  • Not Quite as Good as it Seems

    By AYEZ2OF6C9NH7 on 2006-04-27
As an avid cake decorator and baker, I couldn't wait to have this carrier, especially for school events! I love the ability to carry 2 dozen cupcakes but was dissappointed in the design. As the bottom tray is intended to cook in, it has standard-sized baking cups. Therefore, when you place a decorated cupcake in it it sinks down and you have to smudge the frosting to get it out! The top tray is shallow so doesn't do that. I have placed marbles in the lower tray cups to elevate the cupcakes which works.

  • For what it is intended

The cupcake carrier seems great but I would recommend using a different pan to bake them in or else line the pan. The top carrier is plastic but it was a great idea using a metal pan for the bottom so that it does not sag when you carry it. I did not use it for baking to keep it new looking for the next use.

  • Great for your everyday cupcake

    By A1DEPKTF77FERX on 2007-12-21
I was very excited to get this carrier in the mail, as I've gotten somewhat obsessed with baking cupcakes lately. Overall, I think it's great. Easy to use, seals the cakes up well, can be stuck in the fridge (if you have room!) so that they keep longer, etc. However, there are some negative aspects of the product, which is why I've deducted one star. Like others have said, the bottom pan is a real cupcake pan, so once your cakes are decorated and put in there, they're a bear to get out without smudging frosting or getting your hands all goopy. I've tried the advice of others about putting something in the bottom of the cups to raise them just a bit, but then I found that the weight of the cupcakes on top caused the top rack to bow a little and smoosh into the bottom cupcakes. I've opted for goopy hands from now on and removed the "risers" on the bottom, but I'm worried what will happen if I decide to do anything more creative than just smoothing frosting on top. I wish they made one of these carriers that still held 24 cupcakes, but the bottom was a little less of a cupcake pan and more like the top rack. Also, they should put a stabilizer in the middle between the two holders because of that bowing problem with the weight of the cupcakes. But overall, it does it's job and gets my cupcakes places safely! The foil-lined box just wasn't cutting it anymore!

  • Not for baking

    By A36WTXJBYS3DB6 on 2008-02-16
This is a great cupcake carrier, but I don't bake in the bottom pan that is intended for baking. If you're making 24 cupcakes, you need to put two baking pans in the oven. This pan cannot be turned lengthwise to fit another pan next to it, because the rounded end (which the top part snaps onto) sticks out too far to fit in a conventional oven. Don't think they had any cupcake bakers on the design committee!

  • almost does the trick

I received this as a gift but I use it if I only have to transport 1 doz cupcakes. I've found that the upper tray is not tall enough to fit most of my frosting efforts and it sags under the weight of a full load of cupcakes squishing into the bottom row.

  • Very pleased.
    By A2B85BB3CT9C2J on 2007-03-26
This case has suited me well. I also own the Cupcake Courier and am pleased with both. It's nice that one of the trays can be used for baking, however, I've preferred to use mine solely for transporting the cupcakes and muffins, as it will stay nice. The wells of the baking tray are a little deep, and you may smudge the frosting removing the cupcakes but that seems to be an issue on any carrier I've seen. The tip of placing something like marbles or rice in the bottom first is a good one.

  • It's OK
    By A20EP6IP9DNG0E on 2007-05-14
I love the idea of being able to carry 24 cupcakes in one carrier, but the cupcakes in the lower tray will get smooshed if you are decorating them with anything but regular frosting. You still need to be careful carring them since they can bounce around oin the container.

  • The only way this product could be better...
    By A13MTUWTKTUY6F on 2007-05-07
...is if it held cupcakes that were a bit taller. Other than that, it's perfect!!! One would say that I'm very generous with my frosting though. ;0)
This is the only carrying case that I've found that carries all 24 cupcakes.
If you have any doubt...buy it!

  • LOVE it!

I cannot say enough great things about this carrier. Not only did I get an extra cupcake pan (in addition to the one I alreayd had) but it makes carrying cupcakes to work, school, events, etc. SO much easier than on a platter.

The price is right, too. You will pay the same amount for this carrier than you will for other cupcake carriers that can only carry 12 cupcakes.

If you have school age children, this is a must. It is great for school functions. I am very happy I made this purchase.
I do put marbles in the bottom pan to raise the cupcakes and make it easier to take out.

  • Good but not great
    By A84HAOA3C09ES on 2008-04-12
As another reviewer mentioned, the top brushes against the cupcakes, mooshing up the frosting a little, and it must be carried very carefully, as any tilt will result in a toppled cupcake.

and i like my cupcakes with frosting still on them!

    By AV24FGHAQC4VL on 2007-01-10
Very nice, sturdy product. Wish the baking tray insert was able to be more staionery, but it's the only one I've seen with the height on both levels (for taller items), so it's more versatile than some of the carriers. Would recommend.

  • Convenient and sanitary
    By A2QOLE6LD8AJJ9 on 2007-03-22
Great way to transport cupcakes! No more boxes and saran wrap. I sent my son to school with it and he handled it all by himself, to and from school! No worries about how to cover them which makes them more appetizing then cupcakes that arrive in a box with no cover that sit out.

  • Best Cupcake Carrier in the World
    By A1Z9DP6JX87T2Z on 2007-08-27
This is the best cupcake carrier ever made. It has plenty of space and you can use it for one or two dozen cupcakes. The baking pan is the best I have ever used. It makes the cupcakes rise just perfectly. I liked it so much I bought another one just so I could fill two pans and have the second one ready to put in the oven after the first one bakes. I recommended it to the co-worker who started me baking cupcakes and she loves it, too. It is an absolute 'must' for any cupcake baker.

  • great carrier
    By A1L7Y230P7IOIE on 2007-09-29
I bought this carrying case for my daughters birthday. And I am very happy that I did. Finally I don't have to "jiggle" two big plates, when I have to deliver 24 cupcakes to my daughters school. The product is sturdy, easy to clean and comes with one baking tray and one out of plastic. The only thing which I had problems with is: if you put a lot of frosting or decoration on to your cupcakes, the 12 cupcakes in the lower tray will touch the plastic tray above. But other than that I am very happy I got it!!!

  • Fantastic!
    By A2W37F8SKMRK2P on 2007-10-25
I bought this cupcake holder for my daughter's first birthday party. I decorated cupcakes to look like monkey faces for our party at the zoo. This holder worked great! It made it so easy to transport and none of the monkeys faces were smeared :) They were a huge hit.

  • Perfect Carrier

  • 24 CUPCAKE HOLDER
    By A1IHVUW08E1ZVO on 2008-02-25

The Oneida 24 cupcake holder came through with all my expectations. I particularly liked the bottom holder that doubles up as cupcake pan. The height between the top and bottom layers is more than enough for additional cupcake icing. I give this 5 stars.

  • Good idea, not such a good design...
    By A2TI40FPAYM8P7 on 2008-09-17
I was so excited to get this, as I am always carrying cupcakes to work events, friends' parties, etc. However, the bottom rack of the carrier is an actual cupcake pan, so the cupcakes are really hard to get in and out of the wells once they are decorated. Also, the top rack seemed to dip down in the center, smashing the tops of the cupcakes on the bottom rack. If you were doing very low frosting on these cupcakes, it probably wouldn't be a problem, but I usually pipe my frosting on, which makes it a little bit taller.

  • Top tray sags--ruins cupcakes on the bottom
    By AX9CMBP6DGOW3 on 2008-11-12
This looks like a good idea, but it doesn't work, for two reasons: 1) The top tray is made of a soft plastic that sags down, making a mess of the surface of the cupcakes below. 2) The bottom tray is a real muffin pan (full depth), so once you put decorated cupcakes in it, you can't get them out without getting frosting on your fingers. I do not recommend this product.

We have been camping two times since receiving the cupcake carrier. Now we get to have cupcakes that are not turned upside down and every which way. It is great.

  • really handy, portable, keeps fresh...
    By A2088T41QX94X on 2007-05-16
Really like this nice-looking, Oneida Cupcake Carrier. It is a great thing, keeps the cupcakes fresh, I have been storing cupcakes in it as I bake them. Nice portable size, light to carry. Just need to be careful opening and closing the side locks. Kinda stiff to open and close them; I'm just hoping I don't break one of them. Time will tell. Highly recommend so far.

  • Perfect cupcake carrier

  • Cuppie cake
    By A3SAEVH9MGUDKX on 2007-07-19
I love my recent purchase. The cupcake carrying case is so easy share and clean. Most cupcake carriers only carry 12...who makes only 12 cupcakes??? I love that it holds 24. Great for work...school...church...you name it!

  • love it!
    By A31JX6TWVMUJQG on 2007-09-06
This is the best invention ever! I always had to line a shoe box with aluminum foil and risk getting frosting everywhere. This keeps the frosting and cupcakes in place, not to mention is easy to carry even on the subway and is a nice presentation (much better than a shoe box!). Now if only they can figure out how to refrigerate it too so you don't have melty frosting...
