Lots of fun!! By A2H5J9C8T758ZR on 2005-12-28
When a friend of ours pulled out this game at our Christmas gathering I thought it sounded boring but was willing to give it a try. We ended up having so much fun with this!!! Everyone was able to play from my 5yr old up to my husband's elderly grandfather! We all had a lot of laughs (like who couldn't remember left from right!) and passed a few hours in a blink of an eye. We paid $3 for 3 poker chips and the winner took the pot. The money added an extra twist, but honestly I think it would have been just as much fun without the money. We are used to playing cards after dinner so it was natural to add that element to this game. Basically a good time was had by all, time went quickly, and it was extremely easy to learn. The game comes in a small tube that can be thrown in the glovebox or purse to pull out and play anywhere at any time. Buy it and you won't be disappointed.
Not Much of a Game By A39HBK0VO9UJVW on 2007-10-23
While it is mildly amusing to play this in a large group, especially if you are playing for real money, LCR is not much of a game at all. There is No strategy. No thinking. No decision making. It is completely random. You may as well have everyone put their name in a hat and then draw the name of the winner--LCR is this same experience but stretched out over 5 or 10 minutes. If you are still curious, you don't need to buy this, just find the rules on the 'net and use dice from another game.
Family Game Night By A3TQ84N8LIS3EP on 2007-01-10
This game is so much fun! My son plays with his friends, and we play as a family! Teaches kids to follow directions, count, and teaches them left vs. right. And it can last for hours. For fun, instead of using the chips, we play with peanuts, m&m's, etc. Adds a little more excitement! I would highly recommend it! Great stocking stuffer!
Toy Great, Watch Out for the Shipping By AE4FYJAYPRGCI on 2006-03-19
This is a great game, we played it recently with friends. But watch out if you order here. The company that I ordered from thru Amazon had them REALLY cheap, but for an approximately $6 order they were charging almost $25 to ship.
How..when..where.. By AO9ZZF49QDQRO on 2006-11-11
You can't be serious.
We are not in the caveman era, you know. We have games to play that involve strategy. This game is pure luck - roll a die, roll a die, lose. It is like playing Roulette. Even Blackjack and Monopoly have choices. There is no way in which a "good player" can win in this game more often than a "bad player", as there is no way to be good or bad at this game.
We have eurogames. We have games that involve strategy. We do not need this baseless luckfest.
- Not a game
     By A30F7YCTPK4NZE on 2007-12-06
Firstly, I should point out that this was introduced by someone into an gaming group made of adults, so I didn't originally play this with very young kids in mind. My initial reactions are that it isn't really a game. It has no real decision making, and the winner is completely random. It has a few steps to figuring out who gets points, which can at first mask this fact. But it is indeed completely random.
I could see this potentially be useful for really young children to learn the difference between right and left, and how to count. However, by the time they are old enough to safely handle dice, I would expect them to know these things beyond this products ability to teach them. Although, I am not a parent, and might be wrong about this.
Otherwise, you're family game time would be better spent playing something that fires some neurons. Otherwise you'd find this boring (I would think), unless you enjoy randomly finding out who wins.

This game is great for kids and adults. It teaches the kids left and right. It also makes a great game for adults. Our neighborhood has game nights and it has become the popular game in our group.
- Great Party Game - Great Icebreaker!
     By AIT8B009YTIPK on 2005-10-25
We played this a party recently. Everyone threw in $3 instead of chips. Everyone just laughed, joked and cheered each other on. Kids and adults played together. I was very impressed on how entertaining this game was - not bad considering our group used to be of the Club Going variety.
- Fun for all ages

This is a great family game. You can include 2 year olds and 90 year olds and no one will have an advantage or disadvantage. It's a fun thing for a holiday or family gathering.

LCR is a game where nobody is completely out of the game. I bought it because even my developmentally disabled grandson can participate in this family game.

Once each month we have a group of friends in for a game night...normally we play various card games...but one friend brought this to our last game night. So we tried it out. Everyone had so much fun playing. We had a group of 11 in our game...so the pot at the end was quite nice with $3 entry. We did a second round with quarters...the dollars were more fun...holding them, and passing them...and getting them back! I'd recommend this to anyone having a gathering of any kind!

THE GAME ITSELF IS AWESOME, BUT I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE AMOUNT THEY CHARGED FOR S&H SINCE IT ONLY COST $1.37 TO MAIL AND THEY CHARGED ME OVER $15.00 FOR S&H.

This game is wonderful because even if you lose all of your chips you can still get a chip passed to you from other players and still be in the game! It is also a great way to teach children their left from their right.
- Great game for a large family
     By A2P925Y5W72HGN on 2006-07-22
This is a really fun, easy to learn game. You can play with chips, which are provided, if you are playing with kids. If you play with grown ups, you can use quarters instead and win some money! It is fast and easy to play. I would say you'd want to play with no less than 4 people.
- Fun game!
     By A33OLVQYKR636G on 2007-01-09
Played this at Thanksgiving and again at Christmas. Was fun because the smaller kids who can't read well could participate, and the older adults had a great time too. We wrapped tiny $1 presents and the winner distributed them to everyone, so everyone won the game with funny little trinkets.

We've played this game with from 3 to 20 players at a time and everyone always has a great time. My grandchildren love it as much as my friends do. The rules are easy and no one has to think too hard! Great fun!

My bunco group plays LRC after our bunco game. We use 3 1 dollar bills instead of chips. It's gets very exciting toward the end of the game. The last man standing gets all the money in the center.
- We've had so much fun with this!
     By A34PIZSP6JOTGA on 2007-05-12
We've been playing this game for several years now. If we have an LCR party, everyone brings $10 in quarters and we use those instead of poker chips. It seems so simple, but it's actually a lot of fun if you've got a good group to play with.
We've also played it with kids, and everyong brought 20 small pieces of candy (hard candy, Hershey's kisses, etc) to "gamble" with instead of quarters or poker chips. Always a fun time.

I am a kindergarten teacher and use this game at the beginning of the school year to teach the concept of left and right. I put a sticker on each child's right hand to begin the game. After a few days, there is no need for a sticker. Of course I also love playing with my grown up friends and replacing the chips with quarters!
- If you aren't looking for a Skill game
     By A2X98PDENFUVS1 on 2005-12-26
If you're into games that require a bit of strategy, then this isn't your game - however, it's amazing how much fun it can be when you are playing with a group of people. It does have the advantage that kids and adults can play together on equal terms. However, if you have more than three people I would advise getting out your stash of poker chips, or substituting money. (Personally I feel that money almost pushes this into the realm of gambling, so I prefer the poker chips). Fun game for a low price.
- ITF world cup
     By A1DVVKRO0N88YJ on 2006-04-28
I recently played this game on a very wet day when play had been suspendedat the ITF veteran team conpetition in South Africa. One of the American team produced right left centre and 18 ladies from 6 different countries spent a memorable time playing it. Our hosts, the South African ladies, from the Chiltern Club in Durban looked on in amazement. On return home to Ireland I wanted to purchase it to take with me on my travels, to introduce it to my school class and to use it at family get-to-gethers. I am really disappointed to find I cannot get it shipped to Ireland. It is brilliant fun both as an ice breaker ( many different languages played and this was no inhibitor) and to pass a wet day. It is the first game I have played that, until the final chip is left on the table, everyone is still in the game. Can you help me to purchase it? Letty Lucas
- Suprisingly fun game
     By A2A35PLLYD16DA on 2007-01-10
When my wife told me she wanted this for a neighborhood party, I thought she was crazy. On the surface I did not see how this game could be any fun at all. Suprisingly, we all enjoyed it, it requires some level of strategy, and makes a good drinking game.
- Our Favorite Game
     By A23JL9SHTJIKZT on 2007-01-10
L-C-R has become a family favorite. We use real poker chips when we play because they are bigger and easier to handle but you could used any token. It's easy for kids and adults. We've given several to friends and like to play at parties. If kids can play, so can intoxicated adults.

Who knew that 3 dice and some chips could be so much fun?! Great for kids...or change it up and use at a party with money instead of chips. This game is wonderful. Quick...exciting...and enough to generate a laugh as you try to remember your left and right.

This is a game for all ages. My 5 year and 6 year old grandchildren like it because it is fast and fun. They also practice this "left" and "right" knowledge. It is fun for adults because you can talk and play at the same time. It is easy and anyone can play.
- Great group fun!!!

This is a great dice game to bring to a party it gets everyone involved and requires no skill, just luck.
- Fun game for all ages!
     By A1FWKK6JDLZ7NA on 2007-12-29
My grandma mentioned that she'd heard of a fun dice game that the whole family could play so I hopped online and found LCR. It quickly became a favorite at our holiday gatherings. With 13 grandchildren ranging in age from 8 to 23, it really was fun for all ages! We replaced the tokens with nickels, which added a little more competition for some of the youngsters! I would recommend this game to a family of any size!
- small cost, much fun! Left, Center, Right Dice Game
     By A1FNIDZP6LBM5W on 2008-01-21
This is a really cheap $$$ game, but great, great fun! Played it first with girlfriends for pennies, then the guys had to hike it up to nickles....moves fast, never gets boring and the balance of winnings for the players is constantly changing.
In spite of that however, my husband and I taught our 4 year old grandson how to play in the first 10 minutes and he loved it. Since it involved chips this time, he had to count, remember what the spots on the dice meant, take his turn, do what the dice said and play by the rules. Because the number of chips (or coins) is constantly moving from player to player, it kept his interest because even when he lost it all, he could win back depending on the dice of the next players. He even remembered it two weeks later and asked to play it again. I would highly recommend it for any age group. 6 or 8 can play as almost as quickly as 3; I would always have an adult with the younger set, just because the chips or coins and even the dice, could cause a choking hazard if swallowed and that could be very serious. 3 dice come, along with instruction sheet and blue chips, in a plastic cylinder, about an inch diameter by 5 inches high.....easy to put away, for sure, LOL.
- Fun for All Ages, Anywhere!
     By ANC3O4RRB4EXO on 2008-04-05
This game comes in a tiny, portable tube with three dice with L, R & C or dots on them, and a bunch of little yellow chips. It is easy to learn for all ages, and helps the younger ones learn their left and right and how to count and keep track.
My one concern is that it's terribly easy to lose the chips. However, the first time we played we took only the dice out to dinner with us and we used sugar packets as chips. For all it matters, you could even use pieces of paper as chips. We all quickly learned how to play and had tons of fun - there were 3 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 youngsters (4 & 6).
I highly recommend this game as good family entertainment. Because it is so portable it would be a great game to take on a trip, espcially if you wanted to kill time in an airport. If you want to make it really exciting, use coins with the kids and let them keep the pot! Have them add up the change for a good teachable moment.
