Use in Muffin Magic machine By A2PNOU7NXB1JE4 on 2006-11-25
The only reason those did not get 5 stars is due to their size, however they fit perfect in the muffin magic machine to prevent tough bottoms. They can also be used without a muffin pan, just place on a cookie sheet. They handwash in a breeze or come out fine from the dishwasher. This brand was the most cost effective on Amazon.
It may still stick... By A1VQBEW0G4IH1J on 2007-10-20
I am a big fan of silicone bakeware within its limitations. I thought these would be really great, and they are from a storage perspective and muffins/cupcakes don't stick but...if you leave them in these cups until they are totally cool, they will start to stick, so you don't really want to serve them in these even though they're really cute. :(
So, you take cupcakes out of the silicone cup, and then because they are so small they get dry really fast. If you were making a regular cupcake or muffin you would either put it in a paper liner that would hold some moisture in, or you wouldn't use a liner and the sides would be smooth so there isn't as much surface area to dry out.
Also, how do people wash these in the dishwasher? I can't find a way to do it that wouldn't have them falling down and being tossed about.
Cute and fun if you are making cupcakes or muffins that you eat immediately, otherwise I'll stick to individual foil cups or paper liners, or maybe try some of those silicone cups that have smooth (not pleated/fluted) sides.
multi use muffin cups By AWXWQTQAFP7B5 on 2007-01-09
Have used these for muffins and it was nice to be able to just peel the cup off ready to use again. But in desperation I also used them to freeze cooked tomatoes. Then just peeled them off and put the frozen tomatoes in a plastic bag. Just the right amounts for soups or stews. I would buy again too and will have to to get another dozen.
Throw away your muffin pan! By A1ZIQ5CGEPCGOX on 2007-02-18
These muffin cups worked very well. The muffins were cooked perfectly with the bottoms just right instead of being too crispy. My only complaint is that they are a little difficult to clean. Well worth the hassle though, especially since they take up practically no space at all.
not worth the money By A1TCAF4Y9Q7DMQ on 2007-06-22
it seems like a good idea to have reusable baking cups. it eliminates the need to buy the paper ones, plus you can use them without the actual pan. the problem is they are very hard to clean. the cupcake batter slightly sticks to the baking cup and it is very hard to get off. i put it in the dishwasher and the residue of the cupcakes was still there. i soaked them in soapy water and THEN washed them in the dishwasher. most of it went away at that point, but what a pain. i think i will go back to the paper ones.
- Smaller than I expected
     By A2IYL2MA43NOP6 on 2007-03-28
These are not your typical muffin cup. They are a lot smaller than they look in the picture. Well worth the price, but just small.
- Better than picture
     By A3UQE8YJO3V3NT on 2007-03-07
These rock! Plus they look a lot better in person than they do in the picture. They are much more opaque and the colors are richer. Good quality and design. It even has a little line marking where to fill it up to so all of your cupcakes will be uniform in size!
- fab fun cupcake or muffin cups
     By A1PX75QSXYYKK on 2007-01-28
the silicone cups works so well and really are fun since the cakes pop right out
- Good replacement for paper cupcake liners
     By A2S64B0HGQCY67 on 2007-12-13
These are a good replacement overall for paper cupcake liners, but they do have a few quirks.
I noticed that they did shrink a bit after the first use and subsequent dishwasher wash. The initial use, nothing stuck to them at all. In later uses though, with the corn muffins for which I was using them, some sticking did occur, usually on one bottom corner. So after that I would spray them with non-stick cooking spray before use.
They can be a bit tricky to clean as well. Though they are dishwasher safe and generally clean up well that way, on occasion some material would remain lodged in parts of the ridges after a dishwasher washing, and that required spot cleaning by hand.
- handy, space-saving muffin cups!
     By A166V4PBJJ7301 on 2007-10-15
These muffin cups are better than I expected: they're so easy to use and clean that I find myself making muffins more often than before! For people with smaller kitchens, the size of these muffin cups is a big plus too. As other reviewers have mentioned, you can just throw them onto a cookie sheet and make an impromptu muffin tin. Fantastic!
- Wow!
     By AJ8W2MT00ZLFW on 2008-01-14
I rarely bake muffins, but had the opportunity to try my cousin's at Christmas this year. LOVE them! Non stick, sturdy, and excellent! Best part is that you set them on cookie sheets to bake, so I don't have to keep a bulky muffin pan around to be able to make muffins or cupcakes every now and then!
- great product, fast shipping
     By A1Q59WZUY9N5W1 on 2008-03-25
these work just like advertised. my wife is thrilled that she doen't have to go out and buy cupcake liners all of the time.
- Handy cups for muffins
     By A312UBIOP091MH on 2008-05-05
I use these to make banana bread muffins for my family. They are handy to use and store. I spray them with PAM and the muffins come out fine. My only complaint is that they discolored a little on the bottom. Not a deal breaker for sure. I have two sets and they wash up fine and stack up easy. They take up way less space in my cabinet. I use them all the time.
- Great baking silicon muffins cups
     By AH5575LDUQOC1 on 2008-06-04
I used them in a muffins pan they replace perfectly the paper cups. Not sure they should be used alone on a cookie plate like some did! They come off easily, do not stick to the muffins and are easy to clean after letting them soak in soapy water.
- great baking cups!
     By A3DO0RW1VKBX8 on 2008-06-15
I'm very pleased with these baking cups. I use them mostly for muffins, but they work great and the muffins come out easily (as long as you let them cool a little first) with no cooking spray. It's nice to not be going through so many paper muffin cups all the time. You do have to wipe them out before putting them in the dishwasher because the water doesn't get all the crumbs out since they're so lightweight.
