Pirates of the Caribbean Pirates Dice: A Game of High Seas Deceptionx$12.44
    (14 reviews)
Best Price: $19.95 $12.44
Arghh - never trust a pirate! The dice don't lie, but you might have to in this fun, fast-paced dice game of trickery and deceit. It's the classic bluffing game of liar's dice, as played in the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean." Includes 4 pirate cups featuring the skull and crossbones movie logo, plus 20 skull and crossbones dice. For 2-4 players.

Man! I've never seen my mom lie like this! By on 2006-12-03
This game is a great family game! You have to try to find a way to lie without being noticed. It might be just a dice game, but it's more original than any dice games I ever played. If you want to lie to your family, (without dishobeying the family rules) this is the game 4 u.
A Pirate Be 'Ye? By on 2007-01-01
This game is superb! It's shorter than a board game, but longer than a hand of cards. The details on the dice and cups are great. The dice are even molded to look worn and scratched. My only complaint is the price. I paid almost $20 for it at my local Barnes and Nobles and was disappointed to see it sold with the chess and checkers for $30, as the chess was just shy of $40. Though this game appears simple, it's intriguing. It kept my attention for sure, where at 14, I get somewhat bored with board games! (No Pun Intended (-: )
Arg! There be liars here. By AE77VVIE8JJPZ on 2007-01-11
I bought this game for my nephew and the entire family loved it. They insisted that we buy another so more people could play. The trouble is that I could not find another game on the store shelves after christmas, so I had to order online. I highly recommend this game to everyone.
A Very Good Liars' Dice Game By A3EIXID81KYE1S on 2007-08-15
Liars' Dice sets are usually very expensive. This one has a great price for the quality of product. The cups are not leather - but are moulded plastic. This isn't a big issue - they feel good in the hand.
Overall - a great value.

This is a fun game. Better with four players. We first played this on New Years Eve and had trouble finding the game because it was so popular and sold out everywhere. Its easy to learn and fun for parties.
- Excellent for an alternative game
     By A2W1LXVZSYJZ87 on 2007-05-20
During my tenure in the US Navy, we played a similar gambling game called "Ship, Captain, Crew." The game uses the same pieces but is played differently. Each player antes up and whoever rolls the highest die goes first. You get three rolls of 5 dice... you have to get the ship (6), the Captain (5) and the crew (4) in that order. The remaining two die make the point. Whomever has the highest point in the end wins. If the point ties, then everyone antes again into the existing pot and the game is played again starting with the last person who rolled, (providing that they anted up). You can also find the rules online with a better explanation.
- A teen's Review!

This is a really fun game to play with your family and friends. I actually made my own rules to the game though, that I think make it alot more fun and also harder. These are my rules, OK, let's say someone says 4 fives ad then the person after them calls them a liar. Everyone lifts there cups and there are 5 fives. I think in the game rules that the person who made the bid would be right, but with my rules you have to pick the exacy right number to be right. It makes the game alot harder, but in my opinion alot more fun. I actually put dice in Yatzee cups and plastic cups and things to my daycare before this game came out and that is how I invented these rules. I had a whole club for playing this game, everyone loved it soooo much they started bringing there own cups and dice just so they could pla It's a really fun game and I would recommend it to everyone over the age of 6 or 7.
- Grogging Party Fun!
     By A1SX55GI0E194K on 2007-11-10
This game is truly a lot of fun. Its very similar to "Liars Poker" (check wikipedia). We like to take a different spin on the game and incorporate a bit of "grog" into the rules; eg: lose a dice and take a drink of grog. Needless to say, the annual new years party was very interesting this past year. Its also great fun for kids and you can teach them a bit about probability, if you dig in a little deeper. Its such a simple concept but has fantastic party replay value.
