  • Party fun for kids and adults

    By A3E1JXR8IWVG5N on 2007-02-19
I own a Wii and an Xbox 360. I am coming to the realization that the reason why I have these two consoles is not just because I wanted the exclusively licensed game content for each (such as Zelda on the Wii or Halo on the Xbox), but it's becoming more and more apparent to me that the Xbox is my single-player console, and the Wii is my multiplayer console. I tend to play immersive first-person single player games that take advantage of the HD graphics and audio power of the Xbox 360, while the Wii is generally used to play multiplayer games, especially when we have friends over.

This game will not disappoint on that front. The action is frantic and hilarious. The microgames consist of dozens (Nintendo claims around 200 in total) of different tasks centered around a number of "forms" or starting positions. For instance, the first form you will encounter is the Remote Control, and you hold the Wiimote just like you're holding the TV's remote control. From this position you might be tasked with accomplishing anything from tossing some stir-fry in a saute pan to flipping pancakes, or shooting cans or even bouncing a tennis ball on a racquet. There are forms like "The Handlebars" where you hold the Wiimote crosswise with both hands, or "The Diner" where you hook up the nunchuk attachment and hold the two controllers like a fork and knife.

Pretty much every microgame is timed to last just a few seconds so you have to think - and act! - quickly. The more you play, the better you'll recognize the challenges, but that doesn't mean they're easy! Each type of microgame generally has at least three levels of difficulty, and in addition to getting harder you'll typically find that either you have less time as you get farther into a series of challenges.

The single-player game is really just about introducing the various forms and unlocking different activities, culminating in unlocking the multiplayer games. You should be able to complete the single-player portion in an hour or two to unlock multiplayer mode.

Multiplayer mode offers additional games (two to start, and playing through each one unlocks another game, which unlocks another, for a total of 7 or 8 multiplayer styles that accommodate anywhere from 2-12 players, depending on the game. This is where what I see as the first real shortcoming of Smooth Moves comes in... you can only use one Wiimote at a time. It seems pointless to force player to pass the Wiimote back and forth (especially since the action is usually happening fairly quickly, and Nintendo insists that you must wear the wrist safety strap, which can make it sometimes difficult to get ready in time for your turn). Allowing the use of up to 4 Wiimotes would be much preferable.

If you are not into the multiplayer experience, then you will definitely want to pass on this game. It's a fun game to run through, but after a few hours you would be bored out of your mind. This is primarily a party-oriented game for 2-4 players (though as I said, some games allow for up to as many as 12 players taking turns). It's kind of like the popular card game Uno.. not so much fun for two people, and much better with four - the more people you get playing the more fun it is for everyone. A lot of the games cause you to do crazy things that everyone will be laughing about so it's not a lot of just sitting around, waiting for your turn.

  • Amazing Fun for All Ages

    By A3V6Z4RCDGRC44 on 2007-01-24
I think the WarioWare games are brilliant. They are short, great fun, perfect for all ages, and incredibly inventive!

If you've never played WarioWare games before, you're in for a treat. These are definitely games that text your reflexes as well as your mental quickness. You are shown a silly situation in kid-like graphics and given only the barest of hints about what to do. You might see a man's face with beard stubble. You have to figure out that your task is to shave off the stubble before the timer runs out. You get 3 seconds.

Half the fun in this is laughing your fool head off as you try and fail to figure out the key to the puzzle - and then doing it fast enough to win. Each of the puzzles gets more complex as you get deeper into the game. Maybe the first time around you just have to dodge one ball with the marionnette. Then later you have to dodge two, or three. You'll be busy slashing with your samurai sword, balancing brooms, tracking down hidden people with a flashlight, and much more.

In addition to these games, there are also several mini-games you can unlock. You can play a fascinating breakout style game with a never-ending tower. Try balancing falling tetris-like shapes on a narrow board. There are TONS of profiles here so you can have friends over and let them create their own profiles. Some of the games even involve your Mii characters!

Let's see, what complaints can I have about this. The graphics are really cheezy - but they're *meant* to be cheezy. It adds to the cuteness of the game. There's really no plot. The plot is really that you have to complete a series of mini-games before the timers run out, and then get through a 'boss' which may or may not be challenging. Who cares, the games are all fun by themselves.

Add on to this the numerous ways you're told to hold your controller - like a samurai sword, like a mowhawk on your head, like an elephant trunk on your nose, like a waiter's plate. The variety is great fun - and the droning, zen-like voice that gives you the description of what to do is hilarious.

Highly, highly recommended for all ages!

  • Really Silly. Really Fun!

    By ABMGIZB91P76H on 2007-01-29
This is definately a polarizing game (as you can tell reading the reviews). This is the second game I've purchased for my Wii, and I think its a blast. Here are some observations:

    1. Definately weird. The story lines are zany, the actions are very silly and funny. Yeah, some of the tasks are kind of gross (picking a nose hair, for example), but come on... If this is offensive to you, you really need to get a life.

    2. Graphics: I can't believe people are complaining about the graphics. The game is beautiful. Scenes range from high-end anime to Atari 2600 style block graphics. The graphical depth and complexity is absolutely amazing. I have a feeling the folks complaining don't "get" art museums.

    3. Multiplayer: Can't comment yet... still working on the single player.

    4. Kids: I'm 33, and I love it. We had friends over this weekend, and their 7 and 10 year olds picked up the game right away and had a blast.

    5. Music: The music and beat of this game are addictive. Just try to tell me you weren't dancing along with the cheerleaders.

Overall, I think the game is amazing. If you're the type who only likes photorealism, and for whom gaming is serious business, I don't think this is the game for you. If you have an imagination, and aren't too inhibited to perform some silly moves, give Wario a shot.

  • At E3...

    By on 2006-06-27
I went to E3 and I was one of the luckiest to get to Play WARIO WARE SMOOTH MOVES for the wii. IT was easy, insane, and something everyone can pick up on in a number of seconds two thumbs up! (And for those of you thinking: How can a kid go to e3 i'm really a 23 year old who doesn't have an amazon account and I wanted to not sign up but write a review.) I'm sure I'll get this right when it comes out. WII ROCKS!!!

  • Great effort. Not my kind of game though.

    By A10X0JN8KTK89H on 2007-02-21
The best part of Warioware: Smooth Moves is trying to decide in a few seconds what the game is asking you to do. This can be a lot of fun initially, but the suspense wears off when you are no longer challenged by the three-second mini-games. I look for challenge and replay value above anything else in a game, because if it's too easy and/or forgettable, what is the point in investing in the game? For group gatherings, I prefer the free Wii Sports game suite that comes with the Wii console over Warioware: Smooth Moves.

Another reason that I don't find the game very appealing is that it has an attention-deficit quality to its design. Directions for performing mini-game tasks are presented for the duration of a second, and the subsequent game lasts around 3-5 seconds. After a dozen or so mini-games, there is a boss game that tends to last longer, but it doesn't have to. This kind of frantic change in perspective is the motivation behind the entire game, and if you aren't interested in that, the game doesn't offer you much.

On the positive side, the game does make great use of the Wii remote, and the presentation has a decent sense of humor. I admit that some of the mini-games made me laugh because they were either completely absurd or cute. The graphics are variable in quality, but they are purposefully tailored to each mini-game.

The story behind the game is quite silly and irrelevant to the game play, and the story mode of the game is quite short. Within an hour, you should be able to perform almost all of the different uses for the Wii remote.

Overall, I recommend Warioware: Smooth Moves as a rental first. I find the game to be overrated, and I'm certainly glad I didn't trust the reviews and dole out $50 unnecessarily. The game makes a good effort to incorporate the Wii remote, but I lost interest quickly.

  • Way overhyped
    By A2B2OHKCOELIP on 2007-01-30
I cant believe how much hype this game is getting and all the good reviews. Luckily I rented this game before I went out and bought and im sure glad I did (saved myself 50$). This is probably the most boring game ive ever seen in my life. The graphics rival that of a super nes (and im not even joking). All you do for the entire game is constantly do 3-4 second mini"games" that are childish at best. I cant remember the last time i've been more disapointed in a game that received such good reviews. I seriously recommend anyone interested to pick it up a game rental place before you buy it.

  • Dont understand the high ratings..........
    By A380TX48RBT4NV on 2007-05-21
This game is waaaay overrated. It is fun for about 2 mins. Stupid short mini games over and over again. I can see the appeal for little kids, but anyone over the age of 15......dont waste your time or money on this.

  • A very fun game for the entire family !!
    By A3KC5NVKRLDKDV on 2007-01-17
Okay for those reviewers that give this game a bad review because of the graphic, then you are not a true Warioware/Nintendo fan!

The graphic on the warioware has always been like this, retro classic, simple, yet maybe stupid, but that is the whole point of this game. Wii never intended to make its console the next gen graphic powerhouse, but instead it is it's innovation ideas of game play that make WarioWare stand out all the time.

Warioware for gamecube, for DS were awesome title! For wii, although sometime you have to make some awkward positions, but that IS the fun/core of this game. If you are looking for Warioware to have fancy 3D graphic like PS3/Xbox360, look elsewhere, but if you want some fun with your family and friends, this is the best Wii game out there right now to have some major fun with!!!

  • WarioWare Smooth Moves, skip it altogether, or prepare to be disappointed, I'd give it zeros stars if I could
    By A26HLB37OR5GIM on 2007-02-08
I have no idea who this game is designed for or why it some people are giving it good reviews. If I had purchased this game instead of renting it, I would have immediately been looking for a buyer. Like other reviewers have pointed out, the minigames are extremely simple and pointless. Shake the remote like a salt shaker, wow, you're on to the next game. Flip an imaginary pancake. Wow, next game. Point it like a flashlight...wow... Got it? Don't get it!

If you compare this game to Rayman Raving Rabids, Excite Truck, Zelda Twilight or Tony Hawk Downhill you will see a huge difference in level of design, imagination, ingenuity, graphics, forethought, programming, etc. The only thing this game has going for it is hype and a name people recognize.

  • Wario-Ware Smooth Moves
    By A1Z43OAXNKEY3 on 2007-06-03
This game has been rated by several reviewers (Gamespot, IGN) as the best game yet on the Wii. I would have to agree. This game is sooooooo much fun, and it is hilarious. There are over 250 "micro-games" which on average last about 5 seconds. This is not a problem, however, since there are just so many micro-games. You can unlock all sorts of games, like baloon trip, and brick stacking. (These are just longer more fun versions of the one you see in-game. The only thing that is bad about this game, is the length. You can probably beat it in an hour or two. This isnt a bug problem, for there is soooo much to do after you beat it. One cool character that yu play is an alien of some sort, in which you use the Wii Remote, and the nunchuck...very fun. There also is a multiplayer mode. Where there are 4 types of games to play. My favorite, is the survival, where you can use up to 16 or 24 players(cant remember which), and you are basically in a death match. They use your Mii and put it into an angle, and if you mess up on one game, your dead.
I recommend this game to anyone...buy it...fun to play with your friends.

  • Great Microgame Collection and Awsome Party Game
    By AXISPCYS9X82E on 2007-02-04
Warioware: Smooth Move for the Nintendo we is an amazing game. It makes full use of the Wii remote and also makes an awesome party game. Warioware features over 200 microgames. Microgames are super-short games that usually have one task to get done in them, and then you beat it. For example the task might be to stick a polygonal finger up a giant nose, roll a giant slab of meat to a village, or something as simple as answering a phone. Each of these microgames starts by telling you what "form" or what way to hold the Wii remote, these include holding Wii-mote as if it were an umbrella, holding it like you do when driving a car, and putting the Wii-mote down beside you. There are many more "forms" in this game, each one with a variety of microgames.

    Microgame design:
Most of the microgames are designed flawlessly, but a few are hard to understand and leave you wondering "What was I supposed to do?" at the end of them.
All of the games are always different and don't repeat the same task. Each game also has two or three levels, each one getting harder. The third level of some microgames are quite challenging.
Each game is quick and flows into the next one seamlessly. As the microgames go faster it gets harder to switch forms and to figure out what to do in the next microgame, but either by sheer luck or quick thinking it is definitely possible.
Also many of the microgames are based on older Nintendo games. These include games like The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Pikmin. These are fun riffs on the original game and feel good to play.

    Graphics:
When you're playing a microgame for only 2-8 seconds at a time you want variety and you don't need realistic 3-D. Warioware has exactly that, variety. There are many games with 8-bit graphics or odd polygonal 3-D and not so many games with normal 3-D, even of the Gamecube level. All of these graphic categories add an even more weird tone to the game, but also adds more fun.

    Gameplay:
The gameplay is simply amazing awe-inspiring, and marvelous. Everything in the gameplay works great and the Wii-mote responds to your actions immediately. The games all inspire you to stand up and over-act what really only takes a tiny motion. As the games fly by faster and faster it gets harder to keep up with action and also harder to think well. What usually would come easily becomes a race of thoughts and a giant laugh for a crowd.

    Multiplayer:
The multiplayer mode in this game is also amazing. You can play with up to 12 players which makes this the ultimate party game. You pass a single Wii-mote around turning it into a hot potato of laughs and enjoyment. As you throw around the Wii-mote the games start faster and faster. This allows for more mistakes, more jokes, and even more laughs.

    Single Player:
The way that the single player mode works is by you going to different places on a map. At each place you will play a series of microgames and then, if you complete them all, unlock a new series. Before you play each set of games there will be a short cartoon that sets up the next set of games. All the cartoons are witty and although they have nothing to do with the nonexistent main plot they are quite fun to watch. Like many other reviews have said, the single player is very short, by the time you have the option of watching the credits, you haven't played or unlocked nearly half the microgames and there are still multiple modes to unlock. If you want to unlock all of the microgames it will double the gameplay time of the original single player. This still isn't a particularly long game, but that isn't what it's about.

    Overall:
This an amazing game with a wonderful multiplayer mode and a very large variety of microgames. Although the single player is short, the game more than makes up for it in replay value and multiplayer. This game is well worth $50.00 and shows off the Wii's gameplay the best of all the games for the Wii released right now.

  • Serious Spastic Fun
    By A1MIQ9VQ1Q6Y9G on 2007-01-20
This is the ultimate ADD game. You get to play 5 second game after 5 second game (maybe it's more like 3 seconds). There is a lot of creativity in how to make the controller do different things and there is a lot of humor in this game.

It's mostly 2d. The story/plot is mostly silly but the intros to each of the ways in which you hold the controller is brilliant.

I just finished Zelda a few weeks ago and loved it. This game, on the other hand, allows for progress in 2 minutes to 2 hours. I'm 39 and my daughter is 10 and we both have had fun playing this game together. It's also a great party game (once you unlock the multi-player mode).

There are a few micro-games where the controls just seem out of whack, but that does not take away from the enjoyment of playing the game.

Don't buy this game looking for anything deep or significant. Do buy it for some fun.

And look forward to future WII games that build on the creativity of using the controller forged in this game.

  • This game is awful.
    By A20C65HHKDBLAK on 2007-01-28

Good grief, I can't believe anyone likes this terrible game.

Bought this game for our daughter. She's young, so we were trying to get her some hand eye coordination experience that this game promised. Like holding a broom in the palm of your hand, but with the wii remote. Or pumping up a balloon with the remote held horizontal.

Well the format this game presents all of this is a horrible, not so fun house of adolescent graphics (they are awful!) -- & in a relatively cold and scary presentation too.

You also can't do all of the "forms" -- like holding the broom -- until you have progressed through the ridiculous game itself and encountered it.

And some of the "forms" the game forces you through are tasteless and just downright junk... like picking a nose (again with graphics like I draw on a piece of paper) ... or "shooing" a bunch of undiscernable images with a stinky skunk on the end of a stick (you just wave the remote like nuts and they all go away ... just ridiculous).

We still love our wii ... the sports games are great. Let's hope the games these guys develop get held up to the same standard of excellence the base system has ... the other games being sold separately so far look cheap and horrible.

  • Too short to be sweet.
    By A3V8OAYFBBEHG1 on 2007-04-23
This game, I must say, was incredibly fun. The controls were easy to get the hang of, and the instructions were very amusing. However, and hour and a half later, the fun was over, because we had finished the game. Yeah, that's right, BEAT THE GAME. I hadn't entirely given up hope yet, though. I mean, it's the Wii, so the multiplayer must be good!

Wrong. The multiplayer mode in this game, what should have been the selling point for this product, was actually the deal breaker. If you are familiar at all with the Wario Ware genre, you know that it is a series of minigames. Well, for those who don't know, these minigames are around 5 second long each. Now, the multiplaer mode in this game takes on the form of a battle between the players, where one tries to outlast the other. The thing is, they have you switch off and take turns, instead of both going at once. Here's where the problem is; there is no second controller option. You actually have to pass the wiimote back and forth, which is very hard to do in the 2 second span between each 5 second game. So it ends up being this impossible juggling contest, and half the time losingbecomes your opponents fault because the damn strap got stuck (and you have to use the strap, because some of the moves require it). So the multiplayer is waaaay too frustrating to bother with.

Maybe if this game were like ten dollars it would be a good buy. But an hour and a half or so of game play with no other real features is NOT worth more than that. Do yourself a favor, kids, and rent it. You'll feel better in the morning, when you still have some money for a game that will last longer than one afternoon.

  • Fun & Crazy for EVERYONE
    By A3J00QP1BCRM05 on 2007-01-16
To begin, i am 26 years old. I felt like quite the douche buying this in the store. Anyways, I was glad that I picked it up though!

It is fast and crazy and nutty, I like it. Go buy this game.

  • WARIO AND MII
    By A2D4SNPLR1COTD on 2007-01-17
WARIOWARE IS BACK WITH GREAT NEW FUN.I WAS ABLE TO GET THE FINAL COPY @ BEST BUY TODAY. THE GAME GOOD FOR LAUGH ONCE AND AWHILE. WHAT HAPPENS IS: WARIO HAS COME UPON AN ANCIENT TOOL WHICH EVERYONE IN DIAMOND CITY WANTS. AT SOME POINTS THE GAME CAN BECOME QUITE CHALLENGING. IF YOU WANT PRATICE JUST DO THE MICROGAMES AGAIN AND AGAIN. A GOOD GAME FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

  • A bunch of random 2-5 second games, not that great
    By A1RL9UAGB7EVRP on 2007-02-01
This game is just a large game of reaction games. There are very few minigames you actually get to do something that lasts longer than the 2-5 seconds. There are a few that got laughs but most of the time you have to do them so fast you don't have time to process and by the time you finish you are on to the next one. I couldn't get this to work with 2 wiimotes so I had to share one, and with the fast pace it was a pain. I think the new Wiiplay will far outshine this when it is released. This game is way overhyped and overrated. Myself, my 2 nephews agree.

  • If you like to sit around playing games alone for hours, it's not worth $50
    By AJ7SUPT264BX4 on 2007-02-10
And that's the point. I've gotten my $50 worth in social game time in just two weeks of owning it. How often, when hanging out with adult friends, is it the girlfriends who say, "Let's play video games!"? If you're an overanalytical nerd who actually uses phrases like, "serious gaming" (in reference to Halo or Final Fantasy or Civilization or whatever), you'll hate it. If you have a cultivated sense of humor and know how to leave the house once in a while, you'll appreciate the frantic gameplay and ironic cutscenes.

  • Don't waste your money
    By A39CWM2QAXC5UV on 2007-02-16
In less than an hour, my son completed the entire game. Don't let the description fool you - all the "games" included in this only last a few seconds. A huge waste of $50.

  • Crazy game...
    By A2MTR11NBZLV3M on 2007-03-02
This game is insane, but it's a good insane. The objective of the game is to go across the map to different character's homes and complete their fast series of mini games in a specific set time while not messing up more than four or five times. When you complete a level, another character's location on the map will appear and you are able to continue your travel this way. The mini games are extremely fun and really out there in subject matter. For example, you might have to cut someones fingernails, shake flies off of a banana, pick a nose, hula-hoop, answer a telephone, balance falling blocks, drive a car through a twisty road, fly a plane through a battle zone, etc. This game doesn't lie when it says there are over 200 mini-games, there is always something different and very little repetition. Each character's level you are on has their own little entertaining movie story.

As others have mentioned, this is definitely a party game. The only downside is that you have to beat a certain amount of levels before you can open the multi-player option. However, I still think that even with single player and trading off with each other that the game is extremely fun and entertaining. It is also good for all ages, but the little ones may need help on a few of the mini-games as they get more difficult as the games go along. Even so, I highly recommend it for those out there that don't mind a bit of pointless, plotless fun. Great for kids.

  • Very addicting
    By A3O5C9QBDX96T2 on 2007-01-24
My husband and I just got this game the other day and it is so much fun. We laugh at some of the mini games because they are so funny. Who would have thought we would have been picking nose hairs with a video game. hehe. You will understand once you play the game. Its definately fast paced. Luckily once you play the mini games in the fast paced mode you can go to a differant part of the game that allows you to practice just the ones you are having a hard time with. It definately utilizes what this system is meant to do. You won't regret this purchase.

  • Fun game
    By A2NK834I4OTEFT on 2007-06-10
I really enjoyed playing this game. The games are fun, creative, and it is challenging. However, it feels pointless to play it on single player after you complete the game. I haven't really been drawn to it since the levels are finished.

  • Worthy addition to a great series
    By AOZ5F9Y2Z5XAF on 2007-01-29
Im a huge fan of warioware, and this game certinly isnt a letdown. You use thw wii-mote to do all kinds of crazyness. Many members of the warioware cast are here. Wario, Mona, Jimmy, 9-volt and their friends all appear here. Some new people are here too, like Jimmy P., Penny, and Young Cricket all make their first appearence.

You have to hold the wii-mote a different way for each game. For example, holding it sideways is called, 'boxer' and holding it like a pencil is 'sketch artist.' Before each game, they tell you how to hold it. This however does not interupt the gameplay at all.

Another cool part is the inclusion of miis. In one game, for example, your mii must arm wrestle another mii. Kind of cool.

My friends complain its too hard to figure out what you have to do in each game. But its easy to figure it out if you actually *gasp* USE YOUR BRAIN! you may not beat a level the first time through, but once you get used to it, you'll do fine.

This makes a great party game. It has multiplayer, in which you pass around the wii-mote and take turns playing. Also, when your friends aren't playing, you get to laugh at them. Lots of fun for everyone!

  • Best In Its Series, Yet Best Of Its Console!
    By A2SIK6OPLLY79J on 2007-06-22
This has got to be the best Wii game released yet! Over 200 crazy microgames (205 to be exact) to play! Probably the best Warioware additon so far!

There are only a few...disadvantages that this game has:

    1) Lack of Instruction: For every microgame, there are instructions that consist of one or two words and are only shown for a split second before the microgame starts. Most of the microgames have self-explanatory instructions, but a select few are much too vague, and will have you going to the Temple of Form and doing them over and over again until you get them.

    2) Lack of "Juiciness": When I say juiciness, I mean how fun a game is to play after doing all of the things the game has to offer. After you unlock all of the microgames, minigames, Elephant buildings, etc., the game is pretty much useless, with the only reason to play it being to see how a certain microgame went.

... Other than that, this game is great! It has me thinking about getting Warioware: Twisted! already!

P.S. If you haven't already noticed, the title screen is like a mini game in itself. Play around with the Wiimote on this screen and see what I mean!

  • Very fun game! Perfect for the Wii!

This game is perfect for the Nintendo Wii, because it shows off how much fun the groundbreaking Wii remote can be! You have to twist & shake & turn & bend the remote in all sorts of fun ways in order to play this game.

In fact, I feel that this game should be the very first game that all new Nintendo Wii owners should add to their collection. I actually feel that Nintendo should have included this game for free with the Wii instead of the built-in sports package -- it's more fun than the Wii Sports collection.

Fun for kids of all ages, WarioWare Smooth Moves is actually the PERFECT PARTY GAME! This is probably the most fun Wii game you could whip out for a group of drunk or party-minded adults... as well as the most fun game you could whip out for your 6-year-old kid as well! My adult friends are all hooked on this game, and so are their young kids as well! How many games can you honestly say entice both kids & adults? This is one of them. WarioWare Smooth Moves is fun & frantically paced.

There is really no storyline at all, although they do try to squeeze in some ill-placed plot elements which simply don't make any sense at all. Luckily, you can skip through the weird & annoying storylines which add absolutely nothing to this game, and skip straight to the important part: the hundreds of very short, 3-second long MICROGAMES!

Yes, that's right -- MICROGAMES! You don't even have any time to think about the game you just finished, because you're already halfway through the next game and you only have 3 seconds to win each game! THREE SECONDS to win a game! At first, you don't even think your brain can handle information coming at you that quickly, and then as you continue to play the game & get better at it, you actually start speeding up your thinking so much that you actually feel like time is moving in slow motion during those 3 seconds.

Some of the microgames include: save the woman from falling off the skyscraper; shake the flies off the banana; spin the pizza; deflect the balls that are flying at you; reunite the lovers on a desert island; find the missing kid in the dark; close the grocery store for the night; swat the fly; don't fall off the beachball; drink the glass of water; turn off the alarm clock.

The games get more furious & more fast-paced as you play, and it just keeps building up to explosive fun & laughter amongst you & your friends.

If you are a Wii owner and want to add a fun & unique game to your collection, absolutely add WarioWare Smooth Moves to your collection. At the time of this writing, this is currently my favorite party game in my entire Wii collection.

Wow can't wait to get my hands on this wacky crazy awsome game just by the look of it that I seen online it looks cool! It looks like a fun game to have and a tone of weird levels you have to do. And its really cool what features you can do with the wiimote and in different awsome ways that you probably would of never though of using it that way. Its a great game to play with your family or friends. So if you were able to get a Wii like me dring the holiday season I definitely recomen you geting this game if your into weird and zany games.

  • not worth the money spent
    By A2G3ZQF48SAW8Z on 2007-01-16
This game has a few redeeming qualities, like it does use the Wii remote. Other than that it is not even close to worth the money I spent on it. The graffics are something I would epect to see on an old school Nintendo, not one of the hottest new game systems on the market. There is hardly any use of 3D, so far only one of the over 100 mini games has used decent 3D. Most of the animations are super cheezy anime style. When they turn they dissapear. I realy wish I could go back in time and NOT buy this game.

  • True to Warioware Series
    By A2IYHYNNOPPGUO on 2007-01-19
Smooth Moves is very quirky and does not make much logical sense. It has an abstract Japanese style to it with silly anime cutscenes before each series of microgames. Yet this newest installment of the Warioware series is merely staying true to its strangely entertaining roots.

The single player game on Smooth Moves is very short. It only really takes 3 hours to beat the whole game, but after doing so you unlock 2 multiplayer games; darts and the classic Wario Ware game. After you play each of those games once, you unlock other multiplayer games. In the end, I think there are 8 multiplayer games, some of them better than others. There are also some additional single player minigames to be unlocked such as brick tennis, a balloon capturing flying game, target-shooting, brick balance, etc. They are all pretty fun in my opinion, though graphically they take a very minimal, 2D approach.

If you're looking for a graphically enhanced single player game, stay far away from Smooth Moves. However, if you enjoy a wacky party game and want to experience the different ways a Wiimote can be used, Smooth Moves may be a good buy.

  • Hilarious and fun for the whole family (Review from son)
    By A3T0KD3E324YV3 on 2007-01-20
This is a wonderful game and very funny the stances range from a normal remote sance to the mohawk stance holding the remote above your head. The whole family loves it and we fight over whos turn it is at times. I recomend this game to all if you want to have a good time. this game could range to a good 150+ hours to beat. You also get 16 different slots. Even mom loves to play this game and she isn't big on playing video games. This game is definatly worth the money!

  • Best use of the Wii remote so far
    By A1J1SYMSXYQDKT on 2007-01-29
This game is the most creative (and most bizarre) use of the Wii system so far. It requires an absolute lack of shame, since you'll be doing some pretty bizarre things, and a wacky sense of humor.

The only real gripe I have for the game is that its multi-player aspect is a weak. The majority of the games are all "knock out" games. So if your friend makes one mistake, the game is over for him. It makes for extremely short contests unless you have a ton of people playing. Further, it only uses one remote, so you're frantically passing a remote back and forth (which is a pain given the strap).
