  • Big Headache!

    By A3ILI19U1AMM1G on 2006-11-26
Save yourself a big headache. After my seven year old daughter was 'sold' by their TV ads, I bought one for her. The hand-held game works fine, but my daughter is bored of it (after 2 months). Each time she tries the online experience, however, I must sit in front of the PC and spend over an hour downloading/installing the latest version of the software, rebooting my PC, and trying to re-connect to their website (of course this is in the middle of when I am trying to cook dinner!). After updating the software, it asks me to update it again... I am sent into a circular loop and then it cannot even connect to "Planet Mion." I suspect they spent 99% of their budget on the ads, and 1% developing the product.

  • Awesome!

This is the coolest new electronic! It is very simple to set up, and I could play with it all day! My friends have them too, so we connect! It's cool because you can go on the computer with her too!!! This is all new to the bratz things and its one of the best! This new item, Miuchiz Bratz is a MUST-HAVE item!

  • Way Cool

I bought 2 of these for my kids (A Roc and a Cloe) and they are both ecstatic about the toy. Not only do they play it offline but when they connect to the virtual world, everything they did offline gets transferred to the world. My son was awed when he dressed his monster up with battle gear and armor only to see it in the world. This toy is for the new era of consumers who understand computers and know how to use them. I read a few reviews from users who just could not get it connected. Like any computer hardware, you need basic understanding of how to install computer software/hardware and how to get them connected to the internet. I suspect these customers that failed to get their game connected, probably had very little if no computer experience. I like to think of myself as computer literate, but found that my son got it hooked up and running faster than I could. Definitely one of the coolest new toys around, I suspect we will see many more of these types of toys/virtual worlds in the next few years.

My daughter who purchased the Cloe unit spent a great deal of time shopping in the store on the handheld and then went into the world. The graphics on the handheld are fairly basic but when you go into the virtual world the graphics are very high quality. The little Cloe's running around all dressed up looked quite cool. My daughter loved going to the changing room and trying on new clothes all the time. She also loves playing some of the arcade machines that are sprinkled around the world. These contain cute little games that you can play like "Memory", and "Mix and Match" that allow kids to earn more money (Creditz as they call it) and then have it go back to your handheld so you can purchase more stuff offline.

The game is just full of options, I do not believe my kids even found them all. I saw them play games on the handheld, dress up their character, feed them, buy toys for them, change their colors and then when in the world, there is a whole new set of activities for them to do. In the world I saw them playing some Arena fight game (very tame and harmeless), then a Laser tag game, a whole bunch of board type/2d games, treasure hunts, scavenger hunts, race games, balloon pop games and the list goes on. We do not know what was in the Haven world as we needed a Pawz game to enter that area, but my kids are already bugging me to purchase one so they can find out.

I was very impressed at the great pains Bratz went to in making sure the game was kid friendly. There seem to be lots and lots and lots (almost too much) of checks and balances to prevent inappropriate content for children. Kudo's to them for trying to make this safe for kids.

For $30, you definitely get your money's worth.

  • Cool start, but not quite

    By A3TUI2EU5Z417Z on 2006-10-31
I have an Inferno and my 2 kids have other Miuchiz of their own.

The concept is really neat, but they are still quite limited. There really isnt a lot to do in miuchi world yet, so you can get a little tired of it after a few visits. Earning miuchi bucks to get stuff takes a lot of effort. However, they are supposed to add new things to the online world regularly.

Playing wirelessly with another miuchi owner has been problematic for us and you can only play tic-tac-toe and rock/paper/scissors and/or exchange items. Again, they say they expect to add new features.

With Inferno, I notice that often when you go online, he wont have all the items he took from his closet prior to connecting. Also, when viewing items on the handheld that are in inventory, they often do not display colors and just show up as a shadow.

Looks like all users online are connecting to the same server. Performance is sometimes pretty bad. Other times you can't find anyone to duel with etc..

On the plus side, they were very smart to make software updates possible on the handheld via the USB connector. This means they can improve the handheld experience without requiring you to buy a new handheld. With other virtual worlds (e.g. pixel chix) you are stuck with the world and features you start with out of the box. Miuchiz has the right idea.

Based on my experiences and feedback from my kids, you may want to wait just a bit longer before you spend your hard earned cash as right now it becomes a pixel-chix sort of experience pretty quick (i.e. get kind of bored with it). Maybe by Christmas they will have added enough to miuchi world to make it more worthwhile.

  • HORRIBLE - waste of money

    By A1AMUVIOIMHGP9 on 2007-02-12
This toy can't be unsed unless you go online and "update" it. We have spent countless hours trying to "update" this toy - and ther is always a problem. The website is down or some other technical problem. Then IF the website is up - you go through the whole process and the toy still does not update - so it is unusable! It is a complete waste of money.

  • At least that's how it SOUNDS....
    By on 2006-09-13
I do think this game sounds kinda cool. I've always loved virtual pet games. And I can't have a real cat, so Miuchiz: Pawz Spike sounds pretty sweet. The thing is, I don't know whether to acctually buy it or not, since I'm not sure if I'm too old for it. I'm 13 (I didn't want to bother signing up so I used the kid review) and have a lot of experience with electronics, so things meant for little kids just won't cut it for me. I'm wondering if I'd lose interest in something like this a few weeks after I buy it.

  • Miuchiz Rocks!

  • The BEST!
    By on 2006-11-08
I love this game. I use to want it, but then my birthday came and tada! I got it! I tried it the first time and it was the best you can play online, connect with other people, or play by yourself! It's Good!

  • Hello from to Planet Mion
    By on 2006-11-10
OK, i bought this thing with my OWN MONEY before and saved up from my allowance. It was hard, but ok, then i got online and THAT was cool! I had to download a lot of stuff, but when i did that, it was neat to be online. your parents have to let you sign in to talk to people in the world (Mion), but once you do that, you can make buddies and talk to people all over the place! kids should love this game (i'd recommend it, and i'm 9!).

  • The low maintainance Virtual pet
    By A1EXA1HFZHCTZ2 on 2006-11-15
After a week with SPIKE I can say with a certain that this Device is very ambitous in it's design. while not perfect by any means it is a great toy for those who want a low maintainance virtual pet(No constant Beeping for food.) Miuchiz is a 3 line virtual pet line from MGA for Girls you have The BRATZ line with: with Chloe and Yasmin

For Boys You Have Monsterz with: Roc(Rock), Inferno(Fire) and Creeper(Plant).

And for both you have Pawz with: Dash(Dog) and Spike(Cat).

all Miuchiz have the same basic functions, and share games such as tic tac toe and roc papper scissors. and each has a third game and activities specific to the theme of the device.
But, what makes Miuchiz special is connectivity like the current generation TAMAGOTCHI's it has infrared connectivity so you can play games against your friends and trade items.

It's Miuchiz's USB Connector that makes it stand out from it from it's peers.

Planet MION is an On-line world where all 3 lines can meet and mingle and play games and earn credits and buy items that when you're done will transfer back to your unit. Each line also has a city to call it's own.

BRATZ has BOOMTOWN. PAWZ has Haven and MONSTERZ has RUIN. each is a world to itself. While Planet MION has not much is happening right now but has a lot to offer as it is still growing.

for those parents worried, The people there tend to be friendly and games are fun and MGA does keep an eye on things for when young kids enter as Older kids and even adults have bought a unit.

So if you are looking for something that while fun still needs some to grow which it is constantly than

  • Awesome handheld!!!
    By on 2006-12-29
Miuchiz are so cool, you can do tons of things on planet Mion. Alot of people say thet are have trouble connecting their Muichiz to Moin,I will go over that later on in the review. First of all before you start playing your Miuchiz read the guide that comes with your handheld. Once your done reading the guide it is time to start playing. It takes a while to get used to the control, but once your used to it it's fine.

Now we move on to planet Mion. First of all you have to complete your registration, and have your parents chose your chat, your ready to download the updates and sofware to your computer.(Your parents Choose your chat if your younger than, what I think is 17, I am not sure though.) Simple make sure your Character is happy, and well fead. Go to your computer room. (on the game and in real life) Plug your Miuchiz in to your computer. Then once your Miuchiz is connected into your real computer, Hit action infront of the game computer when it is highlighted in yellow. Wait a few seconds for your computer to read the Miuchiz. Once your computer has read your Miuchiz, A \screen will apeare that looks like something is going to load. On the screen there should be a botten that says connect to planet Mion, hit that botten and you should figure out the rest.

Now going into the features of Mion.
There are tons of mini games to play, I will list a few games.
Laser tag, Puzzles, Mazes, Food fights, Racing, and many more. Now remember, Mion changes alot so mini games will be added ever so often. The Graphics for Mion are stunning. But it does run slow at times.

    Tips and Tricks,

Mion Tips and Tricks, before you start to play give the world some time to download or else it could will go slow. Thats all of the Tips and Tricks of Mion, so far.

    Handheld Tips and Tricks,
To keep your Miuchiz happy and healthy before you turn your handheld off, make sure your Miuchiz is in bed. This will keep your Miuchiz Fun from draining out, The food will drain out thought, But at a slower pase.

Thats all, and enjoy your Miuchiz!!! :)

  • Good vitual game
    By ANKTFDROB8EKZ on 2007-01-16
My 9 year old loves this game. It was the best thing she says she got this year. It shows responsibility and she knows she can not ignore this one. Best use of her time. It was in good condition and ready to use right out of the package.

  • Just does not work as advertised.
    By A2V14M0S3T7XNF on 2006-10-09
My son is so frustrated with this product that he wants to return it to the seller. We've spent tons of time registering on the Miuchiz website, downloading updated software and loading their software so that we can get on Planet Mion but we simply can't get online with Planet Mion.

My son worked hard to save his money to buy this product but it just doesn't work as advertised. It's kind of reminiscent of the old Digivice that you were supposed to be able to battle online with but never could.

Personally, I'd save your money for a product that works.

  • AWESOME!
    By on 2006-10-19
I got this for my birthday and I could go online and chat and play and stuff. It was cool! It took awhile for my dad to get the email, like a day or 2, but when we got it, i got to go ontio planet mion! cool! thing everyone should get this product and look me up on the world! gona fight!

  • So cool, I've taken it over...
    By A2ZIXHXD1YN1YR on 2006-12-29
I wasn't too sure about this when I purchased it for my 6 year old for Christmas, but once we got the hang of it and learned how to work it on and offline, we love it. And I mean WE. I think I like it more than she does. Planet Mion is awesome. They are adding new activities everyday. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to buy a house. Would definitely reccomend this toy not just for kids but adults too.

  • good toy, no problems for me
    By on 2007-01-02
I got this for x-mass, and i have no problems connecting to pc and doing what they tell you. I updated it fine, and the little roc person goes online and plays ok. My computer is the same, and i didn't put the names of my friends email on the sign up thing. It works nice, and the online play is fun, i havent had any problems with it. If you can't get it to connect, you should go to the computer in the persons house, than plug it in quickly while the miuchiz sync software is running. The online part lets you play 2d and 3d games, like lazer tag in 3d and a game like space invaders in 2d. It also lets you earn creditz and buy stuff, like clothes and weapons and a house. The weapons and money you earned go back into your handheld part when you exit the online game. The instructions for the online game which are in the game itself, are not current, they say houses and creditz are coming soon, but they are working in the game.

  • Breakable Bratz
    By A1OOXEW8YMLHWH on 2007-02-07
I purchased this for my eight year old niece. We were both disappointed when it broke after only two weeks. Be prepared to have limited options for fun without downloading it on your computer. The program takes up a lot of memory on your computer's hard drive.

  • Don't waste your time
    By A2WNSMQNYAG4P2 on 2007-02-07
Don't waste your time on this thing until they fix the bugs. We bought the Bratz one & it thought it was a Pawz when we took it online. After 10 or so total hours (Yes, I know what I'm doing) fighting it I gave up & took it back. Tech support is a joke. There's NOTHING in the manual or online help, only a link to tech support who sends the exact same auto response every time, and none of those responses addresses the issue.

  • A great Buy
    By A1TYR0BEI3NLS7 on 2007-02-07
I got this for my 8 yr old daughter for her birthday and she loves it!

She really loves taking care of the Miuchiz and making credits to buy things for it. I didn't know there were games on there also that girls her age would like, such as tic tac toe and paper, rock, scissors!

She really enjoys the Miuchiz and I highly recommend for girls her age.

  • Don't Waste Your Time or Money
    By A3AN8I8XJHQBJ5 on 2007-02-14
This product is a waste of time! Don't bother. The handheld game is entertaining for my daughter, but connecting it online via the website is frustrating to say the least! Once connected, we walked around the "virtual world" with nothing to do. It is too complicated for my 8 yr old to do alone. There are much better products out there for children that are similar, but easier to play with. I would suggest Webkinz or Neopets. These 2 sites are very kid friendly and have educational games to play, unlike the Muichiz site! Good luck...

  • You get what you pay for
    By AYODU91DB6UFA on 2007-04-14
This is a cheap electronic game and it shows. I didn't have any trouble downloading the required content from the web (I guess they've worked out the gliches now). However, I will admit that this entire concept is complicated and frustrating for a child's toy. It is a cute and fun temporary distraction for my four year-old daughter, but I don't imagine it being on the "must have list" for any child over 6. Overall it's a good idea for a toy, yet executed quite poorly.

  • Poor graphics; questionable play
    By ANJ983GS5FT7C on 2007-04-21
My child did not quite understand this game. It's confusing even with instructions. He worked on it for about a week and now it's doomed at the bottom of his toybox.

  • Don't wast your money!
    By ARD5TJEZFO4W3 on 2007-05-17
I thought this toy would be a lot of fun but then again I (I asked for this last Christmas) I thought the miuchiz monstez would be funner and it is don't get the pawz if you are a girl get the bratz thing and if you are a boy get the monsterz the pawz are a wast of money.
here are the pros and cons
    PROS
    1 its a cat
2 it has a alarm clock
    CONS
1 the alarm is mest up (I set it for 9.00 a.m and the alarm sounded at 12.00 p.m
    2 the internet version stinks
3 the games get boring fast
    4 its so slow
thats the end of the pros and cons
if you get the monsterz or bratz only pay $15.00 for them thats what thier worth!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fun but too many bugs.
    By ALX9O1I9QFDQ3 on 2007-09-17
My 6 year old loved the interactive aspects of her Cloe. She liked buying new clothes and playing the simple games on it. So she had her $15 worth of fun.I would not have paid more than that for it though.
We had a horrible time trying to download patches and connect to the website,so we finally gave up on that idea.
But the item would often have to be completely reset,as a programming glitch would not allow her to play video games if she was hungry, but she didn't have enough money to buy food. This happened several times, causing my daughter to lose all the "stuff" she had managed to accumulate. Maybe a lesson in spending smarter, but it wasn't done deliberately.
Yasmin was even worse, the screen completely fritzed out after a couple days of play.

  • Great game for kids.
    By A1NXL0YKCERYTF on 2006-12-07
My daughter loves this game. It allows her to go online with other kids and make friends safely. She can buy a house or play a dozen other fun online games. Also she can unplug it from the computer and play with her pet any where we go. They only down side, this is her second one in 3 months because she broke a pencil tip in the reset button. Not rally Miuchiz fault.

  • NOT WORTH THE MONEY

I purchased this item for the neice of a friend and what a disapointment! from the beginning one of the buttons was not working. It costs more to return than keep, so save your money and get something else.
