Brooks Ariel athletic shoes By ASW4TQ9V443SK on 2007-09-22
These shoes are the most comfortable and supportive shoe I have. I now own 4 pairs and intend to continue to get this product. I do wish they made them in different colors--I hate to wear white ones all year. I'd love a pair of black or gray Ariels but they don't make them. My feet need good cushioning and this shoe is really cushioned!I HIGHLY recommend it for "finicky" feet!
Comfy shoe for overpronators By A3JABB4NAPKLC0 on 2007-10-30
I have flat feet and overpronate. This shoe has good structuring--I've had no foot pain, minimal knee pain, etc. while jogging in these--while remaining very comfy. I've previously had some shoes for overpronators that corrected, but were not fun for jogging, like some of the New Balance 850-something series. Other shoes that were great for overpronators--like Adidas old Equipment Ride model, got discontinued and converted into other models that weren't as good.
I bought a full size up compared to the standard high heel pump size I wear, because I wear highly padded jogging socks, and found that size worked well. I have bunions, and this shoe had a large enough forefoot to accomodate that. For most people, going up a half size is probably sufficient.
My only complaints are that 1) the first few days, the heel chafed a little--I worried it went up too high on the back of the heel. I took them off, let my feet rest a few days, wore them again, took a break, etc. and the problem went away within the first 5 or so wears. Other complaint--this shoe is boringly colored. The white and medium blue color I have does nothing for me....

I need the ariel shoe because of diabetes problems and wide feet. They fit very well. I was buying from a store in the town where I live @ almost double the price. I was very glad to find them on Amazon.com. The price is terrific. It is worth waiting for it to be shipped. They come within a week and I am very happy with the product, price, speedy develivery time.
Comfortable! By AN4UPQW6LG8QD on 2008-02-27
I did a lot of research to find the right shoes. I am not a runner but wanted a shoe that would fit and support my feet while I walked since I have a bad knee. Amoung other issues with my feet they are also very wide so I was a little hesitant about buying a pair of shoes without trying them on first. I have not had one inch of problems with the Brooks. They fit great and are very comfortable. I did not have to go through a "break-in period" like I do with most shoes I purchase. The shoes feel like they were made for me! I will buy this shoe again!

I ordered the shoes through Amazon. About one week later I got an email stating they did not have the advertised item and they cancelled my order.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in a long time. I am not a runner but a two times a day dog walker and they are great. I plan on stocking up on this style.
- excellent quality

I purchased this shoe online for my wife as it helps her with her balance ans arch support. However, the sizes seem to run very small. In most shoes she wears a 6 1/2 to 7 but in this shoe we had to return the original purchase and reorder a 7 1/2 D. Still she has trouble putting the shoes on. Once on, the shoes are excellent.
- I have 5 pairs!
     By A1485UYYECEEL9 on 2008-03-22
I have wide feet and a high instep. This shoe is available in a double wide size (yep, that's my foot). This is the ONLY pair of shoes that feels wonderful on my feet. I find they run very true to size. The shoes fit a bit snuggly when I first purchase them, but the mesh does stretch. This model is the 4th generation of this shoe I've purchased, have a total of about 5 pairs. I wash them in the machine and they come out fine. My only complaint is that the mesh is a little chilly in the winter, wish it were available in a leather, or less porous fabric as well. If I can't wear these shoes to an event, I don't go.
- My umpteenth pair

The Ariel sells itself! Prescribed by my podiatrist as an everyday shoe years ago, it's the only shoe I wear, except when I must (painfully) don grownup shoes for a most special occasion. Ariel comfortably holds an orthodic and wears long and well. I do not run, but walk nearly 10,000 steps daily without the pain that used to dog me. This shoe has been a life-style saver for me.

These are the best shoe. I have arthritis and neuropathy. I have been having a very difficult time with shoes that don't hurt my feet. If you get these shoes extra wide then you have a good chance of much less foot pain. They are true to size and are very comfortable.

My foot doctor recommended this shoes for support and help with my plantar fascitis. I love them! They do give plenty of ankle support and have a firm sole which I needed. I buy a new pair or two each year because I use these to excercise in plus yard work and vacations.
- Best shoes!

These shoes are fantastic! I saved over $50 buying them on Amazon rather than in the store--and I got the exact same pair!
- Awesome

I love those shoes. They safed my feet. I have plantar fasciatis and now I am training for a half marathon. The shoes together with the poly sorb insoles are the best shoes I have ever had. I am so thanksful for the support they give me. It is important, to rotate them. I have 2 pairs. The newer one is for running and exercising, and the older one is for chores. That gives Pair # 1 time to relax from the foot pressure. The green Ariel have better support then the blue ones. If you go to a speciality shoe store, they can find and fit the right shoes for your feets individual need. I love the Ariel!
- Great Shoe for Problem feet or if you work on your feet
     By A11P815NOLS3KH on 2008-08-30
This is a very comfortable shoe. It is cool mesh in a silvery gray color not white with a beautiful mint green and silver accents. Fits true to size and very comfortable to me. This is my 2nd pair of Brooks and I have bought a pair for my husband who has flat feet and he loves his dark gray and black pair also. Seem to wear well. I have also washed my other pair in the washer and it does well. They take foot orthotics easily since they have a removable foot pad.
- Podiatrist recommended
     By AP8MDRG4D15YW on 2008-09-06
I have serious problems with my feet related to chemo 8 years ago. My podiatrist recommended these shoes for the support they give your feet. Brooks shoes have a steel shank for support in the sole, much like those old white baby shoes used to have years ago. It has made a world of difference in how I walk, and for how long I can be on my feet in a day. Highly recommended
