Don't Waste Your Money By A3SDCX65FWZLFI on 2006-06-27
Pros
* Fits like a glove (goes without saying)
* Um... Peace of mind?
Cons
* This case makes pushing the buttons harder than it already is.
* There is nothing to protect the screen.
* If you're left-handed (or like to operate gadgets with your left hand) note that it is impossible to push the Menu button. It would take a double-jointed freak of nature to comfortably push it.
* The case is a dust and hair magnet. Every time you pull it out of your pocket, it's encrusted with lint you didn't even know you had. Dust manages to sneak under every surface, and hair magically sticks to it. This case is a DNA-sample paradise for forensic experts.
One of the features of a flash-based memory player is the fact that they won't break as easily when you drop them. Unless you're paranoid about getting scratches on your shiny new Sansa, don't buy this.
Everything sticks to it By ASPD1SEAUUV90 on 2006-08-25
I bought this case because it was cheap but I haven't used it because dirt and cat hair just CLING to this case. The case doesn't even have a clip so it's pretty much useless. Yes it will protect your player, sort of but it bulks it up when you have to carry it in your pocket. I bought the DLO Action Jacket for the Sansa SanDisk e200 series which protects the screen and has a clip and armband. The DLO case is the way to go!!!!
Shop around first!! By A2R0XUHP17SV0 on 2006-11-18
Go to the Sandisk website, they have huge list of cases that you can buy. They range from a ruggedized rubber case to the Griffin Disko which is clear, covers the screen and has flashing LEDs embedded in it. Lots of choices to pick from, take a look before purchasing this one.
Piece of crap By AMAYLAX7DVW2O on 2006-06-22
Don't buy this piece of crap case. It is a flimsy piece of silicone with no plastic face to really protect the item.
The carrying case that comes with the unit is fine.
It helps, but it isn't the best By A3FP43Q7LEOAXH on 2006-09-14
Will it help if the player falls to the ground?
Probably.
Does it have a way to attach to a carrying case, armband, etc? NO
Is the price worth it?
It depends, B&M stores it costs $12-$15, Amazon much less
Would I buy again?
NO, I would get another type of protector that has an armband, or other way to carry my E260
- Not the best case
     By A3QAA5JIKFTHG6 on 2006-12-20
I bought this as an amazon recommendation but have found it to cause build-up of static electricity, causing the mp3 player to skip. For instance, the silicone can build-up static on the fabric of your car seat or the lining of a jacket pocket, so much so that tapping on the back or flicking the cover will cause an audible skip, just like a CD player. I found the most difficulty waiting on a train in Chicago, where electricty is high, but once I removed the silicone case the skipping stopped. Look for another, more protective case.
- Great case for the SANSA e200 series.
     By A28I873V29MHAB on 2006-05-26
Sturdy and flexible - but the price is the real winner. You won't find this anywhere close to $5.95 on any other site.
- Does what its suppose to do
     By AENAAOJB5Y37F on 2006-10-04
Yes its a dust magnet but I don't have to worry about dropping or scratching it when putting it down. I've been using these rubber skins since the 3rd gen Ipod. It doesnt add that much width to the player and it doesnt get in the way when going for the buttons (anymore than the rotary dial does). it fits nice and tight just add a piece of screen protector film and your set.
PS - You may as well buy it from Amazon as they have the best price. Everywhere else its 15 bucks. Order it when you order the player or you'll spend another week waiting for the rubber skin
- Mine looks different from the one pictured
     By A3QPNIG445MUJT on 2006-11-14
I don't usually write reviews on here, but I thought I should since this product seems to have a bad rap. I ordered mine through "Speedyretailer" through Amazon. I think they were like $3.50 or something and shipping was more than the actual product. I got them and they are actually more than I expected from reading the reviews on here. I find it easier to hit the buttons now, but mine are different than the one pictured. The Silicone on mine covers the buttons and has the buttons stamped on it and you just press through the silicone. I find it much easier even though I was getting used to manuvering and clicking the buttons. It fits perfectly and yes it collects a little crud on it, but it is silicone...DUH! It's not too hard to wipe off. It even comes with a belt hook you can install or keep off. I'm totally satisfied.
- good and bad
     By ADXFH771BXVZL on 2006-11-10
The case fits like a charm but there is no screen protector and because its silicone, everything is sticking to it and is hard to remove those bits of stuff.
- Nice protection for your Sansa E250
     By A15QO2XAOB80MH on 2006-11-11
I like this small cage. It is Made of a soft material to avoid scratchs. 4 Stars because do not protect your Sansa E250 screen. Anyways, it is cheap and I recomend the gray because it fits with the rest of the device. If You use this cage you can not use the original soft little bag that comes with the mp3. Just so you know!
- Find a Better One
     By A2R32ATTLYXJYL on 2006-12-30
I bought this to keep the Sansa from getting banged up. Since this is the reason I purchased the product, I'll give it 2 stars. That is about all it does. Other reviewers have covered the other shortfalls- static build up, covering controls, etc. I was lucky to get mine for a really low price, or I'd be more disappointed. Spend a couple bucks more and get a better case, I know I'm going to.
- Nice Product!
     By A1ZLTID8B02B9K on 2007-01-18
The Sansa e200 Silicon Case does it's job. It's awesome compared to similar products - keeps the sansa from sliding around in the car, keeps scratches away etc., easy to put on and off, pretty much indestructible. Only disadvantage about it is the look - it takes the originally noble and shiny look from the sansa. some might also find that it is a little bit harder to reach the buttons - i didn't have this experience myself.
- Waste
     By A25RBTH83A5KMF on 2007-03-27
Bought for fear of my screen getting scratched. No screen protection, not even a sheet of plastic. Plus, you have to jam the player in through the screen hole, after which the whole thing is stretched out of shape.
If it were worth my time to return this, I would.
- DO NOT BUY
     By A2BHRAF803FNBR on 2007-03-02
I agree with some of the buyers. This item is a waste of money. I dropped it on my rug, went to pick it up and it was all dirty. I would love to return it but unfortunatley I can't.
- Its alright i guess
     By A1HSHSGDHFR1NY on 2007-04-05
When i first got my sansa in july it was about the only thing around so i had to get it. Its an alright case but theres no screen protection or armband or belt clip atachment. i would say invest 5 more dollars into a better product.
- It works
     By A3N8GJ2EYQ7NN5 on 2007-01-11
NOt Much to say, but it works for what it is intended for. biggest problem is it makes it hard to use the selection dial and arrow tabs because of its thickness, but thats kinda a good thing too.
IT protects the unit, and it protects it from accidental selection of the selection dial
- Good way to protect your sansa
     By A15BFJBHMM2IAO on 2007-01-12
this item gets the job done i just wish there were more styles and designs would be nice too
- good skin for my MP3
     By A1L8UY5T5LX2FY on 2007-01-12
I am pleased with the product for the price. fits perfectly. quality is good. appearance is good.
- Inexpensive protection for your Sandisk
     By ABNI7Z61A82R4 on 2007-02-22
I have no complaints with this easy-to-use mp3 protector. I guess I have less lint in my pockets than some of the other reviewers, because my case never has stuff stuck to it. And it does a great job of protecting the mp3 player from drops, bumps and/or random splashes of rain or liquid. The only down side is there is no protector for the screen. However, you can buy film to put over the screen itself quite easily at places like Radio Shack.
- a cheap and effective way to protect your mp3 player
     By A6XTJGVJDSVHA on 2007-02-23
well, if you have an mp3 player that you paid 100some $s for, it makes sense to buy this cover to protect it :)
- Have dust on your floor? Here is a way to pick it up!!
     By A31PDMOQVKHGK1 on 2007-03-01
IT IS A DUST MAGNET!!!! I bought it and said "it cant be to much of a dust magnet" WRONG. It is a cheap vacuum cleaner ( why isnt it with the Vacuum stuff)I still gave it 2 stars because it protected the player, but not the screen (that should be the most protected Right?)Not much of a choice for covers for your sansa inless you spend more money. The case that comes with the sansa works better then this piece of junk, and its free. DO NOT BUY THIS, trust me!!!!!!
- good

- It is a must for any Sansa player
     By A2XR6HU1CT4CNJ on 2007-03-08
It fits perfectly and protects the player especialy when used in the Gym or any sports activity. I like it and it is worth the money.
- Great for the right kind of user.
     By A2DNOD4QNXJ6TO on 2007-05-18
I wanted something that wouldn't "bulk up" my sansa too much (I like it's small size), but I am prone to dropping things so I wanted a little more protection for it.
I have dropped it a few times and it's faired much better than my son's (who didn't want to have a cover).
Sure it is good at attracting every bit of lint/hair etc., but it also gives a little more grip in the hand and on other surfaces (i.e. my car dashboard/treadmill).
The buttons are a little harder to press, but you are buying this to protect your sansa (buttons and all). An in truth when you get used to it there's no problem.
The only real negatives (from my point of view) is that it does make it bulker than I wanted, although only a little and it's not too bad. Also there's no cut out for the microSD card slot , but since I'm not using one currently, it's not a problem, and when I do...a little adjustment with a knife or scissors will fix that!
- Meh... it's a cover.
     By A183MURAHD7WKT on 2006-11-08
Gets in the way of the buttons. I don't use it. Not to mention that it picks up all kinds of lint and garbage on it.
- Second Skin
     By AX8CYV7R9VYPL on 2006-11-10
A nice snug fit. Provides a good layer of protection. The only downside is trying to use it with armbands. Most other holders (such as armband holders) are too tight to allow you to leave this on, so you need to take it off to use the other holder. The problem with armband holders pretty much stopped me from continueing to use it. If that won't be a problem, than I'd say its a great second skim to protect the player.
- good case for the money
     By A12YLUCFN1I854 on 2006-11-10
This is a great case. It would be better if it had the plastic that covered the screen.
- I LOVE IT
     By AY18G8RZJZSU on 2006-12-13
I dont know what all of those other people are talking about cuz mine is GREAT nothing sticks to mine! The only thing is is that it does have a screen protector but other than that I LOVE IT!!
- Worth the Money
     By A71SWZGQ58XQE on 2007-01-05
This cover fits great on my sandisk player. Does not have a front display cover. I bought PDA screen covers online, cut to size of my MP3 display, now I have good protection.
