Perfectly grilled a wide assortment of meats.... By ADIHFT1RACD2Q on 2007-04-06
My family and I had a recent BBQ and set this unit up on the picnic table next to a cooler full of assorted meats..Guests were grilling knockwurst, brots, wieners, franks, sausage and kielbasa. We thought the kids would love it, But all our guests raved about it. By evenings end the grill was a mess,Unit's Cover and removable tray in dishwasher, wash and wipe down non-stick rollers and stainless body, reassemble, and it's ready to go.
Not really designed for a crowd. Perfect for our small family.

Great Griller By A3MOJRNREXMNW7 on 2007-05-12
My son loves the hot dogs at Home Depot...he has to get one every time we go there. After one of our recent trips there he had to get a hot dot, after he ate it he said "wish we could make this at home". So, I found this one on Amazon.com, it seemed like the best quality and value.
For best results, cook on low setting with the top down. It takes a little longer, but, it's worth the wait! The hot dogs were so good, we were eathing them for breakfast.
It is so easy to use, the kids can do it on their own.

Waring Pro HDG100 400-Watt Hot-Dog Griller
I wish it would have worked, the reviews seemed so good. I recieved my first one damaged. The red indicator lens was broken and the control switch would not go to the low speed/temp position. Returned item and recieved a second griller. It also had a broken indicator light lens and the switch would not go to the Hi speed/temp position. So, I returned it and did not get a replacement. Never even got a cooked hot dog out of the deal.
- Hot Dog Griller review

This product is everything its description says it is. It is truly easy to clean, cooks a hot dog in minutes and keeps them on a warm cycle if needed. Our club made the purchase to have food available to the members and since we are outside we needed a cooker with a lid to keep insects and contaminents away. This was the perfect choice for us

I like the hot dog griller the only thing I would like is a way to heat the buns. But otherwise it's very nice.

- Great Appliance
     By ASF25SENZQM91 on 2007-09-28
I bought this hot dog cooker for a room I turned into a sports bar for my husbands birthday present. I thought it would be a great addition to the bar while he and his friends were watching the games. It turned out to be a very big hit, everyone loves it and loves how the hotdogs stay hot. It's easy to clean and keeps the men and women fed while having fun watching sports.
I would highly recommend this Hot dog Griller, I'm even considering purchasing one for the kitchen for the Grandkids.

- Good Idea Shoddy Manufacturing
     By A4ECDZCA2SRPB on 2008-01-15
The idea of convenient store hotdog grills is a good one, nothing beats that taste. This particular grill however has some serious manufacturing flaws. First of all the lower temp is not sufficient to do more than warm a weiner and takes a long time to do that straight from the fridge. The high temp will cook them to charcoal in twenty minutes. You can switch from high to low when they finish cooking to keep them warm, but that means you have to stand over them to watch for the moment they are done, and again, the warm isn't very warm. Secondly, the plastic lid has very brittle and small hinges. It broke lose as I was wiping it with a sponge. Which brings me to three, it is very, very messy inside, though it does not drip on the counter, and since it is not all immersible, it is very difficult to clean the thick layer of grease it creates with each batch. Finally, the temperature button is very delicate, mine broke and will now cook only on high. My husband opened it up and the switch is all plastic with very thin brittle parts. Like the hinge it seems designed to break even under very light use. I have had other Waring products that were nmuch better quality. This one was a "prize" from work and is now with the other dead appliances in my husbands workshop. I would not buy this one, though I might try another brand.
- Dream come true

This will soon become my most used kitchen item. After trying this out for the first time, I am not disappointed. The hot dogs (or sausages or brats) cook quickly, evenly, and taste fantastic. The clean up is a breeze thanks to the non-stick surfaces and slide out drip pan.
- BROKEN ITEM
     By A1LH82ZMPJLBIS on 2008-01-08
I should have listened to the guy who receive the Waring Pro with the broken switch and indicator light. Mine, too, came damaged and I am returning it for a refund. I will take my chances at a local appliance store instead. Very disappointed, as I ordered this item as a Christmas gift for my husband.
