  • Hassle saver

    By A2TFB4TJ6AMEA7 on 2006-12-02
I always hated having to find a gas station to put air in my tires. Also, in the winter this was an unpleaseant task. Now with this compressor I can fill up the tires in my garage in relative comfort. It fills up the tires quickly and is very easy to use. The noise other reviewers refer to doesn't bother me. My only criticism is that you HAVE to have a fairly long extension cord if you want to plug it into your garage outlet and inflate all four tires in one go. I still give it five stars though. I've owned it for 3 years with no problems.

  • WOW!

    By A3RBNGM5C4572Z on 2007-02-16
I was a bit skeptical of the product's performance due to some of the less than stellar reviews. LET ME TELL YOU, if you have a need for a compressor, look no further! Of course, as soon as I received it I unpacked it and put it to the test. I only had a need to top off the air in my tires but with the 18s I have on my car it took literally SECONDS to do so. THe gauge is precise in its readings. Its compact and easily travels from one tire to the next.

Noisy? Come on now. Some reviews actually made it a point to even mention this topic. WHY? It is a compressor, isn't it? My hair dryer makes more noise than this tool!

If you want a compressor that delivers what you need so you can take care of your tires at home instead of at the gas stations (YUCK!) then buy this product and do it without reservation. I sell commercial real estate and have no affiliation with the manufacturer. Its just a great product...BUY NOW!

  • Powerful

    By A1FR68QH6Z4YZM on 2007-01-30
It's much more powerful than the ones you plug into your cigarette lighter socket, that's for sure! It actually weighs and feels like a real air compressor and not some cheap toy. It fills up your tire pretty fast. The only thing I don't like is the short power cord, but just go the the local 98 cent store and get a power cord. This is Bon-Aire model is a good buy!

  • Average Item

    By A14J866630SV6L on 2007-10-24
This is a low quality item. The unit arrived perfectly but was defective. I plugged it in, connected the unit and the air hose leaked air where it connects to the main pump. The unit quickly heated up and barely kept up with it's pin hole leak. The pressure gauges bounces like crazy and the unit is very loud. I did further research and found that these little units are imports sold under various names. I called the manufacturer for parts and they promptly responded that they stock no parts as these are throw away items. My old inflator was a Sears Craftsman that last 15 years and had part availabilty. I promptly returned this unit for refund. Run from this unit and it's look alikes. They are not worth money.

  • Does the job!

    By A1LQIW3S1SL6WK on 2006-12-06
This unit is very effective. I used it to inflate my car tires from 25 to 30 psi. It took approximately 3 seconds per tire. The noise wasn't as loud as I expected, but it does vibrate, as another reviewer mentioned. The only con is that the four screws on the silver cover (on top of the machine) are merely for decorative purposes, as I discovered when the cover popped off, exposing the dried glue that was holding it together. I used a bit of Liquid Nails to bond it back together. Other than that, I am completely satisfied with the performance and accuracy of this product.

  • Operates very Well
    By A7PX2E174YKWE on 2007-05-12
This tire inflator is a very effective tool. It inflates quickly and it is easy to use. For me, the procedure was the following: Unwind the power cored and air hose, place apparatus on the floor, connect power cord to electric source, remove wheel valve stem cap, press inflator adapter onto valve stem, flip adapter lever to locked position, switch on inflator, switch off inflator when indicator reaches desired pressure, switch off inflator and verify actual tire inflation pressure. Completing all of these steps takes only about twice as long as it takes you to read this paragraph.

  • Bon-Aire BA121L 120V Air Compressor/Inflator
    By A3PT4MCSB59FD3 on 2006-09-23
I like this product. Have been using it approx 2 months and am impressed with its speed of inflation. It is a bit noisy but I can live with this. Good product and has my endorsement.

  • Convenience and Control
    By A2H61THSJFP4K9 on 2007-03-08
The Bon-Aire BA121L has proven to be a time saver, although it takes longer to fill car tires in my garage than it does at a service station pump, I can do it when I want, when the tires are cold, and without being "quartered" to death. It is easy to use, lightweight, and not as noisy as I expected. It is worth the cost.

  • Very pleased!!!
    By A3V4MBD7KYKYX8 on 2006-10-21
I purchased this mainly for my car. The instructions and safety precautions were basic and shortly I tried the inflator. Within seconds, it raised the tire pressure from 26 psi to 30 psi. This is a fine machine and recommend it highly.

  • works as advertised
    By A22BNXUCZHPD82 on 2007-05-18
this is a good air compressor.
    works fast.
i like the idea of using 120 volt outlet.
yes, it's loud but same as the one you use at the gas station.
    so, no complain here.

i'm tired of driving to gas station looking for the air compressor.
sometimes the machine is not working.
sometimes the valve head is missing.
ok, don't forget you need a lot of quarters in your pocket and be ready to be Speedy Gonzales!!

  • Best out there for the price: Bon-Aire BA121L 120V Air Compressor/Inflator
    By A2OOJWYVZER0FH on 2007-07-05
I am very pleased with this product. The free shipping from Amazon also was great. The combination of the pump hose and the electric cord that came with this inflator is enough for me to reach all 4 wheels of my car from the convenient A/C outlets located at the front and sides of my garage. It took just seconds to pump up my tire from 20 PSI to around 30 PSI. Now I check the tires on my cars more often while they are cold. I don't have to go to a gas station and pay $0.75 while rushing to pump four tires to avoid paying another $0.75. It is also easy to stow-away and bring with you on the road. I can use the same inverter for my laptop as an A/C source.

  • Good little compressor
    By A3S03DVUVT11JB on 2007-05-23
Compared to the cheapo 12V powered compressor I had before, this is worlds better. It's much faster. Still not quite up to the gas station compressors, but an entirely usable substitute. One of my tires drops about 10PSI per week. It takes about 30 secs to recharge it fully. The meter could have more resolution, but it's OK. I like it.

  • Pure garbage
    By A208464KCHZUV3 on 2007-11-18
Leave it on for more than a couple of minutes and it will burn out. I had two and discovered this the hard way.

  • Gets the job done.
    By AMSS3NANX3HAE on 2006-11-20
Pros: Very fast tire inflation. Good storage of adapters.
Cons: Noisy. Vibrates a lot. Cord storage is just so so.

  • Exactly what I ws looking for...
    By A3150Q7NDV048I on 2007-02-22
This little gem is exactly what I was looking for. It's sturdy and easy to use... absolutely no complaints!

  • Solid compressor for the price
    By A1ZBW6PCLL4NGZ on 2007-06-18
The Bon-Aire BA121L is a good little compressor. It's not overly noisy, so I wouldn't let those type concerns dissuade you from purchasing it. It inflated the rear tire on my motorcycle from flat to 40 psi in about a minute and a half. I wear ear protection while using the compressor, so I barely notice any noise.

The only caveat I will highlight is that the plastic piece that houses the needles is a finger killer. I've torn up two fingers prying this piece off the machine. Be very careful when pulling this cover off.

Other than that, it's a wonderful compressor that won't disappoint you.

  • Nice Little Compressor
    By A2VB7OFC5XJIFP on 2007-04-01
Received it within the time required. Inflates faster than the gas station, Yes, it is a little noisy but that is a small price to pay. Great product so far, do not expect any problems. Thanks Amazon.

  • Bon-Aire Inflator compressor
    By A1K1GD0XYBNYPP on 2007-09-19
I found this to be a good product. A better design and quieter than the Black & Decker air station. I recommend it for tires and small items.
Large items may take a while though.

  • Bon-Aire BA121L 120V Air Compressor/Inflator review
    By A3RUW9N77H4XXO on 2007-11-21
I had used these types of pumps in the past and was not impressed. However, the Bon-Aire BA121L 120V Air Compressor/Inflator was very IMPRESSIVE! It easily inflated several tires of different shapes and sizes. I would recommend this product to anyone in the future and I would certainly purchase another in the future...

  • Lots of Power!
    By A2NGRJMTJTMG3B on 2007-09-29
I've only had this product a couple of months, but I have used it a number of times. I can't believe how quickly it can inflate a nearly flat tire. Some complained about the noise, but I didn't think it was bad at all. Small size makes it easy to store out of the way.
    For the money.... A great buy!Bon-Aire BA121L 120V Air Compressor/Inflator

  • Product Failure
    By AX8GXDQRVSE0P on 2008-03-25
I bought the Bon-Aire BA121L 120V Air Compressor/Inflator in August 2007. I used it once or twice a month since then. On March 23, it heated up and went kaput. I never ran it over 10 minutes at a time, per manufacturer's instructions. Sure hope there is a warranty on the compressor.

  • Junk
    By A1RH4DLC5MXVF3 on 2008-03-30
Sears badge-labels this thing and sells it as a Craftsman product. We
bought one, fired it up to inflate a low tire on a van, and within
3 minutes the unit was smoking. Yes, you read that right, smoking,
as in burning out its motor. Sears took it back without comment.

  • Works well
    By A1W28DD73ZV0QF on 2007-09-28
The advantage of this product is that it enables one to keep automobile tires at their correct inflation. Automobile tires should be checked while cold, not after driving much distance; I have no place nearby my home where I can check the air pressure.

Proper air pressure in tires is essential for safety and good tire life. I know that information because I interviewed tire engineers in my work some years ago.

The product also works really well on my bicycle tires.

  • So Far, So Good
    By A1UQDAL7O8TZMW on 2007-10-27
The item arrived on time and has out performed the one it replaced in terms of noise. These items usually start out well and then perish right around the time the warranty expires. We'll see if this one's any different, but so far it seems just a tad sturdier with a bit less noise and a smoother overall sound than what I'm familiar with. For the price, it's a good deal. I'm happy with my choice (after using it only 5 times in a little less than 2 months.)

  • Just what I was looking for
    By A3D3SMS5RL3SMV on 2007-11-28
For so many years, I have used 12V tire inflators you have to plug into the car, then you have to have your car keys handy to switch on the car's power. Those units take forever to inflate even a couple of pounds.
However, this nice Bon-Aire inflator is quick, easy to use, and I don't have to plug it into my car. Auto tires inflate quickly, and so do bike tires! (Careful on those.)

One complaint I read is valid: The power cord could be longer, but that's a small problem. I have plenty of extension cords laying around. Another complaint I read is NOT valid: The compressor is noisy. Well, it's a compressor pumping large volumes of air at a fast rate. It darn well better be a little noisy if it's doing it's job.

Also, a compliment to Amazon. I ordered this on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and I got it exactly one week later. That's really a delivery time of 4 business days. Nice going, Amazon. Fast delivery even with the holiday, weekend, and free shipping.

  • Bon Aire tire inflator
    By AB2I3D3N7B5Y4 on 2008-02-22
While certainly more powerful than my DC Bon Aire inflator this AC version would have to work pretty hard to fill a tire to 28 lbs in 2 minutes as advertised. I have to wait nearly a minute for it to add just 3 lbs. The air pressure gauge reads a constant 22 lbs. basically non functional. I would not buy another one, nor recommend it.

  • Broke on second use
    By ALX5MNF57YDHS on 2008-04-20
Broke the second time I used it, total time on unit approximately 5 minutes. Thought 120v would pump more volume than 12v units, but my Master Flow MF-1040 is just as quick, and has lasted longer.

  • Worked fine for my purposes-but beware if you have small tires
    By ATFKLBP7YTV4Y on 2007-09-26
I use this compressor to fill the tires on my cars. It works fine for that purpose (espeacially if you have a separate more accurate pressure guage).

However, the fitting is a little bit difficult to attach to the tires on my 2006 Scion Xa. The fitting has a 90 degree bend and a tab that has to be flattened down. Because the design of the rims and size of the tires, it is awkward to get the tab in place. Note that these are NOT specialized tires or rims.

Despite the struggles to get the tab in place, I am satisfied with this product.

  • Good tire inflator
    By A3VYSTEDHIF14Q on 2007-11-26
I have used this product for about 3 months now as a tire inflator for my car (about 1-2 tire inflations peer week), and so far it has performed as expected. It inflates at a reasonable rate but it is, of course, not as fast as the big compressors at gas stations. It takes about 30 seconds to increase the pressure from 20 to 30 PSI, and I have had no problems getting a tight valve fit during inflation. As all comparable compressors it does produce noise and vibrations but not excessively so.

  • Amazing air compressor
    By A2EDGRA4DSZPS0 on 2007-12-01
I bought this a few years ago at a warehouse store, not realizing how great this would be.

It inflates 4 cars' tires in one sitting, that's 16 tires, without any problems.

I've since used cheaper "emergency type" air compressors, as well as the cigarette charged types, and they can barely inflate the tires on just one car, before the motor start to sputter and die from overheating.

This air compressor is a serious tool, and should be a mandatory tool in every auto owner's garage.
