Beware reformulated product By A2HQ9GB2ZTQ9S4 on 2006-09-13
Pampers has recently changed this product - from "Pampers Sensitive" in the green tubs (or plastic wrap) to "Pampers Sensitive Wipes." The new product contains some of the same additives in regular wipes that can cause skin irritation. For us, what caused a problem was the change to include citric acid. As far as I can tell, you now can't find a Pampers wipe that doesn't contain citric acid, which causes our kiddo's skin to turn bright red (which is quite painful). We switched to a Huggies senstive wipe which doesn't have citric acid. It's not as good as the old Pampers Sensitive, which we hope the company will choose to reintroduce.
So, if your kid suddenly starts reacting badly to wipes, it's worth checking the package to see if something has changed. In this instance, Pampers has made the produce much less 'sensitve.'
buy anywhere else By A21S0K5PU4YO9L on 2007-01-07
Usually Amazon has fair prices, and normally I wouldn't let Amazon's pricing affect my rating of an item, but Amazon's price is crazy compared to what these wipes cost at even the supermarket. I can buy a 6 pack for $11, not on sale at the grocery store. I'm sure WalMart or Target would even be a little cheaper. So anything over $22 is a ripoff.
As for the wipes, I like them but they have seemed to change and do not seem as soft as they used to be. Too bad!
go to walmart By A3IK7E4D6DJKQ1 on 2006-10-29
these are teh best wipes ive tryed (3kids 41/2, 21/2, and newborn) most of the other brands have caused reactions. however go to walmart if you want to save money. for a 6 pack in my area its only $10, so $35 for a 12 pack is almost double and factor in shipping then i would be paying way too much!
cost tooo much... By A1WI8OZAST2PDM on 2007-05-26
I just think that everyone should know that you can get a box of six refill bags with 72 wipes in each bag at walmart for nine dollars and some change.
GET IT AT WALMART !!! Buy two 420-ct boxes for a total of $18. By A18NYD2HRRNKAH on 2007-10-04
You can get this for $9 per box a Walmart. This is one instance where Amazon is overcharging.
- Good wipes if your baby has sensitive skin
     By A2Z28CH38PGSV9 on 2006-06-20
We've been using these wipes since our baby was born. Tried a bunch of other supposedly hypoallergenic wipes (Huggies, Mustela, Seventh Generation) and had a lot of adverse reactions from our baby. No problems whatsoever with these wipes. Plus they have a very small amount of fragrance on them, unlike many others which range from horrendous odors to horribly perfumed.
- The BEST Wipes!
     By A3PLPEFBO460YT on 2006-08-31
These wipes are the Best! All 3 of my kids have sensitive skin. I have tried all wipes and Pampers Sensitive are the only ones that did not irritate them. They are the softest as well. I have noticed no difference in the make of these in the past 4 years.
- sensitive wipes
     By A1TEFMU4NRWK84 on 2006-10-09
I have 3 children and found these wipes nearly 4 years ago when my oldest was born. Every wipe tore her bottom up, until we found these! When my twins were born 2 years ago we tried other brands to try to save money but had the same problem their bottom would turn red and be very sore! The new changes to the wipes has not had an effect on my kid's and after speaking to the company and reading the package found that nothing has changed with the wipes - just the packaging. I have found that depending where you buy the wipes depends on what the packaging looks like. If it has been on the shelf for a long time it does look different and may not be the same. I can't rave enough about these wipes. Anyone who has a child with sensitive skin needs to try it!
- love the wipes, not the price!
     By A3KD3Z2LQ7U1LX on 2007-03-11
I've been using these wipes for my daughter since she was born, and they are wonderful...they aren't scented, and have never given her a rash yet. They're also much softer and more wet/moist than Huggies wipes, which makes for easier diaper changes!
However, I'm pretty shocked at the price on this website. I just bought a 6-pack box for $9.99 yesterday at Wal-Mart, and it was not on sale (in Connecticut). Why pay 50% more here? This is a great product though!
- Lifesaver
     By A2OMFQJYDLSP4 on 2007-05-12
My granddaughter got a very tender bottom when she started eating solids and would scream when having her diaper area cleaned. These solved the problem. No more stinging. Also, it's very dry where we live. They are excellent for wiping tender little nose, faces and hands.
- Great for new tushies!
     By A67RBWADAUAF6 on 2007-05-21
These wipes were recommended to me by friends and I loved that they were thin and gentle for newborn tushies. I think that thick wipes are better for bigger tushies and bigger messes, but these are great for the first 6 months at least! I've used a case in 2 months!
- buy at target
     By A1UVL4QLZPHMTG on 2007-06-16
awesome wipes. newborn safe.
buy at target 420 wipes for 8.99. amazon is riping you off.
- wipes are fabulous, Amazon price is terrible.
     By A2B5GY59D896WT on 2007-10-18
These wipes are terrific. They are the only wipes I can use without my son breaking out in a rash (I've tried different brands). Amazon's price is horrible. As a new mom, I first bought them here, and I was shocked to see them in stores for 1/3rd of the price. I learned my lesson. I emailed Amazon to complain, but I never received a response. So, I'd recommmend the wipes, but buy them elsewhere (Target, Kmart, BabiesRUs, etc.).
- You Can Get 420 Count at WalMart for Under $10 plus Tax
     By A1R9JTPCHFQP3F on 2007-11-15
What a joke! This item sells for 6 packs (420 count) at Walmart for under $10 plus Tax. To get the amount that is sold here, buy two boxes of six packs from WalMart and pay ONLY under $20 plus tax. I don't know about you, but $10 in savings is worth it, even hauling children with me ages 2 and 3.
- Love the wipe, hate the price
     By A3BMTEJ0WD1TW3 on 2008-03-06
We have been using these wipes since day one. No complaints there. However, the current Amazon price is double that of our local warehouse merchant for 1/2 the amount of wipes.
Double the size of the box and halve the price, and Amazon gets my repeat business on this item.
- Best baby wipes
     By A1SZH2R37V7UBH on 2006-06-04
I have been using these wipes since my 2.8 year was a newborn. He has very sensitive skin and these were the only wipes that didn't irritate his bottom. Unlike the other review I prefer they not be too wet. Now that I have another baby I am using them on him as well. I have tried others and will always go back to these.
- Great wipes for both my kids
     By AVWWAWMC6Q5XC on 2006-06-21
Both my daughters have VERY sensitive bottoms. Pampers sensitive wipes and Target's version of Pampers sensitive are the only wipes I have been able to use on my girls. Their bottoms are so sensitive that I can only use Pampers, Luvs or Huggies diapers due to cheaper diapers give them diaper rash. I highly recommend these wipes and I don't think they are too dry and I have been using them for years.
- Not Delivered
     By A3QLIBPE20IEM2 on 2006-08-17
We would like to order this product and we do like this product but, the last time we ordered from Amazon, we were notified that this could not be filled, therefore the order was cancelled.
- Love them!
     By APA5SIV5JLDSZ on 2006-10-28
My baby doesn't have sensitive skin but I had a sample of these wipes from my hospital. They seemed really soft and not as harsh on my baby's bottom. So I bought more. The great thing about them is I really think the aloe or something in them prevent diaper rash. I have not had to use any diaper rash cream since I started using them and it has been over three months. I accidently grabbed the "naturals" last time I bought wipes and I'm starting to see some pink on her bum again. I'm no scientist but I think there is something to them!
- Only for newborns
     By A12NJTG7OU7GYW on 2006-11-10
Now that the poop is thicker and smellier, you need a textured and lightly scented wipe. I prefer the Pampers Lavender over this product.
- wipes
     By A3GUGDLLIGIIPV on 2007-01-06
The wipes are fine-sensitive enough for a newborn. The problem was that I received a case of over 800 wipes in october and the expiration date on the package was december. Amazon was not able to accept a return since the package had been opened, but amazon did refund $10 which was 1/3 of the purchase price.
- Great wipe
     By AI7QU2FD54BK7 on 2007-02-16
These wipes are so soft and don't have a strong scent. I use them on my infant and my two year old so the pack of 12 is a great value!
- wipes
     By A2A4WRH0OBSUHW on 2007-03-23
I love the Pampers brand. I have tried them all but these still are the best. We have yet to have a diaper rash and these work really well for those messy diapers. Clean up is a breeze! Also the smell of the wipes is not overpowering.
- Great for newborns
     By A24MVDLIHCY1DP on 2007-05-09
So when you bring your little bitty precious bundle home, they'll tell you to only clean his/her bottom with a warm, wet washcloth for the first few weeks because they're sensitive little bottoms. It's a nice sentiment and one I completely intended to follow... until I got home. As nice at it may be, it's completely impractical when you're doing 10 changes a day. This product is the next best thing. No, it's the best thing. The cloths are extremely gentle, very thick and softer than many cotton washcloths. I guess all moms know this because the store shelves are frequently bare/low. It only took one sample pack to convince me.
- The only wipes we will use
     By A3E0C9G23AL1BW on 2007-05-09
These are the only wipes I will use on my kids. Both of my kids have extremely sensitive skin and excema. These wipes do not irritate their skin at all, and we have virtually NO diaper rash.
- Quality Product
     By A1EKS3LLU2XXWL on 2007-05-13
Works well as a body cleanser with no offensive perfumes. We haven't had any skin problems from using this wipe. Slides easily across skin without snagging or shredding. Makes a good hand wipe as well. Price compares with other similar products, well worth the cost for quality higher than bargain or store brand product.
- awesome product, ordering online is spendy
     By AG6J6VU9GENOD on 2007-05-13
i've only tried 5 different brands of wipes since my daughter was born, and the pampers sensitive wipes are the only ones that don't give her a diaper rash. if you find a good product stick with it! we were given a package of huggies brand wipes and i started using those, and as soon as we started using the huggies wipes her diaper rash came back.
i wanted to look online for good prices on these wipes and both EBAY and amazon are too expensive. walmart does sell these wipes for much cheaper. its roughly 20 dollars for 840 wipes at walmart.
hope this helps!
- What did we ever do without wipes?
     By A3F69HNLEEWH11 on 2007-05-17
I use a ton of these. They don't irritate my baby's skin. In the warmer I add lots of additional water to keep them moist, as well as if they dry out in the container. Amazon is a great place to get the big packages, it's a good deal and a bigger box than you can get in the grocery store (and I go through a ton of them) and it's covered under the Free Shipping. Can't get any better than that.
- cheaper elsewhere
     By A18K6X7CIJQP3E on 2007-06-13
they are 9.95 at sams club and wal mart way cheaper for thr amount you get amazon needs to get their price adjusted
- Good for Babies, not Toddlers
     By A3NG1YZUOUZ4HF on 2007-07-09
I purchased the Pampers Sensitive baby wipes to try out with our twin toddlers. We had been using Huggies wipes and thought with the great price for these Pampers wipes, here on Amazon, we would give those a try.
The Pampers are a good product, but more so for a baby. Though I LOVED how each wipe popped out individually and were not connected to each other. They just are not thick enough to handle the messiness of my toddler boys. I would however recommend them to anyone with an infant.
