D pump that comes with the Coleman air mattresses, does the job quickly and thoroughly.

  Like previous reviewers, I love this product and it works super quickly. I especially love how it deflates things like our air mattress. But yes, bring your ear plugs when you are using it, it is incredibly loud.

• A Very Noisy Great Pump

  This is a great pump; don't get me wrong, but man, if it were a bit noisier you will get a visit from a neighbor or even a visit from the police for killing pigs in your house without proper permits. I think even a blower is less irritating because it has a lower pitch, while this tiny pump screams on a very high note.
  
  But it performs great, filling a three ring 9 gal children pool in about 10 minutes, with little effort. It does what is supposed to do and with great efficiency
  
  So, if you can stand the horrible high pitch noise and find funny seeing you two years old daughter running away like a mad bunny onto her mother's arms while you stay there and fill her pool with your ears in pain and move well into an old age hearing loss problem, this Is the pump for you
  
  If you can't stand an irritating high pitch noise or have nowhere to hide while this pump works, then shop around for a quieter model, if such thing exists

  I've used leaf blowers that make less noise than this pump. It is fast but if you buy it, buy a good pair of ear plugs and use them.

  This pump works, but is loud enough to wake up the entire house and possibly neighbors.
  
  If you need quick inflation this is for you; otherwise get something that is a bit slower and much quieter.

  After reading earlier reviews, I was a little worried that this would be the loudest pump in the universe, but the price was right so I bought it anyhow. It turns out that it's no louder than a really vigorous hair dryer. I've heard much louder pumps. It works really well, actually. It pumps up my queen-sized air mattress in less than a minute. This pump is a champion.

• Takes too long!

  I purchased this pump at my local Target store hoping to quickly inflate several large pool toys for our new pool and avoid the fainting- and stroke-inducing mouth inflation. I don't know if I was just unlucky and got a defective pump or if it was actually working correctly, but I was completely unimpressed with this pump. The fit between the pump nozzle and the inflation stems of the toys (of varying shapes and sizes) was terrible and required me to pinch the juncture tightly during inflation to prevent significant air escape and disconnection. The biggest problem, however, was that the pump lacked adequate power to inflate the toys quickly. It took FOREVER to inflate even medium-sized toys. Probably would have been just as quick to have done it by mouth. The pump gets 2 stars instead of 1 because it did eventually finish the job and kept me from having a stroke, sort of.

  I was amazed at how quickly the pump filled the double-twin size Coleman inflatable mattresses, I would estimate about 30 seconds for each. I would guess that the individual who mentioned it was slow was probably using the wrong attachment (the small one intended for deflating, and not the large one). I can't say how long it will last, but so far I'm more than delighted.

  I found this pump inflated the Coleman beds I bought so speedily that I could put up with the leaf-blower-loud sound. I had originally bought it to inflate another brand of inflatable chair, with a smaller inflation port, that took so long I bought a large capacity hand pump instead. But for Coleman products, the Quick Pump is perfect.

  The pump is made in China. Upon first use, two fan blades broke off. Made of light weight plastic. To send for warranty costs half of new one which one could hope stays together for a year's use.

  I had a major issue with this device. I ran the pump for the suggeted 15 minutes then let it rest. I turned it on again and it quit after running less than 10 minutes. I let it rest again. But it never came back on. I had to get a replacement.

  This product is great for those who have inflatable products commonly used indoors.
  
  I have had no problems with this and it's pretty simple to use. You have two choices to input the air, the narrow nozzle or the wide. Works pretty well with the Intek products so far.
  
  I doubt this would be ideal for the giant outdoor jumpers/slides though - probably better off using compressed air or a blower.
