    (204 reviews)
Best Price: $44.99 $39.49
Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Wipes are made with your baby, and your environment, in mind. Unlike conventional baby wipes, Seventh Generation Wipes are not bleached with chlorine, and don't contain alcohol, fragrance, or synthetic ingredients that may irritate baby's sensitive skin. Completely Natural Cleaning for Your Baby Every caregiver wants what's best for their children and the world they will grow up in. Studies show that children are disproportionately affected by daily exposures to toxic chemicals. But caregivers often had to choose between products that worked and products that were healthy for their baby and the planet. Until now. When chlorine and chlorine derivatives are used in industrial processes (such as bleaching paper and wood pulp), they produce substances called chlorinated hydrocarbons, which persist in the environment, accumulate in animals and people, and can be toxic to human and environmental health. The production of chlorine can also release the toxic metal mercury into the environment. These baby wipes are made with all-natural ingredients, including water, Polysorbate 20 (a cleansing agent derived from sugar), glycerin (soothes and cleanses skin, vegetable-oil derived), citric acid (provides stability and pH balance), potassium sorbate (a natural preservative), aloe barbadensis gel (helps heal skin), and tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E acetate, helps heal skin). Hypo-allergenic, whitened without chlorine bleach, unscented, and alcohol free, Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Baby Wipes offer are perfect for around the house. About Seventh Generation Seventh Generation offers a complete line of natural household products designed to work as well as their traditional counterparts, but use renewable, non-toxic, phosphate-free, and biodegradable ingredients as often as possible, and are never tested on animals. Seventh Generation products are healthy and safe for the air, the surfaces, the pets, and the people in your home--and for the environment outside of it. Every time you use Seventh Generation products you make a difference by saving natural resources, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment, and making the world a safer place for this and the next seven generations.

best wipes on the market--or not? By A1QG06IRGH3CJM on 2005-12-20
all other wipes contain irritants and/or fragrances. and they fall apart. we use these wipes "as is" on the road but at home, we rinse them out with warm water and spray california baby diaper wash on each cloth for the ultimate diaper change. (tushies disintegrated when rinsed) we have not had one bit of diaper rash in six months. i wish 7th gen would make these clothes available dry. cal baby removes all biological staining and leaves a "calming" lavender/ clary sage scent opposed to the stronger scent of the 7th gen wipe. thankfully it washes out quickly unlike other wipes that retain their chemical stink and slimy residue even after rinsing them out. and 7th gen are the only wipes that are non-chlorine whitened. best on the market!
Update since baby #2: the wipes no longer contain a strong odor. I have discovered they turn my fingernails yellow though. leave a wipe in the air to dry and you'll see the discoloration. Still, they are the only wipes we use and we use ALOT from diaper changes, to wiping down highchairs, toys, car interior, etc... anything that might yellow we skip--like piano keys!
UPDATE: I found black mold growing in the bottom of a bag. Called the company and they said, "sometimes our formula is off." Since then I've found several "fragrance free" or "organic cloth" wipes on the market. I am open to trying them now.
In addition to finding the mold, we also started using the wipes "as is" instead of washing them out before each use. Both babies developed an intense diaper rash that looked like chemical burns requiring prescription creams. If I could change my star to a 1, I would. The quality of the cloth is superior but they do not come apart so you are waving a container trying to get the wipes unattached.
These are the perfect baby wipe! By A107OAJUDTZXTC on 2006-06-03
I love these baby wipes. They're strong, they stay moist, and they don't leave residue or a scent on the baby. My daughter doesn't get diaper rash from them either. Because they contain aloe, they're good for my hands, too, which helps because new moms are constantly washing their hands. I haven't found any place other than Amazon where they're cheaper - Amazon is the place to buy them. I've also purchased a case of the travel size wipes for the diaper bag - they're perfect. I was actually given a case of huggies wipes at my baby shower and haven't used them because I like the Seventh Generation ones better. What could be better than a product that really works well and is better for the planet than the other choices out there? I won't change brands after finding these!
Seventh Generation Baby Wipes By A107YWNWZNZ8RA on 2006-06-29
I used to love these wipes but the company has changed the ingredients and they now contain Polysorbate 20. I recommend Tushies unscented baby wipes.
diaper rash By A1O8QAV7X4C83Q on 2007-06-20
I really dont get it.. I started using these wipes after buying the pack of 12 and my baby developed diaper rash. She rarely got diaper rash before, so I dont get why this wipe would give it to her. When I stopped using this wipe and used a different brand her rash went away.. Plus I dislike the smell these wipes have. Granted they claim to be unscented, but there is a strange smell to them. Now I am stuck with 900 wipes and I am out $35 bucks. I would recommend trying them out before buying a massive amount of them like I did.. BIG MISTAkE on my part.
Wonderful product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By A3U4179Q657DO9 on 2006-03-16
I have used these baby wipes---exclusively---with my son since he was born. They cost more but are definitely worth it when you consider how sensitive a baby's skin is, particularly during the first year of rapid growth. Buying these from Amazon.com has also saved us so much money and hassle! My son has never had diaper rash, and I love that this product not only smells 100 times better than other baby wipes but also helps the environment. The wipes are made without the use of chlorine and do not contain any unknown chemicals. Seventh Generation always discloses the ingredients in their products. There isn't a generic ingredient like "fragrance" on the label, which could mean 100 or more different ingredients. I like knowing exactly what my baby's skin has been exposed to. I also like supporting Seventh Generation, a wonderful company!!
- Great wipes!
     By A3R5NRPU26SQC on 2006-03-31
These are the best because they don't leave a slimy residue like the "major brands". We used these on our baby since birth and no diaper rash ever. Good deal on Amazon when you buy a case. I wish they were a little more moist (they seem a little drier than Huggies, Pampers, Costco etc) but that's just personal preference.
UPDATE: I ordered another case in March 2006. Wipes were noticably more moist and packaging changed. Great improvement.
- It does the job
     By AKSOBWHNKA8B8 on 2006-08-27
These wipes are not as thicks as the Huggies and Pampers wipes, but they wipe just the same. I like the fact they are chlorine free; it make me feel better that I am not putting any chemicals on my baby. Although it is describe as unscented, you can smell the aloe on each wipe. Some people don't like this smell so it is up to the user.
- Best Baby Wipes
     By AU0LGYJWMHY7U on 2006-01-24
I love 7th Generation products. They are chemical free and safe and healthy to have in your home. When I knew we were having a baby, I knew I could not wipe her with regular brand wipes due to the chemicals and bleaching meathods. I am particular about what I put on my body, knowthing that everything you put on your skin is absorbed into the blood stream. So, I certainly had to find a healthy wipe for my daughter. There was another non-chemical brand that I tried. She ended up with a diaper rash. The 7th Generation wipes clean well are strong and have kept her rash free. For me there is no other wipe for my little treasure.
- What a deal!
     By A1310Q1PXLBH4J on 2006-05-25
I have been buying these wipes from drugstore.com for a year now. I can't believe the savings by purchasing a case from Amazon. I usually buy 8 pkgs at $4.24 a pop. This will save me $15 by buying them here. I strongly recommend these wipes over any of the wipes out there. No irritation on my babies' sensitive bottoms.
- Thin wipes and very dry
     By A24WDE3E887KCO on 2007-05-06
I would forgo this purchase. These wipes are very thin. The first package that I opened was virtually "dry". Others that I have used have only had a small amount of moisture. I find myself using more wipes to get the job done and that cannot be better for the environment. I purchased 960 and cannot wait for them to be gone. My least favorite thing that I have ever purchased from Amazon.
- The smell is horrible and the wipes are like sandpaper...
     By A1VFEJGKXXL70U on 2007-06-26
I thought I would do something nice for the environment and my child, well my child wins! She got a rash, and it got worse, and she cried when I used this wipe - it was to the point where the skin was so raw it would have peeled next, it happened so quickly too! I actually took her to the doctor for the rash to see if we could get a prescription cream to comfort her. I would not recommend nor purchase this product again.
- Smell not pleasant to me and too small
     By A1ALA1XHQY6JYH on 2006-11-04
I love the 7th generation diapers - but wouldn't buy the wipes again.
They have an odd scent that I find really unpleasant,
and they are so small - I feel like I am using more than I would of other wipe brands.
Oh well.
- best wipes!
     By A384BWXUDRCQZ3 on 2006-12-19
We've been using the 7th Generation wipes for a while now and have come to appreciate the quality of them. Particularly pleased with the lack of junk (perfumes etc). They are also a lot thicker than other wipes we tried, so you can use fewer per change.
Amazon seems to sell out of these regularly - the price <$40 a box of 12 packs is the standard price. If you can't find them here, try the 7th Generation website - they list all online retailers...
- Didn't meet expectations
     By A3GIBRU9DYZWE0 on 2007-07-11
Like many other consumers of this product, I purchased them because they were better for the environment and my baby. However, I quickly discovered that the "unscented" claim did not fit the product. For my sensitive nose, I quickly began to despise using them during every diaper change because of the bitter smell. In addition, the smoothness of each wipe seemed to make cleaning bowel movements more of a challenge. Perhaps if they were textured, wiping would be more effective. Obviously, this is just from my personal experience, and I would not recommend them to other parents.
- Excellent disposable wipes!
     By A2F62FRMHV6GEK on 2006-03-10
We have been using Seventh Generation disposable baby wipes for our baby for several months now. They are soft, they are easy to take out of the package and don't stick together like some other disposable wipes do. The liquid on the wipes has never irritated our baby's skin. We really like them.
- All purpose wipes- All natural is best for everyone's skin!
     By A3MJ26SKTWBNC4 on 2006-04-21
I actually have been using these wipes for years on my dogs... No kids yet! They're terrific to have around the house and in the car for quick clean ups. Excellent product, and I trust Seventh Generation products overall.
- Great wipes, but they changed the ingrediants??
     By AKTUQBR88TD11 on 2006-11-03
These wipes seem to be the best "natural" ones that I have found. When it comes to natural/organic baby wipes choices are VERY limited. I started using the Seventh Generation wipes when the second ingrediant was Aloe, I must say they were much better then. Seventh Generation has now changed the order of their ingrediants and the wipes have a completely different feel to them. They seem more soapy and just not as soft. I just don't understand why they made this switch???
I made the switch to Seventh Generation wipes after my son would get bleeding rashes from Pampers, Hugggies and any of the like. Seventh Generation baby wipes have very few mild natrual ingrediants and I felt good about not putting all those additives and preservatives that other wipes contain on my son. Out of all of the natural choices (about 3 different kinds) these seem to be the best and they have a fair price.
- Sevent Generation Wipes
     By A31VCZLDD9H8VQ on 2006-11-10
I like that this product is chlorine free and unscented as I do not like those chemicals on my baby but this wipe is VERY thin.
- Fav wipes!
     By A229P28LBWOZSB on 2006-11-13
We love these wipes! No weird, chemical smell AND we accidentally threw some in the wash with our cloth diapers and they come out like little fabric washcloths - so we can spray 'em with a little homemade wipes solution and use 'em again - even a couple more times before they fall apart in the wash. Also way cheaper at Amazon then we can get at our local store. Highly recommend!!!
- Great wipes that don't aggrevate baby's behind
     By A32JZF7ZRE65DG on 2006-11-21
We've tried a number of different baby wipes and settled on Seventh Generation wipes for both our children. They are just moist enough without feeling greasy. Your hands feel clean after using one, unlike some other brands. It's easy to pull just one out of the package with a flick of your wrist, or you can line up the next one for those 'big jobs' by pulling a little slower.
- Thicker would be better
     By A3KVJB9UCV1GTR on 2007-01-04
I love the concept of no chemicals on the wipes. However, they are a bit thin compared to Huggies etc. You'll need at least two for messes.
- THE BEST NATURAL BABY WIPES
     By A15PPR5UGGQ862 on 2007-04-21
MY SON'S RASH CLEARED UP. FRAGRANCE FREE. VERY GOOD FOR HANDS TOO WHEN YOU ARE OUT AND ABOUT. I WOULD RECOMMEND USING PLAIN WATER AND A COTTON CLOTH AFTERWARDS BUT THESE ARE GREAT FOR WHEN THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE. THEY DO NOT STINK OF CHEAP PERFUME LIKE THE MORE TOXIC BRANDS.
- Good wipes you can easily tear in half
     By A275EWB6L7F2HH on 2007-06-07
After trying several types of wipes, I definitely prefer these over mosst. These wipes are not "paper" like most others. They are actually made from cloth-like fibers.
We have actually found that they tear in half very easily and neatly. You can save yourself some money buy using half a wipe for when baby is just wet. I have also machine washed these wipes (after using for a WET diaper only), and they make it through the wash. I then use my own wipe solution and use them for traveling (put with the solution in a zip lock bag).
They are pretty moist from the start of a package to the end. My daughter's bottom was never irritated from these wipes.
They are a decent value, but not worth 5 stars, perhaps if they were just a little less expensive I'd give them 5.
- great wipes
     By A4LI2UM6LHTWX on 2007-06-12
These wipes are great. No chlorine and they don't smell funny at all. I also like that, by buying the 80-count refill packs, I avoid the extra waste of the plastic cubes. My baby had some issues with the wipes we used before these, but now doesn't have any diaper rash at all.
- Gentle, effective cleaning
     By A39EQRLJQJ51BM on 2006-03-05
These are my favorite diaper wipes. My baby's diaper rash cleared up as soon as I started using Seventh Generation diapers and wipes. You only have to wipe the skin gently to remove the soil, and they leave baby's skin soft and clean. Plus, they don't have any of the seriously questionable chemicals that I found in every other baby wipe.
- 7th Generation Baby Wipes
     By A15QMP4OBGSHCC on 2006-03-13
Great to use if your baby is allergic to regular wipes. My son would always get a bad diaper rash from regular wipes--too much alcohol in them. I don't need to use as much diaper cream on him when we use these wipes.
- Great for my baby
     By A11V5FFW1TC4XS on 2006-07-10
I bought these in bulk after using a box I bought from the store. They were soft on my newborn baby's bottom and didn't have the strong stench that the other wipes I tried did. Plus, she didn't get diaper rash until we went on vacation and had to use huggies wipes after we ran out of these.
- Outstanding Wipes ... Stock Up!
     By AV21FSJO9X6Q5 on 2006-09-11
These wipes do exactly what a wipe should do ... wipe! Nothing less, nothing more. No need for irritating perfumes or alcohol. If a wipe does its job, then a perfume has nothing to cover up. *lol* Just the right moisture, perfect thickness and strength (not too thick, not too thin). Our baby has had no problems with diaper rash since switching to these Seventh Generation wipes. They don't leave residue or a scent on the baby --- what a relief compared to other brands. Stock up!
- Simply the best - so why unavailable?
     By A1XY6ZM8O16HXP on 2006-10-09
So why are they and so many other fantastic Seventh Generation products not available during this special $40 off sale? Really bummed.
- all that I can say is...
     By A1TK66RWW19MEN on 2006-11-05
well, basically these wipes are very good and natural, they are not expensive compared to others. Buying them in here will be cheaper than going to the store, and they are not bleached.
