Mediocre Display

I received this as a gift for my Birthday and was really impressed with the brightness. Then I tried to knock it down a little. Now I know what to look for in an LCD monitor. The contrast ratio on this display is a bit low for my tastes.
If you do a great deal of Word, Excel, and the like, this is a great monitor. If your into photo/video editing or gaming, go get a Samsung or a Viewsonic. The contrast ratio and the lights/darks are much better compared to the 1970VX. I was also surprised when I saw the price. Honestly, for this price, you can do much much better.
