  • First impressions, very good

    By AZ679JEWA0IIO on 2005-10-15
Just bought this printer tonight as a replacement for my Canon I950 which died on me recently. I am resigned to the fact that every couple of years you have to upgrade your printer either due to failure or new introduced features. I had compared this printer with the HP8250 and feel quite comfortable with my choice of the Canon.

Setup: Flawlessly, exactly as described in quick setup guide. The LEDs on the print cartridges are cool although of course you cannot see them unless the cover is open. Here's hoping it will be a long time before they start blinking!

Photo Printing: I have printed a variety of photos using 4x6 paper. The quality is very good but still not up to the level of a print from photo processing at Costco. The sharpness is pretty good but the richness and saturation, "fullness" if I may call it still isn't quite there. From various reviews I have read, it really seems you need more then six color printers to really rival processed prints. Having said that, I'm convinced that anybody in the office hallway that you hand a 6600D print to is going to say it's very good. It is noticeably better then the HP8250 that I had done comparison tests. I printed pics using both the Canon photo plus and photo pro paper. It is very hard to tell the difference between the two but yes the Pro is just a tad sharper and also when you rub your finger across it a bit more smooth then the plus. Still does not approach the smoothness of a processed print. That is another reason why I still prefer processed prints. You can rub your finger across them and you don't get that tacky, sticky feeling you get from doing the same with a ink jet photo. Overall I would not say the photo quality is not that much enhanced over the I950. I am really hoping the inks prove themselves in longevity though.

Text printing: Here I was pleasantly surprised. I cannot find a good example from my I950 but is the text blacker? It still isn't a match for my $150 laser but I think would suffice fine for a person that mainly wants a photo printer but wants to occasionally print text.

Printing speed: Overall very fast. My I950 blew away any previous inkjet I had owned and this is a notch faster still.

Other things: I see there is still a quirk with the Canon driver also present on the I950. That is when selecting a photo paper and choosing custom setting rather then high, the slider notch between fast and fine is not all the way towards fine. I wonder if selection high, the notch is set the furthest towards high or is it a setting below like in custom. I have not tried the bottom loading cassette yet. If it works fine then that will be a nice option as I can load it with photo paper. I played with the LCD and direct photo printing at the store but haven't yet at home. It seems to work ok and is bigger then a lot at 3.5"

All and all I would highly recommend this printer except to say if you wanted absolutely top notch photo printing, you'll still have to move up the ladder. My how far things have progressed since buying my $500 HP560 back in 1993.

  • Serious red tone problem

    By A3JTWZNUVOL2K1 on 2005-11-28
I'm a Canon fan. I bought this printer as a replacement for an old Canon i850. Brand-new, out-of-the-box, the 6600d produced photos with an annoying red cast. Photos would require a lot of guess-work in post processing to reduce the red so the prints would come out correct. Most of the time, this 'correction' caused photos to have a green tint, so you'd have to go back and try again. Totally unacceptable. An internet search turned up a number of owners who experienced the same red cast problem.

I returned the 6600d and bought an Epson R320 which produces much better prints with no additional work. For the record, my monitor is color calibrated, and the red cast happened regardless of what photo editing software I used to print my work.

  • Very, very pleased with pixma ip6600D

    By A1UF4QLOS47WXC on 2005-10-25
Overall, and so far, this is a great printer. Pictures are fast, clear, and have good color. Documents are great. I am not a photography aficionado, so I cannot speak to the finer points about hues and what happens when you alter the exposure, etc., etc. I am a "casual" printer user. I use this printer to print digital photos of my kids and for occasional text documents. 4x6's come out in less than a minute...unreal. And they look great - better than the "professional" photo lab we've been using. I honestly cannot believe the features on this thing...it has more options than I know what to do with. I really don't use the PictBridge options, as I tend to edit all photos on the computer first - so I can't give much opinion on this. All in all, I will never, ever, ever buy another Epson or HP (have had rotten experiences with both).

  • Excellent photo printing, decent text

    By A4IH2VCAKV52D on 2006-07-06
I bought this printer a few months back as a replacement for my Canon i860 that has been a workhorse. I was attracted by the direct printing from memory cards, as well as the additional photo color cartridges for better prints. I had been eyeballing this printer from the time it was released to retailers.

I have rather mixed feelings about this printer, but I think the easiest way to describe it is by listing the positives and negatives.

    Positive:

    1. Outstanding photo printing. I thought my i860 printed great photos (it does-even with generic inks), but the iP6600D is a step better. I too have used processors to print some photos before, and when using Canon Photo Paper Pro Glossy paper, this printer is every bit as good as those processed prints. In fact, I have had people ask both if the photos were film and professionally printed.

    2. Two paper loading options - the back primary for standard paper, the drawer for photo paper. This can be set up in the driver to auto-select based on the type of printing job (*but...seee negatives). It is convenient to not have to manually swap paper or turn a switch to change paper.

    3. Quiet - this printer is somewhat quieter than my i860

    4. Nice LCD screen for direct editing/printing of photos on photo memory cards.*

    5. Seperate ink tanks - economy of replacing only those inks that are needed - not an entier combo tank.*

    6. Lots of features not found in many other printers in the same price class.

    7. Fast printing.

    Negatives:

    1. Inks are relatively expensive for individual colors (compared to my i860). For Canon inks, they run around $17 each (with 6 tanks....ouch). Thus far, there are no 3rd party ink cartridges that are compatible with this printer. My i860 printed photos very close to the same quality using cheap inks as the Canon inks.

    2. The Memory Card reader - the box advertises that it is xD compatible - but in reality, the printer requires an adaptor for xD to function in this printer - and Canon doesn't even market or sell such an adaptor (have found elsewhere - for $30+). Wording on marketing material should be clarified in this regard. Borders on false advertising.

    3. Large footprint - this printer takes up a lot of room - several square inches more than my i860.

    4. Driver can be a bit tempermental in regards to the paper source. It is suppose to (when properly set up) automatically select the appropriate paper source - photo paper in tray or standard paper in regular paper feed. The driver often does not make the right selection - pulling regular 8.5X11 paper when printing 4X6 photos. Thus wasting ink and causing an inconvenience. I am hoping future releases of the driver will fix this bug.

    5. Text printing - the text printing of this printer is not quite as clean and sharp as my Canon i860 (or many other printers for that matter). I guess this to be because of the use of only one black cartrige for both photos and text. The i860 has two black cartridges - one specifically for text, the other for photos -

Overall, thsi printer has potential to be a great printer - particularly for photos. It's text printing ability and relative high cost of inks are the traits that have encouraged me to keep my Canon i860 going. IF Canon can get the driver working correctly and inks come down a bit in price, I will use this printer a lot more.

  • Near perfect printer.

    By AOFYBXKUZHBND on 2005-12-23
First of all, these consumer reviews are the best and twice now have helped me to either rectify a bad purchase decision or make the right decision first time. So thanks to all who take the time to contribute.

This printer is EXCELLENT in almost every respect. The quality of the printed images is unbelievable - even on 'standard' output. It far exceeds the quality of the Epson RX500 we were using previously. Its FAST. We print in 'batches'; sometimes as many as sixty 8.5"x11"s at a time. This printer is an absolute dream. To have superior quality photos run off at speed is very very valuable to us as a small business. So far, ink usage appears better than the Epson, but only time will tell and we have only had the printer a week.

The reason I gave this printer 4 stars and not 5 is because we operate a small network of computers with mostly PCs, and one Mac. The printer is hooked up to one of the PCs via USB as a 'shared' printer. Although the Mac can see it, it can't print to it through the network (unlike all the other printers we have owned, including the Epson). My suspicion is that this is due to a driver issue since the printer model isn't available through the Print & Fax function when the remote printer is being selected. It IS available when the Mac is hooked up directly to the printer, without going via the network.

Knowing this, would I make a different choice of printer or take this one back? Absolutely no way. The advantages of this printer are so far superior to anything else we could find on the market at a reasonable price-point, I consider it worth the inconvenience to the Mac user (who is me!). Great printer, and fingers crossed a 'fix' will be available soon to rectify the network issue.

  • Check for ink
    By A9RVJLPLP1Q3Z on 2005-12-01
Once you decide on the quality of printer you like, one of the first things to do is check on the ink cartridges. Replacement cartridges can run into big bucks, especially if the printer only takes 2 tanks and you have to replace the entire color one even if only one of the colors run out. This printer uses multiple tanks, which is good, BUT I could find no generic/compatible cartridges available for it yet. Try looking on the web for the CLI-8 cartridges and see how much they cost. The other Canon Pixma's like the 6000 have compatible cartridges that are available very cheap, so watch your wallet when considering this product.

  • Another happy IP6600D owner
    By A1YF1ENFZV4U7D on 2005-12-02
Did not buy this printer from Amazon.com because I found a better deal at Office Depot's post Thanksgiving Day sale for 125.00 after rebates but I will give my opinions here for the IP6600D. For this price I can live the shortcommings of the lower tray paper problem expressed by others but what's wrong with using the upper tray because you can only load one 4x6 at a time anyway and it is much easier to load the upper than the lower it has worked fine for me and just use the lower tray for 8.5x11 sized plain paper. As for printing quality for this price I don't think it gets any better for out of the box with minimal adjustments on settings, I am not an avid picture printer but this is just so easy to do with this printer. As for ink cost I think these tanks are larger than most and should provide longer life, I went to Canon's web site and found some interesting facts about amounts of pages per ink color and was very impressed although these were color sample test and not real life picture prints still the numbers of pages per tank were quite impressive. As for Canon printers this is my first and I am a happy camper.

  • Flawless photos, but third-rate text
    By A2MYRC7PQGC41V on 2005-12-28
If you're looking for a low-cost printer that prints REAL photo-quality prints on high-quality paper, this IS the one! I have printed photos on Epson, HP, and Lexmark, but none approach the quality of prints coming off this machine. It is remarkable. For the price -- heck, even for a higher price -- this printer outperforms everything I've seen. I don't know how one could do better.

4X6 prints come out in about 10 seconds. Quality is indiscernible from lab prints. On heavy (9 mil or greater) glossy paper, it produces photos that are beautiful, unmarred, and perfect in every respect. No skewing, no weird lines, nothing but pure fidelity to the original image. It's as close to perfect as I could imagine.

However, if you intend to do anything other than photo printing, be ready for third-rate text rendering. I printed documents with color and black text, and compared with an HP DeskJet, the Canon is weak at best. I was surprised that a printer that could do such a stunning job with photos did such a low-quality job printing text.

I'll keep my HP DeskJet 1220c for text. My Canon 6600d for photos. Both are the top inkjets at what they do best.

  • Heaven Sent!
    By A2QU3R2DR8A0TT on 2005-11-25
Before I bought this printer I was ify about Canon. Canon printers seem to take forever to start up after turning them on and took awhile to start printing, which made them a bit nosiy. Well, when I went to a store and printed photo and text documents to test this printer...I found it to be wonderful! Unlike the previous models before it, this printer does not take forever to turn on or print, but is fast all around.

Photo: I think the photo quality of this printer is perfecto! It's fast and the pictures come out as good as the photos processed from an 1-hour photo place. Some think differently, but I disagree. Besides, you can't pick the type of photo paper you want at a photo place...so it's all good.

Text: The text is rich and deep. I love it because text and graphic documents come out looking sharp!

Overall: Quiet, fast, user friendly, colorful photos, rich text...it's b-e-a-utiful!

  • EXCELLENT PHOTO PRINTER!
    By A2772Z7BRHP7DF on 2006-04-17
This is a great printer for a customer who wants to print photos only. It gives you the variation of color with the photo cyan and Magenta, and it also has many features that other printers don't. First it has the ability to do Duplex printing (or printing on both sides of the paper), Second it has dual paper trays that accomidate for not only 4x6 (featured in most HPs) but 5x7,& 8.5x11 as well, Third it has the clear inktanks, you see how much ink you're getting. I enthusiastically recommed this printer to all that are printing photos. Why would you not want this printer for printing text? Why waste your photo ink by printing text? This printer does not have the Contrast Plus system. What is the Contrastplus system? This is a system of using 5 ink tanks. There are 4 dye based ink tanks(blk,c,m,y) and one Pigment based black ink catridge for your text. This pigment based ink cartridge gives you laser like quality for your text. If you are looking for a normal text/photo printer, then look at the Canon IP4200 & IP5200.

  • Excellent photos, speedy set up
    By A3C2JECBR8C89X on 2006-01-26
I did a good amount of research before buying this printer. After seeing that it got a top rating from cnet.com and itp.net, I splurged and bought the iP6600D. I just got the printer today, and set it up in about 10 minutes. Print graphics on plain paper is quite good, and the photo printing is outstanding. I just printed a 4x6 (on photo paper) from my camera and it looks the same as the photo lab, not a pixel in sight. In the photo, someone is wearing a shirt with a very long quote on it, and you can read every word even though the letters are small.

    Nice Features:
    1) Large LCD screen for photo previews
2)The user's guide provides step by step instructions on how to remove each type of paper jam, which is very handy, and has solutions to almost every error message that can pop up.
3)The printer also performs duplex (two sided) printing, a very nice feature for conserving paper.
    4) The ink cartridges light up when inserted, so you know that you installed them correctly.
    5) Very easy, step by step install.
    6) Options for casset tray printing, so you don't have to use the open paper tray.
    7) All trays tuck away neatly, so no worries about breaking small parts when moving or dust settling in the printer.

  • Excellent photo printer!
    By A13P88MS3A0KOW on 2006-03-22
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the photo prints from the PIXMA iP6600D. Good saturation without being cartoony. Smooth prints with the Canon Photo Pro paper. Great options whether printing from a camera or from the desktop. Quick, too - I have a G4 Quicksilver Mac with only USB 1.0, but 4x6 borderless prints take less than 30 seconds to come out. I have had trouble getting good prints from Photoshop but that probably can be fixed by fiddling with the color profiles. Better documentation on how to fix colors from different applications would have been appreciated. Still, a great printer for the price.

  • High quality photo printer
    By AZ2F3SZGBSABT on 2006-05-16
I bought this printer to print 8*10 photograph in a temporary photo booth set up at a recent local festival. I used with a 4 MP camera and a notebook. I must have printed more than 110 photos over a two day period.

The photograps were stunning, to say the least. Every time someone looked at the printer in operation, they would give it an approving nod. The facial detail, and the texture of the clothes the subjects were wearing came out clearly. The color saturation and tone was great. The photographs were true to life. The Photo Magenta and Photo Cyan inks provided superb subtelties to the photograph.

Replacing individual ink tanks was easy. The indicators tell you how much ink is left in each cartridge.

The typical printer functions have been mentioned by other reviewers and I am happy with everything the printer has to offer.

  • Great Printer
    By A1D9XKLUYZZQK9 on 2006-02-10
I really like this printer. It prints out wonderful pictures that come out just as good, if not better, than the ones I have printed at a photo lab. It does text just as well. I haven't used the PictBridge function yet, as I have to have an adaptor for the kind of card my camera uses. This doesn't bother me as I usually edit my pics on the computer before I have them printed. I was a little dissapointed with the ink cartriges. It seems Canon has had them chipped and I haven't been able to find any cheaper generic cartriges yet. The brand name ones aren't really that bad in price. They range about $15. But over all, I think this printer is great.

  • Photo Printing
    By A3GMIO4FFZWC27 on 2006-05-16
Printing photos that you've taken and tweaked yourself has always been scads of fun.
That is until you need more INK ! To me that is the biggest drawback, the second is photo paper. Although paper prices are more reasonable these days they could/should be lower. Back to the ink; I recently needed ink for my HP Photosmart printer.
Well guess what !!! I discovered that by shopping around, I could get a new printer (with the ink) for about what the ink alone would cost about $75 (Expensive) for a Color and a B&W cartridge. Go figure.....
So, anyway I opted to replace the HP with a Canon PIXMA iP6600D, $135.95 with free shipping from Amazon. My photos are crisper and sharper and it prints a whole lot faster than the HP. Among it's many, many features one of my favorites is being able to load two different types of paper. One type in the feeder the other in it's tray. Right now I have standard printer paper in the feeder and 4X6 photo paper in the tray. I can switch which one prints with the push of a button. It also features two sided printing. Thought I forgot about the ink ? This printer has 6 separate ink tanks. So, If I run out of one color, I don't have to change the complete color cartridge (all the colors). I just replace that one color tank for about $10 or $12. Another bonus is that I get more prints per tank than the HP.
Setup is a snap, whether you're using a windows PC or an Apple Mac. The quick start guide is clear and concise. There is only one thing that I can fault Canon for; Not the printer, it's that they don't include a USB cable. I used the one from the HP. So, if you should buy this printer, also buy a USB printer cable if you don't already have one. This is a excellent printer with lots and lots of features. It's well worth much more than I paid for it.

  • Fantastic for the price
    By AQNVOCCUWOXZG on 2006-02-28
I bought this printer to replace a Canon BJC6000 that had been having some problems. I noticed that it didn't include a USB cable in the box, so I ordered one at the same time as the printer. No problem there.

It took about 5-10 minutes to get it up and printing. I've had it for about 1 1/2 months, and I've been extremely pleased with both the photo and text printing. Photos may not be quite as sharp as a print from a good photo lab, but they're damn close, and the color saturation and accuracy are also very, very close. Likewise, the text may not be quite as sharp as a good laser, but it's close enough that you have to look closely to tell the difference. This is such a huge improvement over my BJC6000 that it's not funny. It's also much better than the Epsons and Lexmarks I looked at, and at least as good as any HP I saw.

  • Canon PIXMA iP6600D Blasts Away the Competition
    By A2RHUDGLHHXLEP on 2006-04-24
The PIXMA iP6600D photo printer is the quintessential printer. Your photos will impress and everybody will want to know what photo printer you have. This PIXMA model makes you a creative artist. I wouldn't want another brand other than a Canon. I own this printer and I was convinced upon receiving my first developed photo that Canon need not worry about the competition. If you want a photo printer that is going to make you #1 with photo enthusiasts, the PIXMA iP6600D is the only way to go.

  • Great printer; expensive ink
    By A2LRB83N98EIIO on 2006-11-05
This is a great printer that make sharp pictures of almost any size. The colors and clarity rival professional developing. The printer is also very versitile with direct printing from memory cards with an large LCD, printing from the camera, or printing from a computer (how I use it. The included photo manipulation software is very basic and cannot come close to some of the good computer based programs available). The initial cost for this printer is extremely cheap for the the quality of the product. However, this seems to be part of the plan. Their are 6 ink cartridges for this printer. At a cost of $12-$15 per cartridge, it could cost $90 to replace all the cartridges. The tanks also include a computer chip, so only original Canon cartridges can be used. I print a lot of photos, so in the few months I have owned the printer I have spent as much in ink as in the original printer purchase. So it is definitely not cheaper than printing your photos at a photo shop. However, if you value the convenience of printing what you want, when you want, the size you want, after manipulating the photo to look exactly the way you want, then this is a great printer. Just be prepared to pay for the ink. Also, if you don't print that may photos you may find this not much of a problem.

  • Beautiful pictures!
    By A2MHGI38G18VXF on 2006-03-10
I love this printer! I have owned HP printers in the past, but never a photo printer. I did a lot of research before choosing this printer and I couldn't be happier! I am a fanatic about my pictures being photo lab quality (it took me a long time before I went digital because of that), but I love the quality that comes right out of this printer.

I have only used the Standard printing level and have been thrilled. I did a comparison between Canon photo paper and some photo quality HP paper and I found that for this printer it is best to use Canon paper. The photos are so crisp and clean! Also, the printer came with a sample of Canon's best photo paper, Canon Photo Paper Pro - Super High Gloss and it is very nice, but I found the less expensive (in price only) Canon Photo Paper Plus - Glossy to be just as nice. You can not see a difference in color or quality. Also, they both have the weight and feel of lab quality prints.

If I had any complaints, it would be that I agree with some other reviews that say sometimes the pictures have a red hue. In the printers defense, my pictures were slightly red, but the printer only made it worse. For cases like that, I would just tweak the pictures in my photo software first.

All in all, I would highly recommend this printer to anyone!

I have read some of the reviews about color and paper issues. I just got mine yesterday, and was very nervous about buying paper to feed it. After considering the things I read online, I was going to spend the extra money and go with cannon paper, but decided at the last minute to try office depots pro matte finish paper that was far less expensive, and came with a return policy if I was not satisfied. I threw about 10 photos at the printer, trying to test it in as many ways as possible, from black and white, and vivid multi-colored complex pics, nothing I did would cause it to produce anything other than stunning photos with depth. Bottom line, for the price, I could not be more satisfied, and would love to see a printer in this range put out a supperior photo. I am not a pro, and I am sure that there are settings that I have yet to even play with, but for printing right out of the box, this was to easy, good job cannon. (BTW, I am a Nikon man at heart, own the F-100 and D-100, just could not find a printer by them, although, I did not look very hard) PS, I did make the mistake of printing a low resolution(400x800)photo on 8 and a half by eleven, and that did not work so well, but the same pic at much higher resolutions, came out perfectly!!!!!

  • Red color problem
    By A1HFT68GJ42LTM on 2006-09-15
The photo output of this printer is really quite good except for one GLARING problem - the overwhelming redness of flesh tones. A lot of pictures of the baby are coming out like he's scalded or badly sunburned. This leads to a tremendous waste of paper and ink, not to mention effort in trying to adjust for this problem. Even a call to Canon TS didn't solve anything. Apparently, I'm not the only one with this problem. I would love to return this printer if I could... Too bad I stocked up on a bunch of Canon paper already. Any suggestions for a fix (besides the usual calibration, red tone slider, etc.)? I would love to try the MP series, but this experience has really soured me on Canon printers (I love their digital cameras though - bought 3 within the last year).

My Epson 300 and even the 3810 perform much better with good picture output all-around.

  • Definitely does not meet expectations
    By A18T2RD9IZ59QI on 2006-01-18
Since my old HP895Cxi is 3 years old it was time to update. After careful consideration I chose the PIXMAiP6600D in addition to my old printer. I printed the exact same pictures from within the same program on both printers and what a disappointment!!! The 6600D does not deliver as sharp a picture as the HP895Cxi. It also tends to make the pictures more red and the colors are not as vibrant or true to color. Of course, once I see the picture, I can go in and tweak it, but that means printing it twice. The HP delivers great prints the first time. The HP895Cxi is my 3rd HP printer and I will NEVER buy anything else. I am giving the Canon away.

  • Great printer and value
    By AOY71PRXEIV8H on 2006-01-19
Ok, I'm just a typical home photographer but I think the printer is spectacular. People can't believe that my glossy photos were printed from home. Easy to set up, easy to use, and wireless printing (using an adapter you must buy separately) to permit printing from a laptop works fine. I have no idea why people are complaining about the text qualities of this printer. I use it primarily for text and I think it looks just great. A terrific home/office printer and an exceptional value.

  • Rocky start but very good Canon customer service saved the day
    By A1BRX51FAKAAVH on 2006-02-02
I purchased this printer as a replacement for my Canon i860. The i860 still works great but the promise of longer print (ink) life lured me to the iP6600.

Initially, prints looked magenta/red. Other reviewers have mentioned this. A few emails to Canon customer service got me a replacement print head at no charge. (If this hadn't worked they offered to send a replacement reconditioned printer at no charge.) The new print head seemed to do the trick and I'm satisfied with this printer. If the printer had been as good as the i860 out-of-the-box, I would have given it five stars.

Prior to owning a Canon printer, I owned two Epsons. Never again. Image quality was fine but the constant head cleaning made me go through so much ink! I also like the image quality of HP photo printers but why, why, why do they require you to swap out the black ink cartridge for photo grey? Just another way to waste ink...

  • Compatible Ink Tanks for iP6600D
    By A237JO69JPVYUA on 2006-02-04
Just today I ordered the 6600D online to replace my old Canon S900 (great printer!), which used the Canon BCI-6 line of ink tanks. Part of my decision to buy this printer was that I spoke with a Canon rep on the phone who told me that the 6600D will take the S900's ink tanks. Just before my S900 crapped out I had ordered 18 BCI-6 compatible ink tanks from an online site and I didn't want to have to just get rid of them. Besides, I have always liked the idea of changing out individual color tanks--more economical. I believe the tanks for the 6600D have been renamed CLI-8, but as I said, according to the Canon rep, the BCI-6 tanks will work! And they can be found cheap on any online ink supply site. We shall see . . . I'll post again to when I find out. I don't even have my new 6600 yet--I had to rate this item before submitting this review--so I just chose 4 stars randomly.

  • A Little Known Fact!!
    By A2GQCE1E17KMXM on 2006-02-07
Be warned that if you buy one, the set up instructions at one point direct you to "attach the USB cable." Guess what??? The #*#*# thing does not include a USB cable. Even the really inexpensive HP digital camera cames with a download cable...
    Big screw-up on Canon's part..
Order a cable with it unless you want to make a separate trip to town to buy a cable..
The one star rating is due entirely to not being able to hook the *$*$*$* thing up when I have the time...

  • great pictures
    By A1A11ORVB4WPI5 on 2006-03-20
I opened up the box and in ten minutes I was printing. I love the clarity of the pictures but it makes a difference what kind of paper you use. The Canon paper works great. I have not used the computer to make any changes to the images but the pictures I did print were amazing. I highly recommend this to anyone.

  • Awsome!
    By A9PIJPPJQI245 on 2006-07-14
This printer is VERY easy to use. The quality of the prints it produces are indistinguishable from those you'd receive from a first rate print shop. My technological challenged wife loves it and is even able to replace the print cartridges! Changing paper sizes and types is a snap.

The printer was very easy for me to set up and install, if I can do it anyone can. The quality of the print is excellent even on plain paper. I have not explored all of its possibilities but will be doing so hoping all continues to be as easy and satisfactory as it has been so far.
