Easy to set up, lightweight, comfortable and a great price.
comfort and ease of use By AURMJ57LM6KUS on 2007-01-03
Bought this cot as a temporary solution while I was moving. Much more dignity then an air mattress. I slept in it for about a month before my mattress arrived. While the bed is great, I have to admit that I miss the cot from time to time. No support issues whatsoever and quite comfortable for stretched canvas. It accommodated my fairly good size frame with no problem (although company is challenging). I am planning camping trips right now so that I have an excuse to use it again. Being able to sleep on your back is very important for successful use of this cot. Sleeping on your side will cause your arm to fall asleep within 30-45 minutes.
Great Cot! By A38WGOLU21IFG on 2006-07-08
This is a great cot at a great price! It even goes back into the bag it came in. much better than sleeping on an air mattress.
Cots for grandkids By A2V0QRUPX05NE2 on 2006-08-22
I bought these cots for my grandkids as an alternative to inflatable mattresses. The kids said they were comfortable. I liked them because they were cheaper than other cots listed and they should last longer than the inflatable mattresses. Because of the aluminium construction they may even last longer than the old wood ones I used in the military.

Very efficient- very easy to use- and a solid purchase. Slept very good while camping on the beaches on the river.
- Excellent tent cot/extra bed
     By A1FD2AKKVSASAI on 2008-03-08
I just bought this item after researching cots online for several hours. I trusted the many other reviews and bought 2 of these cots. I just got them today. They are packaged nicely and have a very simple assembly. The legs are attached and fold in place easily. The material is secured by two end rods. I was concerned about the assembly based on the reviews. The company must have fixed the problem because these cots were simple to assemble. Both cots were very comfortable and they do not make any noises or squeeking--which is usually a big problem with most cots. Excellent frame and very strong material. These cots were bought for our kids. They are regular sized cots so if your wide in the shoulders (or just want more room) you may want to look at a wider cot: 40" wide cot--which I bought 2 off Amazon also. They are a little more money and made by a different maker but I want to be comfortable if I'm tenting it! I would highly recommend this item to any one. They make a great extra bed for guests too! P.S: You don't need a cot pad for this one, the sleeping bag is good enough for comfort.
- Rio Cot
     By A2E9E6Z1JWHCLR on 2007-01-09
Well made. Better than expected. Easy to put together. A little heavy but comfortable to sleep on. Good for the average built person. Is plenty long but you might need a little wider if you are built larger than the average person.
- Love these!
     By AOSIE5ITEDVCL on 2007-09-06
I don't know why I never thought of using cots all these years.
They are easy, lightweight and fit tall people.
We love these. No more leaky or soft airbeds and you can place stuff under them. My kids take them to their friends houses when they spend the night now too.
One of my 4 did rip this summer and I only got them in May.
But I got an amazing deal on them using my AmEx wishlist discount, so Im happy. ( they ran me about 12 bucks each) Would be 5 stars if it didn't rip.
- Great purchase !!!

Easy to assemble and lightweight for travel. I used the same product when I was a kid and loved it. Lot better than air mattress.

- Much more comfortable than air mattress...
     By A35OH4TQV2Y2VB on 2007-07-22
I've used this cot on several occasions as an extra sleeping surface at home and it is very comfortable. My trick is to cover it with an extra bed comforter, then put twin sheets on it like a bed, thus making for a very cozy night's sleep. I've slept on air mattresses a LOT (I slept on one for an entire Summer) and really can't stand them. They always spring a leak at some point that is about impossible to patch, so you have to top off the air every day and you wake up every morning with your butt touching the floor. Worry about that no more with this cot. The folded cot measures 37" long, 8" in diameter. The one complaint I must lodge is similar to another reviewer. When setting it up, getting the last end slat locked into place is nearly IMPOSSIBLE! My goodness, I pull with all of my might and just cannot get it to lock in. And there is a really bad pinch point if you're not careful. It seems to help to work it slowly, then come back a few minutes later and slowly lever it into place. Good luck!
- Extra Large
     By A20SUN7P2SPUTI on 2008-01-19
The extra large cot is heavy (23 pounds) and rests on six points so be sure it is on stable ground. It takes a lot of space in a tent....trade-off is that when you 'roll over' you don't fall off. I highly recommend this cot.

I like this cot very much, however I couldn't get the the last corner into the proper slot. Either it was misaligned or I didn't have the muscle power for the project. I've used duct tape to keep it tight as it should be.
- Good and Sturdy Cot
     By A3D6JEE9RJQ59Z on 2007-08-07
My 12-year-old son (126 pounds) used this for a week at Boy Scout camp. The final crossbar was difficult to put in place, but it is much easier if you undo the Velcro to detach the canvas, put the bar in place, then re-attach the canvas with the Velcro. My son mastered this fairly quickly and was able to assemble and disassemble the cot by himself (although it was never easy). The Velcro is strong and seems to be made for making adjustments to the tautness of the canvas. Also, the first time we tried to put it together, we found that working on a hard floor surface while each of put our weight on the side bars to stretch the canvas helped. The hard surface was good because the legs could slide out to the sides easier when we were trying to stretch it open so the crossbars would fit. The first few times were the hardest, and then it seemed to get easier. Actually, I would have given this cot 5 stars instead of 4 if it were easier to put together.
Pros: This cot actually fits well in the storage bag. My son had no problem putting the cot and the two cross bars in the bag. Also, the cot is washable. If you have ever had a Boy Scout--well, they have a way of finding dirt and grime while camping. I took a brush and some cleaner to the cot in the backyard when he returned from camp. I then hosed the cot off and dried it open, in the sun. The canvas came clean and dried quickly.
Cons: A few of the rubber feet were cracked when the cot came back from camp. However, if that is the only thing that broke after a week with Boy Scouts, I am impressed with the cot. It seems to be a good, sturdy cot, and I am glad we made this purchase.
- Good Product
     By A1TBB6YB8D31MO on 2007-10-22
I've only had it about 2 weeks, and set it up, and it is very sturdy and seems good quality. It's for a guest bed, and I took a nap in it, and it seems more comfy than any equivalently - priced air mattress. It folds away very neatly and when folded takes up surprisingly little space. It is a bit tough to snap the last bar into place (there's no way a kid could do it alone), but for us, it's not a big deal.

- Great Cot!
     By A36KDN4WRMI35B on 2008-02-13
My family was beginning to drive me nuts with their incessant pacing, door-slamming, and crinkling of plastic bags in the middle of the night and early morning. One morning I decided to purchase this cot on an impulse so that I could sleep outside and get some peace and quiet.
It is great, especially for the price! I have been sleeping on it every night. It is fairly light, but feels heavy duty. It appears to be made of some sort of composite material, with a thick canvas. It does take a few minutes to set up or take down, but it wasn't that much of a challenge for me. I always set the velcro on one end, then get the other bar in place last.
I am the envy of my friends now. I would recommend this cot!
- Comfortable Cot
     By A3DN97DMVRXL6V on 2007-07-16
This is a nice, sturdy, comfortable cot. I have used it for several vacation trips already. My only complaint is that the end bars are very difficult to put on. In fact, when both end bars are in place, they are so tight that the cot frame bends slightly. This may improve over time (when the fabric gives some), but for now I only insert one end bar for stability. It is a bit heavy but easy enough to manage with the nice carry case provided. I would not recommend it for camping that requires much hiking to get to your site. But for an extra bed it's great. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and rate this cot as an excellent product.
- Very pleased
     By AQWSPFJS2ENQK on 2007-08-02
I recently purchased this cot and am very satisfied with my purchase. I agree with the other people who mentioned difficulty with the second crossbar. It takes both good strength and good patience to put it in place. I suppose undoing the velcro at that end would make it very easy, but then I wonder if it would be more apt to slip out of place if not re-velcroed very tautly. Even if it did I highly doubt it would really make a difference. To make it even more comfortable, I purchased a cheap eggcrate foam mattress pad (full size), folded it in half and put a regular size twin fitted sheet over it. It definitely made it more bed-like. Another nice thing about this cot is the 16" height - you can put medium size plastic storage bins under it, which is great for increasing the amount of floor space you have available in a tent. The only people I wouldn't recommend this to are those who have difficulty with their hands - it might be a bit much to fit the crossbars on. Other than that, it's a very solid, comfortable, easy to set up cot.

- Me and my cot
     By A1YBVSQSCIMF8F on 2007-10-18
After reading the reviews AFTER I bought the cot I said "Oh No", but I tried to put it together at home prior to our camping trip and found that it was NOT that hard. You do have to pull a bit to get the last support in place but otherwise its OK.
One thing, if you are a wide shouldered man as myself you will be better off buying a larger cot, you will sleep a lot better.
Happy dreams

- Great product for the price.
     By A3HWEOXIX3R7J4 on 2007-10-28
Product as discribed. Cot was tight to put ends together but has velcro to loosen if needed so, the point is to be tight. Everything worked as hoped. Would buy this product again.
- Got the Cot
     By A7YHUWF6Z1E56 on 2008-01-18
Got the cot. It seems well made. It was a little challenging setting it up until I realized I needed to peel back the velcro and adjust it that way. I was surprised at how narrow it was--even though the dimensions were given before I purchased it--it was hard to visualize just how wide it would be. However, since I bought it for when my grandchild sleeps over I figure it will work out okay.
- A comfortable cot.
     By A11CYCKVHO7GEH on 2008-01-22
I've slept well on this cot several times. At 6ft tall, I'm very close to it's max height. Note that I have 4 other cots of similar construction and quality that are a bit larger with better carrying bags and were cheaper when I bought them from Walmart. Nonetheless this was a good deal at just about $40 shipped.
