Good Product but not Overnight Wonder By A3TY7STSCZDA9C on 2007-11-20
I have a 10 month old purebred Bichon Frise. Only one of her eyes waters a little. The watering began when she was teething and loosing her baby teeth. Any watering on a pure white dog will stain no matter how much you clean it.
I gave the lowest recommended dose to her on top of her food. Her appetite did not change. (However, the powder does get in her hair- which Bichons have a lot of, so I will sprinkle a little water on top to make it stick to the food better.)After 2 months and 2 monthly hair trims (which is a must for Bichons), my babies eyes are BOTH white now. I am starting to give this to her every other day and try to wean her off of it. So far, the stains have not come back.
BEFORE giving this to your dog I would recommend the following: #1- Check their diet for dyes, beets, or by-products. My dog eats only Innova Puppy Food, so there are no dyes, beets, or by-products causing the staining. #2- Check for stray hairs- My baby has the hair trimmed back from her eyes, so the watering is not irritation. #3- Use only Stainless Steel Bowls- others could have dyes in the plastics.
Great product that really works. By ANLTNOF2J9R5 on 2007-05-01
I don't usually take the time to write a review on products but I had to write one for Angels Eyes. I have a 7lb Shih Tzu w/ all white fur around his face and this product has worked wonders.
We got him at 12 weeks and the staining was really bad. I did not start using this product until he was 9 months old because I thought maybe he was just teething and it was causing the staining. I used Angels Eyes for 2-3 weeks before I actually saw a difference. I was happy that it worked but disappointed that there was still some staining. I have now used it for 2 months and the red staining is gone completely (after cutting the old fur away). He still tears when he's running around playing and his whiskers and fur is wet around the nose and mouth but there is no red color. He also has no problem eating the Angels Eyes if it's mixed in w/ some canned food.
Works great, but made my dog sick By A1QQX2RED5ZA6F on 2007-12-16
This product does work very well, that is why I was disappointed when my dog started vomiting after two weeks of using this stuff. I guess his system could not digest it. His vomit was filled with this stuff. When he first started vomiting I stopped giving him Angel's Eyes and the vomiting stopped. I gave him Angel's Eyes again and after a few days he started vomiting again. It is too bad it makes him sick, because it works very well.
Too easy!!! By A1GSJM9CJB98QB on 2007-03-09
After owning 2 white dogs. I finally found something that works. Best of all I don't have to think about using it. I keep it by their food, add it and it's done!!! No tear stains!!! Just very cute dogs!!!
You'll be amazed, this product really works! By A3V7XAB36HX05 on 2007-06-14
I have a cream-white colored maltipoo. He had a problem with stained, leaky eyes (they say it is caused by red yeast). It would make his face all brown and stained. I tried sooo many topical products that didn't work. I finally found Angel Eyes. This product works from within. You sprinkle it on your dogs food everyday. You'll see a difference and get so many compliments on your dogs clean face! No more stains or leaky eyes, just a beautiful white face!

This product does just what it says it can do. I have two Maltese and they had dark tear stains. This product cleared them up completely. Thanks Angels Eyes.
- for real!

After trying the usual wipes and rubs to no avail, my white poodle's face showed permanent unsightly tear stains from his eyes to his mouth. I bit the bullet and spent (too much, I thought) on Angels Eyes to remove the stains. The groomer laughed at me until I brought Snickers in for his shave & haircut--she was shocked to see that this sprinkle-on natural food supplement really works! I'm able to double the time between groomings; the product is worth every cent!! So I'll be buying another bottle today.
- Amazing all natural whitener
     By A175MKYOFAIIHP on 2007-02-11
This is an amazing product. We have a white Bichon and he had terrible staining around the mouth, but after 2 months the stains were gone. The before and after photos prove that it works. Our friends can not believe the positive effects and they are using it now on their dogs.
- It works
     By A1XVHLQMGSBZ1W on 2007-10-31
It works quickly and this is a great price. Results on my Shih-Tzu in days. I don't use the full dose, but did for about a week. Now I give her what amounts to a little more than 1/3 the recommended amount and I am happy with the looks of the new hair growth. She doesn't mind the taste--to me it smells like a mild dog food.
- I was elated in the beginning!
     By A3AMRL2O7IDOZN on 2007-08-27
Angel's Eyes has great results, but I started noticing that my poodle's fur and skin were drying out. Also, the groomer had pointed this out, plus the groomer noticed that the poodle was developing a couple of sores on her paws. There is an ingredient in Angel's Eyes that is a natural antibiotic. The more research I did on this ingredient, I realized that it was not good for my poodle. It can cause fungus in the body.
I will not use it anymore, since there are side effects.

- Only product I found to actually work!
     By AR0ZJDNKJ7HD7 on 2007-09-16
It was amazing how the awful tear stains disappeared from my Toy Poodles eyes!! Easy to use and does what it says. Only problem I found was that I was not able to "wean" dog off it w/o stains coming back- he has to stay on it all the time to keep eyes clear.
- adverse reaction
     By A1XFDENWJPXQCI on 2007-04-23
This incident report is about the Angel's Eyes powder used on a sixteen (160 Pound poodle, 7 Years old. The product was purchased based on advertising and received promptly.
When used the first day we noticed our dog could not keep his eyes open because of apparent light sensitivity. This continued until day two or for approximately 30 hours and gradually subsided.
When the manufacture was called it was blamed on Liver allergy, which had never surfaced before. It was suggested we take the dog to a vet and he/she determined product sensitivity we could return the product for "up to 50% refund. If you are a perspective buyer I am sure you can do the math and understand why we did not follow through. (After the cost of bringing the dog to the vet and then shipping it would have cost me more)
The bad side - we spent about $80.00 on a product that did not work for us . The good side - our dog was/is just fine once the side effect, adverse reaction wore off.
Buyers be careful of this product

- Solid 4 Stars!

I've tried over 5 other topical products including Eye Envy for tear stains on my two Maltese dogs and nothing worked, except for Angels Eyes. I was a complete skeptic, but noticed a huge difference in my friend's dog after using Angels Eyes for only one month. After two months of daily use my dogs both have no tear stains. Their faces are still slightly peach from old staining, but the new growth is white! In addition, my female Maltese always licked her feet and had pink feet (so cute), but her feet are now completely white. My dogs no longer have goop around their eyes, although my male still has clear tears and moist fur around his eyes. My dogs hate the taste so I have to mix it with some moist food. I don't add it to their food or water because they won't eat or drink then. I give them each a little spoon of wet dog food with the powder mixed in as a daily treat. I give them each a little less than 1/8 tsp. daily and they weigh 5.5 and 6.5 lbs. This is less than half the daily recommendation, but it still works. I would recommend purchasing the 120g bottle, because I used the 30g bottle in less than a month. Why not treat the problem internally, versus trying to cover it up with topical treatments? It also saves me so much time because I don't have to clean their eyes daily anymore. Great product!

This product really works. I have been giving it to my Cavachon dog now for a month and the staining is gone. You have to trim away the stained hair, but the new hair is stain free. The only draw back for some, might be the cost. I think it's worth it.
- IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know how but this really works.I have tried a lot of products but nothing seem to do a good job.A dog breeder ( Maltese ) told me about this and to try it.I have a maltese and figured what the heck.So I found the best price on Amazon and ordered it.
In one week I could see a BIG differences. It does cost a little more then some products but worth it cause it works.
- It Works!
     By A2U6K3OKKJ7OGH on 2007-11-14
I've been using this product for about 1 month and simply put the product REALLY works! No iffs ands or butts about it.
I don't even use it at the full strength recommended either. I use about 50-60 of the recommended amount.
My one recommendation to anyone looking to use this is product is not mix this into the pets water either (as the bottle recommends). My reason why is that the product will simply float in the water (even if you put it in the bowl and then add the water). Then if your pet doesn't drink all of their water the product becomes wasted. Instead I take a Tablespoon of wet dog food (my dog is on 100% dry food so this now becomes a treat for him) and mix the product in with that instead with a spoon. My dog eats it all up in a matter of seconds and gets all of the product also.
My dog still tears daily, but now the color is clear instead of red. My friends and family have also notices the difference too.
Lastly, I have noticed that once I skipped more than 2 days (if I forgot to give it too him) at this point in time the red stains started to come back. So I recommend that you don't miss more than one day until the bottle recommends that you move to a new feeding schedule, else you too will probably see this too.
Again, I highly recommend this item.

My white Bijon was turning pink on her face. After using Angel Eyes a couple weeks and being groomed, she is totally white now. It really works and she likes the taste on her food.
- Really works
     By A1CCIUQOIR41SG on 2007-12-21
I had gone through two of the smaller sized bottles purchased directly from the manufacturer and noticed a big difference in my Shih Tzu's eye drainage. When I ran out, I was debating on whether to keep up with the Angels eyes because of the expense, but noticed the drainage and tear stains return when she was off of it. The larger bottle is more economical and the price on Amazon was the best I've found.
- DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!
     By A8Y4TPCHR1ZKD on 2008-06-27
Angels Eyes did not help the tear stains on my Maltese. When I got him at four months old, he had a little bit of staining, but nothing terrible. Once he started teething about a month later, it got really bad. I spent $60 on the Angel eyes because the reviews on here were good, and the breeder recommended it as well. I followed the instructions verbatim for three months, and nothing happened. It was a total waste of money, and I found out a secret from my groomer who agreed Angel Eyes is garbage. Dilute Hydrogen Peroxide with water, and rub it with a cotton ball on the tear stains. Then put a little vasoline on the spot so the tears roll off the fur, and do not settle in. I do it once in the morning and once at night, and his tear stains are completely gone. It also helps to keep the hair by the eyes short and clean. BOTTOM LINE, this product is not healthy to use long term(according to my dog's vet) and there are other more cost-effective alternatives available (the bottle of Peroxide was 75 cents at the drugstore!).

This product did not quite meet all of my needs as far as completely eradicating the stains as other products do. The product however was very palatable for my dog.
After the use of the entire bottle(over a period of a couple of months or so), my little girl still had some stains unfortunately.
- No More Tear Stain
     By A2NORFYBIENU2V on 2007-04-11
I've had Angel's Eyes for about 3 weeks and I can already see an improvement in my dogs appearance. She's a cream colored poodle so the red tear stains were always very apparent. Since I've been giving her the supplement I've noticed a considerable difference. Her eyes still get a little weepy every now and again but I'm confident that with continued use she'll only improve. The only downside is that even though Angel's Eyes is liver flavored, my puppy doesnt seem to like it very much. If i put it in with her breakfast she's sure to finish it before the end of the day but she definitely doesnt attach her food with the same gusto. It could just be that my dog is exceptionally picky. On the plus side, the supplement doesnt make her sick, (she has a weak stomach and tends to throw up just about anything that isn't her regular kibble). All in all, I would definetly recommend this product to anyone with a light colored puppy who has problems with unsightly tear stains.
- Angle Eyes Tear stain remover
     By A11ETKQJFJCEWW on 2007-05-12
I have a small Foxy-Poo dog with a white face, the tear stains were really nasty and brown and ruined her looks. I tried many other tear stain removers and none of them worked, but Angle Eyes worked big time it was amazing. You could see it working in only a week. Its expensive but worth every penny.
- You have to get it INSIDE the dog! - UPDATED!!!!
     By A2G1LRD120SJPC on 2007-08-23
Previously, I wrote a negative review of this product (1 star, which I cannot get Amazon to change). I could not get my dogs to eat the product and felt it was a waste of money. I was adding it to every imaginable food. I then tried offering the Angel Eyes BY ITSELF and they LOVE it. Still won't eat it on their food or water, but only by itself. Okay, so my apologies for the previous review. Once I got this bit of insight, I can saw immediate results! GREAT PRODUCT -- will buy again.
- Its working!
     By ATLHCMDY5GSP1 on 2007-09-08
I hesitated on buying this product before because of the price. However, after trying other products, I decided to try this. It is working. The hair around my Bichon Frise's eyes is not being stained by her tears. I'm clipping away the already stained hairs and her face is starting to glow. The product will last for awhile because there's a lot of powder in the container and I only have to sprinkle a little bit on her food daily.
- Miracle product!
     By A2F02FLZ24RVUX on 2007-09-16
I have four Maltese and am alway's looking for a safe way to deal with tear stains. Angel Eye's is a wonderful product that works extremely well. I mix it with a small spoon full of canned holistic dog food and my maltese love it. It has even helped with one of them having allergies.
- Don't Hesitate
     By A1NTMWFAN927F6 on 2007-09-26
Yes, it is expensive, but this actually works. My bichon-poodle had awful tearstains, and they are almost completely gone after a month of use. She's a very picky eater, so I was worried this would be difficult to get her to eat everyday, but she loves it. She actually licks the Angels Eyes off of the dry dog food and leaves the kibble for later. Buy this, it works.
- Angels' Eyes eliminates rusty eyes
     By A2GQRKLB1QSYL1 on 2007-10-26
I started using angels' eyes on my maltese-shi tzu 8 weeks ago. I noticed a considerable decrease in the rusty stains on his white face within the first TWO weeks. This product delivers on its' promises. I actually gave my dog less than recommended daily dose. I would recommend buying the 120 gram size over the 30 gram size (it is a better deal and I found that I used up the 30 gram container in about 3 weeks).
- Outstanding Product
     By ATW7YJ8QDXLVQ on 2008-01-07
Finally, something that actually works on my Maltese's eye stain. I have tried numerous other products (wipes, drops, Mrs. Stewarts Bluing, etc...) with no results. I could see results within the first week. The tear stains are totally gone and have been for several months. Simple to use by just adding to your pets food.
- needs nutritional analysis
     By A14RB5A7VG8QGO on 2008-06-05
Given the main ingredient is liver this manufacturer should provide an estimate of the amount of vitamin A in each serving.
- I see a difference w/Angels Eyes
     By A2UIC0S41CCCQ7 on 2007-05-25
I have been using this product for over a month on my Shih Tsu/Bishon Mix 1 year old dog. I see a remarkable difference in his eyes, and am pleased with the outcome. I mix it into his food, and he doesn't seem to notice it. I will continue using this product!
