  • Just Get It...You'll Love It!!!

    By AG3XKSY6YWH95 on 2007-06-16
I bought this for my Canon digital camera. The camera shoots photos up to 8Megs and does high-resolution video as well. I originally had a 256MB San Disk SD Card in there because that used to be considered a BIG memory card. It worked fine, but I was constantly pulling it out to dump the photos or videos onto my computer so I could take more. At an event where I was taking lots of photos, I would literally run off to dump the card and I would limit my use of the video since it takes a lot of memory.

I finally bought this Kingston card because I saw it on sale. It works fine as well and I can't tell you how nice it is not to have to constantly be worried about whether I've got enough memory left and will miss a photo or video shot! This thing has so much memory that at times when I'd usually be thinking about dumping the data onto my computer I find I can still take hundreds of photos or lots of video (after all, it's about 10x more memory)! This has really been a big improvement for me and I'm really glad I bought it.

With the price of memory these days this card is extremely affordable. If you're working with anything less and/or ever worry about having enough memory in your camera, I would just go ahead an invest in this. It's really worthwhile!

NOTE: I'm writing here about the plain Kingston 2GB SD card. I've noticed Amazon sometimes groups reviews of similar items so you might see this posted under one of the premium or high-speed Kingston 2GB SD card listings. My only comment is that I've never noticed any significant lag or delay using this in my digital camera for either photos or video. If it's there compared to the premium cards, I can't tell the difference. This includes when there are few photos on the card and when the card is almost full. YMMV.

  • Reliable Performace + Great Price!

    By A2013JDMPUV6D9 on 2007-09-13
This review is for the Kingston 2GB Secure Digital Memory Card (SD/2GB). I received this memory card free as a bonus from Amazon when I bought my digital camera, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8K. I have been putting this chip through its paces for weeks now and I have to say it holds a LOT of pictures and is extremely reliable. I have not had any issues with my camera loading images into the memory nor have I had any problems pulling them back out onto my pc. For around 20 bucks, this is a fantastic memory card at a great price... I highly recommend this product!

  • Great Product, Great Price

    By AZ0JU4PXHA49P on 2007-04-10
What can I say, this is a memory card, it has a ton of space for digital camera usage, and it works exactly like it's supposed to. My camera takes better than 1 picture per second at over 4MB/picture and there doesn't seem to be any lag as a result of the memory card. I highly recommend this product.

  • Excellent Card So Far

    By A2MRUWYOJDIDRJ on 2007-07-08
I just bought this card for my Canon SD1000. When I popped in my card to see how many pictures it would hold, I was surprised how many it would store. So far, it has worked well and seems to be quick for my purposes. I have Kingston compact flash cards and I have not had any problems with them.

  • Great Price For This Card!

    By A37F6A018ATPJP on 2007-06-25
I've shopped around at the "brick and mortars" and this was the best price I found for a 2GB SD card. My local Super WalMart had a no brand name 1GB card for the $19.99. Great for everyday usage (I use this primarily for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7, A GREAT CAMERA FOR THE PRICE!).

  • great product for great price
    By A31288H7DZPR3K on 2007-04-10
It works realy great, I red some other reviews before buying this product and I can only say that this product is preaty fast and does realy works and for the price I paid its even more than enought to say that its just awsome. great delivery time.

  • Priced right, works great
    By A1YWOOC82SQEXI on 2007-03-26
I bought this 2GB Kingston Secure Digital memory on Amazon for about $13 (in March 2007), which I believe is a great price. The only thing I was worried about was the quality, but so far, it has worked great in my Canon A460. The videos look great and pics are great too. No complains. Big smile.

  • Be CAREFUL when purchase from this page.
    By A1UYTORR02R2MJ on 2008-03-27
Amazon made a horrible mistake, they gather the reviews from all kinds of kingston SD in one page. so when u look at Kingston 2GB SD, u will be surprised ! that it is being ranked 4.5 stars and people are speaking about its high speed even it has a 1.5 MB/Sec write speed! these high ranking comes from Kingston 2GB Ultimate !!!! I was fooled by this. So be CAREFUL, the reviewers here are speaking about totally different products.

  • I Would Get a Different Card...
    By ATTWLOFDLQTSF on 2007-11-01
I bought this SD Card for my Canon S3 IS no more than a month ago, and it doesn't work anymore. It lasted for a very short period of time, I took care of it, kept it in my camera, but when I went to take pics, it said "Memory Card Error" I do not recommend this card to anyone who is looking for a decent card. I would go with a ScanDisk in the future. I hope this helps you guys.

  • Geat Deal!
    By APGKXDODANKJR on 2007-04-14
This card is great! It works really well in one of my mp3 players, and in my digital camera. I switch cards all the time between my electronics, and this card seems to hold up from my computer to any device. For 2GB, this price can't beat it. Other brands are twice as much for less memory. I recommend this card.

  • This is the slowest of the three Kingston Cards
    By AF3YVGXZUYR2Q on 2007-12-08
This card is rated UP TO 5MB read, UP TO 1.5 MB write. Kingston SD Elite Pro offers 8.2MB read, 7.7MB write. Kingston SD Ultimate offers 21 MB read, 18MB write. Compare costs and know what you are getting for your dollar.

  • Dissatisfied
    By A30LBMB6WL8V6Z on 2008-12-28
I bought this memory card in conjunction with a digital frame as a Christmas present for my Mom. I spent days loading hundreds of pictures onto this card, and when I went to put it into the frame, discovered it was corrupt. It erased the hard drive of the digital frame, and erased everything I spent precious time creating on the memory card. I do not reccommend it at all.

I gave it one star because I had to, but it doesn't even deserve that.

  • Good option
    By AGPM4J46175C8 on 2007-06-21
Kingston is a trusted brand. This card works well but not super fast in saving the photos. But, good enough for me. Good purchase for the price.

  • Two cards died within a month of purchase
    By AKY7AZV7TJXD4 on 2007-05-20
I purchased two of these cards for use with my Sony 700SD IS camera. Within a month, both were completely dead. I have had no such problem with Sandisk or PNY cards. To make matters worse, Kingston denied my mail-in rebates for these cards.

These cards are cheaper than others for a reason. Do yourself a favor and buy a better brand. Saving a few bucks on these isn't worth losing pictures.

  • beware shipping and handling costs
    By A2NYEJHRZ69QV3 on 2009-08-29
product is as described. I ordered 2 of these and was required to pay shipping and handling fees for each, and then the shysters I ordered from shipped them both in the SAME envelope for ONE shipping cost to them. They at a minimum, should indicate that they will do that, or ship separately if they charge you for it. I contacted the seller about this, and their response was a form letter completely unrelated to my complaint. Will not order from them again.

  • Not worth the lower price. Sandisk the best.
    By A1YZEEDWCHXZUU on 2008-07-04
Kingston 2GB SD card worked at first for about several hundred photos. It stills works in the camera. But now my computer card reader does not recognize it. My other much older Sandisk SD cards can still be read.

  • Simply works as intended *Kindle Compatible*
    By A9AOT6YG6W6B4 on 2008-04-02
I bought this for my Kindle and it works perfectly. I really can't give you more than that, as the nature of this SD card is either it works or it does not.

  • Can't beat the price for reliable photo storage
    By A2286T941V74QV on 2008-03-03
I purchased this SD card with a Canon A720IS camera based on price and advertised features. After a few months' use I can say it's been reliable and has stored many photos and even videos without any problems. I don't know why other brands sell for more when this Kingston card seems first rate.

  • Dynamite in a small package!
    By A36ANK4SBBGU2H on 2008-01-05
Works just as you'd think...huge storage capacity and problem-free so far.

GREAT value for the tiny price!

  • Kingston 2GB Secure Digital Memory Card
    By A1326MW13NY8HJ on 2008-01-01
Kingston 2GB Secure Digital Memory Card (SD/2GB, Retail Package)

Kingston is a fine brand for memory and this SD card is no exception.

I'm pleased to have the 2 GB for use with my new Lumix digital camera that I also obtained through Amazon.

The ease by which I was able to review the available memory options for the camera, as well as the association provided on the Amazon site for the digital camera made the selection and purchase quite easy.

  • 2gb kingston SD used for digital camera
    By AER3WIM0DD5V6 on 2007-12-12
This memory card works great. I have been using it for only three weeks but it seems to be consistant. It writes fast without problems. There was one video 20 mintes long I took with my digital camera that I could not copy onto my hard drive from my camera. I dont know if it was corupt or if it was my computer. My friend used his card reader to read the video and copy it to hard disk. I reccomend buying this card.

  • Works great in my JVC Everio camcorder
    By A2PYS280Q1UH7V on 2007-12-05
Records even at the Everio's highest quality setting.

    Well worth the money.

  • Good but not fast enough!
    By A1HVHVZS12UOZU on 2007-11-24
I've used Kingston products before and they are as reliable as any other brand. No issues so far. My only irritant is that it slow to write when taking a high resolution photo.

It handles Meduim resolution photo's without any delays. Then again everything depends on the megapixel rating of your camera. I use it on a 7.1 MP Canon and its slow only in super fine mode. It handles most night time photo's quickly too only in fine or medium settings. I tend to take most photo's in high resolution so I can zoom in and crop out area's I dont need. Will need to invest in a High speed SD card for those photo's :)

  • Good Card for the price but .. it seems to loose some images
    By A3ERF8BNGDYR6T on 2007-07-17
I suspect it is the card, that gives me the message "Unidentified Image" . I have a brand new G7 and this card records video and photo files with no problem. Just in some cases it seem to loose some photos. I reformatted it a couple of times , no improvement. I find it is still a good card for the price .. Just take a couple more shots and you will be allright !

  • Kingston 2gb SD card
    By A3U29PWREBYVTY on 2007-07-07
Bought this because it was a good deal and I'm happy with my purchase. No complaints here. Although it's just a SD card and there are many out there that function just as well, this card does the job well.

  • Great Card.
    By A3PW6RWR1FMUC3 on 2007-07-04
I bought two of these because I'm going to Vegas in a couple of months. I've tested them out, and they work great.

  • Great Price
    By A2VQX1EYYPT67Q on 2007-04-03
This 2GB card is really worth it. It is what I call a steal of a deal. The price is the best on the net so far when you include the shipping charges. If you need one go for it.

  • Kingston 2GB SD card
    By AX74UIXWRAR83 on 2007-03-08
I am planning on taking an extended vacation and need to be able to store lots of photos until I return home. My camera only holds 6 images at the 7.1 mbyte resolution. The Kingston SD card expands camera memory to 428 images and can be easily swapped with extra cards. Now I won't have to worry about running out of space. Compared to other retaliers and brands, the Kingston 2GB SD card is a great buy and excellent price.

  • good inexpensive SD card
    By AXKLJT4MT1TWK on 2007-02-17
I have had no problems with this SD card. It swaps between my PDA, my camera, my GPS and my computer easily. I've never had one fail me yet. The csse is sturdy and is able to be locked to preserve your data. At the prices I see online and in stores, it's a good bargain.

  • Great Bargian!
    By ABTJHXNZEEUJX on 2007-02-16
