Customer Reviews

  • Works well with Panasonic Lumix FZ27

    By AX1URRBGS3CI8 on 2006-08-14
Took multishot photos, 30fps video. Had it for 1 month so far and it is working well. Have not tested speed other than normal usage with camera.

  • Works great in the Canon SD600 (IXY Digital 70).

    By A291XTI6NO7DEG on 2006-09-15
I dropped this card into my Canon, low-level formatted it (which took about 5 seconds) and now this card allows me to take over 680 "Large" images at 2816 x 2112 pixels in Superfine mode (least amount of file compression). Or over 17,000 images in the "Small" image (640 x 480 pixels) and high compression mode.

You shouldn't have ANY problem with this card holding all of the pictures you want to take. In fact, the camera's battery will die before you can fill the card up!

I HIGHLY recommend this card for your digital camera. Other than Canon: just check with your camera manufacturer before you buy this card and find it isn't supported.

  • Spotty performance.

    By A8LPYGKO2OSTS on 2006-10-19
Sure, this is one of the cheaper cards but I'm finding the performance spotty. This was supposed to work with my Mp3 recorder but it kept sending error messages after a few minutes of recording, even after reformatting. So I swapped it with my digital camera's card and both work fine. It works well in my camera but not recording audio on my Mp3 player. Meanwhile my other smaller, but more expensive card does both. So, I didn't get the flawless performance of the other reviews.

  • Great SD Card at a great price

    By A3NEVXAHW0NQJT on 2006-07-30
I received it just a few days ago, installed it on my Treo 650 and started taking advantage of the additional 2GB of storage. Worked seamlessly on the first try, so far no issues.

  • excellent

works very well in my panasonic fz7. originally bought sandisc extreme 3 which worked fine in my fz7 but not recognized by my panasonic hdtv (with sd slot). the transcend card worked fine on all my devices including the tv.

  • Great high speed card - good value
    By A27AU0Z6BM6Q35 on 2006-09-26
I bought this card for my D50 Nikon digital SLR. I've had it for 2 months now and have been very pleased with it. I have not had any issues at all writing to the card and the write speed is fantastic. What a difference it makes in continuous shooting mode!

For the price, I don't think you can beat it.

  • Everything perfect
    By A1PCSR74FXU868 on 2006-11-06
The card holds a ton of data, works exactly as advertised. All expectations met. No surprises. I'm using it in a Canon S3 IS with good results. I keep the camera set at maximum quality for movies and pictures and have never run it out of space. I just started experimenting with the continuous shooting mode and captured some great dance shots that way - the IS will shoot as fast as the card can handle; while not as fast as a real DSLR, this is close enough.

  • Works great!
    By A2DCR0TXUV45Z0 on 2007-04-06
I bought it specifically to use for Windows Vista ReadyBoost on my laptop and it works well!

  • Excellent option
    By A2W4EBMNER3TVE on 2006-11-02
I use this card on my Palm T|X and love its capabilities and speed. I store applications, games, documents, Audible books and movies on the card. Great capacity for many items.

It is fast enough for a fairly demanding photographer as well since it can save so quickly in burst mode using my Kodak super zoom 5+ mega pixel camera.

  • Great Value!
    By A2HECTU221GLQN on 2006-11-10
Reliable. Super fast uploads and downloads. I use it with my Casio Z1000 digital camera. I take most pictures on the highest setting of 10M since I now have plenty of storage. You never know when you're going to catch that perfect shot, and when you do, you want the definition to be there. The file sizes are saved immediately. I can actually use the rapid-fire capability of the camera and catch those action pictures in series that couldn't be captured with the older much slower SD cards. Then I can pop the SD card directly into my Panasonic DVD player to view on the big screen HDTV. With the addition of a SD to USB Read/Write interface transferring pictures via USB to the PC and back to the SD card is a snap. I used to have to burn CDs or DVDs to view the pictures on TV. Thanks Transcend for making this super fast card available to maximize performance and convenience of other devices.

  • Performs as advertised
    By A1Z5YIXU7H89U7 on 2007-02-04
The product arrived on time, and included a personal touch from the vendor, showing that they value my business. The product performs well for a high-capacity card, and can keep up with the rapid shooting of 6 megapixel photos, as well as shooting movies with audio, in a Canon Powershot S3. I can recommend it for digital photography, though I have no knowledge of its cababilities in other devices. I would also make sure your camera or device is intended to work with an SD memory card, versus another type...it matters. Also bear in mind that these things are sensitive...I try to keep mine in the camera most of the time, and download photos from the camera's USB port. If I do remove it from the camera, it goes into the plastic case it came in, and then into my padded camera bag. I try to avoid exposing it to temperature extremes, physical shocks, and sources of magnetism. I also try to download photos the same day that I've shot a bunch, and further back them up onto CD-RW's. While this is a great card for a really good price, it pays never to be complacent about backing up data you value.

  • Works fine in my Canon Powershot S80
    By A19TH613LUQJ4X on 2007-02-10
Before a trip to Europe I thought it would be a good idea to get a second 2GB memory card for my Powershot S80 (8 megapixels). 2GB sounds like a lot, but hi-res photos eat up a decent amount of memory, as does XGA video (1024 x 768, 15 fps). I compared this against my other card (a PNY 2GB 130x), and both could handle a 30 second video with very little post processing lag.

  • Works, but not 100%
    By A1EOJZ4VJ8L7T4 on 2007-03-01
I bought this card to use in my Panasonic DMC-FZ20. No problems with it except when taking pictures in "TIF" format. The tif image is not saved properly for whatever reason. The image is shifted to the right (so what should be on the right appears on the left), and the colors change to a turquoise-ish pigmentation.

But, taking JPG images and video's with the camera works flawlessly. I plan to keep the card and use it for that, and use a 1GB Lexar Platinum card for TIF's.

  • works perfectly, except ...
    By A1NB4PASW2TDF4 on 2007-04-01
I'm using this card with a canon s3. The first time I inserted the card, I took a few practice shots to check if everything was alright. On the third practice shot, there was a write error. I deleted this picture, groaned, and thought about what I would do with the card. However, ever since this happened I have had zero problems with the card. Go figure.
I would buy this card again for its low price and high storage capacity.

  • Good quality and best value

I bought the card from Amazon.com and have used for several months. It is fast and stable.

  • Work fine
    By A21EMQYE2XMTD5 on 2007-01-03
I haven't had any problems with the card. I have had the card for a few months and it has performed quickly and without errors.

  • Inexpensive, Fast, Great.

We love these. They are very inexpensive and fast. Great price, great performance- no problems.

  • EXCELLENT
    By A27H60WDPR7BVL on 2007-01-10
Great Deal on this Card. Works flawlessly, and very fast. nearly 1 Hr. of record time in video mode, & over 1000 pic capacity at 7.1MP.

  • Superb quality, speed and price
    By A1LIPJ8AXVVSDB on 2007-01-10
The Transcend High Speed SD card uses more reliable memory technology than some cheaper brands and their controller chip is one of the fastest.

I bought these SD cards because I wanted reliability and speed without the premium price associated with other brands.

These cards work perfectly in my camera, they are super fast and were great value. There is nothing more to say!

  • Economical and Fast
    By A3AN4X5XV2KI5B on 2007-01-30
I ordered two of these items for use with a new digital camera using raw mode. Raw pictures are extremely large and these cards allow the image to be stored rapidly. I can then take the card to the card reader (an old 6 in 1 on usb 1.1) and move the image to my computer for processing with no problems. This is an item you can buy and expect to work for you

  • Card works great!
    By A9CPLIZD6JXJA on 2007-02-03
I had never heard of this company before, but decided to take a chance because of the price. The card works great in my Canon Powershot SD550. Am very, very happy with it.

  • This card works exactly as it should
    By AQROYQTV0YHYW on 2007-03-09
The Transcend 150X card works flawlessly. As should all SD cards. It is fast enough to capture high speed video and large enough to hold over 650 high resolution 7MP camera pictures. The price is more in line with much slower cards making it an extra exceptional buy.

  • As good as it gets!
    By A21FOKKWSIHYDA on 2007-05-21
    I purchased the Transcend High-Speed Secure Digital Card (150x) - 2GB

for my new Canon SD 800 IS and I the speed & performance is outstanding. I don't think anything could be better! PS- Great camera too!

  • Fast!!!
    By A17YZ2HSS3UM5 on 2007-06-08
This is the second time I have purchased this type of card. The first one worked so well I bought two more as backups. I am using these cards in my Canon SD630 and they are super fast for read, write etc. I take lots of pictures with fast moving objects and this card never leaves me waiting. It is always ready for the next shot. Even when doing video with high memory files it writes almost immediately.

  • Excellent......Fast With No problems
    By A983LDVC0K8R0 on 2007-07-09
Purchased this card for my Nikon D80. I have only taken about 500 pictures so far but there have been no issues with the card. Very fast, formatted immediately and had no issues transferring pictures to the PC. However, I did the transfer via the camera as I have not yet found a card reader I like for the high capacity cards.

  • Fast and Big
    By A21AWRJ2X4A91D on 2006-12-13
This is a great card. It is very fast and I can store almost 700 7.1 megapixel pictures on the best setting.

  • Flawless
    By A1BMCL773ZUF32 on 2006-12-21
I have used this for about 4 months with my Casio EX-Z850 digital camera. It has performed flawlessly from the first use. I couldn't ask for better performance.

It works but is just as slow as the cheaper 2 GB chips. I believe this is a hox and I don't plan to purchase anything any more through AMAZON.
I got stung this time I won't get stung again.
Sorry, you cannot help it you are just a holding house and not a quality distributor.

    have a nice day
