  It's probably a great product, but BEWARE this is a 1GBx2 kit NOT a 2GBx1 kit as is implied by the listing and picture. Crucial's website is more accurate, showing a photo of 2 pieces as well as listing the item as 1GBx2.
  
  If, like me, you want a single (2GBx1) piece, DO NOT order this item.
  
  
  
  

• Crucial Shipped the Wrong product ... and then messed me around

  I ordered this through Amazon, which passed the correct order onto Crucial. Crucial shipped me DIMM instead of SODIMM. After phoning them and being left on hold for 40 minutes, they:
  1) refused to acknowledge they had made a mistake (despite the shipping order enclosed with ram providing all the correct order details)
  2) insisted that I ship the ram back AT MY EXPENSE
  3) would not ship me the correct ram at the price advertized on Amazon -- they wanted to charge $12 more
  Altogether a foul experience. Avoid Crucial!!!!!!!!!!!!

• A very good buy....please follow these steps before you buy

  I purchased this product from Amazon and it was shipped in 2 hours.
  
  You need to make sure you follow these steps before you purchase additional memory, otherwise you may landup purchasing an incompatible RAM.
  
  1. Go to the corsair website.
  
  2. Select memory configurator on the top right side.
  
  3. Select Laptop and then the brand.
  
  4. Then enter the model (normally found at the bottom of the laptop).
  
  5. If asked for a chipset along with the model, then right click on My computer -> Properties -> hardware -> device manager.
  
  6. Make it a point to open your laptop covering above your RAM and check the RAM model.
  
  7. Do not trust your manufacturer manual. In my case, it was mentioned chipset 943 and RAM PC2-4200. After performing steps 5 & 6, I noticed my chipset was 945 and RAM PC2-5300.
  
  8. Step 6 is also important, because you will have an idea about the available slots. In my case I had to increase from 1GB to 2GB. But I had 2 slots covered with 512MB each. So I had to purchase 2 * 1 GB.

• Strains credulity but not the pocketbook.

  Compare these prices with those of a year or two ago, or for that matter with the same memory at Apple Store. These boards from Crucial are a mere fraction of the cost and are assembled in America to boot! (The ones installed by Apple are Korean.) Even if you have someone else do the installation, this is as safe and sensible a purchase as you're likely to make.
  
  Advantages: 1. Low-cost doubling of your computer's memory. 2. They fit my 13" Macbook (midsummer '07 edition). 3. The computer instantly saw them.
  
  Potential negatives: 1. Unlike an iMac or Mac desktop, which has just one cache to fill, the Mac notebook size requires purchasing two circuit boards and throwing out the old ones. 2. These gave me just a bit more trouble than previous installations of memory for an iBook. Desk-top installations are a cinch, but with the nano spaces of the Macbook it helps to have good light along with a jeweler's tools, eyes and hand coordination (one of the mite-sized screws refused to come out, and then another objected to going back in, making it an hour-long project).
  
  Is there an immediate, dramatic difference in speed and efficiency? I didn't even notice dramatic improvement after installing the latest Airport Extreme with "n" protocol, despite Apple's claims of quadrupling internet speed. With some of these things, it's the thought that counts.

• Incredible speed boost

  This RAM upgrade was great, had a Core Duo 1.66 GHz with 512 MB of RAM, went to 2 GB Dual-Channel, and the difference is incredible. Very fast computer, no lock ups, and excellent multi-tasking. Definitely recommended for users wanting a speed boost!

  This was super easy to install and works out great. We've had our Mac for just over a year and didn't think to upgrade the memory. I was to the point that if I had to watch that little rainbox spin one more time, I was going to throw the computer through the window. Needless to say, I never see the rainbow swirl... and I don't miss it.

  This is a great product which compares with Apple memory costing 6 times as much. I have been using it for months now without any failure. I have even installed OSx without any "cannot verify base system" errors. I highly recommend this as an alternative to the OEM's high prices.

  I purchased this product to upgrade the memory in my Gateway Tablet PC CX2750. My computer had shipped with Windows Vista Home Premium with 1GB of Ram. For the past few months, i've had nothing but problems with Internet Explorer crashing and Yahoo Messenger not working. I started using Sidebar to view the memory usage and noticed that it was running extremely high. Approximately 85% of my memory was in use at any given time. When I bought this product, I expected a slight improvement in performance, but boy was I wrong. With 2gb, my problems have gone away.

  I was so interested in buying ONE 2GB sodimm RAM... to upgrade mi ram from 1 gig to 3 gig....
  
  And I receive 2 1gig sodim...
  
  Maybe it`s the way crucial work I don't know... but they NEVER especified in their product that they were talking about 2x1GB SODIMMS instead of 1x2GB Ram...
  
  I hope next time they could be more specific.

• DOES NOT WORK WITH GATEWAY T1616

  This doesn't work correctly with a Gateway T1616. One stick will work on the first RAM Slot, but it will not work in the second RAM slot. However, the ram does work. I tried it on an HP laptop that works succesfull. And, the motherboard of the T1616 works with samsung 1 gig in each slot. But doesn't work when you place crucial's 1 gig in the second slot.

  After doing quite a bit of online research I found a general concensus that Crucial made quality ram chips. I found a very favorable price on their website which included free shipping (at the time). My shipment arrived very promptly in perfect condition. I had one incidence where I needed customer service and was able to speak to a tech immediately and rectify the problem. I like Crucial.
  
  
• Works great with old and new Macbook

  This works great with my 1 year old Macbook. During installation I thought I had pushed the RAM modules far enough into their slots, but after the MacBook failed to start up I took another look and found out that you really do have to push firmly and carefully past some initial resistance until the RAM goes in all the way. You may have to push harder than you think is normal, but seriously, you have to push pretty hard.
  Other than that I would like to note that my macbook was only allowed a maximum of 2g of RAM so check your system.
  Also the image is very deceiving it should be 2 sticks not one. I'll just upload an image so people like you won't get any more confusion!

• compatability problem

  Though I've had good luck with Crucial RAM modules when upgrading other laptops in the past, this 2GB set did not work for my Toshiba Satellite A205-S5804 even though the specs matched perfectly. I tried updating the bios but my *new* laptop would still not recognize them. I then took my laptop to a local retailer to see where the problem lay. He couldn't figure it out, but he placed two Kingston modules with the same specs in my computer and there was no problem. Is it possible that I got a dud? I'm not sure...If you have a Toshiba in this series, though, you may want to contact Crucial to make sure that their modules will work properly in your laptop.

  I use Vaio VGN-TZ18N and with just 1GHz of RAM using Vista, is not enough. Crucial 2GHz DDR2 667 provided me the optimum speed and way much of RAM available at all times. No CRUCIAL issue with the multiple applications open. I had to wait for weeks till this order was available because I wanted no RAM but Crucial.

  Since I installed this memories takes 20-30 seconds to use the computer, all software works very fine and quickly, i use Outook 2007, Nero 7, Adobe photoshop CS3, and vista gadgets like wheather, clock, wireless, notes, reclycle bin, calculator, football results without any problems or delayed..
