OK for the price By A1FSL18SFP7DVP on 2007-04-14
I purchased this trike at Toys 'R Us for $20 after the holidays. The assembly is fairly easy, but be careful with the front wheel as it is equipped with a feature that allows the child to coast and not have to pedal the wheel at all times. This is a good feature, but frustrating during construction.
Overall, I would say that this is an attractive trike for my daughter to ride through the neighborhood. She is 2 years 5 months old and still has trouble reaching the pedals. Now, she is in the 75th percentile of height for her age group, so I think that the 2-5 age range is a bit misleading. I use the push bar to navigate her around and she puts her feet on the pedals in a rest position for now. Ultimately, I am curious to see if the construction of the front wheel (plastic parts/coasting feature) stands up to rigorous pedaling.
Ultimately, I would say that this is a fairly good purchase for a family with a young child who is ready for something more than walking around the block. It's cheap enough to use for a year or so before buying a more-sturdy Radio Flyer or other steel-constructed bike. If your child is older than 2 or 3, I would invest a bit more and get a better made trike. This is important to young families who are planning on having a few kids. A Radio Flyer will last a lifetime, where this is more of a "disposable" model that is functional because of the stroller handle.
My Kids Loves it and so does My Back By AF5EKQ4I9NHJ4 on 2007-04-05
I struggled with the decision to buy this trike, thinking it seemed kind of cheap and plastic compared to the metal trikes of my youth. However, I ended up getting one for my 3 year old, and am going to order another for when my 1 year old is old enough. Whoever invented the rear handle steering mechanism is a genius, and me and my back thank them. I no longer live in fear of "daddy push me," since pushing doesn't require bending over to that terrible "pushing a tricycle" stance. The trike itself is lightweight and easy to maneuver. It has a low center of gravity and doesn't feel quite as tipsy as some. I recommend it.
If I could give it zero!!!!! Waste of $50 By A1Q9KZX1ZJ2OX on 2007-05-16
The front wheel is akimbo, took it to the local bikeshop for advice, they said this model is JUNK! They used to sell something like this, but the front wheel hub is junk and wobbles 3 inches off center! It's impossible to fix and the parts department (Kettler) will not send a replacement front wheel (blew me off)! The whole front hub assembly is irreparably bent and off center (factory error)Impossible to ride, plus the pedals are impossible for my son to keep his feet on!
We bought it way ahead of my sons birthday and now too late to return, Amazon won't take it back.
Just take out a $50 and burn it... or you can take a chance on this piece of worthless junk.
An amazing grandkid item-- By A3UQ2LNUT62372 on 2007-05-15
This was for a grandchild; his father and mother (both college educated professionals) had difficulties with the instructions, and several times had to make educated guesses as to the best way to proceed.
However, once it was assembled it almost became necessary to pry the kid off to send him to bed at night. This is an all time favorite user item for the under two set, and a HUGE advantage to pregnant women who have a tyke who needs a stroller they can keep him in. It does not require as much bending over as a standard stroller, is easy to handle at a mall since it fits easily through small gaps between racks, and is the envy of other kids-- which means the rider stays with it instead of making a bee line toward fragile items.
Vehicle envy for the toddler set, and well worth it in added exercise for the tyke set.

for 25 bucks... come on, it's fine. By ACHB7LPS1M6TM on 2007-05-23
Look, it's my twins first real tricycle (they don't love anything with pedals yet...), and it's fine. After I got it together it looked like it was supposed and there were no missing parts. Just be careful when you put the rear wheels on: don't over tighten that nut you have to bang in with the tool. If you over tighten it, you can't loosen it. Do it bit by bit and stop when it just starts to feel like it's not wobbly anymore so it spins freely. I almost blew it myself.
- We love our Supertrike!

I was very pleased with this tricycle. The price alone is quite a feature. My son is very proud of his first bike. The only adjustment that I would like to see is an optional or removable foot peg or foot rest for the youngest riders. My son drags his feet because he can't always reach the pedals. I assumed because this had a stroller handle it would have a place for little feet that didn't feel like peddling. We still love it so much, it has its own parking spot in our garage!
- OK -- trike--Do not recommend
     By AWE9W75GD09PR on 2007-02-19
Looks small and cute. But it is NOT as sturdy as expected. The front wheel does not move easily and my daughter is NOT able to paddle it comfortably(Yes. I have assembled it correctly). The back stroller handle is too big and is heavier than the rest of the assembled cycle. It has a easy assembly technique but this back handle does NOT stick to one place. It turns left and right when you try to use it to push your toddler. Making it useless.I would try my best to return it.
- i love this bike

I bought this for my two year old when it was on sale here for 25 bucks and there were only a couple of reviews, and they were not that posotive. One said that their three year old could not reach the pedals. My two year old daughter is VERY petite and fits on this bike just fine. I love the attached bag and for the price, the bike is perfect. Just as good as a kettler and for MUCH LESS
- Great for the price

Good trike for $20. Designed by Kettler made in China. The reason it is 4 instead of 5 is because the handle which snaps into the trike for the parents still lets it rotate.
- Good trike
     By A39B5PVAQJYQNF on 2007-05-29
We bought this trike for our 20month old. It was relatively easy to put together, with a call or two to kettler. Also, the front wheel is made so that you can have the wheels coast (for little ones who don't know how to pedal yet) but you have to lock it to make the pedals actually turn the wheel, and it is VERY hard to figure out. Other than that, the trike was definitely a good buy, but I wouldn't have bought it if it hadn't been listed as low as it was.
- Great product for the price

We bought the Supertrike 2 as a secondary trike to leave at my parents' house. I test drove it first, and it's really an excellent, strong, basic trike for the price. The stroller handle alone retails for more as an assessory but comes included with Supertrike 2. My son can rest his feet on the peddles, and I can just push him along. Or, he can take over & peddle of course.
My husband found it very easy to assemble but did remark that the front wheel is probably 'the weakest link'. He doesn't think its as straight or strong as it could be, but for any trike under $40, who cares? We bought a pricier Kettler Happy Nav trike for home use, but I would recommend the Supertrike 2 as a much more economical choice. I swear, our little guy loves both and knows nothing about the price tag difference!
- EXCELLENT TRIKE FOR THE VALUE!!!

This is an awesome trike when installed correctly. Worth every penny paid for. My two years old loves it. Instructions and installation are very simple. It took me about 10-15 minutes to install with the right tools.
- Great Beginner Tricycle for my Daughter

We were all set to purchase a Kettler trike for $[...] at our local bike shop, when my sister told me how happy they were with their son's Kiddi-O trike. She told me that Kiddi-O is actually made by Kettler. And at $[...] it was definitely worth looking into.
After calling around for a few weeks (most stores were out) I found out that Toys "R Us had just received a shipment of a handful of the Supertrike 2 with Stroller Handle. I asked them to hold one for me and rushed over to look at it. The quality was not quite as nice as the Kettler, but nice enough. And we figured that she'd only ride it for a year or two before we'd trade up for a 16" bike with training wheels. My daughter, who was 2 1/2 at the time, had no problems riding it. It has a low center of gravity, making it less likely to tip over. We loved the stroller handle, as she would lose steam going up hills and we could just push her without having to bend over. The bag that comes on the handle is detachable and it's nice for holding her sippy cups, snacks, etc.
It's a great bike for the money. And with the money we saved, we can get her a really nice big girl's bike when she's ready.
- Umbeatable deal!

I bought this a few days ago on sale for $22.xx and My 16 month old loves it!
Yes, it's not a 'navigator' or other really great trike, but for less than $25.00 it is the deal of the century.
It wasn't that difficult to put together, it took maybe a half hour. The push bar is really nice and the trike pushes and turns well. The little bag is perfect for a sippy cup and some other samll stuff to bring on a walk.
Our son is average height and can't reach the pedals. (not that we expected him to) He loves to hold the handle bars and go for a ride and he loves when we put the handle in the lowest position and let him push.
All in all a great trike at a great price. Totally worth it if you can get it on sale!
- pretty good buy
