Tiny LoveDVD MagIQ - Tickle the Lambx$27.77
    (9 reviews)
Best Price: $49.95 $27.77
MagIQ DVD is a breakthrough in helping babies develop critical social, emotional and cognitive skills by enabling real-time interaction between a cuddly "Active Companion" and digital media. Your child can watch as this adorable lamb responds to on-screen action with an array of synchronized words, sounds and exclamations -- all while encouraging your baby to do the same. These specialized "Active Viewing" experiences help form a "MagIQ triangle" between your baby, the companion and the television. Your child will no longer stare passively at the screen -- instead she will look aside at her friend, pondering its reactions. This causes her to explore her own feelings and react proactively to the stimuli on-screen. Running time of DVD: 45 minutes.

My baby girl loves this!!! By A2DOMGEBWDK1BM on 2005-12-23
This is my first review so bare with me...I bought this for my 8 month old and she drags it everywhere!! She laughs when the doll laughs - its soo cute. She tries to have little conversations with the doll. When we are in the car - she just holds on, talks, and squeezes until she fall asleep. I have not had any problems with this toy yet, but will try and keep you up to date. For now I recommend it. We will be buying the dog and cow for Christmas.
Very adorable, slightly educational, very annoying blue LED light. By A2HIELV54UUTYR on 2006-02-05
I was so excited to get this new product for my 3 1/2 month old after reading so much about it. After we put in the batteries and played the DVD, I saw the "magic" happen. Of course, it was cute with the interaction between the stuffed animal and the DVD while it was playing, but here's the bad part. All the animals have a bellybutton where it transmits/receives the audio for it to interact with the DVD, but it is this very annoying, even blinding LED blue light. How can we even stare at the animal without getting blinded by the light? Not to mention, a baby's sensitive eye. The animal only says a few phrases that correspond to parts of the DVD, which I understand is all that is necessary for a 3-12 month old. The voice of the animal is rather frightful motherese tone, which was not soothing for babies. Don't get me wrong, my baby was staring at her new "friend", but she did wail at the beginning. Overall, I thought the product was not bad, but the reason I gave it such a low score was because of the bright LED light that makes it impossible to stare at the toy and the DVD content. After finishing the entire DVD the first time, I boxed the product back up and returned it the next day. For a product that is geared for babies starting at 3+ months, it needs more music. I think I'll be sticking to the Baby Einstein series because they actually get it right the first time. Don't waste your money on this product unless you want your baby to be blinded by the adorable little lamb.
She loves it By A2VOHDDXMEDCEE on 2006-09-07
GOOD: I just purchased this item for my daughter and she loves it. I have only had this item for about 3 days now and she gets excited every time she sees me pick up the lamb. She is not quiet 3 months, yet she kicks her legs, waves her arms, and giggles the entire time the DVD OR the CD is playing. It really does manage to keep her attention the entire time it is playing. I especially like how the good-bye song at the end is so soothing. It puts her to sleep every time, so it is perfect for right before nap time. I would recommend this to any parent with a little one who needs just a few minutes to distract them. Gives you enough time to actually have some lunch yourself or even prepare dinner.
BAD: Although my daughter seems to adore it, a friend of mine's son is really frightened of the lamb. He likes the DVD just fine. However, ever since the lamb talked for the first time, he is really freaked out by it. He can not even look at it when it is turned off and not talking to or blinking at him. If possible, you may want to expose your child to the animal before you buy it, just in case.
So Happy with this Purchase! By A3L7U85G7MSSXJ on 2006-08-17
We got this when my daughter was 10 1/2 months old. she is now 13 months and she loves it as much (probably more) now than when we first got it. she asks for it almost every day.
the animals are SO darn cute and cuddly and soft (we have both the sheep and the cow). excellent quality. so loveable. both my 13 month old and my 4 1/2 year old love to hold them. plus, they have a little belly button that can be activated in absence of any CD or DVD. so you can just play with the animal alone. you press the belly button and it sings or says a phrase. just too cute.
I got my daughter the cow (12-36 months) but she loved it so much that I simply had to get the sheep. even though the sheep one is for 3-12 months, it is just fine, even now at 13 months. she will continue to enjoy watching the younger version for months if not years. even my 4 year old likes to watch.
they only have one DVD per doll now, but they are coming out with accessories soon (sept or oct I think) so that each doll can have more than one associated DVD. you can bet we will be getting them.
she claps and bounces with the songs. she waves. she laughs. she is really interested the whole time. there are a surprising number of concepts covered in each DVD. but not an overwhelming amount. it seems that whoever developed the video really knows what they are doing as far as introducing concepts that are perfect for this age level (wobbler) yet will still be appropriate as she grows to a toddler.
oh, forgot to mention... there is a bonus CD you can take in the car with some of the same familiar songs from the video and some new ones. my daughter loves the CD, too!
We have had no problems with the blue light. Our daughters haven't stared at it and don't seemed to be bothered by it. but just in case, I did ask the manager of the local toy store where I bought the toy about it. He said he would contact the company and they sent him some very detailed scientific testing reports that were performed to be sure that the light was safe for babies and would not harm them if they happened to stare at it (which my kids did not, as I mentioned). I had the opportuinity to see the reports first hand.
My baby LOVED this set. By AKZH2IU0SW0PL on 2006-12-21
First a warning: this set does not work with surround sound. At first I thought ours was broken, so I called Tiny Love. She told us that surround sound has too many sound waves so the lamb could not syncronize with the tv.
Good news: Sully LOVED this. First the lamb by itself. I never saw him react to a stuffed animal that way. He laughed and flung his arms around when I pretended to talk for it, Then when we pushed the belly button, he laughed more. He also LOVED the dvd that came with it. He was entranced by the little singing lamb, cow and dog. And his eyes would shift back and forth from the tv to the lamb when the lamb would say something.
Did I mention that Sully is not quite yet 4 months old? All this from an infant!
If it wasnt for the problem with the surround sound, this would have definitely gotten 5 stars.
