  I am not a major hippy, but if I can do something sensible for the environment, why not? These tissues are great. They feel nice, look nice and are comparable with any of the name brand tissues. I have used them through nasty head colds, so they have been put through their paces, and hold up fine.
  
  As an aside, I would also always forget tissues when I went shopping (or ran out of them in the middle of a cold) so if you have some storage space I also really like always having tissues on hand...

  i thought that recycled tissues would be scratchy & thin - i was wrong. green forest facial tissues are great! and they're good for the environment, too. i love the fact that they're not wrapped in plastic either - that's another bonus! :)
  
  

• Soft, strong, and green!

  As a major, daily, year-round sufferer of absolutely soul-sucking allergies (positive for 36 of 40 tested allergens, so there is no season -- nay, month -- in which I'm not toting boxes of tissues Linus-style), I've tried every tissue there is and have gone through unfathomable quantities in my 30 years. I've used only these for the past several years, since I discovered them at my local health food store, and now purchase them by the case. They're not quite as soft as the super-soft virgin-fiber tissues (Kleenex, Puffs, etc.), but they're pretty close, and much, MUCH softer than any other recycled tissue I've tried. They also hold up really well, and the recycled content is excellent. These are the only recycled tissues that are soft enough and strong enough for me, and I've actually converted a couple of not-particularly-eco-conscious former tissue-prisses to these from the super-soft, lotiony Puffs and Kleenex, which tells you how good they are. Head and shoulders above the rest of the pack, and a lifesaver for those of us in the unenviable position of going through loads of tissues, so really needing softness, but also being concerned with smart use of resources.
  
  

• Great tissues, Only ones I buy in bulk

  I've bought these tissues in bulk for the second time from Amazon.com. I'm very happy with the quality of them, and it's nice that you get 4 different colors of boxes to coordinate with your different rooms! I selected Green Forest tissues instead of Seventh Generation because they use slightly more post-consumer recycled paper (GF = 90%, SG = 80% according to the Natural Resources Defense Council) and they are more cost-effective too. Don't buy Puffs or Kleenex, they don't use any recycled paper in their products. I recommend Seventh Generation for toilet paper and paper towels. • Good, eco-friendly alternative to Kleenex

  Good quality product, reasonably priced. I'd rate these about the same as standard "Kleenex" brand products - you really cannot compare them to the super soft varieties of facial tissues, though. Not super soft, but not super scratchy, either. My family is usually pretty willing to sacrifice some comfort to work with environmentally friendly products, and isn't too picky. If you have particularly sensitive skin, though, you probably shouldn't choose this product.

  Perfectly adequate tissues. Soft and strong enough. Nice box designs. This case lasted our household nearly a year. I can't think of any reason not to buy recycled, unbleached tissues like these.

  I found the tissues to be too rough for my nose. Between allergies and colds, my nose gets really sore and these make it worse.

  I like to be able to use recycled product. The tissue holds up, but not the softest to the noise if you have to use them a lot, like a cold.
  
  
• Great recycled paper tissue!

  We are really happy with these, and I feel SO good using post-consumer recycled paper. It completes that recycling circle. No, they're not like a Puff's tissue that contains a lot of rag, so they don't feel like a super soft piece of fabric on your nose; however, they are soft and we have no complaints. Since they don't have the lotion junk in them (that is also loaded with toxic chemicals), I don't have to worry about my family getting those chemicals on their skin, and I can clean my glasses with them. In our pack of 24, we received 6 each of the following colors: grass green, silvery gray, golden toast and rose. The boxes are not like the photo. The background is solid with a leaf print along the lower edges. The bottom of the box is a deeper color that fades to a lighter shade toward the top of the box. We have these on Subscribe & Save. • Tissues are as good as basic Kleenex

  These tissues work just fine. Same as a basic Kleenex tissue, except they are recycled.
