The Pillow Rest is equipped with a quality-tested, 20.8-gauge, waterproof flocked top, along with 15-gauge vinyl beams and 16-gauge sides and bottom. The resulting surface is comfortable and secure, whether you're sleeping at the in-laws' overcrowded house or setting up a guest bed in the basement. In addition, the Pillow Rest is remarkably easy to inflate thanks to the built-in, high-powered electric pump, which does its job in a mere three minutes. No more fussing with tiring hand or foot pumps or rummaging through the garage for your detached electric pump. And should the mattress feel a little too soft or firm, you can customize the comfort level with the touch of a button.

The Pillow Rest is raised 17.5 inches from the floor, making it far taller than most inflatable mattresses, and includes built-in pillows for added comfort. And at 40 by 19.5 by 80 inches (W x H x D), the mattress is an official twin size, making it a good fit for fitted sheets. The Pillow Rest--which offers a capacity of 300 pounds--comes with an AC power cord, a shoulder strap, and a duffel bag. It's also backed by a 90-day limited warranty.

  • Could have been better

We have a double size of these but needed a twin. I ordered this and it came pretty quick. Box was in good condition and intact. Unfortuantely the night befor our company was to arrive I went to inflate it and noticed it leakin. Just below the pump there was a 1/2 inch slic and another near slice below that. It looked like the pump or something damaged. I had no optio but to use the repair kit and keep it as I had no time to wait for a replacement or to pay the shipping again. Not sure how to avaid this. thevinyl does not seem plyable enough tha it fractured the material or something.

  • Outstanding Purchase!

I had this airbed shipped to my mother's house over the holidays for out-of-state family to sleep on. Everyone commented how really comfortable and convenient it was. It only takes minutes to inflate and deflate..the built-in pump works great. I was so happy that it didn't lose air after two weeks of use. After the New Year, it easily fit in the carrying case that comes with the mattress and packed it away in the closet for the next time!

  • comfortable kids bed

    By A3NXTLE2R3QK89 on 2007-08-23
My grandson loved sleeping on this blow up bed, he said it was so comfortable. It's a great idea if you need xtra guest beds, because it deflates and stores so easily. It takes about 3 or 4 minutes to inflate.
I would recommend this product highly.

  • Great Product

Love this bed. Second one that I have purchased. Can't beat the price for the quality.

  • Comfortable... if not for the deflation.
    By A18CV15GIPQ3EH on 2007-07-26
I received the bed, and I loved it. But after one night it almost completely deflated. I tried to find the holes but I found none, so it was kind of a waste of money.

  • surprisingly comfortable

  • Horrible product
    By AZ82FCKKI6TN0 on 2008-07-21
Using this air bed was a nightmare to my husband. It is not firm and loses air easily. It lost half of the air in 30 minutes. When my husband got up from this bed in the morning, he was almost on the floor. He slept as a curve during the night, which really hurt his waist, which affect his movement. Definitely will return to Amazon today.

  • Don't Hesitate
    By ACBHH8IEAF3H0 on 2007-08-26
I was very sceptical about buying an air bed that wouldn't deflate after 2 days, To my surprise I am extreamly satisfied with these. I bought 2 of them. I used one for my sons bed and the other, I put next to my couch in the living room floor. It fits really nice and level with the couch so it's like having a big bed. It take 2 minuets to inflate and it is really built to last. The price was great and other people were charging $15-20 Dollars to ship them(EBAY) Amazon shipped them for free and There worth twice as much as I paid. So don't hesitate,BUY BUY BUY LOL

  • Crappy Air bed
    By A2ZPH76WT8UOFX on 2008-04-07
Airbed doesn't keep air overnight. If you try to return it you will be charged a restocking fee to restock an airbed that doesn't work so you will get no refund.....exchange it for another crappy airbed...My recommendation is....don't buy this crappy airbed!!

  • Decent quality, cheap air bed. That's the key, folks an AIR bed.
    By A1D7VWS3DWS7X8 on 2008-10-24
My wife and I were in need of an air bed. I had surgery on my leg this week, and it was decided that I'd have our regular bed to myself for a few weeks. So we needed a place for my wife to sleep, as several weeks on the sofa isn't a great idea. So I set out looking for an air bed. We didn't know one brand from another, so it came down to reviews and price.

There seemed to be two sticking points with people. First, did the thing come with a pump, and how did it feel? Price too to a lesser extent. I did notice that some beds do not come with a pump, and you're looking at an additional $25 on average for a decent sized pump. We were looking for something decent, I didn't want the cheapest one imaginable, but I wasn't looking to break the bank either.

So I happened upon this one. After reading the reviews, I decided to take the plunge. My wife has slept on it for a couple of nights, and has said it is OK. I think that's what most people here who are ragging on it aren't taking into account. THIS IS AN AIR BED. If you buy this (or any other one) expecting it to feel the same as your regular box spring and mattress, then you're missing the point. Air beds aren't meant to be the same. My wife says it's comfortable enough, but she wouldn't want to sleep on it long term. Which is the point of these. Short term bed. It feels great. It has kind of a water bed feel to it (especially if you don't fill it to max capacity).

The air pump is built into the unit, you basically open a hatch, take out the plug, put it in the wall, and go. You run the pump by deciding whether or not you are going to inflate or deflate it (it sucks air out too). It filled the whole thing in about 2-3 minutes. It's somewhat loud, but not excessively loud, so if you're in a place where quiet is an issue, this might be a concern, but I imagine any pump would be that way.

Some reviews talk about leakage or punctures. Sure, it's got the potential for punctures, but what air bed does not? The package comes with a puncture repair for a few minor leaks, but we have had it inflated for a week now, and have not yet had to refill it.

It's good quality, it's cheap, and has a pump. We give it five stars, as my wife can sleep on it, and it does the job. Recommended!

  • great bed
    By A2DDSNIZS148YA on 2008-10-25
I purchased this airbed to have for guests. Upon receiving it I decided to inflate it first of all to be certain that the pump would do as described, second, to see if air would leak out and thirdly, to see if it is comfortable.
Well all three concerns were posiitive. In fact I decided sleep on it and by gosh it turned out to be most comfortable. I have back problems and when sleeping on a conventional bed I always wake up with baqck pain. Not so with this mattress. I experienced a very restful sleep and did not feel that ever nagging pain. I recommend this mattress highly

  • do you hear air?
    By A29DM59Z9SFB9F on 2008-03-29
This item loses air overnight. Must be inflated daily if not nightly. If you return this item the store won't take it back, you must ship to the maker at your expense. Or you must cut the air pump out because they don't trust you not to keep using it, like we have to trust them on their quality.

  • Comfortable
    By A1YE337RC0T0UR on 2008-10-21
We took this bed camping, and it was very comfortable to sleep on. It did lose some air overnight, so we just reinflated before going to bed. Great mattress for the price!

  • Better than Aerobed
    By A2H1BBB5PY5BXI on 2008-07-13
This Intex airbed is a lot cheaper than the Aerobed(twin for 99.00) I had.The pump is headen and out of the way.I purchased this because my family is going on vacation.I am thinking about purchasing the queen next for sleepovers.

  • Comfy cosy
    By A4FMG5G3N686C on 2008-08-29
I have owned this bed for over a month and slept on it every night. It is really comfy and hasn't lost an ounce of air since I bought it. It was really easy to inflate due to the in-built pump. I love this bed.

We were very pleased with this product. It was very reasonably priced, and shipping was quick. My son is using this at his college apt. Inflated quickly and is comfortable. I recommend this product.

  • Pillow Rest Airbed
    By A3S4X58CLFKS10 on 2008-10-01
Quickly sets up and takes down. Great sleeping and is wide enough and long enough, and most important strong enough for a 5'11", 230 lb. guy like me. We purchased one each for my wife and I to use when we go out on disaster relief,(as we have twice in past couple of months). Easily compacted for storage and and stands high enough that it is easy to get on and off of. You don't have to worry about loosing pump and having to carry an extra pillow.

  • Excellent product for the price
    By A2YV4M09HLNLF4 on 2008-10-27
Durable and EXTREMELY comfortable. Loses a little air over extended use, but adding air very easy.

  • Intex Pillow Rest Twin Airbed with built-in electric pump
    By A36QSTUOGW26UW on 2008-11-09
I purchased this bed because I wanted to put it in a very small living room space. [The space is a combined livingroom/dining area.] I thought it would be suitable for a reading area. I planned to put a nice cover on it and some throw pillows.

The bed has a coil type surface. I find it uncomfortable. It makes creaking noises while in use. I've owned it just about a month. At first, no extra air was needed. I added air about once a week. Now, it needs air several times a day. I considered returning it, but will not because it was very cheap.

I also purchased the Intex Supreme Air-Flow Queen Airbed Nylon flocked with built in electric pump. I haven't used it yet. I purchased it for use as a guest bed.

I own the previous model with the memory foam top. I received it as a gift. It was comfortable. It started losing air after about a month and requires refills often. Finally, the pump broke and no longer works. I use a manual air pump for it now. It doesn't stay full for the whole night. I couldn't send it back because the postage cost too much.

    Suggestions:
Buy products at this site that are sold and shipped by Amazon--NOT other sellers. Amazon has supersaver shipping, ships in a timely manner and is great about reurn and replacement of items.

This air matress is perfect when you have last minute guest sleeping over. It is very comfortable and the built in pump is very handy.

A great item, perfect for family or friend visits.

    Good value, good quality.

  • good time, good shape
    By AA52FM2IMQS37 on 2008-05-04
I would recommend this air mattress. I ordered two of them for occasional use at a "cabin." They arrived in good time and good shape. I noticed that they are slightly longer than some others (80" instead of 76"). We haven't used them enough to know how durable they are, but I would definitely recommend this air mattress for occasional use.

  • have to inflate it every night
    By A2RUP9TWE25P0L on 2008-11-11
I bought this about a month back and initially it was pretty good. But now I have to inflate it every night before I go to bed as it gets pretty deflated by the morning. The size and feel is pretty good but inflating it every night gets pretty frustrating. My friend has been using a different and more expensive brand for over 6 months now and he has had no problems. So I suggest spend a little more money to get a better deal.
