Great fun for babies and toddlers! By A39YALCMZM8UMG on 2006-11-04
My son has had this toy since he was 6 months old (He is 17 months now). We recently had to remove the legs from it, as he learned at 11 months to climb on top of it and then onto whatever was nearby, so beware if you have a climber!
Otherwise he was very entertained by the many sights and sounds on this toy. I really liked the fact that you can remove the legs. When he was a baby we left the legs off so he could play on the floor with it, and then when he was cruising and walking we could put the legs back on to keep him entertained. There's music and words and things to spin and flip open - so much to keep little hands and ears busy. A good toy for a baby that will last into toddlerhood.
Fun for more ages than you might think By A1Z9N4UIO9PVOB on 2007-03-11
I got this toy for 9-month-old twins, but I was suprised to find that two to five-year-olds are also amused by it. I would not buy it specifically for older children, but if your baby has older siblings, this will be a hit with them as well.
It can become a hazard once your child is able to climb. It can become a stepping stool onto higher, dangerous places (like bookshelves and toy cabinets).
Other than that, it is a fantastic toy. There is a variety of music in there, so it is not as annoying for parents as some other electronic toys. It is also very sturdy. Ours has been through some serious abuse (it has even gotten soaked in the rain) and it still works well. Despite all the keys and buttons, it is fairly easy to clean.
One of her favorites By ACDU5YGSYPC2O on 2007-08-17
My daughter can't even stand yet and she loves this toy. I usually pull her bumbo seat up to it or hold her sitting or standing while she pounds away. This toy is advised for older babies but she has been using it since 4 mos. She is now 6 mos and still can't operate all of the gadgets by herself but she sure does love to try.
The only one worth getting By A1CY5ISF2ZWO45 on 2006-07-02
My mom bought this table and I bought a Fisher Price table. The kids love the Leap Frog Table and hate the Fisher Price one. The Leap Frog one is awesome! It has two options, words or music. So for the little ones to whom words don't mean much, you can use the music reinforcement and my toddler (age 2) likes the word option now. Great for around age 8 months when they start pulling up to stand. Love Love Love this table.
Beware of stepping stool use! By A1DWBZKHE96R5M on 2006-11-21
I have this product for my child and my best friend also purchased it for her children. Although this product is great if you have children that are starting to pull up as it has great educational value, once children are walking it doesn't take them long to realize this product can be stood on to reach objects that were probably deliberatly put out of reach. Therefore, this product can't be used for long before it has to be taken away for safety reasons. Before this it was a great entertainer but I reccomend the learn-around playground by leapfrog instead. It has much of the same educational and musical features (and then some) and cannot be stood on.
- table slides easily across the floor when little one stands with it
     By A1MRD6TIID97OP on 2007-07-11
I think my 9 month old would enjoy the toy itself, but we are returning it since the whole table moves easily when he pulls up on it - he can push it around our fully carpeted floor like a walker! I called Leap Frog to ask if we were missing any attachments for the legs, and apparently, this is just how it's made. They suggested I glue rubber strips to the feet but then of course, I can't return it. They claim no one else has had this problem, but honestly, he already fell once in the first few minutes I had it out of the box. He's very stable at standing, but can't be using something like this to stand next to if it will move with just the slightest pressure. I can't imagine how slippery this would be on a wood or tile floor.
- We love this toy!

My daughter just got this for her first birthday and she loves it! Everything you touch on this table makes a noise - we especially love the trombone and the banjo. As you flip the pages to the "book" in the middle of the table, the songs and the sounds change. There are lots of movable parts for the kids to play with - the slide on the trombone moves, there is a slide on the violin, the banjo has a lever to pull, there is a barrel to roll, pages of the book to turn, shapes to press, and a compartment to open. It is very colorful and very sturdy, too. I would DEFINTELY reccomend this toy!
- Absolutely wonderful toy
     By AR1QSGYRSTNSX on 2007-10-19
We first saw this at our pediatrician's waiting room. My baby was instantly attracted to all of the buttons and moveable objects. So we bought and could not be happier. It provides so much for them to do. He quickly learned how to switch between the two modes, music and words. The little open/close compartment is great for improving finger dexterity, we put balls, blocks, etc inside that he would then fish out. It was the first toy he would head to when he woke up. He would happily push, pull, and turn things, and dance to the music for half an hour before he moved to the next toy. Pretty much the perfect toy.
- Excellent toy

Outstanding learning toy...I can see how this will be fun for my son for a long time. He is 11 mos. and is using it to improve cruising skills. Even with a short attention span, he is quick to return to the table shortly after he leaves it to play with something else. He is utterly fascinated by it. It is fun for parents and kids, as the music and verbal material is very pleasant to listen to. The added bonus is that it teaches Spanish, which helps his bilingual training. It is has a very nice "ABC" song in Spanish, with a pleasant sounding female voice for the Spanish mode. It will also sing in soprano "blueeee" or "azuuuuul" (spanish for blue), when the kid presses the blue key on the piano. This is all when it is verbal teaching mode. When u put it in musical mode, it just rocks out, playing all kinds of instrumentals. As an amateur musician, I really got a kick out how sophisticated this equipment is. For example, there are a circle, square, and triangular buttons which sound like very intricate conga drum solos when u press them in music mode, and in verbal mode, it will say "yellow...circle" and obviously the same in Spanish mode. Very nice piece of equipment that will surely have your child entertained and learning. I look forward to seeing him evolve with this and become a little Herbie Hancock, as he learns to manipulate the different sounds instead of pressing things randomly, kinda like a little DJ! Buy this one. Well worth it.
- Great toy

My son starting playing with this toy at 6 months old (with the legs off), he is now 16 months and still loves it more than any other toy. He loves the music and often dances along. He enjoys all of the various knobs and levers and can play with it for 15-20 minutes. I highly recommend this toy to anyone.
- A big hit!
     By A2CI6V1XZ8QIMO on 2006-11-17
My 10-month-old son loves his musical table. Not only does it help him as he learns to stand, he's really interested in the variety of musical buttons and other "gadgets" on the table. We recently had a group of about 10 babies the same age over to play, and the Learn & Groove was the big hit -- they were all fascinated and entertained by this much longer than they were with other toys.
- Very entertaining!!
     By AIPNUYA9X3K2W on 2007-02-03
My daughter got this for Christmas and it's one of her favorite toys! We started out with the legs off but we recently put them back on as she is starting to pull herself up. It's very sturdy and there is tons of gadgets for her to play with. She really likes turning the pages and opening and shutting the green lid. We really enjoy this toy!
- Entertaining
     By A3SKS90VP7WDZA on 2006-07-25
Although the recommended age is 18 months and up, my son is only 12 months and he enjoys it. He cannot walk YET and is still cruising around everywhere. He loves walking around this toy and pushing on all the buttons etc.
- Worth every penny...
     By A2DXSHJN7HJMF5 on 2007-06-07
This is one of the more expensive activity tables out there, but it's worth the extra money! It has so many words and songs... and it's *gasp* not annoying like so many other noisy toys out there. The low volume is actually low, not "less loud" like on some toys. It has a lot of various activities like something to flip, spin, push, open, close, slide, hit... enough to keep your young one busy for quite some time. And, because it's Leap Frog, it's got that extra dose of educational interest. It's in spanish and english, which is great. It also teaches up & down, open & closed, lights on & light off, high & low, green, red, yellow, blue, circle, square & triangle... as well as the ABC's. This thing is packed full of fun and will provide many years of play.
My only problem is that when this toy is on the lightweight plastic legs it can be a bit top heavy. When my son was learning to pull up to standing I put it on the legs thinking "hey, great motivation," but he pulled it over onto himself a few times. Because it's so heavy it really whacked his face pretty hard... so I had to take it off the legs until he was standing without having to pull up on something so strongly. Also, when he was going completely crazy and pulling and spinning and turning the book page all within seconds of each other the toy did jam. The lights froze and the music kind of went "bleeeh". Sometimes it took a few minutes of turning it off for it to snap back to normal.
Otherwise, a great toy. I highly suggest it.
- Good for 6-12
     By AZEGYMSKGI1UK on 2006-10-21
My son is 11 months and is not as interested anymore but it was his favorite for about 3-4 months. It works good for balance, just be careful early on- can tip over when child is getting up.
- noisy toy
     By A15H9AV9WM3ZON on 2007-01-09
while the toy has many possibilities for years of enjoyment, the noise level is uncomfortably high. I would never buy this toy if I had known how annoying and ear busting it would be...dont' buy it...
- Fun Even for You!
     By ASDIUF0SHMRLF on 2007-02-01
We recieved this as a gift for Christmas. At first, our son was a little shy of the lights and noises. But now, he loves opening and closing the storage box and loves turning the pages, listening to the music change. I also really enjoy this toy! The music is very catchy, but not annoying like most other children's toys. The ABC song is really fun, as well as the way they count. And the Spanish version is just an added bonus(We haven't experimented much with that yet, our son is only 6 months). He is not standing yet, so the table top is balanced on cubes, so he can sit real close and play with everything at once. This really is a great product, and I look forward to watching our son grow into everything on it!
- GREAT TOY!
     By A1FLIT578I0Q78 on 2007-02-26
I have a 9 month old daughter, and she absolutely loves this toy! She can spend so much time playing with it, and it definitely keeps her attention more than any other toy. I also have 2 friends with an 11 month old and a 13 month old, and they also love it. I wish I had purchased one when my 3 year old was younger, although she also enjoys playing with it now.
- Great in more ways than one!
     By A1Z0G839GFHWTX on 2007-03-03
We gave this to our 11 month old daughter. We wondered if it was a little young for her. Wrong. She loves it. She plays the music and dances. She likes switching between the learning and music. The container is a great place to put little snacks like Cheerios also. She knows she can open it and get a snack if she wants. She's 13 months old and still going strong with this toy.
- definitely a must have
     By A122OY6XVHKSJG on 2006-12-13
I saw this on a magazine's "hot list" or something and ordered it, then I notice everybody with a child has one and now I see why! My son loves this. He can stand up on his own with it, first when I used to have to help him stand up and now when he can pull himself up by himself. It has a LOT of activities on it and best of all two volume levels. He will stand up with this for a good 20 minutes at a time. It is absolutely perfect. And if your baby has just learned to sit up on his own and you are uncomfortable having him stand, you can easily snap the legs off and let him play with the table top right on the floor. It is by far a must have and it will last a long time.

     By A12KR4OJ22C3TR on 2007-01-09
I purchased this for my 11 month old grandson. He LOVES it! It keeps him busy while learning for hours. The heigth is perfect because he is just starting to walk and it has helped him keep his balance while standing still. I would highly recommend this to others.
- Baby's Favorite
     By A2PJLYQIVKF4R on 2007-02-20
I have had this now for five months and my 14 month old still loves it! The music makes her dance especially the alphabet song. The best part is that the music doesn't drive me nuts as many of the other baby toys do - it is better from a musical standpoint. It also helped her stand and begin to "cruise" before walking.
- KEEPS MY DAUGHTER OCCUPIED FOR HOURS!
     By A1BOJC49CDF3NK on 2007-06-17
My daughter received this for her 1 year old birthday and she LOVES it! It is her favorite toy out of all the ones she received. It teaches not only musical notes, instruments and the musical scale but also has another option for letters and numbers. My daughter can play with this for almost an hour by herself, and then comes back for more later on! She is so delighted with this table because it is so easy to do things herself; whereas some other toys have buttons that are harder to push, etc. I don't even mind all the noise this toy makes; I find myself singing the tunes sometimes! Great overall and A+++! The best birthday present ever!
- Baby loves it!
     By A21IKBF1ASLB4G on 2007-07-02
I bought this toy for my baby boy when he was just under 11 months old. The day care he attends had the same toy and it looked both durable and fun for him. Turns out that he loves it! When I dropped him off at day care this morning he was playing with the LeapFrog table and when I picked him up he was playing with it as well. Then, when we got home, he spotted it and wanted to play some more! This toy can keep him entertained for 20 or 30 minutes at a time. It is quite durable and the legs remove easily for younger babies to play while sitting or for transporting. My only cautionary comment is that a baby learning to pull up and stand, as he was when we first got it, can pull the toy over onto himself fairly easily. Overall, a great educational and fun toy for an almost-one-year-old!
- So much fun!
     By A3KXRVE9E1E532 on 2006-12-01
My son (12 months) has this toy over at his grandparents' house. He loves all the different songs and actions that it has to offer. Seems like there's never a dull moment with this thing, so many different ways to play with it. His favorite right now seems to be opening and closing the little door on there. I have yet to see anything that I can complain about with this toy!
- Fantastic toy!
     By A2SHIV1A7F6NDC on 2006-12-11
Love it! Nothing bad to say about it. So you hafta watch out for toddlers climbing. You have to watch them so they don't climb EVERYTHING in the house anyway right?? The leg removal feature is perfect for babies, or storage. The voice of the singer in this toy is very nice, unlike some toys where the voice is annoying. I highly recommend this toy!!
- Love it!!!!
     By A2N9M2NOHZE2BF on 2007-01-09
My 8 month old loves this table. The music is Jazzy and fun and I can only imagine he will learn a great deal too as it teaches the alphabet, numbers and some key words in English and Spanish. Great purchase!
- Great Product
     By A2ON6D8AAISWQ2 on 2007-01-16
We bought this for our 10month old. She absolutly loves the lights, and music. She even dances when the banjo plays. It definatly has helped her legs become strong. We noticed that sence she has had it, she tries to stand up on her own, and walks along the couch more frequent(we haven't even had it a month yet). The only downfall to this product, it sucks the life out of batteries like no other. It's still worth every penny, and battery..
- good toy, but tippy!
     By A3JCB6GOFM69F5 on 2007-01-17
My 9 month old daughter loves this table. At first only for about 2 minutes, but now she plays with it for at least 15, which seems like a long time now that she is crawling and pulling up all day long. My only problem is it isn't stury enough for when they pull up on it. It toppled over onto her one time, didn't hurt her luckily but it could have. Otherwise it is a great entertaining toy that I need to watch her with. She loves the music and she recently has learned to bounce up and down to dance when the music comes on. I like the music on it too, some toys are so annoying but this one has the blues, banjo, piano, learning and more.
- Great Toy for 6 Months Onward!
     By A3KH47OZCAYUJA on 2007-01-20
This was the "big" toy from Mommy and Daddy that our (then) six-month-old got for Christmas. It is wonderful! We had read the other reviews, and so have taken two legs off, so it she can easily reach the different activities while sitting. A month ago, she was just flipping the "book" page back and forth, and spinning the shaker. Now, she is doing that, and moving the banjo, and opening-and-closing, and opening-and-closing, the little green door, and kicking the piano keys (and hitting them with her stuffed animal, too). She enjoys all the different things to do, and the sounds of the toy, and Mommy and Daddy like the great variety of music -- so far, it hasn't been annoying at all, which is a great feat! We have never turned the volume to high, because that seems a little too loud, but the fact that it has a volume control is wonderful. We all love this toy! (It got me to write my first Amazon review in years!)
UPDATE: She's now 21 months, and she's still playing with this. She's figured out how to turn it on herself, and has started identifying the characters in the book, and likes to flip the banjo so it plays its numerous songs and have a parent or grandparent help her sing the song. That's both good and bad -- it would be nice, sometimes, to be able to play the full song, but on the other hand, the wide variety means that it doesn't get monotonous for Mom and Dad. I still think it's a great toy for little ones.
