Not made for Women! By AQD11BYEORKTF on 2006-05-25
Look, for most guys or girls with big muscles, this works. However, if you don't have an arm that fits this description, it won't fit. Ladies, I advise you to buy something else. I sewed more velcro on and have a long tail sticking off of it. Which is really annoying. Thought I would put it out there.
Great case By A2OLDDFCH6R0J6 on 2007-03-17
This case fits my 4G U2 iPod (not video) perfectly and comes with a variety of carrying options: the armband, built-in belt-clip, a neck-loop with quick-release, and a belt-loop with quick release. I originally purchased it because of the armband option but find that I use the neck-loop more often. The belt-clip secures the case into the armband, though I would recommend using belt-clip option with caution. It's never fallen off my hip, but so far I have used that option only when sitting or standing (doing dishes).
The top of the case is open and allows easy access to the headphone jack and hold button. I was concerned at first that the iPod might slip out, but it's very tight, though removing the iPod is still convenient. The bottom has a space for the jack so you can charge/sync the iPod without removing it from the case. There is a built-in 'D' ring on the case just above the belt-clip (for the quick-release neck- and belt-loops) that would allow you to attach your case to just about anything if you wanted to.
Very versatile with lots of carrying choices-I definitely recommend this case. A few minor critiques:
1) there are two stylized gaps on the bottom corners that would allow contact if the iPod ever fell. They look nice, but that area of the iPod is exposed which leaves it open to physical scuffs, dings, etc. BUT, given the carrying options they give you it should never fall anyway, right?
2) no case maker I have found avoids the clear plastic film to protect the screen. They are designed to protect but in my experience usually get stuck to the iPod's screen and as dust and small debris eventually collects in the gap between iPod's screen and the protective film there is the potential that the screen could get scratched. My iPOD does not move in this case - it's perfectly snug - and friction is what causes scratching, so it is unlikely this will happen. As a precaution I put on a PDA screen-protector which actually helps reduce glare as well as protecting the iPod's screen.
3) the belt clip is a soft plastic and doesn't feel that secure, though I haven't had any problems yet and use it frequently (I would not go jogging using the belt clip). If a belt clip option is your only reason for buying a protective case for your iPod I'd recommend another case just to be safe.
I purchased this case after a disastrous experience with a DLO case that not only did not hold my iPOD safely (it fell out of the case unexpectedly more than once), but actually scratched it terribly. I am very very happy with this new purchase.
Does not fit the new 80 GB Ipod Video By A11JDKLKQU45X9 on 2006-12-13
FYI: This does not fit the new generation 5.5 of ipods (80 GB). Another thing is that there isn't a hole for the headphone jack which is rather odd.

Nice Case! By AT2TXNHYID2YW on 2007-03-13
I have not been able to find a case like this until now. The shipping from My Gear Store was fast, and case is very protective.
- Finally an armband that fits!!
     By ACVGH6J8GWEH6 on 2007-09-21
After trying a few that were way too small for my arm I found that this is a perfect fit. It stays in place well, the neoprene like fabric stretches as it should and the band has enough space so even a small arm can fit into it and I dont notice that I am wearing it. The velcro closures on either end keep the ipod secure and snug. The plastic covering for the face allows ease of use for the controls (though sometimes its difficult to adjust the volume but thats more of a dexterity issue). All in all an excellent product

I would recommend this armband to ANYONE who actually wants an armband that works. It looks good, feels good, and WORKS good!! It may be a little too big for some people, but that can be easily fixed by adding a little more velcro to the strap. Also, it has two headphone holes so it can fit all ipods. It also has a spot where you can wrap your excess headphone wire. I have a DLO skin on my 5th generation 30gb ipod, and it fits perfectly (would probably fit a bit better without it, but thats too much work!).
I know it's hard to find a GOOD armband for ipods other than the nano, believe me, I looked a lot. Stop looking and buy this!!
- Get max use of your iPod!
     By A33M24DSYK76EX on 2007-07-30
I bought this for my husband with hopes that he would be able to use his iPod while working in the yard (without slicing it with a chainsaw). All I can say is WOW! He uses it all the time now. Rain or shine (and it rains alot here in Oregon) his iPod is well protected - he straps it on his arm and runs the earphone cord up inside his shirt and wears ear protection over his earphones. There are no concerns of it dropping, slipping, or being lost. Truly an excellent purchase if you have an iPod video.
- IPOD Armband

IPOD is secure even when running. Very easy to slide the IPOD in and out of the band.
