Good Range, Long Charge Time By AFTZY6K8BXOJX on 2007-05-10
This little device works nicely with my bluetooth earphones and I can get a good 30 feet away from it before it drops out. My only quibble is that the charging method is USB only which means that I have to have a PC available to charge it. Since that can take up to seven hours, that's alot of wattage to burn just to charge up a toy. Fortunately, I have an Apple USB AC adapter that accepts the Jabra USB cord, so I can just plug it into a wall without having to fire up my desktop or notebook.
Other than that, I've got no problems with this little box. It works as advertised and allows me to use many audio devices with Bluetooth headphones. If you've got a USB AC adapter, or plan to run your PC for several hours (most of us do anyway), you'll love this device.
Love this! By A1RY9C4BUKYNKN on 2007-12-24
I bought the Jabra BT620 Stereo headphones a few weeks ago and after a day of trying to get them to work with my PDA and laptop, I gave up and bought the Jabra music adaptor. (The PDA and laptop would have needed software upgrades to support Bluetooth stereo, and then the headphones would still only have been useful with Bluetooth-compatible devices.) With the music adaptor, you can plug it into the audio output (headphone) jack of any device that puts out audio (stereos, mp3 players, Tvs, computers, etc) and hear the audio via a wireless Bluetooth headset. What a great device! I use it for listening to the music on my computer while I'm in the kitchen, reading in bed while listening to audio from the PDA, watching TV without disturbing my husband, in the tub, etc.
The type in the instruction manual is small, so make sure to read the instructions carefully. When you use it for the first time, you have to put both it and your Bluetooth headphones into pairing mode (easy and in the instructions). After that, you just turn on the headphones first, then the music adaptor.
Works great, easy to sync, lasts long By AS582AWGO83VX on 2007-06-07
This could not be much easier to use, it syncs with Moto S9 headphones quickly, and the charge (battery) lasts a long time. It is a very small, very light-weight box that can just dangle from an mp3 player (iPod) or be held on with a rubber band.
nice for motorcycle By AVMEC1TN0AFY9 on 2007-10-05
It works great to remedy a shortcoming of my zumo 550 GPS, which doesn't broadcast Bluetooth in stereo. But mostly, I like to plug it into my iPod, which I leave in the map pocket of my tank bag. I don't like being tethered to my bike in any way -- and this is an effective way of avoiding that.
The stereo sound quality, range, and volume are surprisingly good. Battery life seems to be as-advertised. Pairing was easy. I also found that I can plug it into the USB charger for my Motorola Q (cell phone) to recharge it -- versus having to charge it from a PC.
I've paired this device with the Bluetooth Wonder Stereo Headset, which I also purchased via Amazon. This is another great little device that enables your earphones of choice with Bluetooth!
Works as advertised By A1CCSKZQVIDG99 on 2007-07-18
I love this Adapter because I can use it to turn any thing with a headphone jack into a bluetooth device. It does what it says it does and it's really easy to setup and use. I use it with my Motorola S9 headphones. I can listen to my Video iPod while I ride the train to work. I love it. The volume works good, I just turn the volume up on my iPode and then back down my S9 headphones. And the mute control works well with it too.
- Does the job, but....
     By A1X9J1681131IO on 2007-11-02
First of all let me say that it does what it suppose to do. I was able to pair it up with my Motorola S9 headset and the music from my iPod sounds great (disclaimer: I'm not a sound/music expert). Also, since it attaches via the 3.5mm connector, there is low risk of it breaking off like I feared if I bought an adapter that plugs in the bottom iPod dock connector. But, after my first use I discovered that I should have thought a little harder about buying this product. First, since it plugs into the 3.5mm connector on top, you can't use the headset controls to control the iPod other than volume. You never think about being able to skip tracks until you can't and all the crappy songs are on the play list. Next, since it has it's own battery, the plus side is it doesn't use the iPod power and won't shorten the iPod's charge. The down side is that I have to turn off the iPod, the headset, and the Jabra adapter. It doesn't sound like much, but it's a pain. One alternative is to just let all 3 turn off by themselves, but it drains the charge and I work where things like bluetooth/cell phones/etc. can interfere with some of the equipment so I have to turn it off prior to walking in the door. As I said, it does he job, but it has it's drawbacks. Hope this helps someone.
- won't pair with many headsets
     By A1PQS2IR1W9LJJ on 2008-01-10
It pairs with my motorola s stereo headset but will not pair with my plantronics mono 520 or a soyo headset that both work fine with my cell phone. JAbra should be a little more clear about what types of headsets this will work with.
UPDATE
I received this message from JAbra:
The Jabra A120s Bluetooth stereo adapter is not compatible with mono (non-A2DP) headsets. The A120s has only A2DP, so the receiving headset also has to have the A2DP. The receiving headset can have other audio profiles, like HSP and HFP as well. Most A2DP headsets are stereo (2 speakers), except for the Jabra BT8040, which has both stereo channels going into one speaker.
- awsome product
     By A3IDN06I13O5JH on 2007-08-21
i just purchased this product and got it its a great adapter for your ipod video i can also connect it to my motorola ht820 headset and use my motorola slvr l7 at the same time its great for passing time with while im on the bus to work this is a product that i would recomend to every one A+ for this one great job with it:-)
- Useful, with some drawbacks
     By AQHW03USTC7R5 on 2007-09-22
The A120s functions pretty well. I encountered two drawbacks. Initial pairing with my Motorola S9 was not easy ... it finally worked by toggling the A120s into "manual mode". (Once paired, it reliably reconnects.) Second, I use a Creative Zen MP3 player with FM radio. The A120s interferes with the radio player unless you separate them by about 6 inches. I recommend the device, but thought some customers could benefit from the troubleshooting I went through.
- Indoors great. Outdoors just terrible range
     By A9HBFIZOHW6B7 on 2007-10-04
Indoors... it works great 5 stars no doubt. I can leave it attached to anything that has a headphone jack and walk around with by bluetooth headset and get decent range. Compared to the Anycom 2.0 USB and builtin Thinkpad bluetooth they all yield the same range. Works better since the usb and Thinkpad software pairing sometimes get confused that I want to do headset instead of stereo. This thing always pairs and always works. Outdoors, it's troubling. Thing just cuts in and out unless I hold it near my chest when I walk. Not sure why it's doing this. I'm not even running. I'm using the behind the ear bluetooth headset from Sony DR-BT21G. Works better in the subway cars but not in the open. Wish someone could explain. Makes me think bluetooth stereo still isn't quite ready. Can't someone make a bluetooth headset and dongle combo that has that deep undistored bass quaility that you get from those DJ type headsets?
- A++++++

connects to my motorola s705, and lets me hear my xm and other music and gps in great sterio quality
- Simple Control, Outstanding Battery Life
     By ANPIELRQWLR54 on 2007-10-20
One simple, glowing button.
That's it!
The battery life is about 10 hours and the reception between this and my headphones was exceptional, maybe 10-15 meters.
It is nice and looks good, although you have an iPod, I'd go for an iPod specific transmitter.
- Big Little Gadget
     By A10YHYUN87THPF on 2007-10-25
The Jabra Bluetooth Music adapter plugs into anything with a head phone jack. I use it with my Motorola bluetooth earbuds and watch TV late at night by plugging it into the 3.5 mm head phone jack on the TV. Pairing the device is simple. Just make sure there are no other bluetooth signals close by that may interfer with the pairing. Sometimes I need to move out of the range of my cell phone for it to pair. Once paired, no problem.
- Wow!
     By A2LT0ZKWMDX20Y on 2007-10-27
This adapter paired right up with my Insignia NS-BTHDP (Best Buy house brand) bluetooth headphones. I've yet to run down the original charge after about 8 hours of use. I was surprised by how small the actual unit turned out to be - about the size of a 9V battery. The only negative I can think of is that I do have to turn the volume up higher on my mp3 player to avoid that bluetooth hissss....
- WAHOOOO! (But make sure you're REALLY in PAIRING MODE!)
     By A3GN49KJH4C6B5 on 2008-01-06
Love this adapter! I was so disappointed when I found out the love of my life's (my HP iPaq rx4240 mobile media companion) bluetooth profile wasn't A2DP profile. But hurray for the Jabra A120s! I must say I had the worst time trying to pair it with my Motorola S9 headset; I really thought I was doing it right until I noticed I never did get the SOLID blue light on the A120s. I would press & hold the adapter long enough to get the quick flashes (the manual says it's "searching for devices", but I found I was suppose to hold it longer until it *stayed* blue. (I'm normally not so stupid.) But it paired instantly after removing the "duh" factor. :)
- Great, but could be better
     By A1OILXZPO087XJ on 2007-05-30
This product works very well. great stereo, and works with any device that has a head phone jack like your IPod.
The only things i would change is battery time about 8-10 hours before recharge. Other blue tooth devices can last 17 to 20 hours
the other fix would be to allow use while recharging. The adapter is not availbe to use while recharging. other than that its great. Use it with blue tooth headphones and you wire less for about 20 feet away
- exactly what i wanted
     By A29L8WX3RLL5C0 on 2007-06-20
this adapter was exactly what i needed for my creative zen vision m. its the perfect solution for those times that you accidentally hit the wire and you cd player/mp3 player falls onto the floor, or you get pulled by your ears when the wire is caught.
its reliability is usually pretty good. the one complaint i have however is that it seemed to drop out frequently if the adapter was inside a pocket or compartment, and this didn't happen whenever there was a clear path between them and the headphones. its handy coiled wire makes it easy to hang out a pocket without worry of it getting damaged though.
- Great Product
     By AKFARRQPT5TZ0 on 2007-07-14
This Bluetooth adapter provides MP3 stereo to my motorcycle helmet -- great product for a reasonable price.
- Great little adapter that works well
     By A3D1K107TEVBAH on 2007-08-16
This device will connect to any A2DP headset/headphone and charges via mini-USB. It plugs into any 3.5 mm headphone jack meaning it will work with your iPod, your Zune, your computer, your entertainment center, your portable DVD player, your laptop, your PSP, your Gameboy, your iPhone, ... you get the picture.
It sends a high quality bluetooth signal so I can get pretty far from the device I'm listening to and hear great quality sound.
I use mine with the Jabra BT8010 stereo bluetooth headset. I have had no problems with this device.
- Works great, long charge
     By A1P6ZS6JMHHZQB on 2007-08-26
This unit works well and does almost everything I need. I use it with my iPod shuffle and it is small enough to velcro to the back of it. Works great with my Motorola S9 headphones (which are also outstanding!). It has pretty good range, although it seems to be very defined. You can almost draw a line on the ground where the reception changes from perfect to non-exsistant.
The only thing I don't like is echoed in the other reviews here. You cannot use this device while it is charging. Not sure why they made it that way, but it does have a pretty long charge (longer than my headphones). That feature would give this a 5 star rating from me.
P.S. for those that wondered about pairing with headphones other than Jabra - my motorola S9's require a passkey and this device has no entry buttons or display. However, the passkey for all of Jabra's BT headphones (and this device) is '0000' (I confirmed this with Jabra tech support.) Since that is the same that Motorola uses, they have no problems pairing right up.
- Pair with the Motorokr
     By AHRSKDEH8JEKU on 2007-11-11
Works great! holds a charge forever. I paired mine with Motorola's motorokr headphones...flawless. Very slick way to make your non-ipod mp3 player, computer, tv, whatever into a bluetooth wireless device.
- Jabra
     By AN4S9HN6MLK6B on 2007-11-15
Does work with FM radio and cell phone together when using Motorola bluetooth headphones - I can listen to the radio, then when calls come in, radio cuts out, and I can take call. Wish it had better range, and does not work by itself as a good antenna for portable FM radio.
- Nice idea, simple to use. how do I replace the battery?
     By A1O2XZ9FN8I67V on 2008-02-06
I got this to use my 5g iPod with my BT-3030 BT adapter.
I got this over the 125s because I can potentially use this with anything that has a 3.5mm jack. And the 125s looked a bit fragile.
At least with my BT-3030 it works very well. It doesn't have a lot of range (40 feet at most line of sight) but that's not my concern.
Only downsides are no user replaceable battery and it only charges with USB. It'd be nice if it doubled as a USB to BT dongle for the PC, but oh well.
It's a lot smaller than I thought it'd be. So small in fact that Jabra should consider making an iPod sleeve with a a120s pocket attached. (are you listening Jabra?)
The other minor issue is that when it's fully charged, the power button/indicator LED changes green, but not always. Sometimes it'll go green after an hour sometimes after 10.
I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to use a simple universal BT transmitter.
- Jabra A120s
     By A1LX0FOTOCXQCM on 2007-05-31
The adapter works well, and connects with everything I've tried. The only downside is that you can't use it while charging. Plugging in the USB charge cable immediately disables the device. On long trips in the car, this is a definite defect.
- solves its purpose
     By AB8FXODPUQL5M on 2007-08-14
This product works fine.I use it with my cell phone and my desktop and get connected to my Jabra bluetooth headset. The sound quality and maximum volume is good but not great.I give it a 4 as it doesn't support the button functionality on headset as the Ipod adapter.Connecting the headset is quite simple and easy. But we have to repeat the whole process every time
if any on of the headset or adapter gets disconnected. The battery life of the adapter is less than that of the stereo headset which reduces the life of the Headset. On the whole it does my work without any difficulty. And last but not the least, the music play stops when a microwave oven is turned on.
- As expected!
     By A2Q5VGEIH3ECYT on 2007-10-01
Pairs easily with my Sony headphones, sounds great, half the price of Sony's transmitter -- what more do I need to say?
- Better than expected
     By ARBZQN2DJ15PN on 2007-08-31
Very nice product and smaller than I expected plus it sounds very nice with my Creative Zen Jukebox and it was very cool to listen to my dvd portable being played through my big T.V through my Motorola s9 headphones, oh yeah the velcro to attach it your device was a nice added touch.
- super easy to use
     By A1O6EFLV1A36ZR on 2007-09-06
I use this product with my Motorola Rokr S9 headset to listen to the tv or my mp3 player when I run on the treadmill. Works great, easy to pair together. Product is super small.
- Jabra Bluetooth Music Adaptor
     By AG12HNXPVJY3Q on 2007-09-11
Works very well. I attach it to my mp3 player and I can walk around my living room, etc., up to 30' away without problem. It's great to watch tv late at night with my stereo headphones and not bother anyone else in the house.
- Works (kinda)
     By A2QSCL4WNCIXGD on 2007-10-02
This is a very freeing product. I first got it so that I wouldn't constantly be getting snagged on various knobs and various extrusions. And it does cut out the wire, but at what cost?
Want to go outside for a walk? Don't count on it. Just going outside is enough to make this thing stop working, even just moving too fast or jostling the dongle too much is going to make it cut out. Even if you stay in one spot, still as a statue, it will still randomly cut out. My wireless network is probably causing the interference inside (microwaves will also instantly kill it) but I'm going to tun it off so I can listen to my music uninterrupted.
Aside from all that it does well when functioning. The music quality is decent enough, but a good set of headphones will add to the clarity (mine were over $100). It does satisfy my original need, I haven't had my mp3 player thrashed to the ground by any stray handles, and that's good enough for me.
