Quick and easy tool By A36CILYDHT5XOS on 2006-02-19
Great deal! Received the item really fast. Lowest priced link remover on the market. Very easy to change links on the band. Self-explanatory use. Insert the band, line up the pin hole, and twist to push out the pin. Worked with every watch I had.
Only need to pay attention to the direction of the pin. The pins in bands have a specific direction. Most bands have an arrow pointing the direction the pin moves, thus you should be pushing downward when the arrow is pointing down (away from band). If pushing in the wrong direction, then pin will never move and break the tool. Anybody with common sense can see that. Suspect previous reviewer was pushing in wrong direction.
Nice to have around... By A2RDJJO8WQZ46H on 2007-03-25
Just keep in mind it's mainly only used for getting the pins out to the point where you can work with them using a good set of pliers. Saved me quite a bit of time and money spent going to a jeweler for sizing several watches as I gain and lose weight. Has worked every time for me...
As the last reviewer said, look for directional arrows on the band showing which way the pins should travel, both on the way out and on the way in.
The maximum band width that will fit in the tool is 15/16". People have complained about the limitation, but haven't posted exactly how wide a band this tool will work with. If you're handy, this plastic tool could be cut or ground to accept wider bands.
Do a search for a place called Widget Supply that sells this tool for a little less and also includes 5 extra pins. They shipped mine very quickly.
waste of money By A15ORK5ZRD2EB2 on 2006-01-20
I recieved this item on time but with no instructions on how to use it. I did not think it would be a problem since it looks self explanatory. I attempted to use it on two different watches and at both sides of the pin (no arrow on the bands I had), I was unable to apply enough pressure to push the pin out of either. My husband attempted to use it and on the second attempt the end of the device bent and broke off. The plastic construction was poor quality and apparently so was the twist tool itself.....save your money.....it may pay for itself with 2 uses but you may not be able to get even 1 use out of it.
Broke By A12N15G6XAF22U on 2007-03-06
The product pretty much snapped in half while I was trying to remove two links from one watch. The other one I tried before this one didn't fit in the adjustment piece at all. So with that said, do not buy this product at all. It's very poorly made and terribly annoying to use. Instructions are very unclear. I ended up throwing it away and going to a watch shop to get it fixed.
Ok for the price i suppose By A10OHW9CD6PU5A on 2007-06-11
First, I'll just say that no one could truthfully refer to this product "heavy duty." It's cheap, low quality plastic obviously intended for extremely light use. Instructions might as well have not existed.
That said, the item performed acceptably given the price. Successfully resized the bands in 2 Fossils without much of a problem. I expected the tool to shatter each time I used it, but didn't. Saved me a trip to the store and only cost me $9. So I guess it's worth it.
I just don't think the title's reflective of the item, so had to take away a star. Lost another star for bad instructions and generally bad workmanship.
- It works
     By A26Y3X1IBEUTTB on 2007-07-04
I knew that the item would be somewhat less than a precision instrument given the price, but it DOES work well. If you're careful and take your time this item should work well for you. I have used it three times and each time have had no trouble, so it's paid for itself quite well.
- Link Pin Remover
     By A2EDUTSKH2057B on 2006-11-03
Worked as advertised and was very easy to use. The pin slid right out.
- "New" Item was in "used" condition
     By A10CFS53ZRYBN4 on 2007-03-01
This supposedly "new" item looked like it had been either used a few times or someone had left it out in the rain. It arrived with the one-page instruction sheet wrapped around the plastic tool. The silver knob that you can see on the left side of this "tool" was rusted and would not turn very easily. I'm not sure how this tool is effective in removing stubborn watch band pins. Maybe this tool is effective in only removing pins from cheaply manufactured watches - much like this item. When I attempted to use it, the entire plastic body would flex and I was afraid that it would snap if I twisted the knob any further. Not worth the sale price that it was advertised. The most effective way of using it was to remove the knob and pin from the apparatus and gently tap the end with a hammer in order to loosen the pins. This is definitely not worth the sale price.
- It works great!
     By AVJYCY0BSKW8N on 2007-05-01
First off this is not the type of tool you will see is a watch repair place. That said, as someone who gets a new watch ever year or so I thought it was great. I have a place in the local mall that will do this for free but this could save me a trip to the mall. I thought this item worked perfectly. It feels very cheap and is entirely plastic except the pin. But how often are you going to use this. Once per new watch. I expect this will last far longer than it will take me to lose it. Probably 5 years.
Pro - gets the job done.
Cons - feels cheap. What do you expect for eight bucks.
Overall - I would buy this again.
- Great link remover. Worth every penny. Easy to use.
     By A304YVNMXBED5Q on 2007-06-04
Very affordable link remover and easy to use. Cost was under $15. I was able to adjust 3 watches and save alot of money. It also came with 2 extra pins in case the first one broke. Seems like this product was changed recently, because past reviewers had problems. The pins on links are directional, so make sure you remove them correctly. Obviously if you push the pins out in the wrong direction, then it'll break the tool. But when used correctly, it's so simple and definitely worth the money. Will be using this tool on all my watches for many years to come.
- Worked as advertised
     By A24CTULPY6PI2C on 2007-02-26
The link remover worked as advertised. It took approximately 10 minutes to remove links and put band back together on a Fossil watch. Care needs to be taken to make sure you have aligned the pin with the bracelet properly. Don't try to force it. When you have it aligned properly you'll see the pin slide out.
- Watch Band Link Remover Tool
     By A17Z6IKWCXJ8Z on 2007-03-08
Tool works pretty well. Product slightly different than picture, not quite as good of quality as pictured. Worked on several brands of watch bands. Seller was prompt.
- Worked fine!
     By A2VIRILMWUNMBB on 2007-03-08
My watch band was wider than the tool allowed, so I used a milling machine to let it accept 1/8 " more. Ad should have stated how wide a band would work in this device. Otherwise worked well!
- Don't buy this
     By A1PK90R7PVZ5W7 on 2007-03-14
I bought this tool after reading all of the glowing reviews. I thought this would be a good way to save money by sizing my watches, rather than paying $10 each time to have a professional do it. I was so disappointed in this tool. The link remover only pushes the pins out halfway. You are instructed to take a pair of tweazers to pull the pin out the rest of the way. As you can imagine this is not easy. My husband ended up scratching my watch as he struggled to pull the pins out. Knowing what I know now, I would definitely have invested in a different link remover.
- watch link remover
     By A1AHR761Z7MPEG on 2007-03-23
I loved this item because for less than the price of getting one link taken out of one of my watches i could take out as many as i wanted from all of my watches and save so much more money on doing a simple task. I think anyone who is wanting to remove links from their watch should invest in this product before they go to a jewelers and pay to have it done.
- BROKE WITH FIRST USE...JUNK!
     By AS55WC6UBHM2P on 2007-02-14
I bought this item to size my husband watch band and with the first use the pin bent...Contacted seller, the pin can't be replaced. I have to buy a new tool. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!
- Easy to Use Link Remover
     By A2M20Z5RLTBB0U on 2007-02-14
This is a easy to use link remover....and worked well. But you do need to line up the pinhole and make sure the direction on the pin is correct. I read some of the negative reviews and still bought the product and it was a great product. Just make sure you read the directions.
- MORE IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER
     By A3OC91JXD3U890 on 2007-02-23
Fear of astringegent critique will make this brief.... As in all things I discovered the proper direction . (of the pin removal) On watches other than Invicta , the end of the pin that looks like it might be a tiny slot for a screwdriver , isn't , you push on the opposite end of the pin , the split is the insertion end . Pushing the wrong end results in tool pin breakage , especially on the model offered with replacements . On Invictas , there's an arrow showing the pin direction on the band . The device offered with the EXTRA PINS is the inferior one (thus the offer of MORE) . You must make sure to keep the band square against the tool when performing the screw motion . I am quite pleased with my tool . The Watch Pavillion offers a free replacement if this one isn't adequate . (push pin breaks) Quite frankly a no brainer...make sure you spread the pins a bit to insure tightness upon insertion . AS ADVERTISED..va wa la ! GOD is great !!
- Removes links easily... no problems... great product

- Does the job
     By A18R1IA12FSJBU on 2007-08-03
Made of plastic, so be gentle. Used on a Wenger I just purchased. Made a task that in the past has been frustrating (and even injurious) quite easy.
- After only one watch
     By A36I56FZKX3MQU on 2007-08-13
So far, I've only used this item on one watch, Swiss Army brand. But when I used it, it is very easy, straight forward, and it works just as it should be! I'm satisfied!
- Good Product
     By ANF6H60KE2REI on 2007-08-23
Good Product-Fast delivery. Saved me $60 for jewelers charge for removing four links and a song and dance on how difficult is was to do. A caveman can use this tool.
- Great product and easy to use.

I used this to adjust the band on my new Invicta 2687 Invicta Abyss Men's Watch 2687 It was so simple. It took me about 5 minutes to get the band adjusted to the right size. I hope to use it more in the future.
- GOOD TOOL
     By A236GSTZJ230JX on 2007-08-30
I RECEIVED MY WATCH BAND TOOL AUGUST 28, 2007 AND I AM IMPRESSED. MY TOOL CAME WITH AN ADDTIONAL 6 PINS. ONE PIN DID BREAK BUT THE TOOL STILL DID THE JOB.
- not worth the money
     By A3V1ICPX0N9LO1 on 2007-09-11
this product is flimzy and not worth the money and shipping cost. I am sure there are better products out there.
- it works sometimes
     By A1P60Q815LXK6T on 2007-10-05
after several times of using,,,i figured all i need is just a hammer and a tiny pin.......
this one is not easy to use, for me at least. I would definitely adjust the band of my Tissot, but I am never gonna use this tool to adjust my TAG Heuer , i would rather pay 10 buck for it.
- great product
     By A107T0HDY55ZHO on 2007-02-05
This is a great product.. It's easy to use and it works but you must read the instructions. The bad reviews were obviously from lack of instruction reading. Now we'll never have to take our watches to the jeweler to be sized. Thankyou Amazon!

Good product for a good price. This is an item u can't do without. Would buy from vendor again.
- IT DOES IT ALL
     By A2XOUFVUZAZD3 on 2007-05-13
GREAT PRODUCT AND A GREAT PRICE. PURCHASED NUMEROUS KNOCK OFF WATCHES WHILE STATIONED IN KUWAIT. BREITLINGS, ROLEX, ETC., AND THIS DOES A GREAT JOB REGARDLESS OF THE BRAND OR TYPE OF BRACELET. IT SAVES TIME IN FINDING A JEWELER HERE IN THE STATES WHO IS WILLING TO DO THIS JOB BECAUSE OF THE KNOCK OFF BRANDS. EVEN A 58 YEAR OLD PUTZ LIKE MYSELF WAS ABLE TO DO THE JOB SUCCESSFULLY
- Satisfactory link pin remover
     By A36L6JJ9RAMFMU on 2007-05-16
The item does it's job of removing well, but you get what you pay for. The mechanism for pin insertion is somewhat rudimentary. I broke a pin attempting to insert it into my watch. It does it's job though, if you get it, be careful when inserting the pins. It doesn't keep the pins straight.
