Very good system, better manual would help

I purchased this Monster SmartView 300 and found that the construction was as sturdy as lesser branded mounts I had seen in brick and mortar stores. The instructions for installation were very straightforward and simple. I mounted a 46" Sony Bravia KDL-W3000 LCD HDTV with relative ease over my fireplace (with the assistance of two friends).
Suggestions for installing the mount include: use a high speed drill along with a VERY GOOD studfinder. Since I have a new construction house, I knew where the studs were. You probably want to get a $80-$100 studfinder or find a friend who has one.
The problem I had was attaching the mounting bracket to the TV itself. The spacers suitable for the Sony TVs fit, but it isn't snug. My TV had uneven depth on one side of the VESA screwholes. The spaces did equalize the depth, but getting the brackets symmetrical took some time (about 1/2hr). It would be nice if Monster put some notes on different brands of TVs and how spacing and bracket fits.
Otherwise, the Amazon delivered this kit very promptly and the overall installation was good. If you have a few friends (one that is DIY savvy) then save the $400-$500 installation fees (at least in NJ) and use it toward a nice game system or high def DVD player.

This was a great product. The only issue I had was there were no screws or bolts included. So I had to go to the local home depot to get them. The price was great and shipping was fast

The Installation was a breeze, this is a very sturdy product and it was amazing how easy it was to install. I recommend this product:
Pros:
- Great price as compared to a Sanus
- Easy Installation
- Quality product Sturdy enough to hold a 52" LCD
- Tilting functionality is good if you have a lot of glare in your room
Cons:
- Once the TV is fixed on the wall, not enough space to get more cables connected
