Best bang for the buck By A1T2AUN2AJ45PQ on 2007-03-19
My wife owns the gunmetal black high end v-moda earbuds and to tell the truth, those have NOTHING on these as far as sound (except for looking cooler and costing twice as much). Yes, they may be a little more durable (and heavy) due to material (metal vs plastic), but as far as sound goes, you will NOT be disappointed with these. Now having said that, you must experiment with the various ear inserts so that you get the one that fits "just right". But when you find that, you will be amazed at the sound of these. They are also extremely comfortable.
Lovin' them so far! By A1VL5GXU8X30MC on 2007-03-02
I bought a Sansa E-250 (reviewed elsewhere) which I really like. I thought the sound was good but I didn't care much for the earbuds. They were quite uncomfortable after wearing them awhile.
I began shopping around for replacements, but shopping online is difficult because you can't test the sound or the comfort. So, I relied on the good reviewers here at Amazon. My search led me to these V-MODA Bass Freq earbuds. I chose the black.
The only negative to these earbuds is the difficulty in getting them out of the packaging. Once that was done, I plugged them into the E-250 and gave them a try. You really need to experiment with all the earpieces. I started with the small but they were too loose to give good sound and they fell out. Like Goldilocks, I kept trying the different sizes, until I found the best fit. Once you find the best fit, you will also experience the best sound.
I was extremely pleased with the sound of these earbuds. They are far better than the ones that came with the Sansa and WAY more comfortable. I have not touched the equalizer yet, because I'm pleased with the sound, but I'll probably experiment with it to see if I can improve the sound even more.
These earbuds are a great bang for the buck. They sound great and are comfortable in the ears. It's a totally new listening experience.
Definitely best for the price. By AHY2KG32696ES on 2007-02-05
I've gone through tons of earbuds of different brands at different price ranges. I really like V-Moda: 1. The medium size silcone buds fit in my ear perfectly. They are soft and confortable (better than Sony's). So, they can stay in my ears for a long time. 2. The price, I think, is really good. It seems like most of the decent (but not ridiculously overpriced)earbuds are now priced around 100 USD--like Bose Triport in-ear, SONY MDR-EX90LP,V-Moda Vibe 3. Bass Freqs are also surprisingly really loud (not just because the fit into my ears and block the ambient sound out). Even at high volumes, I am surprised that bass, mids and highs of (128 kbps MP3 files) remain undistorted. My complaint is that the bass is not well balanced for all kinds of music. I feel the bass is too loud and somewhat overpowers the mids. The highs aren't as crisp as I would have liked. That said, considering for the price that I paid for these, I am not sure if there are anything out there in the same price range that are significantly better than the Bass Freqs. I'd like to try the VModa Vibes but they cost twice as much. I'm very happy with the Bass Freqs.
Bass but at what expense? By A4537HQNEWYRG on 2007-03-25
Unfortunately, the design team succeeded in providing lots of bass which, in my opinion, is overwhelming. The big, boomy bass is muddied, not at all tight and tends to greatly diminish the mids and distort the highs. The bass is overtly prevalent throughout the frequency range. Soundstage is almost meaningless. Separation of instruments cannot be distinguished. Vocals sound harsh and nasal-like. Perhaps these are decent if you listen to nothing but bass heavy music, but they are not at all balanced and will cause some weary listening after an hour or so. These certainly are not for acoustic, vocal, jazz, or classical listening.
I did find them comfortable enough, but the build quality appears to be inferior to other similarly-priced phones. Overall, I do not feel they offer a good buy...too much hype, and not enough substance unless, as I implied, you really need this amount of bass and consider yourself a true basshead.
the great midrange massacre By A3ORSUIY0SLV6X on 2007-06-01
Bought these because of the CNET review..teaches me to trust an internet magazine with audio reviews.
Anyway, unless you are 16 years old, or addicted to overpowering bass, you won't like these. They sound like the subs in my car when I was 16- overpowered, cheap, and muddy. Or like the bass boost function on a $30 boom-box from GPX. Sorry, no thanks.
To be fair, some kinds of music DO sound good in these...specifically house/electro and hip-hop, but pretty much all rock from hardcore to acoustic sounds like the frequency range dips out at 8k.
On the plus side...they are really good at blocking outside noise...I couldnt hear anything with them in. They're comfortable as well.

Since my ear canals are small, the earphones that came with my new iRiver Clix did not fit at all. So for the first time, I really went looking for a new pair of earphones. I was also looking to get the most out of my Clix. I went onto Cnet reviews and read about the Shure's, the Etymotic's, and the Sennheiser's. The Sennheiser CX300-B was the only one in my price range. Forget them. The Sennheiser's were too bassy for me; they drown out the treble. I eventually lucked on the reviews for the V-Moda's. They were rated excellent by Cnet, and I concur. The V-Moda's are better and cheaper than the Sennheiser's. The bass thump's, but does not drown out the middle and high ranges. If you only have about $40-$50 bucks to spend, spend it on the V-Moda Bass Frequency Earphones, even if you are a music purist. You can always adjust the bass, if your player has a graphic equalizer.
- looking for decent sound with a little bump in the bass? Look elsewhere...
     By A7GYT6QLAMCCQ on 2008-01-17
I had high hopes for these based on some of the reviews and bought them as a gift for a bass-hungry music lover, and even he couldn't tolerate them. They sound worse than the 'phones that come with your iPod. Significantly worse. The bass is overpronounced to an *extreme* degree (to the point of making listening almost physically painful), the low-mids are muddy, the upper-mids are nowhere to be found and the high end is tinny and abrasive. I tried these with several styles of music, and I didn't find one with which they sounded flattering. Spoken word recordings and podcasts were the only tolerable files with these earbuds. The pads make an almost squishy sound when being inserted into your ear canal. Neither of the three sets of pads felt comfortable in my ear. The seal is fairly tight, but the audio quality, especially when listening to music, was really unacceptable, almost painful, as stated before. And the buds seem to continuously work their way slowly out of your ear. Unless you are incredibly insensitive to heavy bass pressure on your eardrum, or listen to spoken word recordings only, I'd steer clear of these. Too bad, because the price is great and they look decent as well.
- Dont be to quick with impressions
     By A22AHIPDPV2EEU on 2007-02-08
I purchased this on Jan.18th 2007 after many debatable and personal hesitance. You know how it is when you read these customer reviews, some look for the negatives on the product. Then when you see a positive review sometimes you get that thought "yes!" Well, I am one of those shoppers. Getting back to these earbuds: When these "V-MODA Bass Freq Earbuds - Bling Bling Black" earbuds showed up I was excited. I immediately and carefully unpacked these buds. The packaging was very good. The buds were packed not just in styrophome peanuts but the manufacturer packaging as well.
I inspected them carefully and I immediately noticed how small they were. That long stem you see is 3/4" long & 1/8 in diameter. The cord from the bottom of that stem to the end of the plug is 46 1/2" long (or 3'10 1/2" long). The outer shell is constructed with plastic. Included were 3 sizes (S.M.L) of rubber fittings. I use the mediums. The plug itself is 1/8" gold-plated.
I plugged these "V-MODA Bass Freq Earbuds - Bling Bling Black" into my 1gigabyte sandisk m240. My first impression was a mixture of awe and disappointment. "YUCK! Where in the heck is the bass that these are supposed to produce!?" So I made some adjustments with the equalizer and they sounded a little better but...the sound wasn't as I expected. I went back to the internet to do MORE research. If any of you are educated on sound quality you have to take into consideration of the source that is powering the drivers (or speakers) so I thought it was my MP3 player.
I stumbled onto a review and read from a customer that sometimes speakers need to be "burned-in". I am well aware of that term as I am an advanced computer gamer/geek. For those that don't know here's what that means; the burn in process is to leave them on at a moderately high level for a period of time. This technique will break in the drivers, after the burn-in, sound quality increases dramatically. There is a significant increase in the sharpness of the treble (I believe the frequency response goes up), and the spacialization was noticeably enhanced. The bass (or lower end) is also deepened. Though this is a highly debatable subject I am merely giving you an option to consider before you make a final impression. Please make your own opinion on this subject.
Some report the speakers sound great out of the box and they did not hear significant differences over time. Others found harshness and restricted bottom end to be very distinct or improved (Depending upon how much you use the speakers in question) Alternatively, you can leave your MP3 player run unattended for the life of a battery. (If applicable). This is something you may want to consider or try. I found doing this made a huge difference.
Getting these earbuds fitted properly takes time. Adjustments are a must to get the most out of these earbuds. Experiment with them, use all of the rubber fittings and move them around in your ear. When you get the right sound to your liking try to keep and remember where you place them. Now this is where I find an issue. I use my MP3 player when I walk. I don't jog so I can imagine the frustration of keeping these buds in place. Yes, these buds do lose that position as I explained above. I have to keep adjusting them around depending upon my physical movements. The cord was also an issue with me. In my opinion it is a bit delicate at the plug and at the stem. What I did was wrap some black electrical tape around the wire at the base of the plug to give it some support for that 'just-in-case'. I recommend that you take some precautions and use these buds with care as you should with any earbuds.
My final thought: I give these earbuds a 4 star rating because of the cord and the construction but these earbuds are awesome! The sound that these buds produce is very close to what they claim what they can do. A problem of how well these stay in place is a issue with me and may be with you as well. I don't jog so I will assume that this may be a HUGE problem for those that do. If you have the extra cash get the "V-MODA Vibe Earbuds - Gunmetal Black style". These may be sturdier. I tested the ones I purchased with various music styles and I am very pleased. I wanted to hear how much bass these buds can produce so I played some rap music. WOW! There is a definite `thump' that these buds have.
I recommend that when you play MP3 format to use a high bit rate of 320kpbs. I cannot comment on the other formats and/or bitrate as I don't use them. Listening to FM radio with these buds is also a very enjoyable experience. The sound is amazing! For the money I spent on these, I feel it is well worth it. Give them some time before you make your final impression (A month like I did). Good luck and I hope you find these enjoyable as I do.
- Broke after 2 weeks
     By A138QKR9XG6228 on 2007-05-19
They sound terrific, but lost sound out of left ear after only two weeks! Wires are too flimsy!
- Great sound while they last.
     By A2HJ9MDNH5BHSF on 2007-10-06
For my iPod, I used the apple earbuds for a while. I probably put them through all hell and they still worked great. I just found them to be uncomfortable. I got these V-Moda's to replace them. They sounded great, but are exceedingly fragile. They broke within a week. I am a typical college student, so I always just put my computer, iPod, whatever else in my bookbag. The apple earbuds lasted and held up well, these didn't. The plastic is incredibly thin and the earphones cracked for no apparent reason. I am extremely disapointed and am sending them back.
- OK, but not great for working out
     By AANXKF9QVBIKQ on 2007-11-24
I have the "Bling Bling Black" Bass Freq's and they sound better than most of the earbuds I have tried. However, the rubber earpieces get really slippery when they're wet, so they slip out very easily when I work out. They're fine for use travelling, but I would not recommend if you will be using while exercising.
- Surprised and Disappointed
     By A3C3ZIEZPKAKHY on 2007-10-09
I'm very surprised at the ratings and reviews this product has received. The ipod earphones are much better, have better bass and are less expensive. These are tinny and screechy by comparison, and are not comfortable.
- These headphones replicate the club scene down to the bone
     By A3L4O1N5VVEPVH on 2007-10-24
So you're probably thinking why I gave these v-moda bass freq headphones such a low rating with such a cool title for this review. Well, have you ever been to a club? Do you know what its like to stand right next to the speaker and get blasted with air pushing sound waves? While that sounds rather entertaining, it's important to know that most clubs focus on bass and not nearly enough mids and highs and thats exactly how I can describe the bass freq in-ear headphones.
After reading the reviews other people gave, as well as CNET's, I thought I was thoroughly convinced these were the end-all plugs. I got them today, opened them up with earie excitement. To even more excitement I plugged them into a audio device (such as my ipod) and began playing some tunes. The songs I play are generally of the Electronica genre (Trance, Dance, House, IDM, Electro, etc). I also dj (dj polaski). Anyways, I plugged them in and WOW, the bass was amazing, in fact, it was very pure - not muddy or sluggish. However, the highs and mids were very plugged up.
I swear, the highs were almost indistinguishable from the mids and the mids were swallowed by the bass. It was such a horrible sound that it literally sucked the enjoyment out of any song I played. I even played bass heavy tracks, but the more bass, the less mids/highs. I don't know what people are listening to when they say these are great headphones. I'd rather listen to my over-the-head Sony MDR-V6 cans on the streets, in utter embarrassment, rather than listen to these plugs. I tried to EQ off of winamp, and it helped a little, but the overall quality of the sound after was hollow and uneventful.
While they look cool, any functionality out of these things quickly make them ugly. I cannot believe CNET rated these things as an 8.
The good thing about these headphones was the pure bass it created. Mentioned before, the bass was not muddy, sluggish, constrained. It really was a pure sound. Almost better than my sony cans (over-the-ear headphones for those who dont know). I thought that buying these things for my trance/techno music would have enhanced them. But every time I listen I have a yearning for those awesome mids/highs that make trance/techno so beautiful. I also tried some rock songs thinking that perhaps v-moda had a personal vendetta again electronic style music, but to my dismay, it was more of the same, and worse. Can you imagine a bass guitar drowning out ALL of the drums hi-hats and cymbals? Can you imagine a bass guitar drowning out all of the singing like it was staged under water? Jesus spoke the truth in parables, I find that I thats the only way I can do it in order to get you to understand.
Ok, enough about my opinion, a little more about the product. The product is pretty light, the plugs themselves seem a little flimsy, but that could be me. The colors are cool, I have the orange/camo color which is kind of ugly but it was cheapest of the colors. There are three different sizes of silicon fittings. I found no different in the sizes. You'll know when you have them in right when you can hear the bass. Any leak between the fittings and the ear and the bass will leak. The cable manager really doesn't manage well only because the length of the entire cord, from plug to plugs (no pun intended) is REALLY short.
Overall my recommendation of these things is NIL. I won't ever purchase these again. In fact, the same day I bought them is the same day I'll be returning them. I'm so disappointed. It's also important to note that I know what I'm doing when I'm using plugs. Some other people who write these reviews will argue that the people who didn't give the bass freq a good score didn't know how to use the plugs right. Well, I say that those who gave the bass freq a GOOD review obviously put the plugs in the wrong hole, because there was nothing outstanding about them.
All in all, V-Moda was right, these plugs definitely replicate the club scene - overpowering bass that drown out every other kind of sound.
- Great sound quality can't save their cheapness.
     By A2N5E7GHNBFFO5 on 2007-03-02
It has been established already that these headphones offer great bass quality at an affordable price, and for that they earn my applause, but every review I have read fails to mention their one greatest flaw. These headphones don't last.
I bought my bass-freq headphones several months ago and for a while I was really pleased with them. The sound quality was great with lots of bass, just the way I like it, and I really liked their noise-canceling capabilities. If you had asked me to rate them a few months ago, I would without a doubt have given them a 5/5. However, some time after I bought them I noticed the casing around the wire had begun to separate where the wire split off to the left earpiece, revealing the bare wire underneath. I immediately covered the spot with electrical tape, which did hamper their overall look, but I no longer felt like a walking fire hazard. Shortly after, I noticed that more bare wiring was exposed below the right earpiece. Again, I covered the spot to the best of my ability, but their cheapness was beginning to make itself apparent. More time passed, and the sound became shoddy. I had to bend the wire a certain way where it connected to my mp3 player to get the normal quality sound, which was a pain. Before long it was impossible to get any kind of decent sound out of them anymore. After only four and a half months I retired my v-moda bass-freqs to the trash can, sorely disappointed.
If you don't mind replacing your headphones every four months, you wont find a better pair for the price. Otherwise, look elsewhere, because these things just aren't built to last.
- Great Headphones
     By ACZ24JBZAFNK8 on 2007-04-26
I bought these after buying and returning the high end v-moda earbuds. I actually prefer the sound of these to the ones that I returned. Sound is crisp and clear with a decent amount of bass. It does take a while to find the perfect fit but after you do you won't be disappointed.
- good sound but FRAGILE product
     By ARKP3OE24RSJH on 2007-06-04
I loved this product. The sound was great and the earbuds were very comfortable. BUT....be very careful with this product. My MP3 fell from my beltclip only one time while wearing the earbuds and the standup adapter bent in two! It snapped off completely. I expected these more expensive earbuds to be a little bit more sturdy than that. Again, great sound but very, very fragile.
- aw, snap, guess what i saw!
     By A3CRIO6Q6QA2WC on 2007-06-22
Poorly packaged. I went to remove the ear buds from their package and because the design is so bad, a black piece snapped off the left bud. You need to be VERY delicate when removing them because of the Nimrod design of the container. Last time I will buy a V-MODA product. $30 down the toilet.
- Comparing under $100 earbuds...
     By AOJQW6XXCD058 on 2008-02-11
Here on Amazon, I have been on a week-long mission reading various reviews to find some "great sounding earbuds" for under $100. I primarily use them for the gym and also for traveling. I had a set of the Sony MDR51s but after 2 years of constant use the cables started to fray.
Therefore, I purchased the earbuds listed below to compare sound quality. I would rank them in this order:
1. Audio Technica ATH-CK7 ($89)
2. Sony-MDR81 ($32)
3. Shure-SE110 ($99)
4. V-Moda Bass-Frequency ($25)
The ATH-CK7 was by far the best sounding earbud. The sound quality was great! The ATH-CK7s have a tight sounding bass with some slight "boom" factor (which does not sound artificial). As well as clear highs and solid midrange. They also have good noise isolation.
The ATH-CK7 are a good compromise between the very neutral (boring) sounding professional quality Shures's and the lower priced "artificially-produced bass heavy" Sony and V-Modas. Overall the ATH-CK7 sound quality is clear and precise with a natural sounding bass response. If you do not have much $$$ to spend I would go with the Sonys if you don't mind the thin, strange asymmetrical cables. The sound quality is good for the price.
With the ATH-CK7, you get the usual extras - a vinyl pouch and 3 different sized earbuds. The cables are medium sized and not "thick" like the Shure's or thin like the Sony's. As a previous reviewer mentioned the titanium body of these headphones feel solid and well made.
I am very happy I compared a few brands because the differences are huge! I hope this helps with your purchase.
BTW... I am not quite an audiophile but I do enjoy good quality sounding music. I mostly listen to rock when using earbuds.
- Excellent
     By AGVTO9JYUNSDR on 2006-08-27
I have an obsession for headphones, constantly trying out any new ones on the market. These headphones are astonishing for the clarity and accuracy of tone; the bass in an "in ear" headphone is astonishing.
I highly recommend them.
I can also highly recommend the shipper, which performed as promised.
- Sweet !
     By A1KBG8JJE27HZT on 2007-04-27
I had read many reviews by many customers of a variety of headphones. I was leary of hi and low-end products. I sought the mid-range. Its kinda unknown territory this on-line purchasing of unseen, untested merchandise. I read some pretty good reviews about this V-Moda line. When the product finally arrived and I listened, well to say I was amazed would be an understatement. I do love the sound these earbuds produce. They are amazing. I am very pleased with the sound quality in the highs and especially the bass - WOW!. The audio cable is a little thin, so be careful of them. The earbuds stay in my ear very well. I use the adapters that were on the earbuds out of the box. The noise cancelling feature is outstanding. I work in an industrial environment with very loud machines and I think these work better than my ear plugs. The music makes work more tolerable. I would highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone. Enjoy them as I will. Thanks for reading my review.
- Apparently loss of sound from one earbud is a pretty common finding
     By A3PVX8IIUGV46A on 2007-12-17
When I first bought these in October 2006, one earbud plastic broke while I tried to pull it out of the package. Luckily the Tekserve folks allowed me to exchange it; apparently it happened so often V-Moda should call it a package design defect. Also, the silicon plugs keep getting pulled off so I keep losing them. My left earbud finally stopped working after 14 months of use, and I used them only once a week. Also, the bass is clear but the mids and highs are muted. I use my iPod to lower the bass just so I can hear the vocals. This is a bad product for its frequency range and durability.
- Disappointing sound
     By A3L9LMUOFH4RMZ on 2008-01-21
For me these were a waste of money. The sound is tinny and washed out. The bass isn't that great either. When used with an iPod the volume had to be cranked up just to get sound out of them. Compared with the original Apple ear buds these don't even come close. Not worth returning...probably just throw them out.
- Flimsy Cable...
     By A1581HM71I9AAS on 2008-05-09
Pros:
- Good sound quality (for me)
- ...that's it
Cons:
- Flimsy cable (The mfg should have just compare the quality with Apple's)
- Bad design connector that stick out from my player (ipod) 1 1/2 inch, combined with the flimsy cable it will easily break the wire inside in time. Should design it as a low-profile L-shape or flexible connector.
- Not sure about the copy right issue with Apple earphone, but the cable slider organizing thingy make sense and should include in most earphone design.
Overall the flimsy cable and bad connector make me lost interest immediately.
- Not all that it was made out to be but still good
     By A2DZO8MWVM4WKD on 2006-12-15
I researched earbuds for quite sometime on the internet, in magazines and with friends. It comes out to V-Moda on paper as being the best bang for the buck at $43 and some would place this product above others that cost more than $300. I love bass and I love a bargain so after reading all these reveiws about how V-Moda's bass freq was almost -too- bass heavy and loud I was reaching for my C.C. and then I read further to find out that some did not like the mids and highs while others praised them and yet others said they were ok.
After purchasing them on Amazon for a better deal than on V-Moda's own website I waited three days, impatiently, to get them and after the build up of anticipation I must admit: they DO have really good bass when and ONLY when the right song is playing else all is lost into a warbled mess of mids, highs and hard thumping blurred bass. So what did I do? I changed EQ on my Creative Zen to each preset and then went into the "Custom EQ" to make my own settings so now roughly 60% of my songs sound not only good but wonderful and the other 40% is just poor in sound.
I guess I am really happy that I didn't spend over $300 and get this but I will admit that these earbuds are quite a package (cord wrapping device, three sets of diff. size earbud attachments and they have cool music on their website) for the $43 I spent on them plus they remind me of my car stereo as far as bass goes. So, like a few people who have reviewed these earbuds I must state this again for it is very important: If you listen to rap, hiphop, techno or dance music you will appreciate this product but if you like country, metal, oldies, classical, audiobooks and show tunes I'd have to recommend you steer clear of this product.
Curiously enough, I fail to see the fashionable qualities in these earbuds. I am not saying they aren't there but I just fail to see how earbuds can become a fashion accessory like their website tries to pass it off as. Yeah, it looks cool but they are just earbuds...
The reason I gave them a 4 of out 5 is because they are very good for bass heavy applications of music playing like they and others have said but I can't say they are excellent because they fail to accuratly reproduce all styles of music that I enjoy.
- waste of money
     By A3CJICMCIPG2ME on 2007-01-08
although well hyped and styled the sound quality is poor. These should have been been labeled as 'NO BASS' earbuds. While they sound better than the Ipod buds (well anything would) the sound is tinny and lacks any hint of bass , period. Anyone would be better off with the Koss sparkplugs at 1/3 the cost
- No more dislodging earbuds
     By A1QPVMGJJ9BQLU on 2007-03-09
The V-Moda Bass Freq earbuds fit really well inside your ear. Proper earpiece is required for good fit and good sound. The thing I like best is that they do not fall out of my ear while I walk, workout or move my head. They also isolate the external sound very well. I use them at the gym and it isolates the noise from the neighboring treadmills and the sound from the earbuds is fairly good. I don't need to crank up the volume to overcome the outside noise. One thing that I am fearful of is the wires - they seem very thin and fragile. I hope the wires don't break and render the earbuds useless. They are light years better than the earbuds that came with my Iriver Clix.
- Great Bass... Not that Durable
     By A3OK4BBSWP57OH on 2007-05-16
3.5 stars is more accurate - The sound is fantastic depending on your genre of music.. for Hip Hop, Electronica, etc.. the bass is ear shaking. For Jazz, Rock, Classical... the bass is overbearing...this could be fixed with some EQ adjustments, but the mids arent perfect to an audiophile.
my setup: Creative Zen Vision:M mp3's are 192kb Variable - so good quality with oversampling.
the fit is great for me, as the smallest silicone fitting is ideal.
so 3 stars? well, the cord is encased in a plastic rubbery coating that is thin and flimsy... the wire wrap (included) is great but even with it, the cords start to fray... mine started at 5 months of daily use and the copper wire is exposed. its similar to reviews of the Sony canalphones...
why the .5 - 1 additional star rating? SIMPLE: Customer service. I wrote vmoda and got quick responses and my replacement set is in the mail. So i will be careful with the cords over the next 4 months and i'll update this review.
btw... sound quality of my OEM Creative Zen headphones is very decent.. but the fit is horrible for me... however, with some silicone additions i got at handhelditems (like griffin earjams) im happy and have been getting by without my vmoda's ok...
**Update - I've now owned these for almost 2 yrs... just recently the cords began fraying in a couple of spots and i have resorted to electric tape... with that said, they still sound fantastic but they should really do something about the cords
- Everything and more

I read the other reviews on the V-Moda buds and thought what the heck, I'll give them a try. I couldn't be more pleased. They provide the bass I was hoping for and much more. Well worth the price! In fact, I'm thinking of getting another pair just to have as an extra. The only complaint, and it's small, is the flimsy cord that runs from the buds to the i-Pod.
- good sound - poor quality

I bought it twice since I thought the first pair was just bad. The same happened to the second pair - one of the ear bud stopped working for no reason after a few weeks.
- GREAT headphones

Ordered them in white, to match my iphone.
The bass in these are AMAZING. i spend hundred's of dollars on previous headphones, including shure's and bose, and for price, and comfort, these are the best headphones I have ever purchased
Pros: Great Value, comfort, sound, and some noise cancellation. Awesome and sleek design and fit.
Cons: They DO NOT work with the iPhone. The jack is to thick, and the iPhone has a deep jack socket so they are not compatible. Therefore, to use with an iPhone, you need the Belk Adapter, which sticks out like a radio antenna because its so long.
Otherwise. AWESOME deal and Product. Highly Recommended.
