  bought this to travel to Italy with (could not get on QVC--all sold out--and cheaper on Amazon) and it was perfect for traveling--carried alot but was not too heavy or cumbersome and very handy for in front over the shoulder items (camera, cellphone, wallet, passport, etc..)and felt safe--great bag for travel...........

  I have never been fond of purses because they can not be attached to your body like a fanny pack. Fanny packs are just not hip enough and I have been looking for a purse/bag that can stay attached to me. This shoulder bag is attractive and compliments almost any attire. The strap fits comfortably over my left shoulder and the purse portion rests near my right back hip. I never take it off even when sitting down. There are a few design flaws: a small zippered pocket inside for earrings or small items would be nice, the expandable zippers are not necessary because there is plenty of room to place items without using the expansion, and there should be a zipper to make sure none of the items fall out under the flap. If you are using it to go abroad, there is no way to safety pin the outside zipper closed to prevent pick pocketers but you could place the strap on the right of your shoulder and have the purse hang in front of you instead of in back. Overall, I am very satisfied.
  
  

• Nice Organizer Bag That Isn't Too Expensive

  When I broke my arm I purchased this bag so I could still carry a purse when I went shopping. The light colored lining makes it easy to see things inside the bag. If you don't like searching through your bag then this one should be a good choice because it keeps everything well organized.
  
  I still use this bag when I go grocery shopping so I don't have to leave my bag in a cart while choosing items in the store. I have had the bag for more than a year, used it on a regular basis, and it still looks good. If you have problems with shoulder bags sliding off your shoulder, this crossbody bag is a good solution.
  
  It would be nice if each color selection had a matching strap instead of the black that comes on all of the bags.

  This is a nice bag and is about what you would expect. It is exactly like the Buxton Bag which retails for $19.95. The Buxton is the one you have no doubt seen advertised on TV recently. In fact, this is how I found this particular listing on Amazon.

  I bought this for my mom, who is a grandmother. She wanted something she could keep on and still hold her newborn grandson without worrying about it falling off. She loves all the compartments and the size. Her friends have complimented her on it and asked where they could get one too.

  My mom gave me this bag for my b-day almost 3 years ago, and it still looks as good as the day she gave it to me. She thought it would be good since at the time I was doing a lot of air travel, and it certainly did serve my needs well in that capacity, as it keeps everything organized, it's still small, and doesn't get in the way when I have another carry-on on my shoulder as well.
  
  
• Perfect fit, but...

  This bag fits snuggly across my chest and doesn't swing forward if I reach for shelf-items while shopping. Straps adjusted perfectly for my short, round body. Comfy cross-body design allows me to bend down and lift luggage without bag slipping down my arm. Lots of separate compartments. Placement on chest allows me to conduct business easily without digging around in a soft cavern that shifts as I search. The placement also reassures me that nothing can be stolen from the bag while I'm wearing it.
  I was delighted that it listed "magnetic closure"-- hook&loop closures ruin clothes. Although the main closure snaps securely with a magnet, the cell-phone pocket has hook&loop whose edges snag scarves and other loose clothing. Perhaps this design accommodates the myth that any magnet can harm cell phones. I'd prefer a redesign specifying that improvement: "cell-phone safe magnetic closure". If it is redesigned with all-magnetic or zipper closures, I'd buy one in every color. (Mine is well-represented by its photo; a bright tomato red.)
  I love this bag except that I dare not wear it with my favorite rebozo or silk scarf.

  I just got this bag a couple of days ago. I just put all my stuff in it and actually used it out for the first time today while shopping. I like the fact that it has lots of room inside and lots of pockets. I got this for eveyday use and I know it will come in handy when out with my kids, because of all the stuff I end up holding for them. I haven't tried putting a water bottle in it yet, but am sure one will fit. The only thing I didn't like about it was, the strap kept digging into my neck, but I am sure that once I get used to it and get the strap adjusted right, it should be fine. I love that I can walk around a store and be hands free and not have to worry about someone walking off with my bag. I think the over the body design will also help with the shoulder and back pain I get from hauling around a heavy bag on one side.

  I love this bag. The strap is nice and wide and very adjustable. I am tall and I usually have problems with adjustable straps. But, this one is wonderful. It holds more than you think and doesn't look like it's crammed full of stuff.
  
  It's a great bag, works perfectly and I would highly recommend this to anyone.

  I purchased this for my Mom and she took it on a tour of Eastern Europe. She said it was the perfect bag - big enough to hold everything she needed for the day (camera, wallet, travel book, etc.) but not so big that it got in the way or was too heavy. She said people in her travel group asked her where she got it so they could get one for their next trip!

  I purchased the Travelon expandable bag and though it is a nice bag it is not as roomy as they describe. The picture is deceptive. Read the dimensions of the bag and that will give you a better idea of how large the bag is

  i just got this bag in today and i got one for my mom for her b-day and one for me. i was very disappointed. the main compartment is WAY too small and the front one that zips out is WAY too big. Anyway, maybe my expectations were outta sync. if you like to sling the bag over your left shoulder, then it doesn't work so great. even still, everything is too tight for it to be an every day bag.....maybe for travel....it would work great....but for everyday (which is what i bought it for, based on the advertisement) NO!!!! if it was $20, maybe, but not for almost $40.....
  
  
• Not worth the money

  The bag looks nice but does not stay closed. The magnet closure system is very weak and the flap flies open all the time. I bought it for everyday use as a pocketbook and to travel with but I don't feel it is safe unless I have the closure system modified. I am going to take it to the leather repair shop and ask them to put a different closure device on it. After doing that it will make this bag far more $$$ then it is actually worth.
  If you are looking for a secure travel bag that you feel confident with this is not the bag for you.

  Have had this bag a week or two and so far I love it. The bag is on the small side however that's what I was looking for. Easily enough room for my day to day items. After reading the many bad reviews for the Buxton version of this bag I was hesitant but the Travelon is a quality item. So far everyone who's seen it has expressed interest in getting one. My roommate liked it so much she emptied her own bag and took mine with her for a trip. The only negative (and not much of one) is the nylon strap. I would have preferred leather but it's still relatively comfortable and doesn't cut into my neck. Overall a very comfortable, safe and stylish bag. I would definitely recommend this to anyone...would have given 5 stars for a leather strap. Shipping was fast and without problems.

  I looked all over locally for a purse with multiple pockets and couldn't find a thing. I bought this over the $19 one because of the reviews. I am very happy with my purchase. Lots of usefule pockets. Feels good carrying it over my right shoulder. Light gray insides make it easy to find things. Highly recommended.

  Travelon Leather Expandable Shoulder BagI purchased this bag primarily for an anticipated trip. Decided I should use it for a while before trip to get "acquainted" with it. It seemed too small for me at first, and I didn't think I would be able to get all my "stuff" in there, but everything fits perfectly. Everything fits so well I have no problem finding just the item I'm needing. It is much nicer than trying to find something always on the bottom of the bag. The wide strap is very comfortable, the cell phone pouch is in just the right place. It really is very servicable.

• I was disappointed

  The Travelon Leather Expandable Shoulder Bag was very disappointing. When I opened the package, the leather smelled gross. But, I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. So I used it for a couple of days. However, there was not enough room for the things I needed and the bag ended so heavy that the strap started digging into my shoulder. I would recommend that anyone who wants a bag like this to research it fully before purchasing it.
