Great service & product By A1I8C68Y6OHJDZ on 2007-08-06
Seller's communication was excellent and notified me when item was mailed. Mailbox arrived in great time.
I mail quite a bit of small packages and needed a large mailbox to save trips to the post office. The size of this mailbox was perfect and easy to install on the post.
The mail lady said she was happy to see the larger size and more people on her route should have one like it.
T3 Mailbox By A116EHFWFGTAI0 on 2007-10-11
The T3 mailbox is just what we wanted. It is large enough to hold small packages as well as the normal mail. This works very well for our rural setting. It was easy to assemble the mailbox and the instructions were clear. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is that the red flag seems small and somewhat flimsy. I am concerned that it will not hold up well over several years of use.
Product suffers from cheap latch and flag By A2TYFA6Z97EG4E on 2008-09-07
These mailboxes are widely distributed available at lumber yards and
hardware stores as well as on line.
They are conventional design of galvanized steel and are not hot dipped. They will rust quickly as soon as a scratch appears in the thin zinc coating. The paint bonds poorly to the zinc coating and quickly (one year) comes off in large flakes.
The Plastic latch and flag hinge quickly UV degrade become cracked and brittle as they lose their plasticizers. Parts are not readily available and are relatively expensive.
In short this is a once durable product that is now so cheapened as to be unsatisfactory. unfortunately there are few alternatives on the market at reasonable prices.
Great Product - Nice and Big! By AR51WWB0OMQBM on 2008-01-20
Bought this because we needed a mailbox that our mail carrier could put books in. This mailbox is very big and sturdy and was perfect for our application.
No frills, does the job By A15NB814T62B71 on 2008-02-08
I wanted a mailbox big enough to hold most of the packages I receive, so I wouldn't have to keep driving into town to the post office whenever I get one. AND as a bonus, I can now send out most of my packages using Click n Ship because they also fit into this box. I was always worried about leaving them for the postal carrier on the ground, as our mailbox (and our neighbors') are over a mile from our house. Like I said, its no frills, but it does the job.
- Nice large mailbox
     By A13LX52QSKNF5R on 2008-05-09
I was looking for a mailbox that would hold all my shipping items. This mailbox is the best because of it's size. The only gripe I have is the cheap plastic red flag on it. It's like having a M1 Abrams tank with a plastic gun on top.
- So far, so good!!!
     By A28RDWZ2OB17GD on 2008-06-22
After just a few weeks of using this mailbox, we're very well satisfied and consider it a definite upgrade from the one it replaces. Best feature is the large size interior, which easily holds a couple of small boxes or lots of magazines and catalogues. In the center, it's about 15" high, so there's no need to bend or fold large envelopes. We noted other reviewers' criticisms about the plastic parts and plan to take reasonable care in using the latch and red flag. That being said, we've discovered that the plastic open-close latch is actually a bonus in the summer, when metal parts are too hot to handle. It doesn't have fancy extras or elaborate design, but for anyone who needs a basic-design mailbox with extra room, this is a a very good deal.
- Plastic Latch is Junk
     By A3JSSJ9AQPW1XM on 2008-09-05
The plastic latch is junk and replacements are not available at dealers, to get one you have to fill out a written order, write a check and mail to company, no internet orders and they will not just send you one. When the latch gives out the door falls open and your mail gets wet.
- Mailbox Review
     By AQKXQ5LOHJL7K on 2008-02-09
This Mailbox has plenty of room for nearly all U.S. Postal deliveries. A little pricey in my opinion but a couple of inconvenient trips to the post office will make this seem like a bargain.
- Sturdy mailbox, should be all metal
     By A2KLK8XM98GB9L on 2008-02-28
This might be a bit premature, since I haven't stuck the thing on my post yet. The mailbox is large (my kids were impressed) and suitable for bigger packages, which I'm constantly getting and mailing. Door and hinge appear sturdy, as does the box. I'd have considered 5 stars, but took away a star for plastic used for the latch and (fairly small) flag. If the mailbox has a weakness, it'll be those. I suspect they'll break long before the box will. Still, it meets my needs and the kids were able to assemble it while I washed dishes. Recommended if you don't mind the plastic.

This mailbox is exactly as expected. I was looking for something larger than T1 or T2. I could not find a T3 locally, so I ordered one online. There is nothing more to say.
- Metal Good, Plastic Cheap
     By A1MNKBXXPENJ94 on 2008-06-09
While I love the size of this mailbox and the fact that it's actually made of metal, I do have a problem with the cheap plastic latch that won't do its job. The lid keeps popping open. I have called the company and they will be sending another plastic latch as a replacement. They claim that they have not had any complaints. They should read the Amazon reviews. I probably will not buy another mailbox made by this company if plastic is involved.

I have not install it yet, just to hot hot, easy to put together, i can't see a problem.
- Nice mailbox if you can use it
     By A1I513SUBX5H8Y on 2008-08-15
The box is OK, though the bottom is a bit flimsy. The problem is the mounting. I have a round pole and it is impossible to get brackets for this size. Everybody has it for the traditional T-1 size but nothing for this one. Obviously whoever came up with the big mailbox idea didn't think that people might want to put it on their existing pole. For now the box is sitting in my garage till I figure out how can I mount it or decide to send it back. It is pretty frustrating.
- Big 'Un
     By A594650YA7W1D on 2008-09-21
Good, solid mailbox. Simple to install the hardware. "Hardware" is plastic! I hope it holds up to the weather.
While my local postman looks for more and more reasons to have me trot down to the local Post Office to pick up parcels and large envelopes, I look for ways to avoid this. The huge size of this baby thwarts these lazy postal efforts. It is a "big 'un" and will hold ALL of my daily mail.
