  My 10 year old daughter had learned of these from a friend and wanted to have one. She purchased it with her own money and has had hours of fun with it. Now her and the friend send each other postcards to keep in touch since they only see each other a couple of times a month. It is a great way for her to stay in touch with friends. I dont have a clue how to rate the quality of the game. I know that from watching her she seems to find tons of activities to keep her interest. Then since she has the actual animal in her room she can remember she has the one on the computer to play with too.

I own a Webkinz hippo named Susie who is very kind-hearted and fun. My little sister owns a Webkinz unicorn named Rainbow. There are numerous things to do in Webkinz World. You can take your pet to the doctor,the shop,the post office,to play games in the Arcade,test to challenge themselves & make new friends in the Tournament Arena,or go to the Employment Office to get a job such as,the doctor's assistant or fence painting,remember,you can only get one job every 8 hours. You can chat with the friends you made using KinzChat,you could decorate your room by using the things you have either earned or got at the shop,you could even get some exercise,make a movie,give your pet a bath,put your pet to sleep,cook for your pet,or even search for gems. In Webkinz Newz they will tell you all the new stuff happening to Webkinz & Webkinz World,make sure you check the news everyday because there are always some changes every single day.You could take your pet to Quizzy's Question Corner and answer Questions to get KinzCash (type of money they use in Webkinz World). The characters are very friendly with you so don't worry about anybody being rude or nasty. That's that about Webkinz. One last thing,you have to visit Webkinz World everyday. If you don't visit everyday your pet will become sad.

  I recently bought this hippo to see what the whole Webkinz craze is about. I can finally say I understand why people spend hundreds of dollars on these stuffed animal collections. They are absolutely wonderful. This hippo is adorable, soft, and with the internet capabilities, it makes this purchase one of the best ones I have made. The internet aspect teaches kids about money, when to spend, when to save, and how important it is. It's a great way to teach the lesson that money doesn't grow on trees. These Webkinz toys are simply amazing and innovative that I am sure that I will buy another one in the next couple of months. You owe it to yourself to get a cute little companion for you or your kids. Love them!
  
  

• disappointing!--just tears for this treasure

  I got these cute little toys for my daughters for Easter, as they had been asking for them for months! As exciting as it was to open their new pets they couldn't get to the computer fast enough to register their pets and start creating their world. How very disapointing then, because for three days they have not had any success at doing so. Everytime we try we get a note to try again later as the Webkinz servers are down. I am tired and very disgusted by the tears this company has brought to our house! Worse, there is no way to contact customer service until after you have sucessfully registered your pet! Clearly the sales of these toys has greatly surpassed the capabilities of their Webkinz World!
  
  

• Fun and Interesting Concept

  This concept is very interesting and new fangled (at least to me) as far as plush animals. The interactive/internet/game aspect is very clever and provides a lot of fun for kiddos. I got this for my nephew and he likes it. It keeps him entertained. One thing--they just don't make stuffed animals the way they used to as far as quality. Justin is not rough with his toys, and this hippo has already lost some of his hair. I wish we could find good quality plush anymore. I hate the idea of disposable toys because I grew up with tonka toys and teddybears that I still have. I still have my Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls from about twenty-five years ago, and they have never lost hair. So buy the hippo for fun, but don't expect him to survive.

  I can not tell you how entertained my children are by these animals - they send each other "packages" through webkinz post office, have fun decorating rooms for the animals, playing games to earn money for more furniture for their friends - this is a great idea! They are getting harder to find in stores though.

  I love the webkinz hippo!!! My good friend told me about webkinz and I went on the website and oh my gosh! I loved the hippo from the start! This webkinz is super soft and cuddly. It's perfect to give it a squeeze! Even though I have a 2 year old sister ,who takes it from me all the time, none of the little strings on it's back have fallen off! And I've had it for over 4 months! This webkinz makes the perfect gift. The plush is so cute, as well as the virtual! This will definetly put a smile on someone's face!   I bought my 6 year old granddaughter her first Webkinz about 6 months ago. She instantly fell in love. She now has 4 and will be getting more for Christmas. I have watched her on the computer in the Webkinz site and it is fascinating.
