Darn Good. By A3SSDQFBBVDGRS on 2007-04-29
The fan works great and at greater distances than I'd have thought. However, it carries some warnings. The first is the usual one about not using an extension cord. The second is very strange. It advises one to wash one's hands after handling the carcinogen laden GFI plug. It's so serious a warning, we are further warned not to remove the tag containing the warning.
The whole device is well made, but it's inconvenient going inside to wash my hands after plugging it in or resetting it. Will anyone really do that? Sure. Every time.
Four stars. It would be five, but the cord is too short, limiting placement options, and the plug will kill me
Misting Fan By A3LY1HASNBCWPV on 2006-11-10
I loved this product. It made it possible to sit outside of the pool in 115 degree Arizona sunshine. It was amazing the difference in comfort, with and without the fan. I really like it, and in fact bought one for my sister for her birthday.
Thanks.

Lack Of Air & To Much Water By A37N455273DR5Z on 2007-05-13
For a high velocity fan it is lacking in comparison with other high velocity fans that we own.
The misting feature sprays a lot of water. You will get soaked if you are within 10 feet or so from the fan.
Only 6 hours of cool!!!! By A3SNGW1GG1ECPR on 2007-08-09
This fan is a great idea and it works well - until it breaks!!! Which happened six hours after we turned it on!!! The white metal within the oscillating head seems a bit weak, which is where the mechanism cracked.
Phone calls to the number listed within the product go unanswered, as does email to info@windchaser.com.
Really disappointed! I paid extra for 1 day shipping, which was equal to half the cost of the fan!!!!

Unrepairable within 20 minutes By A2GB74P52MA5NI on 2007-07-07
My fan ran at high speed for a cooling 20 minutes. The fan blades then suddenly let loose with a loud bang, and destroyed part of the protective grid at the back.
Inspection showed that the rotating fan had dislodged the plastic screw holding the blades in place. In the process, the plastic threads that were designed to hold the screw were stripped, so there was no way that the blades could be tightened back into position.
I think it is hardly worth the high cost of shipping this large fan back. I don't want a second one. Use by the manufacturer of inferior materials is the cause for this fan's quick demise.
