These weights have a nice feel to them (more comfortable than vinyl, for the same price), but like the above reviewer said, they only work if you use them. 5-lb weights are very suitable for beginners to purchase. It may be heavy at first, but as you get stronger, 3-lbs will get too light. 5-lbs will also get the toning done, without bulking you up.

This product is just what it says it is: a pair of blue 5 lbs. weights. The material it's covered in is pretty nice to hold, better than just metal or sooth plastic in my opinion.
I bought mine as my first pair of handweights to start working my triceps so I don't get those "bingo-wing" flaps, and they've worked great. Great for toning, especially for women like me, I would recommend heavier for bulk strength training.

If you are looking for 5lb weights, these are great. The neoprene cover is very comfortable to hold. Perfect for at-home toning exercises!
Great for Jazzercise & Strength training

I have used my 5 lb weights for several months now and they are wonderful. The texture of these weights makes them very easy to grip and the blue color is pretty too. These are my second set of Valeo weights I have owned and I would highly recommend them to my fellow Jazzers and anyone looking for a nice set of weights that won't break your wallet. (The pink three lb weights I had previously were nice too just not challenging enough for this die hard Jazzercise nut)

Product arrived quickly. It was well packaged and the weights themselves are great. The neoprene covering makes it a lot softer. Love it.

I bought these and the 3 pound weights from the same company. They are very comfortable to hold. The weight is distributed managably, and they included a poster to show the many different exercises that can be done with the weights (rather than simply lifting them). I'm very impressed, and will likely buy a higher weight once I get to that level.

They are blue, 5lbs each. They are easy to grip and hold on to. They work well for me.
